Google
Always a FUN time at Deluxx Fluxx. One of the few places I go to guarantee I’m going to dance all night and sweat! The drinks are superb. My only complaint is they need to improve the AC bc we really dance dance alllllll night… so it gets a lil hot bc it’s in the basement. The black light/neon/comic decor never gets old! An amazing component to The Belt experience alongside The Skip Tiki Bar/ alley & Standy at the other end.

Google
Great place if you want great music and a place to dance. I was so happy they had a cost check because it’s cold. Definitely a different feel as a night club and it’s always a great time!

Kira Bryant

Google
It's cool or whatever but don't bother paying to check your coat here. My coat was still stolen or given away despite me still having the ticket. Even if I left it by mistake, still pretty scummy . To the person who stole my coat , I hope you catch the cold I had last week.

Google
Very fun place to dance and take pictures!!! The DJ was sooo good tonight and I liked that ppl actually danced! Also the bar is QUICK I like outside security, very cool group of men the ginormous women bouncers and money collectors inside were horrendous and monstrous that was seriously the worst part. Just scary and big for no reason

Christina Caddick

Google
Really cool venue with interesting cocktails on tap (crazy!) and lots of cool arcade games made just for them. Went to see a show here, it's a bit hard to find as the entry is down an alley and the sound engineer seemed to have a rough time (all three bands had issues with their feedback so they didn't know how they sounded) but otherwise it was a great experience.

Google
I ordered one drink. A vodka tonic made with Tito’s. Woke up this morning super sick. I didn’t even finish the whole drink and I feel so terrible. I think they gave me a cheap liquor instead of Tito’s. Update* I know it was the drink because that’s all I had that evening and my sister was also sick. She was worse than be but she also consumed more. I know my body every well so I know what the culprit was. I told a friend about my experience and thee comment to me was that if they knew I was going there, they would’ve told me not to buy drinks in there as they to know someone that had the same experience. I was pretty upset because I had to miss work and I think people should know the risk if they come here. Drink before hand cause something isn’t right. I mean it was so bad I considered going to the ER for an IV. I was sick for an entire week off one drink. Instead of trying to make my review seem false you should investigate why people are getting ill after leaving here.

Google
They charge a cover charge for a hot ass basement party. Super crowded. Everyone was sweating. Bathrooms weren’t clean. The whole experience wasn’t sanitary. Waiting in line. Paying then sweating and being body to body with a bunch of ppl wasn’t ideal. Music was okay. Drinks were pricey like most places

Alexsandra Urdaneta

Google
Fun place to spend the night and dance, the Fluor area was amazing ! Will be great if the music would be more varied so we can all dance a little bit of everything and not just a certain type of musical style.

Kari A.

Yelp
Super cool vibes, I love the glow in the dark seating in the back. Didn't get any food but got some shots and they weren't too pricey, which is always nice. Definitely a fun spot!

Caitlin D.

Yelp
I have tried coming back to this place multiple times with friends and have had the worst experiences. Firstly - the drinks are way expensive and overfilled with ice. For $20+ you basically get a shot of alcohol. The atmosphere and actual layout of those place is super cool- they have glow in the dark walls and dancefloor, multiple different rooms for parties and arcade games. The bathrooms are great for photos, however not the cleanest. RED FLAG ALERT INCOMING several times and several friends including myself personally have been drugged here. I am very cautious with my drink always being near me and in my sight and watching the bartenders make the drinks. Not taking drinks from strangers etc. You know the drill ladies! Every time I have come here and had 2-3 drinks max, I DO NOT REMEMBER THE NIGHT. Beware, the bartenders are known to work with date rape men/women. I would not recommend any of my friends or family to this location!!

Madison C.

Yelp
What an amazing time!! Experience this Detroit bar for the first time and was wonderful. Safe and a great time. The one bartender. Short brunette hair was extremely rude, other than that experience it was a great bar. Go lions!!!

Linda S.

Yelp
Extremely cool atmosphere, especially if you're looking for a club like scene. Black lights looked sooo cool with all of the mosaic art. You can get standard drinks with fast service. There usually is a cover charge, but otherwise, a good place to visit for downtown detriot nightlife.

yvonne t.

Yelp
very fun, cool vibe. fun for a girls night out or a group of friends! Didn't get any drinks, but the security by the bathroom was so nice, felt safe!

Carolina C.

Yelp
This club in Detroit is definitely super cool for the aesthetic! The black light, in one corner of this club truly makes it stand out among all the other venues in the city. I always have a good time when I go, but I can't warrant that to much that more than a great group of people. The DJs are always a hit or miss but when there are big techno events in the city, they do get some really cool DJs. Drinks are pricey and nothing super special. There usually is a line to enter that wraps around the corner, and the bouncers do their best, but it does take a while to make it inside. If you want a really vibey time and definitely a different kind of experience, make it out to Deluxx Flux.

Charnay L.

Yelp
Wish I could give 0 stars. I have been a customer for years and spent hundreds of dollars here. My friend denied a security guards (Marcus) advances on Thursday and we were unable to go into this club on Saturday. When I asked why I was told he did not need to tell me because he was the supervisor and what he says goes. He also got on the phone, called his sister and told her he had some girls he needed her to beat up. Naturally I got upset and started yelling so his supervisor was called. I was told by the supervisor named Nathan that the security guard Marcus has the right to not tell me why I am not allowed inside. I explained how unprofessional the security guard was acting and in response Nathan told me to put myself in Marcus' shoes because reprimanding him publicly would demasculinate him and hurt his pride. I made sure it was clear to Nathan that Marcus disrespected me publicly and I will be reaching out to the manager Blake as soon as possible

Yelp
So here's the deal, I've only ever been here on a weeknight. Meaning, there wasn't really any programming. And without live music or some sort of dance party it does feel pretty quiet. But the space is so cool, the blacklight artwork and the tricked out video games and pinball machines add to a really artsy, rad vibe. And the cocktails are great. But without that extra oomph their performances and such provide it doesn't get super crowded so the space feels a little empty. So, if you're looking for a high energy spot, check their schedule beforehand and make sure there's something going on. If you're looking for something more low key but visually interesting, come on Tuesday night and enjoy the chill. But know you may be one of only a few people there.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Bummer. No drinks for us unless we paid for the concert playing tonight. We came for some drinks and some snacks and to checkout this cool neon rich bar or club. Wasn't going to work out for us. There was a concert playing, couldn't tell you the name of the band. The bouncer informed us it was $12/pp for this Indie R&B band. Wasn't feeling like paying $24 just to get into the place for a drink. Oh well. Thus ending our evening abruptly in the D at least.

Brittany H.

Yelp
I love this part of Detroit - hidden in an alley, bright neon lights inside, and a diverse crowd with a variety of music. The only downfall, I'd you want to consider it one, is that the art inside is so cool that you'll see all the women and men taking selfies or hot pictures for social media. I went on a Friday night and the cover charge for men and women is $5. That's probably the cheapest price to pay for a club/bar in Detroit. Oh, and there's an arcade inside the bar, giving this more of dive bar feel. The drinks are all tasty and reasonably priced for the amount of liquor you receive. This is definitely a must go-to bar when visiting Detroit .

Mishael T.

Yelp
This bar has changed a lot since I first came here a few years ago. It's pretty busy now and the music is really good. All modern rap which is nice to have downtown. Love coming here. Drinks can be a bit pricey but typical downtown

Nadia B.

Yelp
Whenever there's a new spot downtown I always have to check it out. They hype around this place was big! We waited in a line outside for 45 minutes in the cold (while the bouncer was letting his friends cut the line the second they showed up) once we got inside it was truthfully, underwhelming. There's a $20 cover charge at the door (cash only) Bartenders seemed skilled and offered a good selection of beer. The live band that played had equipment with poor sound quality. It sounded muffled and low. A cool selection of arcade games to chose from and plenty of opportunities to take a cool photo with all of the neon backdrops.

Danielle F.

Yelp
The establishment was nice, and I loved the "Glow in the Dark" Neon affect produced by black lights. This club definitely drew a younger crowd. So if you're a Gen-X preferring a more mature crowd, this may not be the spot to hang. I had good company which made it worthwhile.

Nkem B.

Yelp
Cute trendy place to check out on the weekend! They have cute neon lights and glow in the dark neon colored decor, great for Instagram pics! They also have a small arcade and great music

Tiana T.

Yelp
Visited here in celebration of a friend's birthday. The atmosphere was energetic and the music was awesome. Libations were delicious. I will return here for sure.

Blue A.

Yelp
TLDR: Horrible karaoke singers but the vibe was dope! ____ It was pretty Empty on a weeknight but great for grabbing a beer with fRiends. I Had a tasty local sour beer while listening to a few of the folks that were in the bar scream into the mic. They were hands down the worst singers I've ever heard. But they were having so much fun. The back room area is all in black lights and neon paint which made for a really cool vibe. Overall it was a cool nIght out.

Karmen B.

Yelp
This place gets 5 stars for the uniqueness. They have games such as pinball machines, air hockey and more. We played pinball and it took me back to my younger days. They also had a section made up of a bunch of neon colors which I loved. DJ was playing good tunes and just overall a had a cool vibe.

Katalina G.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in downtown Detroit. Cool hip underground club that is much larger than you think it would be for a basement club. The bar has always had fast service. I've been here a few times and there has been different music each time I was there. One night was rap, another was trance/techno so you may want to see what they are playing if you are picky about your music. Cover charge is usually around $5.00 and well worth it. The neon room is very cool! A must see if in the downtown Detroit area.

Olivia A.

Yelp
Music venue with $5 cover charge after ten was a fun place to grab a drink with friends. You enter through and alley way and go down a flight of stairs into the underground bar area. There was a DJ playing near the bar and an arcade to the right and a fun neon black light area to the left!

Sara M.

Yelp
Came here while visiting a friend in Detroit. Fun, casual place. Great to go at least once (to take some photos at the very least). Unfortunately was quite packed, but that was a given since it was a Saturday night. The black light area (extremely colorful) was only a smaller section of the bar. Drinks are cheapppp (at least compared to Chicago/ New York). There was a $5 cover, cash only. Neat experience!

Mira M.

Yelp
It was my first time ever in this place. I grew up in the metro Detroit area and go out downtown every weekend. I was a little hesitant about coming here but decided to give it a chance. I had a great time, vibed, loved the music and people. Unfortunately, as I was leaving I was putting my coat on by the exit and the security decided to PHYSICALLY put his hands on me, literally shoved me out of the door, and was continuously blurting racial comments at me. Never coming here again, definitely DO NOT feel safe here.

Austin P.

Yelp
I wanted to get a drink, I wanted the place to be unique. I needed something close to the hotel I was staying at, and I wanted above all some good music. This place delivered! I'm talking the vibes were out of this world. I went around 8 ish and it wasn't packed at all. The music was really good, a mix of new school and old. The drinks were a little pricey to be honest but they didn't skimp with the alcohol, so that's good. The decor inside is unreal! So unique. Ill be posting some pictures so you can see for yourself! Detroit bar scene did not disappoint. It's not the best bar I've been to soooo that's the reason for the 4 star. But it was pretty damn good. Thanks! I hope my review help. Vodka cranberry: 10$ Cover fee: 0$ Open until: 2pm Got packed around: 10pm

John W.

Yelp
Stickiest floors Ive ever walked on. Literally pulled a chunk off the sole of my shoe. Should definitely not be considered a music venue either. The stage has very little elevation. I went and saw a band there last night and I literally never saw the group, just heard them. Im not super short or anything like that either. With a couple hundred people here, it's a new level of cramped, hot, sticky hell, but with black lights. I won't shrug off the positives though, the prices are good and the bar staff was very very helpful and friendly. They were the best part of my visit. The black light thing is kinda cool for a second and I appreciate the effort with the arcade machines. Actually the sound during the performance was pretty great even though I couldn't see the band. Priority #1 should be cleaning the floor for God's sake. Then if some solution could go in place to help with visibility during live shows, it would be a place I'd be happy to go to. In the meantime, I'll be somewhere else.

Mehdi A.

Yelp
Checked this place out during its opening weekend. It was sweet! Art + Music = my favorite. The whole thing is a pretty neat experience and it couldn't be in a better spot- located in Detroit's most popular alley, The Belt. Walking down the stairs into this retro atmopshere made me feel like I just immersed myself into the world of Blade Runner or Tron. The neon lights really created this energtic vibe. The art is by the Brooklyn street artist duo, Faile and Bast and they did a phenomnal job. Only small gripe that I have is that they did such a good job that it calls for people using this venue for there IG pics. The neon room was literally filled with people and there phones out. They had some unique drinks too! The dancehall queen was my favorite. I defintley need to come back another night and try out the arcade games. I'm also excited to see how shows will be there. Overall, nice addition to Detroit. I'm loving what's coming to the city!

Ashlee H.

Yelp
So if you get to this spot by 7-8 there isn't the typical cover. They have really overpriced drinks that the juice to alcohol ratio is way off. Cool hipster place to take photos. But that's about it. I wasn't super impressed like most ppl talk about this place.

Autumn P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Great photo opportunities! I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to go to a super busy place in downtown but still wants to have fun!!

Nicole E.

Yelp
Went last weekend on Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday and my group ran into a girl that was both extremely drunk and all alone. A man there kept acting like he knew her and was following her around everywhere he went. We believe he drugged her and while this was happening we kept asking the security guards for help. After we kept asking for help they ended up escorting us out telling us we had to leave (even though we didn't even know this girl who was clearly alone). Upon asking for help and getting escorted out, all of the employees watched us physically carry her up the stairs and outside, not offering any help or to even hold a door open. Once we got outside we attempted multiple times to call 911 (asking employees to help us do so) to get an ambulance because she had been slurring her words and then became unconscious and unresponsive. The manager finally decided to come outside once the ambulance arrived and the manager didn't even help us clear the alley for the ambulance. The manager then threatened to have security escort our group out of the alley once the ambulance arrived to follow "protocol" after she found out that the girl was underage (20yo), even though we had been with the girl the entire time since we had found her alone inside of Deluxx Fluxx and were the only ones that knew what happened. It was a life or death situation and the management at Deluxx Fluxx only decided to step in when they realized their reputation was at stake. Not only did they not offer any help for one of their customers (after we repeatedly asked), they also let someone in that was underage and alone. My friends and I will not be giving them our business ever again and I hope that the girl and her family sue for negligence.

Kunal B.

Yelp
This place is horribly managed. Me and my group of friends ran into a girl who was clearly extremely drunk and alone. A man pretending to know her was continuously stalking her and we believed he drugged her. After asking for help from security, all they did was escort us outside and left. We ended up having to call an ambulance because the girl was unconscious and unresponsive. The manager came out once the ambulance arrived and yelled at us to get out of the way when we were the only ones who knew what happened to her. Along with this while we were attempting to call 911, they refused to let us inside and yelled at us to get out! After finding her ID we found out she was only 20 years old. Horrible management, only cares about their business and did not care for a clearly endangered and underaged

Michelle A.

Yelp
Came on a Thursday to hear 3 "punk" bands for free. Beer was $5, good selection, foors super sticky, art was great, cool arcade, super clean bathroom, sound quality alright, but that lighting was horrible!!! It was way too bright. The super bright lights kill the mood and people's desire to dance. The people who work there are great.

Alex T.

Yelp
This place is really overrated. I was here a few weeks ago with some friends. We were all curious about it based on the pictures. In reality, only about a third of the place is a glow area. The rest is a very bland, industrial looking place, which is fine for a bar, but I think most people come here for the glow, and it doesn't deliver. The glow area also hasn't held up well to wear and tear.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Cool bar. Has a very fun vibe. Drinks are good. Great place for late night hang outs. Get here!

Mandy C.

Yelp
I've never been to a bar quite like this! All the walls and floors are cover with black light, neon posters. It's an experience! Cover was around $10 on a Saturday. I think it was worth it. The atmosphere was high energy and the place was packed. We danced our way to a less crowded part and boogied our night away. This place is the perfect opportunity for a photo op. I think some beers were around $5 and cocktails were around $10. We never had a problem flagging down a bartender, and our drinks were prepared quickly! I would 10/10 come back here. I'm glad I found this place.

Madison M.

Yelp
Such a cool, fun atmosphere with great photo opportunities, drinks, and arcade games!!

Bryan L.

Yelp
You have to love the neon scene here. Fun stop for sure! They have a really good twist on the Moscow mule. I suggest you try one if you don't mind a little sweet with your mule. Great place for large groups. A must see when in the D!

Sydney K.

Yelp
It's a no for me. Went on a Saturday night and there was no wait, which was nice. $5 cover, cash only- not surprising. It's in a basement and fairly large, but they pack you in there like sardines. So many people it was hard to move through. Anyways, I try to order a Moscow mule when we get there and was told they were "out of cranberry juice" so it couldn't be made (MM's don't even have cranberry juice, but I guess their version does??). The guy asked if there was something else I wanted. I glanced down at the menu and this man literally waved me off. I was like ok??? And ended up ordering nothing because I didn't want to spend like $12 on a drink I didn't even like. 15 mins later my friend tells me he watched someone order and receive a MM. I returned to the bar and asked a different bartender, who made me the drink. All was well. Until I tasted it. Straight up ginger juice. Not even ginger beer. Literally tasted like a juiced ginger root and nothing more. Burned my throat so bad I couldn't even drink it. If I was dying of thirst in the Mojave desert I wouldn't even be able to drink this drink. So, $12 wasted in a musty bar with shitty service.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Have been wanting to check out this place since it opened up at the end of summer. Finally checked it out after exploring some of the Christmas themed bars in The Belt. When if first opened, the location was shrouded as "secret" with XX marks the spot over the door, taking a nod from secret speakeasy type hipster bars in bigger cities like Chicago. It's at the end of the street in The Belt. We stopped in pretty late so I'm not sure about cover charge but it's located down stairs in a basement. There's a black light room completely covered in black light posters from ceiling to floor and booths you can sit in for photo ops that are also covered in black light posters. There's even a black light foosball table in the room. There's a large dancing area in the center where there is either a dj or live bands playing. No black light in the center area but music was good. They were playing funky retro 1960s and 70s jams. I'd love to come back to catch a show or for their Chromeo themed dj set coming up. They also have a room to the right with around 10 arcade games, not as big as Pop + Offworld or Ready Player One but a pretty cool addition to this fun bar. Deluxx Fluxx offers something for everyone whether you're a gamer, like to dance, enjoy live music or just love taking pics in their visually stunning black light room for "The Gram." Drinks are decent. Right now they're offering guest taps at the bar for example they were offering Takoi's Ice Cold Bruegger or boozy Thai Ice Tea which is so delicious and one of my faves. Crowd was mixed but seemed like a lot of youngins in mini skirts, lol. Despite this, it was a pretty cool place. I'd definitely like to stop in and spend more time here.

Zoe B.

Yelp
Art bar event venue in Downtown Detroit. Deluxx Fluxx may be one of the most photographed bars in Detroit, but the pictures do not do it justice. The neon photos you will see online makes it look like a sort of childish and overwhelming atmosphere, but the actual place is quite pleasant. Featuring art installations in all rooms, the space itself is a good talking piece. I also enjoyed the way the dance floor really extends into the room, making it easy to get your friends to start dancing with you. Also, avoid their cocktail drinks on tap, they will disappoint you. Quick note: -It's not uncommon for their events to sell out so buy tickets in advance (especially because they are typically not very expensive).

Jill B.

Yelp
Went on a Thursday night so I wasn't expecting too much of a crowd, however there was literally no crowd. I found that to be very interesting. It's a bit dive-y feeling, especially the bathrooms, but the place has a really cool vibe to it. I love the black light area, and the dance floor. I love love love the gaming options even though after a couple of drink I was awful at them. The drinks were strong, which is definitely a selling point for this area. I'd love to check it out on a weekend night and get a real feel for the crowd it brings in, because I'm sure a Thursday night just didn't do it justice. I'll definitely be back.

Neha P.

Yelp
I kept seeing pictures of this place and had to try it out. Went on a Sunday since we had time and it was pretty dead there (which honestly I don't mind at all). Got a couple drinks, felt like normal Detroit pricing and took a seat to listen to music and hang out. My pictures weren't as great as many others but that is ok... It was worth the try. I need to find the night it's busier and test it out again.

Abhilash T.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in, I knew I was far too old to be in this place. There's too much neon for me to think straight here. But, it's not all negative. The drinks were phenomenal. We were with a large group and everyone got something different so we tried most things they had to offer. Every drink was an interesting take on a classic and they had some of their own concoctions which were all great.

Ava G.

Yelp
If you want to pay a pretty penny for a mixed drink and sit in a neon room that smells like puke then this is your spot. Cool to go to one time for pictures but there are bunch of other worthwhile places to go for house music where the bartenders can actually make more than a vodka soda..... crowd is absolutely horrid as well

Vivian S.

Yelp
Came out here because it's the new "new" and had to check it out of course! I came with a group on a Saturday night and I just have to shout out the lady who collects the cover cause she hooked us up So this spot is in a basement and on a Saturday night, a new bar, you can imagine how many people are there. It was HOT. Like disgustingly hot. We got drinks, took obligatory photos in the glow room and left. It's a cool spot to grab a drink and leave but nothing as the hype as it's been made out to be

Meagan R.

Yelp
I am 27 and felt like the mom of all the attendees. The drinks were terrible. The only cool part was the black light room, but the music was awful. Pretty sure only one song played the entire half hour we were there. Only recommend if you're 21 and a fan of psychedelic drugs.

Will M.

Yelp
Really fun bar. Great decor and love the black light area. Probably one of the best gin and tonics I've ever had. Friendly service. A must to check out if you're visiting Detroit!!

Zach J.

Yelp
It's really cool to see places like this pop up in the D. I wish this was around when I was younger and lived a mile away. I'm a big fan of the neon lights and general decor...very cool space, although the floor was pretty gross. This is definitely a club type place aimed at the 20's crowd, most of whom seem to come from the burbs. I was there for about an hour or two and it definitely got busier later in the night. When we left there was a big line to get in so be prepared for that on a weekend night. I guess this is the new place to go for suburban kids to come to in the city. The drinks were decent but a little pricy. Don't order the Manhattan...it's not a Manhattan. You can't just call any drink with bourbon in it a Manhattan and then put mezcal and mole in it. The beer selection was awesome and way more varied then I would expect at a place like this. You don't come here for the drinks though so it doesn't really matter.

Shelley S.

Yelp
I knew where I was going but still I was lost! As I walked up and down the belt I finally found the green door! That must be it! We were there early so the bouncers were not out yet. As we slowly ventured thru the hallway and down the stairs we were a little unsure.. but thru the last door was a rush to our senses! The place is definitely a must go. I can imagine when the entertainment starts it is the place to be!! Great drinks and fun black light room... check it out!!!

Rajon M.

Yelp
Really cool space inside! They had an arcade room, open bar area, and an UV/Neon room with comics all over the wall, glowing details on the floor, little corners to chill in with your group of friends and even a foosball table (pay to play). If you don't drink, they do have soft drinks and lemonade available.

Tyler C.

Yelp
This place is definitely a must stop in if you're bar hopping in Detroit. My experience seems to be a little better than other but I arrived fairly early in the night so it wasn't crazy busy and I was able to get my drinks with ease. Drink selection wasn't huge but they had some good choices. The interior is very unique and a cool experience. As I was there the place began to fill up with people and I can see how it can get a little crazy, but overall my experience was very pleasant and I'd recommend this place to others

Bill D.

Yelp
I like the venue alot. BUT the premade cocktails suck ! and Beer choices are limited. hardly any of the arcade games worked.
