DeMarco's Catering & Gourmet Deli

Living in the area since 1995 and while DeMarco's has always been the best place to get Italian Bread I had never catered. Last weekend I catered my husband's 60th birthday party at our home and I could not have been more pleased. Eugene guided me through what to order for 50 guests. Every single item was a delectable joy. Fried Ravioli, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Thai Chicken Spring Rolls, Veal Scallopine, Shrimp Fra Diablo, Eggplant Rollatini, Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, and Penne with Prosciutto in a Tomato Cream sauce, so yummy. Special nod to the minj Beef Wellington appetizers I accidently froze and forgot to serve till Monday, they were incredible. I'm a super satisfied customer and actually enjoyed my party for the first time (since I usually cook myself). Thanks Eugene and the DeMarco's staff for preparing such amazing food!

I had a great experience at Demarco's Catering! The freshly baked seeded Italian bread was absolutely delicious crusty on the outside and soft inside. Their homemade Italian sausage was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The real star was the homemade marinara, rich and hearty with that true homemade taste. Everything came together for an excellent lunch that my whole family enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Had a mix up with our order. One of the owners Gene went above and beyond to make my son’s 1st birthday amazing. We can’t thank you enough for helping make it right and make a perfect sandwich for our guest. Thank you!

Where do I start? I've used DeMarco's for business catering (and two holiday parties) the past 5 years. Excellent customer service (from booking catering with Kristen to the delivery staff). The food is amazing - especially the eggplant rollatini and the chicken dishes AND the amazing Italian meatballs. I agree with the other reviews that the bread is the best in NJ! The catering prices are far the best around.

First of all this is about my second or third time to this store. I waited in the back to possibly buy chicken cutlets. No one came at all to help. And secondly the girls that work the register are consistently rude and unfriendly and this therefore has influenced me not returning. It’s a shame. Maybe you should tell your cashiers to smile and be nice to your customers when they are spending good money here.

Taste was not bad. Just too expensive. The garlic rolls and regular rolls are nice too but little pricey at 70 cents a pop.

Honestly, the bread that is made here is by far the best in the area. We have had guests from out of state and they usually stop by to get a couple of loaves before heading home. The workers in this store are all friendly and very personable. We use this place when we are having parties and serving 3 foot sandwiches to feed our guests. The food is consistently great and would highly recommend if you are in the area.

I had the pleasure of trying a super solid cold cut combo—Ham, Salami, and Cheese on fresh, crusty Italian bread. Add in crisp chopped pickles, onions, and a generous drizzle of oil and vinegar, and you’ve got yourself a deli masterpiece. I call it the Jack Boy Special. The cold cuts were fresh, the bread was perfect, and every bite had that balance you look for but rarely find. Honestly, I wish I had snapped a photo—it was one of the most photo-worthy sandwiches I’ve had in a minute. The kind of sandwich that makes you pause and appreciate the craft. Can’t speak to the price, since it was a lunchtime gift from Jack Boy himself (salute to you, my guy), but I can say this: I’ll 100% be back. Fookaneez got it. Sandwich up. 🥪🔥

DeMARCO'S has been a local favorite for 50 years, and it's easy to see why! This family-owned Italian market truly does it all -- and does it well. They have a legendary deli counter loaded with subs, wraps, cheeses, soups, sauces, and their famous fresh-baked bread. The butcher counter is top-notch -- and you've got to try the chicken cutlets, they're some of the best around. Their fresh mozzarella is made daily, and the baked goods (bread, pastries, cookies) are always fresh and impossible to resist. They even have a well-stocked pantry section with all the Italian essentials -- from jars of their own house-made sauce to Antonio's pasta and more. You can even grab Nasto's ice cream for dessert! One of my favorite things about DeMARCO'S is their family dinners, which feed 4-6 people and make weeknights so much easier. I tried the Sunday Sauce Family Dinner and it absolutely did not disappoint -- hearty, homemade, and full of that comforting Italian flavor. And if you're hosting a gathering or event, their catering menu is enormous -- seriously one of the biggest and most impressive I've ever seen. Whatever you need, they've got it covered. DeMARCO'S is one of those places that feels like home -- friendly service, fresh ingredients, and food made with care. DeMarco's is a phenomenal Italian deli in Aberdeen. They make their own breads which are delicious. Their sandwiches are excellent and they have a variety of other things you can buy. They also have a wide range of cold cuts and meats to buy. I purchased a chicken parmigiana sub which was excellent but I should have only purchased the half because the whole is a whole lotta sandwich. I will be coming back for more subs, breads, and other items.

Love stopping here omw down the shore -- they have so many incredible imported italian goodies ranging from desserts, sweets, meats and have an incredible deli whipping up all the classic italian subs such as chicken parm, prosciutto, and more. The sandwiches are incredible here -- my go to is the 24 which is a prosciutto broccoli rabe, mozzarella sandwich. It's super stuffed and the ingredients are so fresh -- a massive whole size costs around $23. A little costly for a sandwich but is definitely large enough to share amongst two. It's located in a strip mall so plenty of parking and the service is super helpful and fast. Love it here and if I lived closer would be coming here more often. Inside is similar to a bistro deli/ and a small italian grocery store.

This is the 2nd time I order from here in 14 months. Great service both times. The options are endless. From the moment I made the call I got friendly staff. Very knowledgeable ,making sure I have enough food for the amount of people that would be attending. They delivered to my event 45 mins away.Awesome !! My catering experience from start to finish was so wonderful. The food quality was exceptional.So many of my guests at both party's came up to me personally during and after the party to express how much they enjoyed the food, also Where i ordered from. Keep doing what you are doing.What a great crew!

A smaller and intimate Italian Deli offering a nice variety of fresh sandwiches and platters. Nice selection of specialty items and sauces. Cookies and other similar items available as well. Prices are moderate but quality is there for what they ask for. Nice meats and they have great sausage. There have been other "Italian markets" that have popped up in the area but DeMarcos has been here a long time and continue to do things well. The service is always attentive and you feel welcome And appreciated here. It's like walking into a neighborhood store with a warm feeling you can only get from a mom and pop shop. Demarcos = Delicious!

Update: Service is going down... and it's a shame. They aren't even keeping up with maintaining the place anymore. Years ago this was probably the best deli in Monmouth County, and hopefully they get it figured out.

I would like to thank DeMarco's Catering for the delicious food served at the Celebration of life party give by Charol chojnacki at the Zander YMCA PARK on Sunday July 13, 2025. They did an exceptional job with the set up and the continued service by the staff...Along with all the food they had cotton candy for the children and or adults with the suprise of the Ice Cream Truck...Another beautiful attraction was the showing of all the antique cars..Wow.....I would highly recommend DeMarco's for any party that you plan of having....Best of luck with many more engagements in the future.....Paula Schlosser......*****

The food here is always good. Never disappointed. I usually order the wraps for traveling but I've had their other dishes as well. The portion sizes are plentiful. They don't skimp.

The staff is typically in high spirits/ very friendly and can make your sandwich dreams come true! Great salads and spreads but I always run in for their sausages and sub sandwiches. The hard Italian is the best bread and made fresh there! Always recommend going here when in the area

Since 1975... Located in a strip mall on Route 34 in Aberdeen about half way back. Look, Italian delis have always been my jam. Finding one certainly hasn't been easy since moving to the area a little over one year ago. My cousin who lives in the next town over highly recommended this place, when I mentioned about an Italian deli/ market. Sandwiches certainly aren't cheap. If you get a whole on Italian bread ($2.00 extra) total will run about $15-18 a clip. Ended up ordering two cold subs. For her, (#24) prosciutto, fresh mutz, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, olive oil & balsamic. I chose (#23), fried chicken cutlet, fresh mutz again with roasted peppers. So good on both ends. Enough for two meals actually. Come before noon if you can. Bread is still fresh as is the mozzarella, and they start lining up inside the store.

This has been our favorite sandwich place. Their Italian bread is great. The other day we ordered a grilled chicken parm on Italian bread, as we have done many times, and brought it home to eat. As my wife was taking a bite, she bit into a medal shard. She called to tell them what happened and we brought the shard in to show the owner. As we entered the store we asked a guy behind the counter for the owner. Just so happened he was the person we spoke to on the phone. He said that this was not the first time this happened. We spoke to the owner, showing him the shard, and he said he had no idea what it was from and didn't even offer to reimburse the money we paid. Beware of sandwiches using sauces since it probably came from them opening a can of sauce. I know he should have shown some concern and he should have offered to make us whole. This is no way to treat any customer. Didn't even care about our wellbeing.

Yesterday we catered our Labor Day party for 175 people from De Marcos. We ordered a variety of subs and a variety of wraps. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The potato and macaroni salad was delicious. The food was delivered on time and the delivery guy was very friendly. At first there was some confusion about the order but the owner Eugene got on the phone right away and clarified everything. The is the 3rd time we catered from DeMarcos recently and we will continue in the future. They value their customers and take care of them!

I ordered a few trays from here for my engagement party and the food was incredible! The chicken fontina was my favorite! Everyone was raving about the food all night. Prices are fair and reasonable. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We were even able to add a few extras on the day before the party. I was so impressed I will definitely be using them again for my next catered event. Called & asked if they have gluten free options for someone who is seriously allergic to gluten. They said they do so we went there for lunch. The gluten free options were tomato mozzarella "salad", chocolate covered pretzels & a box of crackers. The gluten free person had to go buy her own meal to cook at home. Do better.

I really like DeMarco's. Their food and service are second to none and it is a treat I always look forward to having whenever I come back to the area. These kind of specialty delis simply do not exist in the DMV. The employees are super friendly and accommodating, and the prices are fair. You definitely get a lot of food for the price, thus getting excellent value. Unlike Lavoti's, I feel DeMarco's has a more personal feel as they know and remember their customers and really want you to return so you can try some of their amazing products. I know I will be returning.

Tried Demarcos for the first time today was looking for a good deli lunch spot near Matawan, while walking in you can tell this place is well managed and takes their food seriously They have a nice lineup or sandwiches and a case of deli favorites as well as a shop of Italian specialties , oils , spreads etc I had a turkey bacon wrap and ate half it was so big will eat the rest for dinner Service was good I was greeted on entry and 4 busy people working behind the deli counter I wish there was some seating to eat there but seems to be limited to take out and catering

Good food, best meatballs around that aren't made at home, but slowest sandwich makers on the planet. Carve out some time if you're going for a sub.

Just moved here recently and wanted to give this place a try, after seeing so many positive reviews! And people raving about it. Ok. No! Very dissatisfied and disappointed. The riceballs were dry and falling apart! The stuffed breads were just bread, not so much filling inside. The sausage bread; the sausage had over kill on fennel! The spinach bread was nicely seasoned but nothing in it, spinach wilts and I'm lucky whatever strands in there I was able to taste the seasoning. Pepperoni bread and eggplant bread as well! Not sure I'll go back!

Usually like their food esp subs but gotta comment it was soo bad. The beef stew was horrible. Meat too tough to chew and very few veggies incl potatoes. Mine was all tough not edible meat and gravy. Won't get that again.

I'd give it 0 stars I'd I could! Slop on a bread is what I got totally the most discusting sub I've never had....oh no it's NOT!! Let's not forget the eggplant parmesan was worse looked like stewed old zucchini looked nothing like eggplant smashed on a grinder roll in old sauce or something really couldn't make out what it was! My told my dad to grabbed a loaf of Italian bread on the way out....when we got home it wasnt edible! It was stale hard as a rock he doesnt know any better he in his 90's! How could they sell that to a local resident! Trashed everything! I've been going their for years but my family won't anymore rather drive to Madison to get decent food!

Friends had food delivered to our home when we had a tragic loss in the family. They sent us about 8-10 trays of various dishes, bread, cookies, and crumb cake. Everything was delicious! Even the chicken meatballs - who knew chicken meatballs could be so good?!? Everything tasted homemade. Their crumb cake was one of the best I've ever had. Cookies - fantastic. Italian bread - freshly made and amazing. A new go-to place.

Disappointed when I went in to pickup sandwiches & after checking out realizing their online prices did not match their advertised price. Purchased a "ham, salami & provolone full sub", "half bologna sub", & a "half roast beef sub." They should really update the website. Not cool.

Always a good Sandy at Demarcos! Friendly service, excellent bread and to go dinners! Their tuna fish salad is delicious!

Wow what a great job you all did BBQing our family party yesterday. From dealing with Kelly and Kristen when booking everything so nice and very friendly and they made it so easy. To the chef that cooked everything( forgot his name sorry) you did a magnificent job in that heat and you cooked everything to perfection and so delicious. The servers you recommended Brenda and Della were beyond exceptional so friendly and attentive and took care of us from beginning to end. Thanks does not seem enough but we thank you so much. You will get our business again for sure and will recommend you all to everyone.

Terrible service and terrible catering food, we are a medical officer and get lots of lunches in the area. Received lunch today the lettuce was so brown and wilted no one could eat it, the egg plate relating tasted very old! Called the manager way before this post and was put on hold three times , called back the forth time and I was yelled at because I couldn't wait on hold!!! You think she would of called me back, very unprofessional with bad food stay away!!!

Delicious deli sandwiches. I come here often on the weekends to order a sandwich. I recommend getting your sandwich on the regular bread, but if you want the thicker Italian, it is a carbo treat as well. If I know it is going to be busy, I will call in my order and pick up at the front (instead of waiting on line). Delicious!

Everything is wonderful! From the customer service, set up, food, delivery - This is the best place if you are catering a party. I have used them several times in the past and just yesterday again for a birthday celebration. Kristin is helpful and we also hired a server - Alex - who was fabulous! Cannot recommend them enough.

Well I finally found a deli that can make an affordable Italian sub sandwich with plenty of meat and cheese on an excellent crunchy Italian roll. I have tried the sub shops and the mom and Pop shop's. But after many years and many bad sandwiches this place knocks it out of the park. They have a lot of great choices of prepared and fresh food. Give this place a try, it's worth it.

Very solid, always very good. The women who work there could not be nicer. I especially like the Chicken Salad, any of the butchers offerings, all of the cheeses, the bread and any of the cold cuts and sandwiches. Top notch!!!

Good quality food and bakery however you'll spend your paycheck checking out! They are not cheap. Very expensive place. Be careful with their cookies because they are super expensive!! $40 for a plate of regular assorted cookies. $40!! Go to stop and shop and pay less. Anyways good food just be ready to spend money.

Typically it's a good experience except for two women behind the counter who could be a bit unpleasant Today, i had an issue with one of them. And to boot, when i got home first bite of my sandwich had a nice long 16" brown hair in it

I really like Demarco's. The food is amazing and the employees are very friendly. The prepared foods are delicious and there are lots of choices. The prices are affordable. I would highly recommend the subs and bread options too.

Their freshly baked bread are the best in the area. That's about it. I've had sandwiches there before and they were Ok I honestly get the sandwiches from DeMarco because of the bread. Today I was very disappointed, I ordered 2 half sandwiches Turkey and breaded chicken. The Cold cuts quality was really awful. I asked for broccoli rabe on the breaded cutlet sandwich, I got home and there were only my 2 stalks of broccoli. I was so disappointed. They used to be generous with their sandwiches. I don't know what happened !!!

Ordered catering for 1:00 pick up and when I got to the store they were still making it. 1:33 now and still nothing. If you can not handle the business don't except the order.

The food here is excellent. Great customer service. I have been to this shopping center many times but have never stopped in. This place is definitely worth coming to.

DeMarco's has been one of my go to places for my family from before I was married. Excellent Italian specialty store and they have the best bread around. I have had them cater parties for me many times and it is always perfect. Really good meat dept, deli, pastries and prepared meals. Family owned and operated. Gene by caring enough to ask you got got 5 stars!!!!

The real deal Italian Deli. Professional staff, super sandwich's on crusty breads prepared to order. A must when I visit the Jersey Shore. While waiting for your sandwich's pick up some grab and go stuff. You'll be glad you did.

I will not return. I'm not in the shopping center often but my husband and I needed to go to the store near by so we stopped in here for a quick snack and bread for dinner that night. All the prepared food at the counter on display is supposed to be fully cooked. My husband's stuffed meatball had very red raw meat in the center and the ricotta cheese even seemed raw and not cooked. I am grateful my husband was not sick from this. The prices seem a bit high and not reasonable. I will only be going to Livotis near by from now on. I've never had an issue with their cooked food.

DeMarco's offer decent sandwiches and their bread is really good. I have never ordered anything else except for their subs. I usually get their fresh mozzarella, prosciutto with roasted red peppers drenched with red wine vinegar on a sub hero but to me its a bit light on cheese and meat for my taste. When I go to an Italian deli I always expect a hardy sandwich. There are really not a lot of Italian delis out here. My family caters different sandwiches from here whenever we have lunch together and they love it.

This is a nice little Italian deli. Lots of homemade goods, fresh breads and Italian specialties! Parking is a breeze in this lot! They also cater!

Bread here is top notch. I love the store from the soups to the deli counter. Fresh string beans and garlic to breaded chicken cutlets and delicious in house roast beef. It's small business which I live because big corporations don't have the people's best interest in mind. This is my go to shop. I love their employees, service and the food. I have also catered from them and was very happy. Debbie A. only writes negative reviews by the way she must be fun to be around. I discovered this place during covid and I'm not commuting to work , and I now come in for sandwiches 2-3 days a week . Have to say that they have by far the best bread in Monmouth County. Chicken salad is the best I've ever had . If you want to try something amazing get there garlic knots and eat it with the chicken salad . The another amazing dish is the garlic chicken try it on a sub with broccoli rob .. Prices are very fair. What really makes the place special are the employees . Very warm and welcoming. They make your feel like family .

One of the best Italian Delis in the area. I usually get my sandwiches here. It is really good because they use their freshly made breads. It is reasonably priced and always fresh and delicious. The food options are pretty comprehensive and are excellent. Their bakery is top notch The service is nice and they treat regulars like family. I highly recommend it.

Best Italian bread in Jersey. The rustic Italian and traditional French baguette are phenomenal.

While the food is often superior to other local Italian delis, their customer service is terrible! They don't have enough employees working which leads to awful wait times and frustration. Not to mention this morning (Christmas Eve) when we went to go pick up our holiday order it was a maze on ridiculous lines. A line to pay, a line to pick up. Have you heard of prepaying? Scheduled pickup times? So inefficient and inconvenient when you have a thousand other things to do before the holiday! THE WAIT WAS OVER 2 HOURS--just to pick up an order!! Next holiday season, we will be skipping demarcos all together! Totally not worth it when there are other great Italian options literally right down the road.

Love Demarcos! So many great options! My favorites are the Turkey and Chicken Parm subs!

While always liked shopping at DeMarco's I had an unpleasant experience with one of the cashiers who was quite rude. Spoke back with a nasty attitude and threw back my change on the counter. Asked if I wanted to speak with a manager and proceeded to get the manager who turned out to be just as snippy! Will shop at Livoti's where you're treated with respect!

Just had a surprise 60th Birthday for my Dad and had DeMarco's cater the food. hands down amazing. They showed up right on time set up in 10 minutes. Gave perfect directions on how to keep the food hot. Dropped off the sterno racks and got the deposit back no problem. The food was wonderful. We had Penne Vodka, Zuppa De Clams, Eggplant Rolatini, and Lemon Garlic Chicken. Everything was hot right on time like they said it would be and tasted wonderful. There was a lot of extra food so that would be the only negative. I don't like waste so I brought it to work and got another round of rave reviews. Would totally recommend them to anyone catering a party. Awesome job Ladies and Gents!

I have been to DeMarcos for their sandwiches at the deli, food products and catering, and I must say they are delicious. the quality and taste of their food is remarkable, everyone is friendly, although food somewhat pricey.
