"On December 11, 2017 Dellz on the Macon opened in North Charleston. After 10 years of nourishing downtown Charleston with Jazzy Pizzas, Picky Nikki Nachos, and fresh fruit smoothies, Maudell Grayson and her daughter Smarel Nicole are excited to bring delicious, healthy food options to another part of town. The menu at Dellz on the Macon is very (entirely) vegan-friendly. Smarel Nicole wants people to know “Soul food began with healthy eating. Good food is good food.” Thanks in part to a partnership with local non-profit organization Metanoia, menu items are on a “pay what you’re able” pricing scale. This means, for example, a guest can choose to purchase a salad for $4, $5, or $6, and the portion size will be the same. Located at 2021 Reynolds Ave., Dell’z on the Macon is a vibrant, comfortable place to work, play, meet, and make new friends. Large sidewalk-facing windows let lots of natural light bounce through the space’s colorful decor. Seating includes a community table in the middle of the room, high-top window seats, short, round cafe tables, and a cushioned bench. A floral mural accent wall proclaims the words “Niam N Goura” or “Eat to Live” in celebration of culture, wellness and vitality for everyone who enters." - Victoria Rae Moore

I enjoyed the location, decor, the music, the friendly service and especially that the totally vegan menu was without any soy products. Meat substitutes are add-ons that cost extra but that is fine with me. The flavors and textures are wonderful! This place was recommended to me after visiting Dellz Uptown for the last few years. I love them both and I love them even more because they do have different menus while maintaining their unique soulful flavor!

I would have taken a picture of my food if I hadn't devoured it so quickly My Vitality Bowl was definitely delicious The Zen smoothie and vegan chocolate chip cookie were fantastic. Thank you for your great service and great food.

I am about as non-vegan as they come, and to be honest, my general perception of vegan food is not great. But let me tell you, those were some of the best dang nachos I have ever had...vegan or not.

**CALL AHEAD very long wait times for walk-ins!** First off let me start by saying how much i appreciate small restaurant owners opening their shops with the awareness of local food deserts and offering variable prices for each menu option. That's pretty great to see! Having a focus on great tasting fresh veggie/vegan food is harder to find in the south. However due to their extremely tiny kitchen and 2 person staff i ended up waiting over an hour just for a plate of nachos... it seems the locals figured that out and they get tons of phone in orders. The food was great when i finally got it and the lady was nice enough to offer me a hookup the next time i come in but as I'm travelling for work i wont be in the area much longer. I would have appreciated a wait time warning before ordering as i was very hungry and would have opted to try another place instead. I'm in the food service industry i get it these things happen.. but let someone know next time if its gonna be over an hour for a plate of nachos..

AMAZING FOOD, Customer Service and atmosphere!! I tried the "lucky bowl" and it was packed with so much flavor and left me feeling completely full but I can't wait to go back and try some of the smoothies and other food options. You don't have to be vegan to appreciate fresh ingredients and great tasting food. They also added fish options for those that may want more protein.
