The Best Food Neighborhoods in the USA - AFAR

"I wrestle with an impossibly large menu of Yemeni-American classics at Dellah Coffee & Brunch House—favorites include the lahm sighar (minced beef with onions and Hawaiʻj spices), bubbling shakshuka with perfectly poached eggs in rich tomato sauce, and pistachio-studded pancakes layered with ashta." - Ashlea Halpern

Best Arab American Coffee Shops in Dearborn | Eater Detroit

"Two sisters who grew up roasting coffee beans for their grandmother launched this Yemeni American brunch cafe. Murals that adorn the walls were created to pay homage to the memory of those moments, while the menu offers ashta pistachio pancakes, shakshuka, and laham sigar along with pots of Mofawar coffee prepared with cream and cardamom." - Courtney Burk

Dellah is the place to be. Visiting from Toronto for a wedding, we wanted to try Dearborn's top breakfast spots—and Dellah was so good we came back both days we were there. The cardamom rose latte was outstanding, and the shakshuka and lahm sigar were some of the best I've ever had, with generous portions. The kids loved the pistachio and strawberry pancakes, and the service was great throughout. If I lived in Windsor, I'd cross the border monthly for this place. Being four hours away makes it harder, but we're already planning our return this summer. Thanks for the excellent experience!

Google
Went here for my cousins birthday lunch good and fast service. Waitress very friendly Deidre ans Mona both were great. The food was amazing and loved the atmosphere. We ordered Lahsa, Tres Leches Pancakes ( I ordered French toast but they were out so got pancakes) Chicken Southwest Skillet eggs on the side, Lahm Sighar, turkey bacon, sausage, fries and a smores latte enjoyed everything. The Lahsa is the favorite.

Google
What an absolute gem. This family-owned and operated breakfast spot is everything you hope for and more. The food was phenomenal, the environment was warm and welcoming, and the service was outstanding from the moment we called to the moment we left. Abdullah was incredible — so kind, attentive, and full of the best recommendations. You can truly feel the care and love behind this place. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it and will be recommending it to everyone we know. 💛🥞

Google
The portions were sizable and the atmosphere was great. We were here for brunch and there were a lot of options. We ordered the Fasolia, Yemeni Scrambled Eggs, Chicken Fajita Omelette, Seasonal Cinnamon Pancakes, and Salted Caramel Mocha. My only criticism regarding the food was that it lacked seasoning. This was especially the case for the omelette and scrambled eggs. I’m also not from the area but the prices felt steep for the location, nearly the same prices I pay in Seattle.

Google
I believe the waitresses name was Sidra. She was so kind, informative, and on the ball with service. The food was amazing and I will definitely be returning. Everything was so fresh and good.

Google
I had an amazing experience today at Dellah Coffee & Brunch House. I ordered the Yemeni foul and added two poached eggs on top, cooked perfectly medium—no excess liquid to mess up the dish, which made it so enjoyable to eat. The food was absolutely spectacular and truly authentic; you can feel the Yemeni identity and care in every bite. The service was five-star from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and kept checking to make sure I had everything I needed. Service was fast, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. One highlight I must mention is the fresh, authentic bread they bake—it was delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great brunch, especially if you want to enjoy an authentic Yemeni brunch experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
First time at Dellah Coffee & Brunch House and I’m glad I came. It was my first time trying Yemeni food, and I walked in a little nervous because I wasn’t sure how to order or what to pick. Shahine (my server) was genuinely kind and made it easy. He talked me through the menu and helped me choose both food and drinks without making me feel clueless. I ordered the Lahm Sighar and the Dellah Signature Latte and both were really yummy. A customer next to me bought me a Jubani to go she said I had to try it. Great first experience, great service, and Shahine is the reason it felt so welcoming. I’ll be back.

Google
The food is delicious!! A most visit spot to stop for brunch or any occasion!! The latte is fabulous and a must try also!!! The staff is welcoming and friendly. I will definitely visit again!

Yelp
This place is literally a hidden gem. It's literally on a side street that's across from the back parking lot of a CVS. I only know how to find it because I used to live around there, but I wouldn't have known about it if I didn't search Yelp. The food really was amazing. There has been a huge influx of Yemeni coffee houses in the area, but the first that also serves a full menu of brunch food that includes traditional options and your more American options - omelets, pancakes, etc. I was in the mood to try something traditional. I went with the Lahm Sighar. It's a minced meat dishes with onions and peppers, with Yemeni flavors. It comes with a giant piece of khubz (think naan). Obviously you don't have to, but you're supposed to pick the food up with pieces of khubuz if you want the authentic experience. I would compare Lahm Sighar to Corned Beef Hash if you're at an American diner if you're tying to picture it. It was really crowded, so that's a good sign, but the service was still great. They made sure I understood what I was getting into when I asked for Medium Spicy. Since I only go back to the Dearborn area every few months now, I anticipate this is now my newest go-to brunch spot. So glad I found this place. :-)

Yelp
Found this place out of random and I'm glad I did. For staters(unless it's different depending on the day) but you wait to be seated, They come and take your order They have a wide selection of coffee either ice/hot Food was in and out quick I didn't see my server much but it's okay I'll still come back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
My first visit here and I absolutely loved it. There is PLENTY of seating indoors with a large parking lot right in front of the restaurant. Service was good, but the food was the star of the show. Ordered Lahm Sighar لحم صغار, and it was delicious. Quantity is plentiful, meat was savory and moist, and spice level was just right after asking for "medium." Although I didn't get to take a picture of the khubz that came with the entree, it was humongous. Price is 100% reasonable and maybe on the slightly cheaper side if you consider the quantity and when compared to other brunch restaurants. I would love to come again to try their skillet. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Wow. Really, really good from the tea to every single dish. And our server was so personable and charming he felt like a friend.

Yelp
This is a place not to miss if you're in Dearborn. Great brunch and breakfast place. The food was most excellent and the service as well. The staff accommodated about 18 people in our party with ease and a shot out to Ahmed our server as well as the rest of the staff. Check out my pics on the food.

Yelp
Amazing tea!! Wow!! So delicious and smooth. Really friendly and welcoming service. I can't wait to come back and eat here. I hear the brunch is delicious. I want to try everything on the beverage menu. I had the traditional Yemeni tea and it was the best tea I've had in a long time. I want to try the espresso drinks too. The entire menu looks so good. Spacious interior and plenty of seating. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Loveeeeeee this spot since it opened up! I've been coming here on the regular and I'm addicted to the ASHTA & PISTACHIO PAN CAKES . The pan cakes are pillowy, the ingredients are fresh but the coffee is to die for! So fresh and superrer juicy. Your taste buds will make you keep coming back for more and more and more. I know I have. Everytime I come here I always try something different on the menu. Always friendly staff working here which makes the experience pleasant. Plenty of indoor seating. It's clean, vibrant and friendly. Thank you, MOE That is all Chief Don't wonder if you are doing the wrong thing . Worry about having honor and being humble . :)) ISN'T THAT RIGHT SAMA C

Yelp
Amazing!! 5 stars across the board from start to finish. The food is so delicious and the portion sizes are great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The cuisine is so deliciously flavored, we didn't want any of it to go to waste. The lahm sighar had plenty of flavorful spices and the meat was cooked perfectly tender. My chai latte and avocado toast were great as well. Highly recommend any of their coffee or tea beverages, there are so many choices I doubt you can make a wrong choice here. I loved my husbands mocha iced latte, the coffee flavor was very well blended with the mocha/chocolate. Very easy to find and parking was easily found across the street in a public parking lot. I am not from the area but I sure wish I lived near this restaurant!

Yelp
10/10, no notes. Everything I ate was phenomenal and was served hot & fresh. Great flavors. Would recommend and will be back.

Yelp
The food is decent but wow they need to decideeeee is it self serve or a sit down restaurant? I don't know why it's both and neither?? We had to order the 2 yr olds food up front but when I tried to do the rest they told us to sit and they would come. But then no one came to refill waters or check in on us at any point so we had to wave them down to ask for the side they forgot. They also forgot the kids juice which was just a boxed oj and then my other cousins side order so we had to make sure it wasn't on the receipt. If they fix their service they can easily be a 4 but until then no more than a 3. The Dellah plate is HUGE. Very much two meals for the price of one lol. They bring a plate of French toast and then the plate with the eggs and meat. The pancakes were dry (3/5) per my cousins who had them. Then my cousin who got the southwest skillet swears by it and thinks it is amazing. I didn't try it so can't confirm or deny. I liked my Dellah plate but three of us ordered and I think they confused our choices bc we put in our order in the device but the platting was def confused bc I got turkey sausage but ordered beef and my husband got beef but ordered turkey. My other cousin loved her shakshuka but it was a lot so she only had about half.

Yelp
Love this place amazing food, drinks and service, it's a chilling place I love the servers so helpful, kind and quick. You feel like your home here.

Niecey S.

Yelp
The food was absolutely phenomenal and that leaves no question as to if it's worth visiting! But to make a palatable experience even better they provided top notch and attentive service. Recommended the best things on the menu. It's a place to take the family and enjoy the family style vibes in a cute lowkey spot. Highly recommend the biscoff latte iced!

Yelp
If you're visiting Dearborn, this is the place to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or early dinner! Restaurant was clean and our waiter was nice and attentive! The food was out of this world delicious! The coffees that paired with breakfast were incredible! Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back for more!

Yelp
Great area for casual dining. I've been for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The service is always great, an accommodating. Everything is delightful!

Yelp
Stopped in on a busy Sunday morning. The staff was friendly and handling the chaos well. I had the pumpkin pancakes...so fluffy! It had great flavor and wasn't overly sweet (which I am great full for). The pumpkin spice latte was delicious and also not super sweet. My husband had the biscoff pancakes also great! The biscoff sauce was delicious and the ice cream provided a nice balance.

Yelp
This is absolutely one of my new favorite places in the Metro-Detroit area. I'm almost afraid to write this review because I don't want to ruin it. When we first arrived, it was simple enough to get in line, place our order, and find ourselves a seat. The atmostphere felt lively without being too packed or slow. It balances that vibe of fast-casual: you place your order at the front and then seat yourself. They'll bring the food to your table. The food itself just made my stomach sing. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but the Lahm Sigar with the freshly baked bread aboslutely hit the spot. The eggs were also fantastic, though personally the Sigar was more my style. Still, it's hard to imagine this place striking out otherwise. I'm genuinely so excited to come back and try something new... but also reorder the lahm sigar. Decisions. Decisions. My friend and I can't wait to come back here, bringing all our friends with us too.

Yelp
5 stars! I was looking for brunch spot in Dearborn. The commoner is popular but man they have an attitude and need a reservation because they are on a main road. Anyway, glad I found this. Something different. Usually all brunch spots taste the same like First Watch. What caught my eye is the Ashta and pistachio pancake. So good. They have other flavor too but the Ashta and pistachio syrup really goes well. Looks good too. Every thing else is too quality. Owners make the cakes at home. The only thing I don't like is their hash browns, I know it is premade like the one you can buy in Walmart .
google avatar

Aminah K.

Yelp
The service of this place is just so bad. The atmosphere is way too chaotic. They dont have any waiter/waitress who actually come to your table to help you. If you need anything you have to either wave them down or go to the front counter. With such a busy restaurant this was just so annoying. I had to ask for simple things like plates. They gave us plastic cutlery and when I asked for actual silverware they said they didn't have. The wait staff was not friendly at all. The food is alright. I'm not a fan of the shakshuka which was way too strong of a tomato flavor. The ashta pistachio pancakes tasted good but were dense and not soft and fluffy. I enjoyed the southwest skillet. I don't see myself coming here again.
google avatar

Nav S.

Yelp
Fantastic latte and food variety! Service was a bit confusing because you have to go order at the counter then go sit down. It was loud but totally worth it. Seems to be a hit for breakfast/brunch crew. I can't wait to go back and try the Yemeni breakfast they offer.

Yelp
Wanted to try somewhere new with my hubby. He loves specialty waffles and smoothies while savory foods and delicious coffees/ teas are my jam. We had no idea what to expect. Let me tell you....Dellah Coffee & Brunch House DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! We received a warm welcome and great service from every staff member we interacted with. My husband and I loved every single thing we ordered. Seriously. The drinks were really good, food was flavorful, filling and good portions (we had leftovers for later). This is one of my new must go to places and we plan to become regulars!! Thank you for a delicious meal and the hospitality.

Deborah I.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and breakfast. We enjoyed the experience and Yemeni flavors. This is a hidden gem you don't want to miss. Great coffee, pancakes and savory dishes.

Susie S.

Yelp
I love the ambiance of Dellahs. Walls are murals depicting life in Yemen. Open seating comfortable chairs. The service is great . Very helpful and gracious . Food is amazing. Large portions definitely shareable. Well seasoned and fresh. Don't miss this spot. Our go to before we go to DTW .

Yelp
The food was amazing. I came with a friend for the first time and will definitely will be back with more friends. I got the Yemeni scrambled eggs and meat dish with pancake Ashta pistachio for desert. Fun atmosphere, amazing food and service- definitely check this spot out you won't regret it.

Yelp
Coffee is good here but the food is what I come for. So many options to pick from so little time!
google avatar

Wilda D.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service! Very clean and calming ambiance that made you feel very welcome. The lahm soghar was amazing and one order was more than enough for my husband and I. It easily feeds three people. We stopped by while on vacation as soon as we picked up our rental and would highly recommend.
google avatar

Maheen B.

Yelp
Went for brunch based on a friend's recommendation while we were in town, and Dellah did not disappoint. Between two adults and a toddler, we ordered 1 Lahm sighar, labnah & zaatar toast, and kid's breakfast combo. It was so much more than we could finish, but everything was spectacular. I wish I could order than lahm sighar from my area. There's nothing quite like it!

O K.

Yelp
Another stellar meal!!! And the staff is so kind and helpful suggesting delicious menu items and coffees.
google avatar

Shafiq A.

Yelp
Located in Dearborn Heights, this is a cozy cafe and brunch spot. The decor reflects Yemeni culture and the food the reflects that beautiful culture! The coffee the savory eggs, sautéed meat, and pancakes are all amazing. You do have to order at the front, but the service is good and prompt! If you want to come for brunch it is a very nice place to have with friends. It's also a great place to sit and do work! Worth checking out!!
google avatar

April L.

Yelp
Delicious food and massive portions! The shakshuka was huge and I am still eating the leftover bread. Pistachio pancakes are incredible! Ambiance is a little bit loud when it's packed.
google avatar

Eileen G.

Yelp
My first time here and was impressed all around. The inside space was much larger than expected, offering ample seating for parties of 1-12 or more, guessing 75+ capacity? You order first scanning menu code on the table or traditional in hand at counter. Then you get a number and your meal/ drinks are delivered to you. The young ladies behind the counter were very helpful answering my questions about my choice and the process of ordering to first bite was about 10 minutes. I tried a traditional Yemeni breakfast Fasolia with scrambled eggs added and it was delicious! You can choose your spice/ heat level but I tried mild to get a taste of spices in the dish. You get a side of spices (chopped like a salsa) you can add to make more to your taste. That had kick even for the taste test but not overpowering, adding a fresh peppery undertone. The dish came out in a cast iron bowl, steaming, bubbling and lava hot! I had to be careful for about 10 bites not to burn my tongue. You also get a lovely bread to dip and scoop up the sauce and beans, the edges were plump like a pizza crust for an amazing 'chew' while the inside was thin and wonderfully crisp. I also had a Pistachio Latte which was deliciously creamy and sweetened with a pistachio paste, which I noted on the bottom as I finished it. Next time I will ask for a spoon! I don't usually get sweetened lattes but this will be an indulgent treat in the future, as I will definitely be coming back! Decor is simple chic: wicker back bistro chairs and a cushioned booth back along one wall. Traditional murals and music were very nice, not loud but I'm sure when it's very busy that'll change. Only about 20-25 diners while I was here, many carry out customers as well. Large parking lot directly across the street. BPrices were $$ and very affordable for the portions you receive and the quality of food. So glad I stopped in today. I'm sure you will be too!

Varun S.

Yelp
Good prices. Clean establishment. Fast service. Cozy. Yummy good. I'll be back to try more.

Silvia Y.

Yelp
Food was amazing and prices are very reasonable for the portions. The best part is the freshly made bred. The salsa was so delish!!

Caitlin G.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed this place. I had never had Yemeni food or coffee before and I loved learning more about the culture. I really enjoyed my meal. I got the Lahm Sighar and wow, I truly enjoyed it. Our server, Rahaf was wonderful and so kind to my daughter. If you want a great coffee and a history lesson, this was a wonderful place. Truly will come back again.

Yelp
Great Yemeni food restaurant and café near Pelham St and Outer Dr W, and on the West side of Dearborn (close to Edsel Ford H.S.) I enjoyed my shakshuka- it was my first time to try the dish (eggs poached in a bubbling hot skillet sauce of tomatoes, onions, and green peppers). I thought that the bread aka kabooz that it came with was a little bit more burnt in spots than it should be, but I also don't have a frame of reference for that kind of bread (I was comparing it to Indian naan bread). The iced adeni chai was also quite good--but next time I get it, I will better understand that you're either "all in" on adding sugar to it or going with the no sugar added version. I wanted something with a little bit of a sugar kick but the version with sugar was more like a Starbucks drink level of fat and sugar! It was really good, though! It was really bustling and loud when I was there. So at busy times, it would not be a great environment for people with hearing aids. You order at the counter and pay at the counter, then wait for your food at a table. The owners and employees there seemed really committed and enthusiastic about the business, as well! Great addition to the neighborhood. (1 visit only so this is a limited review).
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
This brunch house is very popular with many tables filled up. Ordered the pistachio pancakes, a fig honey dish, and an adeni chai. The pistachio sauce was sweet and nutty and tasted delicious with the fluffy pancakes 10/10. The adeni chai was like a darker milk tea with some spices 10/10. The fig dish was a bit plain for my tastes 5/10. Overall would come again.

Yelp
Great atmosphere to be at to start your day ! Food is wonderful I sometimes travel from the eastside just to come here. Try their skillet its really good. My go to everytime 10/10 recommended

Yelp
Love love love Dellah! We were so sad to see Mighty Oak go so soon, so when we saw a new restaurant go into their old space we knew we had to see what they had to offer and make it a point to visit as much as possible if we liked it... and boy do we ever! I love the ordering/service here. It's similar to some fast casual places in that you order and get a number before you pick a table. Service speed is excellent and we only had a slight wait when they first opened (not sure they imagined how busy they were going to be in those first weeks). Today we went in to split a couple things for brunch and went with a sweet and savory combo by ordering the Southwest Skillet and the Berry Intense Pancakes. The skillet was hot and bursting with flavor from the crispy browned potatoes, the mild kick of the pickled jalapeno and the creamy chipotle sauce, and the perfect balance from the fresh ripe avocado... The pancakes were light and fluffy and topped with fresh berries, tangy and softly sweet berry and cream sauces, and a flourish of whipped cream... Not too sweet, just right... Staff were attentive and f-a-s-t! Our plates were brought out quickly from the kitchen and were nice and hot. We needed silverware and the server rushed back and even grabbed us extra plates when she realized we were sharing (we forgot to ask)... It's nice to know we can get a top notch brunch that is near home and never a painful wait (for now at least... they keep busy!)

Yelp
I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. The Shashuka, Ashta Pistachio pancakes, Yemini eggs, huge homemade bread, turkish coffee, flavored teas??? That's all that i've tried here and my list go on but how can i change my order when the ones i listed are sooo good??? The vibe, the cleanliness, the manager is a nice out going guy. I was so excited to show my boyfriend this place and we both agree this is top 3 brunch spots we've ever had in the united states. They're so delicious and flavorful; i'm sick of the basic brunch spots on every corner; this is a hidden gem that deserves all the business. Thanks so much and keep doing what you do! i'll be a Regular for life!

Rima C.

Yelp
I went to this brunch house, and wow -- I'm so glad I gave it a second chance! The service was a little weird (lol), definitely could be better on the customer service side, but the food totally made up for it. We got pancakes and eggs, and they were delicious! The prices were great too -- not too expensive like some of the other places we go to. We walked in and got seated right away, which was a huge plus for such a busy restaurant.

Leen N.

Yelp
I think this was hands down one of the worst breakfast/brunch place i ever went to. The place is extremely chaotic. The waitress was also very rude, but towards certain people she was fine which is weird. The food was too overpriced and when we ordered black tea we basically got hot water. I have no idea what the hell that was. We asked for another one and the waitress looked bothered. So disappointing. Not to mention we were seated next to a leak. The experience was extremely ghetto. I wish i could give not zero but NEGATIVE stars. Avoid at all costs

Yelp
So good! We ordered the special- chocolate pistachio pancakes and it was incredible. I want them to make it a staple item on the menu. We also ordered the yemeni scramble and it was very tasty. The kubhz bread was a very nice addition to breakfast. I also love their iced pumpkin spice latte! I visited twice in one week because I enjoyed the pancakes and latte so much.
google avatar

Munzer R.

Yelp
This has to be one of my favorite brunches in the metro Detroit area. The menu is a great blend of classic brunch staples, as well as unique Yemeni items. We ended up ordering a ton of options to share family style. We went with a mix of sweet and savory to hit both notes. The biscoff pancakes were delicious and also a huge portion, so perfect to share between a group of 4. The fava foowl was delicious, but definitely a bit spicier than I expected. I really enjoyed the fasolia and shakshuka as well. Along with the food, I also tried the Dellah signature latte and it was amazing. The one big callout I will make is that it was extremely busy when we went in the morning, with a line practically out the door. Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to wait and secure a table before lining up to order. Will definitely be back to try more!

Annette J.

Yelp
I met someone here for a meeting and had a wonderful meal and coworking session here as well. When I first arrived I was surprised by how spacious it was in there. We arrived firmly during lunch time on a weekday and while it was busy it was definitely not what you would call crowded. It's a fast casual spot so you go up to the counter to order, though you are able to take menus to your table to figure out what you'd like to eat/drink first. I ended up ordering the Labneh and Zaatar toast which, though simple, was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the Delah signature latte which was prepared with several delicious spices like cardamom and cinnamon. Seating was comfortable and wifi was easy to connect to and stable. My only complaint would be our ordering experience which started out a little rocky. My guest and I went up to order and the cashier began putting it in the system and then abruptly walked away without a word half way through. We waited several more minutes, looking around in confusion, before someone else came back over to help us. At by that time we just started placing the order over. He was very nice so it ended up fine but it was a little perplexing for a moment. My guess is that was just a one off experience, though, and did not dull Dellah's shine. I look forward to my next meal there!

Yelp
We went to Dellah Coffee & Brunch House with friends for a recharge from a busy week. The mix of Yemeni and western food options on the menu made it a great option for everyone. When we came in a little past 10 AM, the place was already pretty busy, with about 3/4 of the tables full. At this point, they were still giving out menus and allowing you to sit down before going to the counter to order. By the time we left at around noon, the restaurant was completely full with a line out the door! Why did it take us two hours to leave? Because it took over 45 minutes before we got our food. The drinks came out pretty quickly, within 5 minutes or so, but for some reason our food in particular took forever. In fact, some of our friends actually got their food and finished eating before we ever saw a whiff of our items. I can't imagine how long they make you wait when the restaurant is at full capacity... Cardamom Rose Latte ($6.50) - I don't really drink coffee much so I won't comment too much on this. To me, it had the bitterness of a strong coffee and that was all I could taste. No cardamom, no rose. To be honest, I'm not sure they handed us the correct cup. The other people in my group got the Biscoff latte and the lavender latte and they could definitely taste the correct flavors. Fasolia, Mild ($14) - The fasolia spicy level can be adjusted. We went with mild this time and after trying it, we kind of regretted not getting a higher heat level. There isn't any semblance of spiciness in this dish with the mild, which is something that we thought would complement the other flavors well. Luckily, there was a small container of sahawik on the side that added a layer of fresh tomato flavor and a bit of raw spiciness that helped things. The fasolia consists of very tender white beans cooked in a tomato and herb base. Taste-wise it's very similar to a nice shakshuka, with a mellow tomato flavor that really comes out mixed with a warming spice mix filled with cumin, cardamom, pepper, etc. The fasolia is served with three pieces of khubz which had a pretty interesting texture. Instead of a more gluten developed dough, this is was more buttery and kind of flaky. You could easily separate the bread into at least three or four tender layers. Fatteh With Dates, Small ($7) - I'm not sure why they call this a fatteh because arika/areeka would be a perfectly appropriate name for this sweet breakfast dish. This consisted of darkened khubz, shredded and then possibly food processed a bit to get it a bit finer, then mixed with chopped sweet dates and topped with ashta and black nigella seeds. They give a small container of honey to drizzle on top as you please. The ashta adds a nice milkiness and the sesame an earthiness. They give quite a bit of khubz in the bowl and not enough toppings, making the dish overall a bit dry. I guess the closest western equivalent would be a type of dryer bread pudding. Ashta & Pistachio Pancakes, Half Order ($15) - The menu doesn't state it, but you can get a half order for a couple of dollars less and get two pancakes instead of three. These are super fluffy pancakes - so fluffy and pliable that it was actually hard to cut and fork them. They are drizzled with a pistachio syrup and ashta, giving a creaminess and a good pistachio flavor. The sweetness level is pretty much on the dot. They serve a small cup of pancake syrup on the side that isn't needed at all. The dish is garnished with dried rose petals and crushed pistachios. This lends a rose aroma and reinforces the pistachio flavor. Finally, there's a dollop of whipped cream that's always appreciated. For the people who like aesthetic dishes, this is what you want to get. Bathrooms: Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Overall the food here is pretty good. It's an excellent place to visit if you want some Yemeni food but have some people in your party who want more American style breakfast items. Just be sure to come here early to avoid the lunch rush and have a little patience as they take a long time to make the food.

Yelp
We took my daughter to a breakfast date and after we walked in and we sat down she looked around and said wow mom this is such a fancy place and she's right the atmosphere is great it really makes you feel like you are in a very nice upscale brunch house. You are greeted and given an area to sit and then you are giving money using waters and when you are ready to order you what you order at the counter. You are given a number to place on your table and then your food is brought to you when it's ready not all at 1 time. My table ordered the shakshuka along with the Yemeni eggs and a child's fun Fetty pancakes We also ordered a order of the Ashta pancakes to share. Now we eat plenty of brunch out so we've had pancakes from plenty of restaurants and these were the best pancakes I've ever had in my life including the ones that I make for my family. the pancakes themselves were light fluffy and flavourful with a texture fluffy kind of like cake. the sauce is that they put on top were amazing compliment to the pancakes themselves we did not need syrup with the pancakes everything tasted amazing. My daughter loved her pancakes and gobbled up her eggs and hash Browns. The shakshuka eggs were so delicious they were definitely high quality eggs because the yolks were so rich that I felt so full after only eating 2 eggs. the bread that they serve with my husband's Yemeni style scrambled eggs was delicious but my goodness the sauce that came with it was so spicy and so cumin forward it was delicious and reminded me of my grandfather. This was definitely a more expensive brunch than what we would pay with our check totaling to just under $70 without a tip. Does also include 2 americano coffees so I suppose it might even out of The coffee was delicious but I think the cashier misunderstood my order and instead of having French press coffee we were served the americano. I will definitely be back to try another version of their pancakes as well as try some of the different coffee offerings they have. This place was incredibly busy while we were there. And I hope they keep it up.

Yelp
Food good and flavorful...they have only been open 4days; I'd say give them a chance to catch their groove. You order your food at counter and find seating. They have children serving. You have to ask for silverware and water. We ordered avocado toast which wasn't bad, it was topped with and sunny side up egg, comes with and you can choose fruit or a little salads as a side; greek skillet had a nice flavor; waffle was good also. Drinks: cocoa which tasted like it was from an instant pack; mint lemonade I've had better in downtown Dearborn. I may be back In the future.
