5 Parisian Hotels That Double as Culinary Experiences

"The opulent La Demeure Montaigne, located just off the Avenue Montaigne, may represent a mélange of eras, but what it offers today’s guests is modern amenities and exquisite details, including spacious rooms and Italian marble showers. Guests can take part in a serene spa and swimming pool, as well as on-site L'Envolée, a courtyard, glass-roofed restaurant led by Chef Grégory Réjou, whose team is creating French classic dishes in an open kitchen setting." - The MICHELIN Guide

La Demeure Montaigne (Paris, Île-de-France) 4 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s not every day a new hotel opens in the top tier of the Parisian hospitality market, and when it does, it’s big news. La Demeure Montaigne takes its name from its location, just off the Avenue Montaigne, and from its atmosphere — however opulent it may be, this Haussmannian mansion retains a distinct residential aspect that makes it all the more improbable that such a place should exist, especially on a side street so close to so many of the city’s most desirable locations." - Tablet Hotels

Loved every minute of this stay. When we arrived, Arturo made us feel at home. We had to wait a bit for the room due to our early arrival, but it was no big deal. We then were taken to our lovely room. It had a balcony with street view and was clean. We can't complain. It was perfect. Especially close to the attractions we wanted to see.

Our stay was incredibly perfect in this wonderful hotel. We loved our room so much. All the goodies they left for the children and all the Parisian chocolates really made us feel so welcomed immediately. The room was incredibly well situated for a family of four to enjoy so comfortably and it was immaculately clean, something for me that is so important. And the concierge team and the entire staff were not only so lovely and welcoming but also so helpful with any requests and reservations. And the area was wonderful, close to the Eiffel Tower but nice and quiet when you returned. I will now always stay in this hotel because it truly made our stay so much better. Every night we couldn’t wait to come home and every morning we could wait to wake up in it. So thank you so much, the attention to detail was so appreciated, and made it the perfect home away from home.

My husband and stayed here 2/14/2024 for our anniversary. Everything was amazing the rooms were clean and neat. The front desk was so sweet and the thank you note felt personal. This hotel is very dreamy and romantic. Im

The location is superb – walking distance to most of the main attractions, very safe district, plenty of good restaurants nearby, and just a couple of minutes’ walk to the metro. But honestly, location is the only part that really stands out. The rooms and facilities are good, about what you’d expect from a Parisian boutique hotel. The service, however, was really disappointing – nowhere near 5-star standard, barely 3–4 stars at best. During our stay, we had a terrible experience. After shopping at luxury brands, we asked the store to send our purchases directly to the hotel. When we returned, the concierge told us everything had already been delivered to our room. But when we checked, nothing was there. We went back to ask again, and only then did they realize that all our purchases had been mistakenly delivered to another guest’s room, where they sat for 3–4 hours without anyone noticing. Eventually, they managed to retrieve them for us – luckily the items were intact – but the way the situation was handled was shockingly unprofessional, especially for a 5-star Paris hotel. The concierge, Mr. Jassey, showed one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered in a luxury hotel. On the other hand, the Guest Relations Manager, Kristel, was helpful and did offer us a 30% refund. Still, I believe this kind of mistake and attitude deserves to be shared so that others can judge for themselves before booking.

Didn’t realize it was such a good location until we got there! Plenty of shopping can be done walking distance. High end stores, great restaurants, and the Eiffel Tower is a lot closer than you think. The front desk service was really good & so were the cleaning staff. The bartender William was great to talk to and has some good local recommendation’s. Junior provided over the top service every morning when we’d come down for breakfast. They do have spa/steam room/ sauna/ pool that closes at 10pm to unwind in after a long day of enjoying the city. Would highly recommend

Stopped in for a quick stay. 5 star hotel that lives up to its billing. Service was exceptional. Front desk and bell hops make you feel like you are at home. The best part of our stay was the spa access. We had been traveling for awhile. The steam room, sauna, and pool are included in your stay. We hit that for an hour and were recharged to get back out and see the city. If you are considering it, do it.

La Demeure Montaigne exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel is just a short walk from the Champs-Élysées, making it easy to start sightseeing with the Arc de Triomphe nearby. The property is chic, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The attention to detail in the design stood out - for example, the TV was seamlessly embedded in the mirror, and the barcode for room service was carved into metal, adding to the overall aesthetic. Service was outstanding from start to finish. From Lea at the front desk to Joseph’s helpful guidance, every interaction made our stay more enjoyable. The facilities were excellent as well. The gym and sauna were both great, though the gym was a bit on the smaller side. Breakfast in the atrium was a highlight and absolutely worth it. Overall, our stay was romantic, elegant, and unforgettable. La Demeure Montaigne will be my first choice the next time I visit Paris.
