My brother in-law ordered from their website which is run via a company, "Slice." Which, by the way, doesn't matter. If you as a business owner decide to place your business online like that - it's yours. Own it. Do not blame somebody else.
Anyway, he ordered my sister a wheat pizza with cheese, because she doesn't eat meat.
First - the order took like an hour to reach us.
Second - when it finally did get here, the pizza was all wrong. Tons of toppings, including chicken - meat.
My brother in-law called the restaurant. The first guy he spoke to had an attitude and asked. "Well whattya want me to do? Drive six miles to you and bring you another pizza?!" He was on speaker, so we all heard.
My thoughts? Yea you freakin jackass. We gave you money for a service. You as the business , did not provide that service. We as consumers, are giving you our hard earned money and we chose your place over all others to do business with, and you are going to give us, attitude? Screw you. Where do you come off? Your reply should be, "thank you. Your business is important to me, it would be my pleasure to make good and bring you the right pizza."
Then somebody else got on the phone. She's nicer, but claims that their paper menu clearly states how that particular pizza comes and that that the site we ordered from is to blame. That they were wrong, so they need to reimburse. My brother in-law had to explain twice: once to the restaurant and another time to the "Slice" people that he chose the pizza, picked no toppings and that his confirmation clearly listed just a wheat pizza with cheese.
Now "Slice" needs to contact the restaurant to find out what the issue is. My brother in-law may not get his money back. Like a bank researching a fraud claim on a debit card.
Simple as this: pizza was ordered from a pizza place. Pizza was paid for, did not arrive as ordered.
Business needs to make right. Somebody needs to make right.
Hey - its YOUR website. That is what your establishment puts online and asks customers to order from.
Its not hard. Reimburse the money.
Or better yet, I would love that first guy to yes, drive us another pizza. I won't even eat it, I just want him to do it because he was a jerk about it. I want to look him in the eye and smile at him as he hands it to me. Then i might feed it to my dog.
