The location is superb – walking distance to most of the main attractions, very safe district, plenty of good restaurants nearby, and just a couple of minutes’ walk to the metro. But honestly, location is the only part that really stands out.
The rooms and facilities are good, about what you’d expect from a Parisian boutique hotel.
The service, however, was really disappointing – nowhere near 5-star standard, barely 3–4 stars at best. During our stay, we had a terrible experience. After shopping at luxury brands, we asked the store to send our purchases directly to the hotel. When we returned, the concierge told us everything had already been delivered to our room. But when we checked, nothing was there.
We went back to ask again, and only then did they realize that all our purchases had been mistakenly delivered to another guest’s room, where they sat for 3–4 hours without anyone noticing. Eventually, they managed to retrieve them for us – luckily the items were intact – but the way the situation was handled was shockingly unprofessional, especially for a 5-star Paris hotel.
The concierge, Mr. Jassey, showed one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered in a luxury hotel. On the other hand, the Guest Relations Manager, Kristel, was helpful and did offer us a 30% refund. Still, I believe this kind of mistake and attitude deserves to be shared so that others can judge for themselves before booking.
