6 Seattle-Area Bars Serving Great Bourbon Cocktails | Eater

"Whether you’re waiting for your ship to come in or simply exploring the coast, stop at Demetri’s Woodstone Taverna, a Main Street gem with a bright and open interior and a patio with views of the water. Keep things light and fresh with local oysters, Manila clams, and spicy mussels, and a Bulleit Bourbon on the rocks, or lean into a darker day with a Grey Sky cocktail (Bulleit Bourbon, Earl Grey tea simple syrup, muddled blackberries) and a lamb burger with feta, harissa and tzatziki on a brioche bun." - Vox Creative

Nicci was super sweet. Epic sunset views. Nice drinks with a big ice cube and St. Germaine sour lime mix with salt. Delicious Kobe Beef Sliders. Yummy Clam Chowder Bread Bowl. Awesome sunset vibe

Really enjoyed my salmon. My partner had the steak bowl and was less excited about the beans and rice, but still loved the steak. Great location. Big fan. Might come back one day

Google
So glad we found this gem in such a stunning location. The vibe, views, and overall experience were fantastic. The drinks were spot on, and the Caprese flatbread was our favorite dish, fresh and flavorful. We also really enjoyed the firecracker shrimp and the halibut, both well prepared and delicious. The key lime pie for dessert was the perfect finish, with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely going back again. I’d suggest going during the sunset.

I was very happily surprised by Dimitri’s Tavern! The decor is incredibly unique, creating a fun and memorable atmosphere. We were lucky to snag a last-minute reservation on a busy Friday night when the sun was out and everyone seemed to be looking for a spot. Despite the crowd, we were able to sit outside with the heaters on, which made for a cozy experience. The place was packed, and our server was clearly overworked, so service was a bit slower, but we completely understood given how busy it was. That said, the food more than made up for it—everything was absolutely delicious. We started with the flatbread and roasted cauliflower, both of which I would highly recommend. The scallops and crab dip were fantastic, and the sliders were simply divine. I also tried the whiskey flight, which was a perfect choice for keeping warm. One small downside is the train that passes by, but the view of the water still makes up for it. The restaurant is clean, the staff is super friendly, and the menu offers a wide variety of reasonably priced options. The only other thing to keep in mind is parking—it’s street parking, so you may need to hunt for a spot. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Google
Craving a tasty brunch in Edmonds? This place has you covered! Their ancient grain bowls are seriously good, and they've got amazing flatbreads and a ton of tapas to choose from. Plus, it's right on the waterfront with indoor/ outdoor seating and views. Super easy to get to with plenty of street parking and eight spots behind the restaurant. Relax and enjoy!

Google
This is an odd place. We’ve been many times and have just never really figured them out. A lot of their food is pretty good. The Poke Nachos and Empanadas were both great. We've had their flatbreads in the past and they are usually good. The clam chowder though can be gloopy. The outside deck is where you want to sit if the weather cooperates (I hope you like trains because several will pass by and they are LOUD). Otherwise sit in the bar. The main dining room however has always struck us with a strong "cafeteria" or "institutional" feeling and we avoid it. I think it's just too many tables packed in there? The wine I had was good. Other commented that their wine and cocktails were good. The service at our most recent meal there was odd. Everyone we encountered was grumpy or unenthusiastic or just upset. Perhaps the management is being a pain, or it's just not a great place to work. Whatever the cause, we clearly noticed a negative vibe among much of the staff and it wasn't just our table. We had no issue with the staff and we are a very quiet, reserved group, so we don't think it was us. The food, while good, is a bit overpriced for what you get in both quality and quantity but their main attraction, especially in the nice weather months, is tourism so I guess they aren't too worried about repeat customers. Don't get me wrong, we do like them. Their location is great! We commute on the ferry a lot so we'll be back, but we do wish that they would figure out how to remedy their weird dining room, perk the staff up a bit (idea... maybe pay them more?!), and up the food a touch to match the prices.

Google
We had a lovely dinner here. There's an incredibly wide variety of options to choose from. We had the bacon wrapped dates, brussel sprouts, Greek salad and several other dishes. All we're tasty.

Google
I could not recommend the smoked salmon benedict more! It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! We had a very large group and they were accommodating and had super quick service.

Yelp
Great spot on Main near ferry. Nice patio for summer dining. Friendly staff and very positive busy vibe. Took my servers advice and ordered the mussels dripping in an excellent creamy curry sauce. Very fresh seafood and a huge selection of dishes to choose from. Normally that would turn me off but everything looked really good Highly recommends

Yelp
What a cute place at an amazing location right by the water next to the ferry. Gorgeous! Not only do they have lots of space inside but there is also a large outdoor patio. I met here with my coworkers for lunch on a Sunday. Yes it was busy there. And the waitress was stressed and absolutely NOT friendly at all. It took a long time to get any orders in and food out. It's hard to truly judge the food when service is that bad. I'll start with dessert since that was the highlight. Key lime pie: 4/5. Mexican donuts with caramel sauce: 3/5: caramel sauce ruined the donuts. They seemed freshly made, not too sweet and kinda chewy texture. They could be 5/5 with a good sauce! Chocolate chip and oatmeal cookie with ice cream: 5/5 worth it!! Chocolate mousse cake: 4/5 Creme brûlée: 4/5 very smooth texture, sugar was too burnt but nice and thin. Food: Brie and apples: 2/5 too sweet, wish there was more Brie than apples. Pear Gorgonzola prosciutto flatbread: 4/5. Very good except the Canned pears?? Brunch Paella: 4/5: lots of meat, rice is crispy which I like. Served with 4 sunny side up eggs. $60 though?? However it is big enough for 2-4 people depending on your portion size. Firecracker shrimp: 5/5 this was my favorite! Calamari: 5/5 very good, not greasy. Served with a delicious tangy cilantro lime sauce. Fries: 5/5. Cos-no-politan: 1/5. $12 for 4oz of watered down juice with lime. Waste of money.

Yelp
We came in here with a group of 14 fit a friends birthday and they were incredibly accommodating for our reservation in putting tables together, bringing the cake out to us and cutting it and serving it, and allowing us to pay for our meals separately. The food here was quite good. The Brussel sprouts were quite good and everyone lived the shrimp (I'm allergic so i couldn't say). We loved our sandwiches and my husband added and egg to his burger which he said was cooked perfectly

Yelp
This place is an edmonds classic! It's in a beautiful location right on the water, the food is delicious and portions are good. They have a very versatile menu there's something for everyone. Service is always sweet and efficient. Definitely recommend for a nice dine in experience.

Yelp
came here late on Father's day! Great service and food was wonderful, GF fish and Chips! was able to sit outside! was just beautiful and friendly! Have already recommended to a friend and would come again!
google avatar

Meiling W.

Yelp
The food here continues to be amazing and priced well. I'm from out of town, Hawaii to be exact, and since being introduced to the place a year ago we've been back 2 more times. You've got to get their gyros!!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food, friendly service, great variety for lunch and brunch. Indoor and outdoor seating that is comfortable. Great view of the Edmonds waterfront and Ferry. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Carlos D.

Yelp
Food was delicious and our server was so nice and informative. We sat in covered patio. My only negative of the dining experience was that there it sits next to train tracks and the train passes by every few minutes making a conversation a bit hard to hear. I still highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back here with family and friends

Alison N.

Yelp
Food was super meh. Probably closer to 2 stars for price and quality of food. The train careening by was also not good for a sensory sensitive friend. But, it's Edmonds - on the water! My mom loved it - but she is super to please. Service was good for how busy they were. Will probably go back - but set my expectation lower.

Yelp
Came by on a Tuesday afternoon and got seated at a table outside right away. They have heaters which make it nice and cozy! The calamari appetizer was very tender and delicious, and I got the ancient grains bowl which I ended up boxing half of to take home. The restaurant is right on the waterfront by the ferry and railroad, so it's fun to watch the happenings but be prepared for some traffic noise here and there
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice place! The staff were quick to seat us, kind, and very helpful. There were 8 of us and we were seated in this nice little private room. EVERYTHING that everyone ordered was excellent, even the kids meals were enjoyed by our little ones. The pear-Gorgonzola flatbread was good but more like a dessert. Great shopping areas right around there in downtown Edmonds.

Yelp
It's unassuming from the outside, but warm and inviting inside. Amber lighting, and interesting seating - a few round or 1/2 moon corner booths, and a deck with a view of Brackett's Landing. It was quite full tonight, but not particularly noisy. Good acoustics, maybe. A nice place to dine alone, or with friends. A bit more sophisticated than some of the nearby family-friendly places. My friend & I both had the beet salads- mine with the additional chicken breast. Reasonably priced and tasty. The cloth napkin was a nice touch - something that's become anachronistic, but makes a difference. If I had one complaint, it would be: why not a cotton rather than the polyester napkin that was coarse and non-absorbent? Good job, Demetris.

Yelp
I went in and sat at the bar for a quick lunch. the restaurant was about half full, with plenty of seats at the bar. Bartender took an order of the couple who sat down next to me, then walked away without acknowledging my existence. So I returned to the hostess and asked to place an order to go. The whole vibe from the staff felt unwelcome. When one hostess left to place my to-go order the other hostess apologized, which is why I give 2 stars to an otherwise disappointing experience. The so-called 'flatbread' was ok. It was more like a $25 personal-size west coast pizza, on a thick and gooey undercooked bread -- not crust, not flakey at all -- definitely not a flatbread. I understand the premium pricing, being next to the ferry terminal, but with such poor service, and food that was just meh, I see no reason to ever visit this restaurant again.

Tong David H.

Yelp
Randomly came here with some friends. Let me start with the hostess. VERY RUDE. Not a good start. Seemed very annoyed with us. Oh well. Once we got seated it was okay. Our server wasn't as bad but wasn't very happy serving us. Very whatever with us. Anyways. The food was Mid. The ambiance was nice. The decor was cute. But the service and the welcome face when we walked in was just bad. We won't be coming back here. I get better service an McDonald's. Very disappointing for a place on the waters of Edmonds. Ps the steak was seasoned nicely.
google avatar

Harynn K.

Yelp
We went there on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. We'er a family of six so we were expecting some wait. Surprisingly they were able to seat us quick five minutes after we went in. We ordered a bunch of different things like tuscan chicken (i think thats what its called), salmon, firecracker shrimp, bruschetta, Alfredo fettuccine, and some steak. We also ordered the seafood basket which went quick. I had the tuscan chicken and I cleaned the plate. Another thing we would recommend is either the salmon or the steak my brothers really enjoyed. Overall the inside ambiance is great too. Slightly dimmed lights with some light. We were able to get a table where there were direct lights over us.

Yelp
The restaurant boasts outdoor seating with stunning views and sunsets. It's a warm, comfortable, and inviting spot for patrons. The Oyster Shooters were great which comes in a pair of oyster shots served with house-made cocktail sauce. We got 3 flatbreads and a side of the spicy Ahi Poke Nachos. The flatbreads are easily shared but get your own if you are hungry and don't want to share but sharing is the best way here! The Raw Ahi Tuna marinated in sweet soy ginger sauce, topped with sriracha aioli, avocado, and more, served over crispy tortilla chips. The flatbreads have a home-made dough baked in their woodstone oven. Various options to choose from and we liked them all. Every dish that walked by our table looked so inviting so I will be back to try more. The service was exceptional as well.

Yelp
I like the environment. The lobster roll is not very good. All the meat not from lobster body. Other dishes are good.

Alicia G.

Yelp
we loved this place! Mallory was amazing! she was so kind and went above and beyond! we will be back.
google avatar

Michaela D.

Yelp
A little pricey, but absolutely for good reason- plus the seafood prices are pretty reasonable comparing around, seafood is just pricey right now. Anyway, best lobster roll I've ever had. Biting into the roll took me to the beach and I absolutely savored every bite. Cleaned my plate of the fries, which had several different flavor options. From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious, and being right by the water is a great plus.

Tatyana R.

Yelp
Always so busy but so worth it!!! I love the firecracker shrimp and roasted brussel sprouts. My husband loves the crispy chicken sandwich.
google avatar

Dave G.

Yelp
Three of us went here for the first time today to try it out. It was 2 pm and not very busy. The greeter came up after a couple of minutes and took us to our table. I got the feeling she wanted to be somewhere other than work because she was not friendly and had no smile or social skills whatsoever. She showed us our table, dropped the menus, and walked away without a word. The server was the complete opposite, though, and very friendly and upbeat. The food came out fast, and everything was delicious. I ordered the fish tacos, which were two tacos with a choice of salmon, tuna, or cod. I wanted to sample a couple of different fish but was told I could only have one kind of fish for my plate, which I felt was a little odd. Most places that serve fish tacos let you mix and match. I chose the salmon and they were delicious! The Chipotle aeoli and mango salsa was an excellent topping! Also at the table we ordered fish and chips and a tuna avocado sandwich. Both were very good. Go try this place out and see what you think!

Yelp
Located by the Edmonds waterfront, ferry terminal, and Brackett's Landing parks, Demetris Woodstone Taverna is at a prime location for stellar business. We arrived in a group of 13 for a 1pm lunch. I never expect service to be spectacular when there are so many of us. But credit to the server, Heide W, we all thought she did a great job. We each got our own checks, too. That's a lot to manage. Well done. We ordered from the lunch menu. The place isn't cheap given the address. Other than small bites, there's nothing under $20. Just a heads up. The deco is old-school seaside decorated. It's not my thing, but it matches the address. The place is big and good for groups. The Food: Firecracker Shrimp Po Boy Roll, $25 - 3 Stars Menu: Firecracker Shrimp, house po boy remoulade sauce, tomato, onion, and romaine The sandwich itself was terrific, like 2000 calories kind of naughty terrific. It was a lot greaser than I anticipated. Fried shrimps (as expected), remoulade sauce (greasy, creamy, as expected), I missed the detail that the bun is also soaked in butter and pan seared. So good, yet so bad for me. Doh. The sandwich is maybe 3.5 or 4 stars. The house cut fries, on the other hand, were cold. How does a busy restaurant that serves fries with nearly every dish serve cold fries? I rolled my eyes at them and put my half-bitten fry back down. I am very picky with my fries. Well, I figured the sandwich already exceeded my week's allowance for grease, so I didn't bother to alert the server. The fries went home to be heated instead. 1 Star for the fries. 3 Stars for the meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Right next to the ferry terminal, you will find this great little gem of a spot. They have an extensive menu and the po boy shrimp sandwich called for me and I had to get it. The sandwich arrived with a toasted brioche bun (think lobster roll) and it was filled with hot, crispy, creamy and spicy shrimp. It was really good and made me wish there was a double order size option! I went with a side salad instead of the typical fries and it was really good for a side salad. was expecting some dark leafy greens and side of dressing, but it came with so much more. fresh raspberries and apples along with blue cheese crumbles and candied pecans! It was a great salad. The only thing I would ask differently on the salad next time is request the vinaigrette on the side. It was slightly overdressed, but that won't stop me from ordering it again. I can't wait to come back again!

Emily N.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! We went 3 times while visiting Seattle. Everything was so good and the staff was sooooo nice. Will definitely be back!! Ps. Get the baked Brie
google avatar

Mary W.

Yelp
Great food! Gyro sliders and crab dip, split with a friend. We had a fabulous waiter, and the ambiance was really nice. It was a little chilly sitting in the bar, but I think it's because the door to patio was open. Love the crown royal flare and the trains going by. My grandma loved this place and I now know why.

Yelp
We had a lovely experience for dinner after work. Mike was a very knowledgeable and great server! I appreciated his positive attitude and sense of humor! His recommended drinks were spot on! Will absolutely be back!
google avatar

Alyssa L.

Yelp
Less than 20 minute wait on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Drinks were great, service was excellent. Mike served us and made our night a memorable one!

Susie M.

Yelp
Wow, everything I've ordered from the tapas menu is AMAZING! Firecracker shrimp, steak bites, calamari, shucked oysters, kobe beef sliders, crispy brussel sprouts, spicy poke ahi nachos all are delicious! House rose wine was so good. Crème brûlée was yummy too. Really nice to sit on the deck, see the water, they have heat lamps, screens and mini fire pits at some tables. Have been here twice, would definitely recommend and go back again.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
I have come here a few times in large groups. I know large groups are hard, so I always like to take the service with a grain of salt. The first time we came, we had great service even though we had a large group. The second time left some to be desired. I have gotten the dueling claws roll each time I have come. The sandwich is a good balance of crab and lobster and tastes great. Would come again for the sandwich!
google avatar

Krista T.

Yelp
We went for lunch. Service was excellent, menu was pretty big and had great variety! We shared some tapas, a flight of juice with the house bubbly to make our own mimosas (highly recommend!), and was gifted fresh mini donuts for the whole table for my birthday! It was a great birthday lunch experience! I only gave 4 stars because my roasted cauliflower didn't taste very roasted--it was pretty "raw" tasting still. Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries were awesome and my friend loved her crab roll sandwich. I'd definitely return and I would love to try their brunch.
google avatar

Terry-Jo L.

Yelp
Food was spectacular! I had the Dueling Claws crab and lobster roll! It was to die for!!!! Also the cocktails were fun. I had the Pineapple Whisky Sour. It was highly recommended by our AMAZING server Mike (aka: Vin Diesel) and he was not wrong!!! I also enjoyed the Baked Brie and Apples Tapas. The dish was very delicious and was shared around our table. We had a little private dining area that was beautiful. Can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu!
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
This was a great spot recommended by a local so we stopped in. We sat at the bar area. They were pretty busy for a Sunday night but sat us pretty quick. The wait staff was very grand upbeat. We ordered beer and a couple of appetizers. We tried the oyster shots and a plate of the different oysters. They were all really good. The shots were our favorite though. We also tried the cauliflower appetizer and it was really Flavian's delicious. Next time the waitress recommended trying the Brussels sprouts which we definitely will. Overall, great atmosphere and food.

Yelp
Party of Six !! With a staggered arrival at about 6:30. A large table on a sunny deck with sound view. Deck seating at capacity and all smiles. No water, but 3 menus each. We bounced some choices off each other and our charming & capable waiter made mental notes and reappeared with beverages. A short wait and he returned with 6 entrees. While we enjoyed ourselves the whistle blew. Train passed next to us as T kept talking (ASL)the rest of us drowned out. My Shrimp Sliders were zesty with a crunch. But I specifically said No Fries No complaints from our team. Separate checks provided. Note: They add 3% fee for the restaurant. If it had been raining I would have contested.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Sat on the patio and got to watch the train go past. Such a great atmosphere. Food was delicious as always. Definitely will be going back!
google avatar

Jill D.

Yelp
What a 5 star experience at this restaurant tonight. Blew away my expectations when I walked in and it was packed out. MIKE is the best server in Edmomds-- hands down Seated immediately, served drinks and apps within 15 minutes, with Mike doing constant (perfectly timed) check-ins to make sure we were always taken care of. I will come back to this restaurant only because of Mike
google avatar

Claire D.

Yelp
Mike was absolutely incredible!! He took care of our table so well, and made sure to come back multiple times to ask if the food was good. Also, so QUICK with bringing out the food. We are definitely coming back. Mike is the best.

Yelp
This little taverna is located right in the heart of downtown Edmonds with the most breathtaking view of the water and mountains. If you have friends or family in town and want to give them a "wow" of a time, look no further than Demetris! My friends took me here while I was in Seattle and it was definitely the spot to go for a view!! Surprisingly, this little outdoor area was warmer than it was inside the restaurant - what a win! Not only that but we got the most beautiful view of the water and mountains, but we were here throughout sunset and it was absolutely stunning. We got to see it all meanwhile we were sipping on our drinks and having a blast. Drinks are a bit pricey but definitely worth it, I got the mocktail and loved it! I got the Number 94 and it was absolutely delicious! I typically don't get any drink but I was pretty pressured so.. I landed on this little number and sucked it down as fast as I could.. So. Good. It was the perfect amount for me and my friends go here all the time so it was no shocker that they loved it. One of them says she is a regular and goes here almost weekly with her family because they like it so much! Last time I was in Seattle we came here and got food and I remember being thoroughly impressed with it. It's definitely a locals favorite for a reason! We also enjoyed the service and felt very well taken care of. This place has a great, chill and relaxed vibe to it and is great for friends, family, business, etc. What a spot - would 100% recommend Demetris!

Yelp
I want to say 3.5 stars but that's not an option. Everything was slightly above average.. and would have been great if they had added seasoning to each item. Price is kind of average for WA, slightly high, but I will say the portion is surprisingly big. Family friendly: yes Parking: yes, small lot and loads of street parking Pet friendly: No FOOD: 1) Firecracker Shrimp Po Boy Roll (Firecracker shrimp, house po boy remoulade sauce, tomato, onion, & romaine) $25: 3 Stars - I wanted to really like this since I love Po Boys but I've had better. I've also had worse so this is middle of the road. The shrimp pieces are medium, which was slightly disappointing but the fry on them were pretty good but did lack seasoning. Considering its their "firecracker" shrimp I was expecting a kick but I got none. The best thing was the remoulade sauce. 2) D's Burger (2 of our custom blended pepperoni, cheddar & beef patties, Cheddar, tomato, lettuce, applewood smoked bacon, serrano aioli on a brioche bun, topped with an onion ring. Served with house cut fries) $22: 3 Stars - The hamburger patties was moist or maybe I should say fatty but good LOL The bacon was thick and crispy which was great. I didn't taste the serrano aioli at all and the big o' onion on top looked a little light in color and was pretty greasy. This is a man-meat burger LOL 3) Seafood Basket (Coconut shrimp, Calamari, Oyster bites, salmon bites, cod, and house made fries served with house made Tartar sauce and Serrano aioli) $35: 3 Star - Overall this was a huge basket of food. I like the diverse selection of seafood. Most of it had a great coating and great fry but some pieces were kind of greasy. Overall there was a lack of seasoning. 4) Pasta Bar - create your own pasta dish $19: This was a pretty huge plate of pasta and overall, not bad but again just a lack of seasoning. DRINKS: 1) Terrazas de Los Andes Altos Del Plata (Malbec 2019, Mendoza, Argentina) Bottle $36: I'm very particular with it comes to when as I don't have a refine palette. It was a good bottle of red but no idea if it made a difference that they gave us a bottle of 2021 vs. 2019. RESTAURANT MENU: I want to say this place is a Greek-Mediterranean-PNW-Water theme - like it really doesn't know what it wants to be LOL. Immediate outside the main doors is a giant sasquatch wood carving and when you walk in, the waiting area is very blue with metal mermaid silhouettes. The rest of the restaurant is didn't have a lot of décor but had a lot of wood paneling everywhere. What I thought was very cool was the wood fire oven they had in the back of the restaurant. The menu is like their "theme" as in it couldn't decide. They have some gyro, burgers, "flatbread"/pizza, seafood baskets, pasta, etc. I will say, it has something for everyone with the exception of Vegan or Vegetarian and if you were, the pasta bar would be your only real option. SERVICE: Everyone was polite, sometimes friendly, but I can say everyone seemed to be in a rush. The host, which may have been the floor manager, sat us quickly but didn't really speak to us. The waitress was friendly and did check in on us but she wouldn't stay long enough to answer more than one question or take one order before she was running off again...

Yelp
OK, so we go here on a whim because it's wafer front in Edmonds, which we were expecting a fantastic meal because it's prime time location. Unfortunately, it was not the best, I had a burger which was fine. You can't go wrong with a burger. We also split a apple Brie pizza, which kind of tasted like a apple pie. I would not recommend. Overall, I was pretty let down by the experience, the food was not spectacular, and may be over priced the wait staff were all right. The ambience and the view were great though. Rooting for this place though!

Yelp
Only giving three stars because I only ate the garlic fries for happy hour and had the moscowl mule. Fries were soggy. I like my fries to be crunchy, but that's just my preference. Maybe some people like them softer. The mule was ok. It wasn't amazing. Was your standard moscowl mule. Also, it was a bummer that they were out of a few of the cocktails on the menu because I wanted to try something fun. But maybe next time! Service was good. We got to sit at a nice large table outside and it happened to be sunny out which was great! The outside seating definitely has a great water view of the beach and ferry loading. Although, keep in mind that the train tracks are only a couple feet from the restaurant so I would advise sitting inside if you come here for a date night. Train is quite loud:) In the end, I would come back to try some more things on the menu to get more of a full dining experience. The inside ambiance is cute and fun and beachy.

Yelp
A friend and I came in for dinner and were able to get seated right away. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, so it was a great experience to feel so welcomed and never rushed despite the fact that we sat at our table for a decent chunk of time after finishing our food. Speaking of food, I ordered the ahi tuna tacos and The Grinch drink (not pictured). The drink somehow perfectly encapsulates the Grinch into beverage form - it's fresh and bright but also felt weighed down at the same time - we asked for some club soda to freshen it up a bit more and it helped to tone down the artificial taste of one of the syrups in it. The tuna tacos were delicious! I really enjoyed them and would likely get them again in the future. Fries are also good - I'm always a fan of the softer, flavorful fries, so they were a win for me.

Yelp
Sub par food; great company. (Breakdown of score: 2 stars for food and plus one for company). My litmus test for a good restaurant is it's basics; can you do a pizza and a burger well? Unfortunately, I felt like I was eating an apple pie not a pizza. Burger was good though and came with a cute onion ring cap Service was decent, we had a kind waitress who was very nice to me and the baby (20w3d). I'm eating for two right now and she was accommodating to the fetus Ambience was the star of the show, the back porch is heated and so we got to be outside on a chilly march day

Yelp
Food was ok, server did not know where seafood came from, just said everything was "farmed". Took more than 1/2 hour to even get someone to take our drink order. Plates were never cleared, we would have considered dessert but that menu never came or even offered. The chairs were wicker and the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. I really wanted to like this place but glad there are other restaurants nearby.

Yelp
Very overpriced for the quality of the food. Quantity and quality aren't the same thing. Calamari is straight out of a microwaved package. Burger is good but not worth the price. I guess you're paying for the view but you certainly are paying.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick app and beverages! Crab cakes were light and fluffy and the Brie with apple was great. Only call out would maybe be a little bit more Brie on the plate. Otherwise great as always!

Yelp
We were visiting friends in Edmonds and they really like Demetria and insisted we go there one evening for dinner. We had been there a few years ago and found it to be inconsistent and there are lots of really good restaurants in Edmonds. Cocktails and appetizers were OK. Nothing special. I had fish and chips for dinner. The fish was over-battered and undercooked. The fries were the standard bought in big bags and fried, not hand-cut or fresh. No need to bother with dessert. Honestly, both Arnies and Anthony's just down the street have similar menus and way better food, plus they are right on the water. Rory's has a cozier atmosphere and better pub-menu food. E Pulo is a big step above Demetri's in all respects - menu options, cocktails, quality of food. Niles Peacock has the best sourdough pizza you'll ever have in the USA. On our next visit to Edmonds we won't visit Demetri's.
