The Best Airport Lounges in the US Have Speakeasies, Fireplaces, and Cheesemongers | Condé Nast Traveler

"Opened October 28, the newest Centurion outpost in Salt Lake City out-sizes the JFK flagship by nearly 3,000 square feet and adds an outdoor terrace, a fireplace, three bars (including one dedicated to coffee), and a buffet." - Brittany Chang

Salt Lake City Has 2 New Airport Lounges for Winter Travelers

"Inside Concourse B’s new Delta Sky Club I found a supersized, ski-lodge–inspired space that opened to travelers on October 28 as the airline’s second lounge at SLC; between the two Delta lounges the airport will now offer about 1,200 seats, and this location is the second-largest in Delta’s system at 34,000 square feet. Riding up the escalator, a large central fireplace greets guests, and most seating—done in neutral and jewel tones—faces enormous floor-to-ceiling windows framing the tarmac; artwork from local artists, warm wood tones, copper accents, unique lighting, and terrazzo mosaic flooring are all meant to mirror Utah’s mountains, lakes, and caverns. Highlights include a panoramic 4-D digital immersion wall showcasing Utah landmarks (some paired with the sounds of falling rain), nine sound‑proof telephone booths, a wrap‑around bar serving craft cocktails and mocktails, and a make‑your‑own dirty soda bar with suggested recipes celebrating the local nonalcoholic soda tradition. Foodservice features beverage stations for tea and coffee plus an expansive buffet—on opening day it ranged from bagels, yogurt, and pomegranate‑studded chia seed pudding for breakfast to salads, sandwiches, and soups later in the day, with desserts like chocolate croissants, double‑chocolate brownies, and maple pumpkin cheesecake parfaits—and the menu changes seasonally with the vast majority of items made in‑house in newly built kitchens." - Emily Hochberg

The Delta sky club lounge had the nicest bathrooms in the airport. If you’re looking for a place to hang out comfortably, this is the place. I felt the food was OK for what you’re paying to be there. I wish they had an option to get food cooked on a grill like a burger. Overall cool experience, but you definitely have to weigh if it’s worth the hoops you have to jump through to get status to go inside. It’s really big so it can accommodate a lot of guests without it feeling crowded.

When we arrived it was somewhat busy. This is my first time ever at a place like this. My first impression was, this place is full of privilege people, and not for their privileges that they may have, but for their privilege attitude. About the food. It is actually good. I was surprised. The drinks 🍸 are good, and the service is better. After a while you get used to it and it is enjoyable.

The Delta Sky Club was a lifesaver for us when we had a long wait for our flight, with five texts telling us as we waited that the flight was delayed, and then delayed again and again and again. The lounge was very comfortable, quiet, with wifi hookup, surprisingly good food, lots of light, and very helpful and courteous wait staff. The Delta employee who checked us into the club came up to ask how we were doing and to talk quite a while, and couldn't have been friendlier. All of this made the wait for the constantly delayed flight much more pleasant than it would have been otherwise.

The lounge in terminal A: Among the most spacious lounges I've been in. Escalators are required to go up to the service area. Several bars, multiple sitting areas. Liz at the bar was attentive and thoughtful. Had a glass of brut bubbles and a bowl of chili. Bright. Airy. And around gate A27, mid way between the Delta gates.

The Centurion Lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport stands as the premier experience among American Express lounges I have encountered across all U.S. states. Having utilized Centurion Lounges nationwide, I can confidently state that this location delivers an exceptional level of quality and refinement that surpasses many established counterparts. The lounge is exceptionally well-equipped, featuring thoughtful design elements inspired by Utah’s natural landscape. Highlights include a cozy hearth room with a 360-degree fireplace, a year-round outdoor terrace offering stunning views of the Wasatch Mountains, and a dedicated Blue Roast coffee bar serving barista-prepared espresso drinks, cold brew, and seasonal specialties. Additional amenities, such as a wellness recovery area with plush loungers, compression boots, and massage tools, along with spacious seating options—including quiet workspaces and reservable meeting rooms—contribute to a serene and productive environment. The food offerings are outstanding, curated by The Culinary Collective featuring James Beard Award-winning chefs. The buffet presents a rotating selection of high-quality, seasonal dishes that blend global influences with fresh, healthy options—such as Caribbean wedding soup, farro pilaf, grilled cabbage with tehina and harissa, and desserts including Earl Grey panna cotta. Complementary features like an ice cream and sorbet station, salad bar, and signature cocktails (including the Park City Sling) elevate the dining experience beyond standard airport fare. Most notably, the staff consistently provides attentive, professional service that enhances every aspect of the visit. From check-in to beverage recommendations and personalized assistance, their warmth and efficiency reflect a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. In summary, the Salt Lake City Centurion Lounge represents the pinnacle of premium airport hospitality. It combines superior facilities, exceptional cuisine, and exemplary service in a manner that makes it truly stand out. Thank you to the Centurion team for creating such an remarkable space—I highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

It can get a little busy pretty quickly. There's pod rooms, a printer, and multiple bars. There's a observing sky deck that has a open roof feel so you can get some outside air. Food was good but not as many options. The brownies were delicious. Both alcohol and non-alcoholic had many options.

Salt Lake City Delta Sky Club (Terminal A, Upstairs) – 4 Stars The Salt Lake City Delta Sky Club in Terminal A is a well-equipped lounge with several noteworthy features, though there’s still room for improvement. The lounge offers great accessibility, including a dedicated office on the east side that is wheelchair-friendly. On the west side, there are booths providing privacy and some soundproofing, ideal for sensitive conversations or individuals needing a quieter space. The atmosphere is calm, with minimal overhead announcements—you won’t hear the usual reminders about unattended luggage or no smoking. Conveniently, you can leave your bags in your chair while stepping away to the restroom, and no one seems to mind. The lounge has two bars and two buffets offering identical breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, with a good variety of options, including vegetarian selections. While the food is complimentary and tasty, adding a grill for made-to-order items like burgers, paninis, or salads would enhance the experience significantly. The bathrooms are outstanding, with floor-to-ceiling doors for maximum privacy, no-touch entry with a wave of your hand, and a dedicated staff keeping them spotless. The lounge provides excellent views of the area between Terminals A and B (still under construction), and the outdoor seating area, complete with radiant heat, is a standout feature. The overall atmosphere is enjoyable once inside, though it does get busy, and lines can be long both outside and for amenities like showers or food. Delta’s upcoming changes to Sky Club access policies may help alleviate congestion, but until then, it remains a popular and often crowded space. Despite this, the combination of features and comfort makes it a solid choice for travelers. A few upgrades, particularly to dining options, could make it exceptional.

It’s so nice to have a place to go in the airport. At the Salt Lake City delta club, the people are so friendly and helpful. The food is really good, and there’s usually plenty of seating and clean bathrooms, and plugs for phones/computers. I noticed a few sound proof rooms too, those look awesome.
