The Best Pizza Places In New Jersey - New York - The Infatuation

"On the bridge connecting Trenton and Pennsylvania, a neon sign states, “Trenton Makes The World Takes.” It refers to all the manufacturing goods Trenton exported in the early 1900s, but as soon as the world wises up, it’ll refer to its style of pizza. Trenton tomato pies are a regional specialty, characterized by a relatively small amount of mozzarella melted onto thin, crunchy crust, leaving the spotlight for the crushed tomatoes on top. No place does the style justice like De Lorenzo’s in Robbinsville. Order the pies well done, and every bite sheds flakes of crispy crust without tasting dry or burnt. While the toppings - like tender chunks of sausage, not-too-salty anchovies, or half dollar-sized pepperoni - are all enjoyable, they play bit parts compared to the layer of hand-crushed tomatoes, which add enough acidity to make you forget you’re currently working on your second tray of bread and cheese." - matt tervooren

Zero flop. Great undercarriage. Thin crust. Awesome crisp and crunch! Freshest tomatoes and mozzarella. Best pizza in Bucks County! 9.3 on the one bite scale. And even when there’s a line outside, it moves pretty fast.

I was visiting my brother in Yardley and we came here for lunch. We had the clams on a white pie, the cheese pizza and a pizza with mushrooms and peppers. The place is large and clean. The servers were pleasant and the pizza was delicious! Served hot, the pizza has a crisp, thin crust, the sauce is very good and the toppings delicious! I look forward to a return visit to have try more pizza with different toppings and their salads.

Was very busy on a Saturday around 6pm. They seemed to do a great job handling the crowd. Lots of people waiting for tables for large groups. But I came with wife and we were seated in bout 15 minutes (after given 25 minute estimate). Ordered 2 large pies with the intent to take some home (& did). Caesar salad was good and probably enough to feed 3 or 4 people as a meal started. Got plain and a sausage with artichoke pie. Asked to cook on the lighter side as to not be too well done. Was delicious. Server, Anthony did a great job and all staff was helpful with clearing tables, etc. I overheard someone complaining about restrooms. I did not use personally, so I will not change my rating because of (just mentioning incase helpful).

De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies in Yardley is hands down some of the greatest pizza I’ve ever had — easily in my top three of all time. Believe the hype. Dylan De Lorenzo is the real deal. The sauce is bright and perfectly balanced, the crust has that ideal crunch, and the whole experience — the vibe — is something special. You can taste the tradition in every bite. As I always say: “If you have to ask, you’ll never taste.”

Came here last week while visiting family in the area from North Carolina. The Robbinsville location is Much Better! Our server Hunter was not friendly, he mumble while talking to us, he was rude when he had just placed the check down when our pizza first arrived out, and barely checked on us and the venue was not even busy. He was standing back where the people were making pizzas and chatting with the servers most of the time. Very disappointed, and pizza just didn't seem as a good as the Robbinsville location. We won't be back at this location or recommend it to anyone.

DeLorenzo’s in Yardley isn’t just a pizza place — it’s a place that feels like home. I’m lucky enough to be related to Matt Longo, but it doesn’t take being family to feel like family when you walk into this place. I’m in absolute awe of what he and his entire family have built here. The space itself is gorgeous. It’s truly one of the most beautiful pizza spots you’ll ever walk into and on some nights, they even have live music. It’s always BYOB, which makes it perfect for a relaxed night out with friends or family or the perfect setting for a shower, birthday or special occasion. The food is hands-down the BEST tomato pie in the world. When my brother and his family fly in from California, the first thing we plan is: “When are we going to DeLorenzo’s?” My in-laws are even hooked, and when we get ourselves there, I always bring pies home for everyone. Their pepperoni is perfection — the kind that curls up into little cups filled with delicious pepperoni juice. Their salads are just as incredible. I’m a sucker for their seasonal burrata salad, which they change up with fresh, seasonal fruit, and the chopped salad is over the top. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and made with love. We’ve celebrated so many family milestones here over the years, and even though we now live in South Jersey, it’s worth the drive every single time. My parents live near us now too, and they still make a point to go weekly because we all love it that much. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit, you’ll walk through the doors and instantly feel like family — even if you aren’t. DeLorenzo’s is special. It’s the kind of place you dream about between visits, and the kind of pizza that leaves you feeling great afterward. Absolute must-visit!! 🍕❤️

We were not impressed with the pizza at all. We ordered a cheese pie, which looked amazing but had zero flavor. I asked for Parmesan cheese and garlic powder, and the server stated that they do not offer it because the pizza already has its own flavor. Well, it did not, so we will not be returning.
