Delmonico's Steakhouse

We wanted to try a new steakhouse and found this spot on the way back from an event. We had made reservations earlier in the day and were seated promptly. The waiter was very nice and the dining room was clean and classy. I started with the lobster bisque which was very good. We continued with the Delmonico ribeye which was cooked properly to my liking and tasted very good. Sides were excellent and large as well. My wife and I tried the mushrooms, the lobster risotto, and the brussel sprouts. All were very good and rich. For dessert we split the big chocolate cake which like it's name was very big. Definitely enough for 2 maybe even 3 people to have plenty. The waiters always kept our drinks full and were attentive. I would definitely recommend that you give it a try if you enjoy steak and finer dining. Our waiter Abigail definitely deserves a shout out for making our date night special!

My fiancé and I visited last night for our anniversary. We were met with warm welcome from each and every member of staff. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the specials and answered any questions we had about the menu. I believe her name was Carly. My water cup was always full. The food was delicious, drinks outstanding and dessert even better. They even gave us a free dessert since it was a special occasion. They weren’t too busy or loud. The atmosphere was very intimate and inviting. Will 100% return.

We loved just about everything here. The food, service, ambiance. The husband said his ribeye steak was the best he’s ever had. My scallops and the lobster bisque were perfection. Rivaling even Pier W and Marble Room. The food came rather quickly and we were done in an hour. And we ate slowly to savor every bite. The cheesecake for our anniversary hit the spot. So light and flavorful! So my only feedback was that we felt a little rushed.

10/10 the perfect date night experience. My husband and I wanted a nice holiday dinner and we had the absolute best experience. We had Mel as a server and explained the multiple allergies my husband has and were taken care of with extra precautions all night. Our food was delicious, service was timely and personable, and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. Cannot recommend enough!

This restaurant is a solid choice for a business lunch on the company dime, especially if you're not personally footing the bill. The restaurant was nicely decorated, and the food was served quickly, and the presentation was appealing. But that's about it, where all the positive feedback is ending. The food is acceptable, though not particularly memorable. However, the unwelcoming and rude service from our waitress significantly detracted from the experience, making it a place I wouldn't recommend for a personal visit or for families with children. I don't leave such reviews often, but this place really upset me.

Recently hosted 2 dinner seminars in their private room. Michael Michelle & Abby took care of us. They were awesome. Service was wonderful. My colleague likes coke zero and they have diet. Michael brought in a coke zero the following day. The rarity it is to make someone feel heard/special these days. Michael is the true definition of hospitality! That is world class service. Delmonicos better hang on to him!

Went here for my brother in laws birthday. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet, reserved, and private. The steaks were good, but they all come with a sauce... It seems they limit the seasoning on the steak itself and cater more towards the sauce with the steak to provide the flavor. For myself and my husband, this wasn't exactly what we look for in a steak. We would rather have it seasoned well without any sauce. All of our group had their steaks delivered hot and cooked properly to their preference.

went there last year for New Year's Eve. The food was awesome and service. hoping that they will be open for Christmas Eve. I'm checking into this now.o

Had reservations for our Anniversary dinner tonight, service was great the waiter was attentive and helpful with selections, the steak was tender and delicious. The ambience is always great at this location. Always a favorite spot.

The good: lovely ambiance and staff attitude. Classic menu and good location. The bad: service time, order accuracy and food preparation. Overall too much money for just good food. The flavors were underwhelming. The preparation was borderline. Our well done steak was raw in the middle and medium steaks could have been more tender. We were compensated for the shortcoming. We waited 20 minutes to have our order Taken but it came out in reasonable Timing. That's all.

Dined here last week for my birthday and they did a good job making me feel special! Our server, Erin, was excellent. She was really sweet and easy to chat with and offered to take our picture as a celebratory memento. I ordered the Chilean sea bass and it was well prepared. I realized later that they had forgotten the asparagus that was supposed to accompany it and they brought us an extra birthday dessert as an apology! Great service and tasty food...the mocktails especially blew us away. They were so unique and delicious! The restaurant is pricey, but you get what you pay for. We will be back for sure. We went over Valentine's Day weekend, and service and ambience was great, but I thought the food was just okay. The slightly bigger steaks allows you to choose a sauce and add extra for a "style", but I don't think the addition of the style is worth it. The Oscar style only came with a few pieces (3) of asparagus and crab meat for $16. If I would have known of the sizing, I would have gotten a side instead. Definitely make a reservation before coming, to guarantee a spot!

I'm giving this a 5 star because the lobster bisque is the best in Ohio. When I asked they said it is gluten free and I have been eating that everytime I go. If you're going there for a steak and prefer it cooked medium, don't even try it, it will be purple on the inside (every time). They changed the happy hour and made it more pricey which doesn't make me want to go as much. Service is good.

Visited this week for a business dinner. There were a lot of us in a back room, so your results may vary from mine. Overall, I really enjoyed the evening, the location and the staff. The place outside looked like a strip mall but inside looked like a real deal steakhouse. From the bar back, things looked refined & relaxed. Enjoyed the stay. Since we were a large-ish group, I was there a while and was never uncomfortable. The staff were efficient, good, and light-humored in a grumpy way. It wasn't like they were seriously angry, just as if being put off was part of the schtick. Light-heartedly put off would be the summary. As if everything was a bother and an inconvenience, but maybe not really. After a couple drinks, didn't even notice any more. I started with a Negroni and wanted to hug the bartender. I don't often go with them, I usually like something fruity. But in a steak restaurant with a lot of business friends, I had to act macho and didn't regret it. Negroni's often are made poorly and like scallops, when not done well --- Oof! These were prefect. For an appetizer, salad I decided to go with the lobster bisque. I thought it was a great choice. It was very tasty, a lot of it and a TON of actual protein in it. Lots of nice, delicate chunks of real lobster meat. Well done there. Since I was in a seafood mood in a steak restaurant, I went with the Surf & Turf. I'm a rube, so I ordered the steak portion in medium. For a steak restaurant I was sorely surprised with the meat. I would just give it an OK. I was looking for outstanding, but that just didn't do it. A bit overcooked (even for a medium!) and I almost had the aftertaste of a piece of liver. Not as tasty as I would have wanted. On reflection, I should have gotten some sort of saucy side to cover it. I hate to recommend adding it (I was taught BBQ sauce hides poor brisket), but it is what it is. However, the lobster was really good. It wasn't a large thing. An over sized prawn. But it was tasty and filleted out for you so it was even easier to eat. The asparagus and mashed potatoes with it were par for the course. As a business meal - recommended and would do it again. On my own dime with a date, I would have been far more brutal in the review.

I have spent much more at other steak houses. Delmonico's is far ahead of most in the city. The food is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable. I also have no complaints with the servers. They are all quick and pleasant. The atmosphere is very lovely and welcoming.

The service was outstanding. Mike, our waiter went out of his way to make our experience top notch. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the lobster bisque. We definitely will eat here again when we are in the area.

Steak was very good and the staff was exceptional! It's a very cozy spot with incredible food! From the salad to the steak it was great.

Had a great dinner experience here at Delmonico's tonight. Despite it being quite a busy Monday night, we made a reservation and was seated right away when arrived. The restaurant was well decorated and would be a perfect location for a romantic date. We tried the lobster bisque and Delmonico's meatballs for the appetizer. Both were delicious and seasoned well. On top of the taste profile, I really loved the presentation of lobster bisque as it was very pleasing to the eyes. We tried the USDA Prime ribeye (black and blue style with truffle butter on the side) , Filet mignon(Au poivre style) and Lobster tail. The meat was cooked perfectly as ordered. I was very impressed with the meat quality, though found that the blue cheese taste was quite overpowering for my likings (but it would definitely be perfect for those who love blue cheese since they are very generous with the amount layered on top of your steak choices) truffle butter and brandy sauce were perfect. Lobster tasted fresh and was season well. Did not have a chance to try their dessert as we were too full after the meal. Will have to check it out on the next visit.

Just got take out from this location. Bought two bowls of lobster bisque for $12 each. The amount of soup that was given to us is absolutely obscene and Delmonico's should be embarrassed.

We've wanted to try this place for years, but live on the East side, so haven't made it here until now. It did not disappoint! Our waitress was amazing and we loved that she was honest w her feedback about the menu. I started w the Delmonico salad and it was the best combo of dressing and Parmesan cheese that was sprinkled in. I ordered the 8 oz filet with black and blue cheese topping. She was upfront that it could be salty, and it def was but that's how I like it. Husband ordered the Delmonico ribeye with extra onions and he said it melted in his mouth. We can't wait to make it out that way to go again!

Sweetie day booking for my sweetie I heard such good reviews about this steakhouse and wanted to treat my boyfriend. But we where disappointed. We ordered steak and salmon Steak: 2 out of 5 very fatty Salmon: 3.5 out of 5 unevenly cooked Service was friendly but agitated by any extra questions he seemed like he was in a rush but it was practically empty. Ambiance 4 out of 5 very clean and typical steak house but they sat us a at a very small both very intamite for sure but my boyfriend is 250 lbs not the most comfortable.

Was at the Independance restaurant for a meeting of a group of people. I'm going to make this quick and to the point...everything about my experience was poor! The service, quality of food, meals that had been put under the 'warming lights' too long...the list goes on. I called and spoke to manager and explained my situation and that my husband and I had spent $200, he said he'd bubble it up to corporate. Well, one week later, still have not heard from anyone!!! Very disappointed in the entire experience! Don't bother wasting your time or your money. Not worth it. Go somewhere else if you want to have a great steak AND great experience!

I had a chance to go to this restaurant recently and 5 stars wasn't enough. The food came out and it was wonderful. The calamari came out and it was a little under done for my taste, the manager came out with a fresh crispy batch and it was amazing. Our server was sensational I had the Chicken Marsala and it was PERFECT! Also had the lobster tail with melted butter, I did add some salt and pepper to both the butter for the bread and the butter, but I guess that personal preference because they were both pretty bland, but other than that, drinks were great, food was great, the outside seating was really nice, when the sun goes down they have this lavender/purple like that creates a really nice ambiance outside. Highly recommended and would go again, but make sure that your pockets are heavy, when the tab comes it's not for the weak lol

Perfect service and food, Tracy was spot on. We had a meeting today, awesome service, She was always there when we needed her and left us when we needed privacy. The lobster bisque was truly liquid gold. The fish special included shrimp and mussels and was mouth watering. Fresh warm bread with whipped butter, ... yummm...It has been a few months since I had lunch here and I cannot wait for the next opportunity. Of course the wine made the time memorable.

Myself and two co-workers enjoyed dinner at Delmonico's in Independence to celebrate some recent workplace victories. I ordered the 10oz filet with garlic mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and had the right amount of seasonings. The potatoes were good as well but it's hard to mess up mashed potatoes. Both of my co-workers got appetizers (wedge salad and crab bisque soup) and they both enjoyed them. We all had a few mixed drinks from the bar, and they were all good as well. Our waitress was great, one of my co-workers gave her a hard time (playfully) and she gave it right back to him, it was hilarious. Great experience and great food. Definitely pricey but that was expected and you get what you pay for.

This place was ok. I got the steak filet it didn't have much flavor but it was cooked well. Sides were good as well. I would put this as a better option then Texas Roadhouse. Might be over priced because of being around hotels.

We went to Delmonico's for a Holiday/Birthday dinner. Everything was 1st Class, 6 dinner and everybody had a great meal. Jennifer did an excellent job of making sure everything was spot on. Thanks to Delmonico's!!!

The food and service were great! I had the steak Christopher and it was awesome. My colleague had the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. The ambiance was great for a business meeting. The service was great. The staff were all quite friendly.

They have a great steak salad that I had at a lunch. Loved it so much came back for a dinner. It is not on the menu for dinner but the staff accommodated me and made me one. But the topper of it all is their manager Sam Scavetta who not only accommodated my salad request but introduced me to Crème Brûlée with a port wine. It was amazing. Thank you Sam! Now the only bummer is I have to go back to Chicago and "jones" Delmonico's until I can have a business trip here again! Thanks!

Our server Jennifer R was very nice and knowledgeable t the menu ... I ended up getting the Oscar Filet let me tell you my steak was done to perfection medium rare it was so tender the potatoes reminded me of my grandma!! Cooked with a crisp well seasoned and the asparagus was asparging lol everything was delicious!!! My friend said their meal was 20 outta 10!! The only complaint was the lemonade it tasted like left over water I've become a drink connoisseur since I do not really drink alcohol.... The lemonade made me sad until I bite into my steak lol that steak made me forget all my problems temporarily soooooooo good!!! I did have the shrimp cocktail it was fresh and the lemon and horseradish made it perfect!! The lobster bisque was not to hot not too cool I swear I could order that soup everyday for the rest of my life and I'd be good!!! lol Oh I forgot I made my reservations around 815 pm that same Friday evening got there around 830 I didn't feel rushed matter fact they were welcoming... we left around 1030 so I don't what time they closed ppl were still eating and the bar was open....

This place was recommended to us by a friend. The ambiance of the restaurant was good, but a little too dark on the inside. Wait staff was wonderful. Our waiter, Ethan, was attentive. The woman that brought us water was kind, respectful, and prompt. (Wish we remembered her name, but she said she was new there). I appreciate the restaurant splitting some of the dishes I shared with my partner. The salad was refreshing. I loved the taste of the lobster bisque but was disappointed by how little lobster was in the soup. The calamari was not crispy and not that hot when it arrived. The eggplant parmesan did not feel fresh and felt like it was microwaved with cheese on top. We opted out of getting dinner at that point.

Really enjoyed my meal. I had the 10oz fillet cooked to perfection. Mac and cheese which was ordered by another ended up tasting really good. Service was excellent. I was with coworkers and not picking up the check so not able to experience the menu as I would had I paid. I would definitely come back for another meal.

Well quite disappointing. Been here four times and have yet to have bread delivered to me while those around me are getting theirs Hmmm. My wife ordered the veal parm which arrived burnt on both sides. Very disappointing. I had the Delmonico which was very tasty however very fatty and grisly. Spent $130 and probably won't be back.

Food was so fresh and tasted so yummy! Service was fast and the vibe was so calming. Thank you so much for making our one year wedding anniversary special.

The luncheon trio was perfection. Very best Italian wedding soup I've ever had, beautiful chicken marsala and wedge salad. Great service (thank you, Tracey :)

I don't normally feel out of place eating out at a restaurant. This one was the exception. Not because of how I was dressed but because of the quality of food. The picture I included does not do it, Justice. Simple and amazing. the flavor, the texture just wow. The downside is the cost. let's just say that a second mortgage on your house might be needed. You can easily drop $125 for just one person. That doesn't include wine. As a foodie, It's worth it. It's definitely a place where wine and food and better things are all wrapped together.

Dinner for a family group of 7 and everyone's meal was excellent. Highlights included perfectly done steaks with Bernaisse sauce, smoked fingerling potatoes, and chicken Marsala - and leftovers to take home. Nice, relaxed service for a family gathering. It was loud in the restaurant especially when we first arrive - not surprising on a weekend before Christmas but it got quieter later.

Was in town on a business trip and decided to eat here as it was close to the hotel. I sat in the bar area and the service was very good. Nancy was running the bar and the booths in the bar area and did fantastic and was always there when I needed more wine or bread etc. the food was very good and flavorful. I had a Cesar salad to Start then the 14 oz NY strip cooked medium. My only complaint is the steak was a tad chewy on the inside but the flavor and sear won the show. Mashed potatoes were average. Definitely would recommend this place if you are in the area. They have a great wine selection as well.

My Sister took me to Delmonico's for my birthday recently. The ambiance was great and the food was excellent! I had the Delmonico Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection even though I like my steaks on the well done side, it was not dry or overcooked and promptly served. My server Marcus was amazing! He was so attentive to our needs and regularly checked in and provided prompt, personable service. Good service is sometimes hard to find these days so we were so pleased with Marcus's serving skills. I will sit in his section again when I come back. The manger checked in with us as well which I thought was a great addition. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great happy hour! So many options and the little Christy is the perfect size for dinner and there are several other options for appetizers. I can personally vouch for the mussels and shrimp cocktail. The service extended by the bartenders is great. The ambiance is your traditional steakhouse, so nothing special there. Enjoy!

Took my mom here for a steak dinner for her birthday and she was so excited.our waiter was so kind and patient. I loved the atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. The fried calamari and sauce was just so good. I got the Gulf of Maine Salmon and it was so good. Husband says the steak was worth the price. For sure. We will definitely be back again.

Visited Delmonico's for takeout on 5/20/24. I ordered 3 meals @ approximately 2:26pm for dinner for a family members birthday. We had visited this establishment some years ago and they were so pleased with the meal, they wanted to order again. Mind you, at that visit we dined in. I was a little deterred as to the amount of times the wait staff approached us to inquire about our satisfaction of the meals. Every time we took a bite, or tried to have a conversation, they would appear again. I decided to just request a doggie bag to take out left over meal home. I decided then that I did not want to return at any point in the future. But my family member wanted to try again for their birthday this year. I ordered (1) app and (2) sides to share in addition to the meals. My total bill amounted to $160.00 including tip. When approaching the bar for take out I announced that I was picking up and stated my name. The bar keep stated that the meal was ready and that we were only waiting for bread and butter. The wait was not more than 5 minutes and she (bar keep) brought in the bags before collecting my bill and payment and proceeded to cash me out. The total time it took for the meals to be ready was only 25 minutes from ordering, which was excellent. But when returning home and opening the purchase, the bag of bread and butter included (6) hardened/stale slices of bread and a small cup of butter. I know that italian bread is a hearty bread, but in no instance should it be as hard as croutons. Maybe, just maybe she needed to see her customers before deciding what bread she should include in the order. The rest of the food passed, but this point of the bread was so disappointing, I was afraid at what would have been hidden inside the rest of the meal. We know that PRIME sirloin is not a desirable steak, but at the price I rested with it. The Delmonico Ribeye worked at medium. I sincerely believe we just were not welcome as a people of color. Otherwise why would you serve me bread such as you did. My money is no good at Delmonico's. Thank you for showing me that I will never, ever elect to spend my hard earned monies in this establishment again. Passing the word to family and friends. Two bad experiences says that I do not need a third, at these prices.

Amazing service, food & atmosphere. Best crab legs we've had in a long time!!! The house salad does not disappoint what so ever.

We had a great birthday dinner here. Great martinis, steaks, fish, and desserts. Every staff member was awesome. Great atmosphere and loved the music. It was a great spot to celebrate a special occasion. We ate inside, but the outdoor dining area looked very inviting.

We recently visited Delmonico's for my 33rd birthday. My husband had been there previously with his dad but I had never been. It's a nice place, felt cozy and perfect evening lighting. My husband basically had an order planned before we sat down. We met Ethan first, he was a serving assistant who promptly got us set up with waters. Then we met Antoine, our server. He was very friendly and nice. My husband loved their gin selection, they had his favorite which he doesn't see in restaurants very often. We got 2 dirty martinis which were great. Bread came quickly and was nice and warm. My husband got the lobster bisque which was the best thing we tried. It was so good, I should have ordered my own. We split the chilled seafood tower, it was good, oysters were tiny but that is a seasonal thing, we know better but seafood is my favorite and it was my bday! Anyways, we also got the Delmonico steak Oscar style, it was okay, my husband enjoyed it, but I don't think it's what I would order next time. Next time I WILL be getting my own bowl of lobster bisque. When we were ending the meal Antoine asked if there was anything else, my husband had to ask for a dessert menu which made me feel bad like maybe he wanted us to go and not stay for dessert so I mentioned forgetting it but my husband said crème brulee was my favorite so I deserved it on my bday and ordered it, it was pretty good. Overall it was a nice dinner, nice place, good service. It's not the whole celebratory vibe but it's a solid dinner w/ good bisque!!

We had a reservation at this restaurant and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. They're identity is as a fancy steakhouse but I would give the steaks a 4/5 based on flavor. They're just not quite on par with the level of other nice steakhouses in the area. I did get the chicken Marsala this time and it was the best thing I've had on their menu so far.

Came for lunch and had wonderful food and service! Will be back ! Filet was perfectly cooked. Service was fast for lunch but we didn't feel rushed.

In the new, post-pandemic dining world where restaurants tell you your reservation is for x minutes only, Delmonico stands head and shoulders above the rest. They let us take our time with cocktails first, then appetizers, before even asking what we wanted for dinner. What a breath of fresh air! The food was great, and we're planning to return for happy hour at the bar or patio.

To start off their location is great! Near all of the nice hotels and their valet guys are great once you get there :) They have nice outdoor, bar, and restraunt seating. The food was absolutely phenomenal and service was top notch. Very relaxing classy place. One of my gfs got put on glutton free by her Dr. Her and I split a slice of glutton free chocolate cake and it was out of this world! Very fudge like and perfect. I highly recommend their baked potatoes too Mmmm! I'm drooling writing this review! Will be back as much as possible!
