Demo's Greek Food

Very friendly service in a clean establishment. The menu was easy to read, with plenty of options. Our orders came out in a timely manner and looked awesome! The food was freshly made. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the falafel was good and hot. The tzatziki sauce was delicious...glad we ordered extra! I didn't get a pic of the fries, but they were fresh cut in-house and came out hot and crispy. We were very happy with our experience!

I haven't been here in a good minute. But, let me tell you the flavor was just as good as i remembered it. Always a clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Very friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of parking. The food was a combination plate, chicken. It was so delicious. I love pita bread! $50 for 2 people

Delicious food and very friendly staff! I got an original gyro wrap and it was SO. GOOD. Everything tasted clean and fresh. The fries were hot and actually tasted like potatoes. Overall, this place is awesome and I’ll definitely be going back!!

Whenever I’m in the mood for a gyro, I always go to Demos on Blanco Road. The food is always delicious and hot. I always get an extra side of tzatziki sauce, it is so good.

First time here, it's an OK place. Lots of workers in front, no greeting. It's like subways,but Mediterranean. (Harsh, I know) Experience was barely a 'C' grade. We walked in and no one bothered to assist. Not good for business. Restrooms were uncleaned, tables were un cleaned (hard to fine a clean table). Parking was OK. Free refiles, and the food was OK. Never seen black fries (clean out the grease). High price for ok food. Overall Experience ok.

Demo's is my favorite place to eat at least once per week. Salads are crispy and fresh...ALWAYS. When I have company coming over and I don't want to cook. I order the one or two SAMPLER PLATTER(s) that feeds 3 -6 persons. It's always a big hit. The limeade is so delightful.

Visited on a weekday evening around 7pm and had a great time! You order at the front and pick your food after they call your name. The cashier was super friendly! We ordered the chicken gyro wrap regular, gyro wrap double meat, and pita with hummus. For the regular order, they were super generous with the meat. The double meat wrap was a ton of meat..maybe even too much for our taste, but not a bad thing at all! The side of fries were delicious- not too salty and the right amount of crispiness! There is a ton of seating, and they were playing background music that wasn't too loud. They had holiday snowflakes on the ceiling, and the wall paintings are very reminiscent of Greece! Parking is pletiful and easy. Definitely a great place to grab food that's affordable, filling, and delicious!

I had seen good reviews for demos Greek food before and was looking forward to try it for the first time today before work. I specifically stated if they can put the tzatziki sauce and salad sauce on the side that way it doesn't got soggy since i usually don't eat till hours after starting my shift. I was so disappointed to find that they just left out the sauces in general. The sauce really adds to the meal and i am really upset that it is now so dry including the salad. Like who eats a salad plain and dry? For a steep price of $20 it was not worth it. Very unhappy.

Demo's is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. It's a great place for lunch that is tasty, a good value, and gives you energy for a busy afternoon. Depending on how I feel, I might get a Demo's plate, which has double protein (chicken skewers, gyro, etc.) with a Greek salad, dolma, tzatziki, and pita, or get a dieter's plate (LOL at the name) that has a single serving of protein and no pita, but is still satisfying. The salads are delicious: crisp romaine, feta cheese, oil and vinegar dressing, sliced tomatoes, olives. If you're looking for a heartier meal, the beef mozzarella sandwich is good. Also you can order fries--they are thick cut and browned on the edges. The baklava is a sweet treat for dessert. The limeade goes great with a meal. The dining room can get noisy with the buzz of the lunch crowd and the hard surfaces, but it has a friendly atmosphere. Evenings tend to be a little quieter.

Demos is a great eatery! When you walk in you feel transported to the Greek isles. I love how they play traditional music while you dine in. They also have Greek bands play during the week. Check for dates. I have had many items off of their menu but my favorite is the original gyro. It is ALWAYS served fresh with a yummy side of fries. The gyro is served on a peta with onions, tomatoes and tzatziki. Tzatziki is a great yoghurt, garlic and cucumber sauce. It's is so delicious that I get extra to dip my fries in. The employees always greet you with a smile. The service is fast and friendly. They are always willing to help you choose your meal or help you with what an item is. My food is always hot and quick to come out. This place is a must! Enjoy!

I tried the Spicy Feta Gyro! The spicy feta was really unique, and I haven't seen that offered at other places. The meat serving was generous, which I really appreciate. It seems like it is a family-owned business. The inside decor is beautiful with murals painted on the wall. There is also a few tables outside! The spicy feta adds a kick that elevates the entire experience without overpowering the other flavors. Usually wraps can be on the dry side, but this was amazing! I got my food very quickly and, everyone who worked there was very sweet!

Demos great for a quick work lunch! The service was fast and the food is delish. I feel like the Adelphi's appetizer plate was underwhelming I could've done without. I also ordered the micro lunch gyro lamb. It came with two hefty sides. Four lunch specials, an app, and 2 baklavas and we kept it under 100 bucks.

Great experience here. There is plenty of seating and portions are generous. All wraps come with thick cut fries. Love that they have micro size wraps which combined with fries is certainly a full meal. Location is decorated like the downtown location with the sky painted and flowers around. Went on a Saturday night and was pretty empty so no wait.

Got the lunch plate (beef), and the food was so freaking good. The gyro, salad and fries were plentiful. The customer service was good and the restaurant was clean. I definitely plan to eat here again!

Demo's always hits the spot for a fast, fresh Greek meal. My favorite are the gyro or falafel plates they come with a giant Greek salad with feta, pita bread and a dolma. The dolmas are so good and taste homemade. They also have kabobs and Greek lasagna. They also have affordable wines by the glass. The tzatziki sauce is so good because it is thick and has a really nice garlicky flavor that pairs so well with the gyro. The food is always ready really fast, and for being a Greek place they have really yummy French fries.

Honestly, I'm upset I haven't eaten here sooner. The prices aren't bad and the people are nice. I did curbside pickup but I couldn't wait until I got home to eat it because it smelled so good. The wrap I got was extremely flavorful and so good. As I was eating it, I was trying to come up with something I could say about it for the review and I literally could not think of anything because I was so into this gyro wrap #liveinthemoment The spanakopita was amazing. It's spinach and feta cheese baked in filo. bro. 10/10 appetizer. The crispy filo paired with the soft feta cheese and spinach filling created a ridiculously delicious combo. ‍

I have loved this place for years, you can't beat the food. I visited earlier in the week and was able to order quickly, however the guy at the register was also having to take online and phone orders. Ok, that's a little rude, but whatever. I ordered and was given my drink and waited.While I waited, dine in customer after customer received their orders who ordered after me, several online orders were picked up, ok, maybe they ordered before me....nope. I asked three of them what time they ordered and it was all within the last 15 - 20 minutes. I had already been waiting over 30 minutes for a to go wrap. I get that it's crazy busy, but you seriously have to have a better system in a restaurant this loved and this busy. Why in the world isn't there a LINE of online and to go order cooks and preppers ????? The only way I finally got my order is the guy behind the counter looked at me and raised his eyebrows like "She's still here?" Yep, I was. I love you Demo's but please......do better. 45 minutes for a to go wrap is ridiculous. First come first serve or hire cooks and preppers who only do to go and online. You can afford it.

We wanted to eat something other than typical fast food but we didn't have a lot of time. Erika was wonderful! We walked in a few mins after the lunch special ended but she still let us order it. We really appreciated that since we got a bit lost trying to find the place . The food was great! We just wish that the serving of meat wasn't so small. Our pita was a lot of bread in need of more meat. The meat itself was very flavorful though! The cucumber sauce was great also. The fries weren't as fresh as we'd have liked but after they'd let us order the lunch specials we didn't want to complain. The salad was tossed in a light dress & tasted very good. Most of all, we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The music & the murals on the walls made us want to plan a trip to Greece!

Stopped in for lunch with my fiancé for the first time and this place did not disappoint. I was craving a salad and some protein so this obviously hit the spot. My fiancé go the gyro plate which was delicious and we also ordered spanakopita (which isn't pictured) but was very tasty. We also ordered a side of doma and it was so fresh and flavorful. Definitely will be going because the service we received was awesome. Very nice cashiers and they greeted us as soon as we walked in and thanked us on our way out.

ALL Demo's locations are welcoming, super clean and inviting, ALL provide top notch service! But let's talk about the FOOD! Been going to Demo's since 1980, and the amazing thing is, it's ALWAYS DELICIOUS! Literally, I have ordered EVERYTHING on their menu, and EVERYTHING is perfectly prepared! From the Dolmas, to Salaya Wraps, plenty for vegetarians to enjoy. The meat? From Gyros to fish, ALL authentic and AMAZING ! DoorDashed or in person for authentic Greek atmosphere, you won't be sorry! The original AND the BEST!

Before heading to the comedy club across the interstate, we decided to stop by this establishment. At the bar, we placed our orders, and they promptly called out our names when the food was ready, which took about 5 minutes. I opted for the gyro meat, which came with a Greek salad, and also ordered pita bread and spanakopita. The gyro meat impressed me with its rich flavor and tenderness, while the pita was warm and fluffy. The salad was fresh and crisp, generously adorned with chunks of feta and red onion. On the other hand, I found the spanakopita somewhat lacking in flavor, tasting plain and lacking substance. Despite that, if you're looking for a quick bite with homemade tastes, this is the place to go.

We did a take out order. The falafels were interesting. Different from any I have had before. The food was pretty good. Good service, friendly folks. A tad pricey.

I was craving Greek food and this was the closest to me with best reviews. The gyro and lamb was fresh & tender however the salad a a bit too bitter for my liking. I didn't care for the raw red onions either. The pita bread was delicious & fresh. Customer service was good could be friendlier, you just go to the front and order then they call your name when your order is ready. The decor was super cute & felt on scene.

Quick Greek Mediterranean Food at its finest. Love this place for some lunch. Service is always given with a smile and they offer a military discount!! Seating area is very simple and down to earth. We shared the specialty platter which had a variety of dishes with authentic tastes. Love the salad and gyros with fresh cut fries. All so good. Easily go back there again and again.

The gyros for Demo's are some of my favorites. If you order off the lunch menu, it comes with a small Greek salad and fries. Quite frankly, it is a pretty good portion for lunch. Today's order was ready for pickup very quickly and their service was excellent. In fact, I have never had bad service at Demo's. I love their restaurant atmosphere, but as is the case with many places now, I haven't eaten there in a while. In my opinion, this is one of the better gyro places and one to always come back.

Yummy food, quick service, nice ambiance. Nice for a casual date night or lunch. Had the gyros and fries. Love the decor and paintings inside to make you feel like you're dining on a Grecian courtyard

Demo's is always a great place for lunch, I have not had anything on the menu to complain about. It has become one of our go to places when we want something that feels light but filling!

I've been to this Demo's location twice this year during the pandemic... First time was because I wasn't able to get through the St. Mary's location over the phone after trying several times, and honestly it was about the same distance to either location so Blanco won that deal. This was take out and everything was great. Second visit was more recently. We pretty much get the same thing when we visit Demo's... I love the Sampler plate! The Sampler includes: Greek salad (huge Greek salad, like half the plate), dolmas, gyro slices, chicken and beef souvlaki, onions, tomatoes, spanakopita (spinach pie), tiropita (feta cheese pie), pita & tzatziki. It's the perfect way to get a little bit of everything! Although I prefer the St. Mary's location with the two stories, outdoor patio, and being right across from the Greek orthodox church... everyone at this location is very friendly and accommodating to make sure I had everything I needed to have a great experience. I've also been to this location several other times over the years. I love Greek food... and you can't go wrong with Demo's Sampler plate!

Updated Review for COVID-19: I was so excited to hear that this location of Demo's was open for dine-in! Let's be honest, a gyro and fries doesn't sit well in a Styrofoam box! We went here for lunch on a weekend and saw that there was outdoor dining available and that all tables inside were well spaced out. All staff were wearing masks and we received single use cutlery and condiments with our meal. I opted for the lunch special which comes with a gyro pita sandwich, Greek salad and fries. Just as good as a remember! I love how fresh all of the ingredients are and that you can always count on the flavors and quick service. We enjoyed our food al fresco at one of the picnic bench tables set up outside. If you like Greek food/Demo's - definitely check out this restaurant and support them!

It's been a while since I've been to Demo's because I have moved away. It was my favorite place for a gyro and fries back when I was in high school. I'm glad to say it still tastes great and I recommend the lunch special for the right portions of everything. Thanks for a trip down memory lane...

The service is amazing. I have been a customer for the last two years. Great food and convenient location. They have great lunch specials that include a gyro, fries and drink. The baklava is so good.

Great Greek goodness!!! Today my husband and I happened to run into this place as we were driving. We were heading to another restaurant and tried here instead. We were NOT disappointed. We walked into and were automatically greeted with a happy greeting. We looked at the giant menu. My husband tried the chicken demo plate of yes and more please!!!! The chicken kabobs were succulent and flavorful with the softest pita bread of existence! My husband says it's the best pita he has had so far! We're on the expedition of finding the best Greek food and this is number one! He had a delicious salad to top it all off! His plate was empty afterwards. I had the chicken pita of ooo la la!!!! The chicken was wrapped in the softest pita bread! It had flavors untold and the freshest taste in San Antonio! 43 years of goodness!!! The side salad had its own ballad of colorful taste! Everything complimented each other from the dressing to the feta and the sea of crisp lettuce! Did I mention the freshly squeezed limeade of love?! I had never tasted limeade of love before but it's here in the heart of Texas! Thank you for your cheerful service, clean restaurant and food for our bellies!!! We will be back!!!

The food was great as always with demos, I recommend their gyro wrap to anyone who hasn't tried it. I went in and it's always a great vibe, with great people. Service was excellent and I got my order within a couple minutes.

This is my second time visiting this location and both times were consistently good. I ordered a chicken wrap and a steak wrap both deluxe style. They normally come with fries but this time I ordered them without because I was just craving the wrap. However, I did order fries on my previous visit and they were very yummy, especially with the tzatiki sauce. Both of the regular size wraps are a very good size with ample salad and protein inside. I had placed my order of the phone and my order was ready when I walked in the restaurant. They staff was very friendly and the food is very good. So this place is a win win. Not to mention very reasonable prices. I will definitely be back again when I need my Greek fix because they did not disappoint.

I tried this place out for lunch on a recommendation from a work friend. We actually had lunch from here together. Their gyros and pitas come in different sizes and different toppings depending on what you select. I went for a deluxe regular gyro wrap and it was really tasty. The place itself is really cute and gives the vibe that you transported to Mikonos when you walk in. I have to go back and try the rest of their menu soon. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good gyro/greek food. 10/10!!

While there, we ordered a salad, that was described as "olives, tomatoes, cucumbers". The salad came out and I asked about the lack of "olives," and was told only one olive came on the small salad. I pointed out the board didn't say that. She gave me ONE extra olive. By the time I was eating my food she came out behind the counter and altered the board to add in sharpie "one olive". So petty. And really, if you are that strapped for olives, maybe you need a different accountant. Food good. Service/customer service bad.

Extremely disappointed because the food is good but the service is terrible. I was left on hold for over 15 minutes. Now I understand, they were busy at the time of my call but the young man who took my call left the phone off the hook and after he was done assisting multiple people, he continued to BS with another worker. After 15 minutes and 20 seconds, I hung up and called back. He answered again and tried to put me on hold again. I spoke to his manager and she wasn't much help either! I drove over 15 minutes wanting greek food and got nothing.

After an hour if my daughter and her BFF taking hundred of pictures, my wife opted to have some Greek. To keep in compliance with the governance, we opted to eat outside - her choice. As other patrons waited on there car for their orders, we patiently sat on the picnic tables in the heat in front of the restaurant. Within minutes our food arrived, and the heat went unnoticed. The gyro was filled with meat, lettuce, feta and onions; and I dove into the goodness. Also, the inconsistent, real potato fries filled the container. I gladly started eating and all of my inhibitions went away. Lacking having a napkin or a fork, my god given gift of fingers did the trick. The gyro was well balanced and moist, and the fries were definitely "old school". Finally, our meal was satisfying and the quality had not changed. Unfortunately, other local establishments have had quality issues, but Demo's is living up to their reputation! Please support local restaurants !

The food is very good and the there's a lot of food on your plate. The restaurant is very clean well cared for- the amount of takeout they do is really a eye opener. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star rating is a simple mistake would not be recognized and corrected. I asked for lamb and gyro meat and received beef instead. It was also delicious, just not what I wanted.

In town for work. Client took me to Demo's. Not bad at all. Lots of options. Fair prices. Decent portions. Ginormous and scrumptious fries. Friendly staff. What's not to like. Thumbs up.

Demo's was really good!! Would of been 5 stars if their dolmathes would of been homemade and not canned.

Gyros were tasty and fresh. Lemon soup was pretty bad. Fries were soggy. Baklava made up for it.

St. Marys location: Food was good, compliments to back of house! Front of house crew not so much. During off-peak time, asked a question about the menu, staff kinda rolled their eyes and gestured towards the menu ("I don't know, dude, I just work here"). Silverware/napkins not provided with the food! You have to find those yourself. Bottle beer was given to me room temperature : / didn't complain, drank my room temperature beer with a smile. Upon leaving, commented about serving warm beer, was told I "Should have asked for a chilled mug" so, that was apparently my fault. Cute interior, respect to the artist painted the walls.

The owner and staff were very friendly and attentive. We like coming here because the Gyros is amazing. I like the lamb with the greek salad. I also had a glass of wine, which was prized reasonably. They renovated the restaurant, which creates a nicer atmosphere. The prices are normal not high.

As always, delicious and fresh food. Service is fast and we did not have to wait more than a few minutes for our order. Big portions for the price. Still remains a family favorite. Never disappoints!

4 stars for a clean place with good food at high prices. The restaurant and staff and managed and operated very well, and it's a breeze ordering. The staff are friendly, and not one person stood around doing nothing; everyone was moving around with a task. The meat is good, though the lunch special could have used a few more strips, as it was mostly vegetables. It's also on the pricier side for what you get. The fries needed salt, but the taste and texture were good. The salad was good, but it's quite pricey as an add-on for a few crumbles of feta, one olive, and one pickled pepper. I would come back because it truly is good food, but I'll have to spring for double meat because the ratio was off for every bite.

Disappointed in my gyro & fries order. The fries tasted reheated & overdone, ate about 4 fries & meat did not taste fresh. Won't be returning.
