"“The best pizza in the state, or even the South, is at DeLuca’s,” says Chef Garland. The 18-inch pies are all made with homemade dough and cooked in a 725-degree brick oven. Pizza-craving travelers should note, however, that DeLuca’s is only open Thursday through Sunday, so plan your trip accordingly." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"The most remarkable pizza was a last-minute find, not on our original travel agenda. After enjoying a 102-degree soak but before the best massage of our lives, my travel companion looked at the local magazines arranged in the waiting room of the Quapaw Bathhouse and saw a write-up naming Deluca’s Pizzeria as one of the best restaurants in town. As a visitor from Dallas, where I edit Eater Dallas, I made the rookie mistake of trying to reserve a table — it was unnecessary; they didn’t take table reservations. The staff did inform us, however, of the the reservation we needed to make: The restaurant makes a limited amount of dough in-house each day, and the restaurant closes once they’ve run out. Reserving our dough helped to ensure we got a pizza at all. It was worth the reservation. The crust is light, New York-style and fired in a brick oven at high temperatures. Ours had those flecks of burnt crust that you want. We ordered a pie that was half Sarah Meadows, covered with garlic, chile flakes, oregano, and basil, and half seasonal produce, including arugula and peppadews peppers, and jalapenos. The proprietor, Anthony Valinoti, opened the place a decade ago after years of living in Brooklyn, where he fell in love with New York pizza, and then Vegas, Miami, and California, where he was unable to find a decent dupe. Upon moving to Hot Springs, he just made that dupe himself and started selling it in a restaurant named after his grandfather. There’s a little something special in Deluca’s new-ish location (it moved to a larger space next door to its previous location earlier in the year): Elizabeth Taylor and Eddie Fisher’s bar. The maximalist piece creates a bar area in a corner of the restaurant where folks stop by to grab a beer, cocktail, and sometimes, a whole pie. It was a gift from James Beard Award-winning chef John Currence, and it adds a certain ambiance to an unexpectedly great pizzeria in a town with a lot of strangely glamorous history." - Courtney E. It's really really good pizza. If you are in Hot Springs, is definitely worth it to stop by. Why not a 5? As good as it is, I'm not sure the pizza is quite up to the hype. The cook on the pizza was incredible, perfection. The sauce, experienced on both the meatballs and the pizza, was just kinda plain and bland - would have liked a little more flavor, but that's just me and I'm certainly no expert.

The service was wonderful! I have a food allergy to red meat and they made sure before I even ordered what was prepared separate with no cross contamination. The pizza was delicious with a crispy char that wasn’t burnt with little to no flop of the end. Their speciality drinks are amazing! Over all we had a great experience and will definitely be back!

We sat at the bar and really enjoyed talking to Joseph our bartender. Our pizza was probably overcooked but we were told they had a new pizza oven and were still trying to adjust the baking. Wine and beer were great. Noise level was intense but quieter at the bar, thankfully!

As a college student interning in LR this summer my roommate and I had to try this place after work one day! I walked in at 4:40 preparing to wait for a while but they actually said they had a table for two, and I just waited for my roommate to get off while our server Shelleace helped me. She was probably one of the best servers I’ve had period, she was just on top of everything and so helpful with the menu. The fried mozzarella was 20/10, when we originally got it we were a bit disappointed because it was $14, and we felt like you didn’t get your moneys worth but once we tried it it was actually amazing. We split the pizza flavor as the meat lovers and margherita, and it was also fire. We don’t recommend the Caesar salad, the dressing was a bit too vinegary and the Parmesan crisp was overhyped. But that fried mozzarella though, and the pizza was probably some of the best I’ve had since Rome. And as a place that is more expensive, my roommate and I split the bill completely in half and ended up paying about $36 including 20% tip for the pizza, salad, mozzarella, and two diet cokes. We are broke and thought that was worth it. (Shelleace is the best too, for real)

This place was hands down one of the best pizzas we have ever had! Friend from Memphis Tennessee recommended it while we were visiting Hot Springs. My husband and I had a few beers, split the full Caesar salad, the focaccia sticks and got a half-and-half pizza. The salad was sooo dang good! Pizza was so hot and huge! We will definitely be back! I recommend calling to reserve your pizza dough.

The pizza was amazing, we tried 3 different types and they were all amazing. They're huge that's for sure. The meatballs were amazing. The Caesar salad for two was good and interesting. Very traditional and I was a fan. Absolutely will be back. Best pizza I've had in a long time.

Solid pizza joint. Pizza quality was top notch. Definitely on par with Dave Portnoy’s ranking. There were a lot of pictures of women around the room. It was a little offsetting. The staff recited the same script answer to our question of “why”. Beyond the strange pictures, the pizza was worth it.

De Luca’s was great! We had the Benny Briggs Pie, the Zach-N-Cheese, and the focaccia sticks. The zach-n-cheese is a must buy for an appetizer; the focaccia sticks were also great - very light and airy. The pizza was also great, plenty enough for four people to eat and have leftovers. We will probably order extra cheese next time for the pizza, but other than that it was great! Definitely get there a bit early and check for a wait because they stay BUSY. A 30-45 minute wait seems pretty common, but its close to historic downtown Hot Springs, so you have plenty of places to mosey while you wait. They also have indoor and outdoor waitlist seating if you prefer to stay there. They did not have a lot that we could find- there is paid street parking close to the building and free street parking a little walk away. There isn’t a sign on the front of the building, so it can be a bit hard to spot from the street.
