I normally eat at the Vietnamese place next door with my family but wanted to give this place a try… i got the stuffed pizza and it was awesome. Never had one but this place sets a really high bar for how pizza/ pizza crust should be like. Thanks for an awesome pizza and the marinara sauce for my son! We will be back!

I recently ordered the veggie pizza from this place, and I was seriously impressed! The pizza was loaded with fresh, flavorful vegetables and had the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. The crust was crisp yet soft just absolutely delicious! On top of that, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and the owner was delightful. Not to mention my pizza was ready in no time. I couldn’t believe how quickly they made it. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving a tasty, well-made veggie pizza with great service!

I really liked the gluten-free crust! To keep it dairy-free, I asked for a veggie pizza without cheese and it was delicious. They use a lot of fresh basil here, which I really liked. My husband got a meat pizza and enjoyed it. He said it was very good and he would eat it again. While we did eat inside, I’d recommend taking this food to go because the interior isn’t intended for sit-down service, but for offering a place to sit and eat if you’re not having take-out.

Cool spot right on Glenwood to grab a slice! And the slices are huge! And super tasty 😋 The guys we work there are really nice and the service is fast!

We've had a lot of pizza in the area, but this by far has been the best I've had. Great pizza, staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere needs some attention, but defiantly not a deal breaker. Will make the 35 minute drive for it again.

I came here with a date because she wanted pizza. We got the Hawaiian pizza with extra Pineapple and Bacon, and it did not disappoint. The 2 men working were great and we had great conversation as well. This is an hour and 50 minutes from me and definitely worth the drive again. The ingredients were fresh and I love how thin and crunchy the crust is, because I barely eat crust and I ate it all. A+++++ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommend!

I love going here for 2 slices of pizza and a drink lunch special. At least I think it's a lunch special. Tried their garlic knots. They were not the best. Definitely needed more marinara. To me chanello's garlic knots is better with way more garlic and more butter. But after reheating the pizza it's pretty good. Like New York style. Next time I'll try a salad or sub and post. 98 sanitation as of 12/20/24

I was my for the first time due to great reviews. Not sure if it was the day that I went but I was not impressed. Being from NY and having amazing pizza this was not it. Try for yourself though. It’s downtown so parking is not the best but I was able to find a spot with no problem near the restaurant

i have sort of a strange comment about this pizza. i got a cheese slice and added olives and peppers - i thought the cheese slice was great! but the green peppers were super slimy and like just not the best and the black olives were massive - just a little iffy about toppings. pizza was great. i'm kind of having the worst acid reflux of my life a few hours later but that could be unrelated...

Sadly, this used to be my favorite pizza place, now it's just average. I think it's because it has new owners. My relationship with the pizza shop is over. The cheese that just came out of the oven did not taste as fresh as it had under the last owners. The taste of the pizza was off and my daughter said her slice was soggy. The wings and blue cheese were good.

I really love how well made the pizza here is. The flavors are balanced, the crust is perfectly baked, and the ingredients are fresh. It is definitely a place worth coming back to.

We ordered the white pizza, caprese sliders, and garlic knots. The sliders were delicious, with a big slice of mozz on each one :) the knots were also good! The pizza. Oh, the pizza. My husband and I are white pizza fanatics. This was amazing. The dollops of ricotta couldn't be any sexier! It isn't my favorite in Raleigh, but it DEFINITELY beats other pizza places. I thought the spinach on it was a nice, unique touch. I will say these slices were huge though (worth every penny!!!). Service was fairly quick and staff were nice.

Super friendly family owned restaurant. On a Saturday around 5pm they were super packed with employees which is hard to find these days. I found the pizzeria to be friendly however my cheese pizza wasn't fresh. Ideally, I would've like it to be cheesier but due to the rush I believe whole pizza orders took precedence over slices. Nevertheless, I'll be back due to the service I received.

I cannot believe the high ratings. You can get a better pizza at a gas station. The slices we got the crusts were so hard they broke into pieces when we tried to eat them. Sauce and cheese were such bad quality they weren't even edible. Pizza was so greasy even though it was obviously sitting out for hours. 0/10 cannot believe we spent money on this.

This used to be my favorite pizza joint in this city. Being from NY, they were the closest thing to an NYC slice. However, I ordered a pie yesterday (10/1/2024), and it was the most disgusting thing ever!!! Seriously, the sauce was bland. The crust was burnt and tough. There were no seasonings (oregano, garlic, etc) at all. I should've known something was up when the box didn't say DeMo's. Apparently, it's under new ownership, and the new owners have decided to keep the name but not the quality by using the cheapest of cheap bland ingredients. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!

This place HAS to have changed owners. Got pizza and a Caesar last weekend and it was terrible. We asked for the pizza to be well done and it showed up undercooked, the Caesar was super sad and wilty and we didn't get the extra dressings we paid for. The delivery driver was also super rude and condescending. It was shocking how much the service and quality have gone downhill, as this place used to be incredible and had excellent customer service. I couldn't get ahold of anyone either about the terrible quality. Makes me super sad, we loved the guys who used to own this place.

The owner/manager was super nice! We were delivered the wrong pizza but they gave us the correct free of charge! The experience & service made our night! Thank you DeMo's pizzeria

Wish I took photos before leaving this review but the food just smelled too good not to dig in right away. No disappointment here! Best pizza hands down in Raleigh. Staff is amazing and super kind. Love this place and can't wait to be back soon. Good job fellas!

The "white pizza" is phenomenal! I would say that it's the best within the area. It's the only thing I get from here. The bread is thin and the flavors blend together so well. I prefer to dine in to eat a fresh pizza. I've gotten take out from here before and it's good but better fresh! Overall, great establishment with quality pizza! Highly recommend the "white pizza".

I would probably go back and try it again. I really liked the ambiance. It feels like a pizza restaurant! I also liked my salad. It was really fresh. However, I didn't love my pizza! It was just really salty and cheesy. I prefer a pizza with a little more sauce and a little less cheese. The sausage wasn't my favorite either. I did like the crust, though. It was good.

This place has gone downhill a bit as of late. If you order online, expect to wait an additional 10-15 minutes once you get there and the food is slightly above fine. The people are nice, and price is pretty reasonable.

It has been years since I ate at Demo's -- pre COVID. Husband and I took four teenagers there last night for one's birthday and it did not disappoint. Super friendly service and delicious food. We had pizza, lots of pizza. The thin NY style crust is the birthday girl's favorite. Garlic knots were also a hit. I love that they offer a gluten free wrap and had a delicious turkey wrap with really good fries. Not sure why we waited so long but will definitely be back soon!

Easily in the top 5 of pizza places of the Triangle for me. Super consistent pie that reminds me a bit of pizza I ate at roller skating rinks in the 90s (that's a good thing)! No fancy coal fired anything, just solid plain pie with quality ingredients. I also love that their boxes break in half to take a small amount home. Our favorite way to enjoy is to call ahead and take it out to the beer joint a few shops down and eat outside while we people watch!

Such delicious pizzas and quick quality service. The guys working the kitchen are so kind and welcoming!! Plus, 2 huge slices and 2 fountain drinks for only $10! Will definitely be coming back here for pizza cravings :)

Very good pizza, and staffs are also friendly. If you want to eat your pizza here you can come in weekdays because there is no people at this time. By the way the Fries here is also very tasty with unique flavor.

So, as always, I'm on travel for work, and I Yelped my way into a really great meal tonight. My work had me at the downtown convention center, but because all of the nearby hotels were booked I was forced into the Casso Hotel by Marriott about a mile from the convention site. This place was only a quarter of a mile from my hotel and I didn't feel like driving so it worked out perfect. First of all, every comment I see for here compliments the friendliness of the staff, and that is 100% spot on. There were a great group of guys working tonight. I was intending to get my food to go, but because it was relatively empty inside, I opted to hang out and eat there. I'm glad I made this choice for two reasons, both of them having to do with not wanting to eat steamed pizza, nor steamed fries , which invariably happens when I get either of these to go. The pizza was really good! No complaints there whatsoever. But the FRIES! OMG THE FRIES! These were without a doubt, the best french fries I have eaten in the past year, and likely even the past several years. Super crispy on the outside, no flavor of oil, and just the right texture inside. To tell the truth, I stopped eating the second half of my small pizza just so that I knew I would have room to finish every single fry on my plate. I almost never eat in the same place, two nights in a row, but if I were staying here another night, I would be heading back over there to try one of their sandwiches and to once again, just to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, eat some more of their unbelievably great fries!

My son and I walked here from the Museum of Natural Science after a day of exploring. He's 7 and loved his pizza slice, he was actually blown away! I had a sub, it was also very yummy. The staff is friendly and the restaurant was very clean.

We have been to DeMo's several times, and service is excellent. We usually get a pizza with pepperoni and meatballs. The sauce is delicious with a little tang, the crust has great undercarriage, with the perfect amount of flop and cheese pull. We usually eat in, but due to COVID, we got a carryout last night. Our pizza was really greasy (that's unusual for DeMo's) but still delicious.

Stopped by for a quick dinner after seeing a movie at Marbles IMAX nearby. Was greeted by very friendly employees inside. The place had the feel of an old-school NY pizza joint. I ordered two slices of cheese pizza to go, and they had them heated up within minutes. Speaking of NY-style pizza, these slices are the closest I've had since my childhood trips to NY. Thin, crisp but foldable slices. Delightfully chewy crust. Flavorful, leopard-spotted cheese. Fresh, bright, and savory sauce. A glistening of grease on top. I scarfed down both slices within minutes, hunched over the to-go box in my car. Super great value, as well. Total came out to ~$6. I will definitely be back!!

This is by far the worst deli shop in North Carolina. I got absolutely robbed for my money and they didn't give me my food I waited over 30 minutes for 1 slice of pizza and still did not receive it.Do not go here what so ever this a shop full of a bunch of scammers.

We decided to come here and pick up a pizza after a walk in one of Raleigh's nice parks. Parking might be a little tight around here, so I just waited in the car while my hubby ran in. He came out and opened the box to double check that our order was right. My first thought was WOW, what a nice looking pie and no bubbles in it! This was similar to a NY style and very tasty. We only got a cheese pizza, but the ingredients were all fresh and flavorful. I'd give this place about 4.5 stars but I'll round up to 5. It was just a tad greasy for me, but otherwise amazing! I would totally come back again!

Bad news. Apparently new owners who have horrific service. Called at 5:58, was told pizza would be delivered in 20/30 minutes..One hour later , nothing. I called and the ass who is the manager was incredibly rude, yelling at me when all I did was inquire as to how much longer it would be. He put the phone down and was heard yelling at the kitchen staff asking is they had made our pizza. He said it would be started and would take another 30 minutes. I have no problem if people are just honest from the start. Not only did they lie, they had no clue about my order even though they took my cc info. But the worst is the manager who was raising his voice with me and arguing nonstop. Talk about the WORST customer service ever. You don't yell at the people who are giving you business especially when there's so much competition. I have been a loyal customer since they opened years ago but now I know that they do not care about their customers, or how they are treated. It's too bad that the business no longer has the original owners bc they DID care and were kind. The new guys will certainly fail if all they can do is scream and argue with the people who have are trying to support them. When it is their fault that they cannot keep up with their orders, they should admit when they are wrong and apologize. You don't argue and scream at the very people trying to help support your business. Will NEVER give them my business in the future and will make sure everyone I know hears the story. Too much competition to treat patrons like crap.

I have been eating at DeMo's for years. Being a holdover from the old days in Raleigh, I remember when Brothers, Two Guys and Andy's were THE pizza places in Raleigh. Sadly, none of them are around anymore but the guys at DeMo's are SUPER close in how their pizzas are cooked and served not to mention their sauce is probably the best Ive had in 20 years. Its my favorite pizza joint in the area. If you want a great pie, this is the place to go. The owners are almost always there and all of the staff are super friendly. Dont sleep on their Reese's PB Cup Rice Krispie treat for dessert. Something so simple should not be so good. They also have an Oreo version if thats your thing.

Great pizza!! Ordered pick up for the first time last week. I ordered a 16 inch white pizza and 16 inch buffalo chicken for my family of 4. It was PLENTY of food, we had leftovers the next day. The pizza crust is thin and was hot. The white was delicious and buffalo chicken was good as well, but white pizza won out. Ordered again last night and did a 18 inch white, 10 inch Montana which has ranch dressing base, mozzarella, chicken, bacon, and potato chips on top!! It was delicious. Also ordered a Caesar salad. They were just pulling it out of the oven when I arrived to pick it up. definitely some of the best pizza in Raleigh. Give it a try.

Pizza was good, but a little too salty for me. It was cooked perfectly with great sauce to cheese ratio. The customer service was great. I would eat here again.

Always a great takeout experience! This is our go-to pizza shop in Raleigh. Pizza arrives warm, consistent toppings/quality, and great customer service.

Located on Glenwood south, to me, it is so much more than just a pizza place I usually go in for a quick slice of pizza and it is so satisfying. It is NY style and super cheesy and perfectly baked. I eat vegetarian so always prefer their cheese pizza. Try it the next time you're around and it won't disappoint! It costs $2.75 per slice. Parking is mostly a big deal because the street is usually crowded.

Just the best gluten free pizza options, delicious wings and (my wife says) great salads! I think the thing that impressed me the most was that they have a very large menu, but maintain quality across all of it. Every thing I've tried from their menu (4-5 different entrees for me and 2-3 for my wife) has been every bit as good as I hoped or better. It's also owned by some really cool, local, guys so you are supporting small business in Raleigh. Go hit up their online ordering on their website and thank me later.

When me and my family are in the mood for dining out and enjoying good pizza, we head to Demo's Pizzeria & Deli, located Downtown Raleigh in the Glenwood South area. We love the customer service, the crust, sauce, cheese and variety of fresh toppings. The price point is good and the dining area is both clean and comfy. They have TVs in case you wanna catch a game while you enjoy their award winning wings, a deli sandwich or pizza! We got a size large Demo's Delight and got it half cheese , half everything. While we waited for our pizza, we got our fountain drinks. Our favorite is Cheerwine but they also have sweet and unsweetened tea along with other sodas. Our pizza did not take long at all and arrived at our table hot out the oven and ready to eat. If you like to add parmesan cheese or sprinkle red hot pepper flakes, you can find that on your table. Everything tastes great and we enjoyed dining here!

Located in downtown Raleigh. The dining area is on the smaller side with about 4-5 tables. The food though hits the spot in all the right places. We ordered the NY Reuben for 10.49 and a 16 inch buffalo chicken pizza for 18.99. The Reuben came with a side of either fries, slaw, or chips and a pickle spear. Both the sandwich and pizza were really delicious. I enjoyed the Reuben more with its ooey gooey cheese melded perfectly together with the corn beef, sauerkraut, and thousand island. Definitely recommended if you're in the area and in the mood for pizza, calzones, or hot sandwiches.

Highly recommend, 100%! Delicious pizza right in the heart of downtown. I like their indoor and outdoor seating arrangement and ordering from the outside window is quick and easy. They were speedy with service and very friendly. There are TVs inside of you want to watch a game and the pizza was delicious.

It's in downtown Raleigh, but they're definitely putting out a New York vibe at this pizzeria. I ordered and got there early because I wanted the taste of freshness. And fresh my pizza was. I ordered a grandfather, a square pizza that filled the box. While a grandma pizza connotes a thick, crisped crust, the crust on this pizza wasn't as tasty as I'd hoped; it was thin and fairly plain. However, as a delivery system for sauce and cheese, it led me to a wonderfully robust flavor; a sauce that seems to have a hundred different spices in it that all blend effortlessly into one indescribable flavor, and a sharp cheese blend with abundant basil on top to add yet another contrasting note. It's a quality pizza for sure. The knots I added were fine and gave me an opportunity to dip in some more of that sauce. If I came back, I'd likely order a more conventional round pizza with some toppings, or maybe order a slice as they had that option too. For anyone seeking that floppy, light texture and nuanced flavor balance that characterizes a New York style pizza, this is a good fix.

I'm a NY/NJ pizza person. If you're going to deviate from a classic style, you better make it count (i.e. Chicago or Detroit Style, or artisanal of some sort). This dough is so uninteresting and fast-rise bready, even Papa-John's has a claim to a more creative interpretation. Is it bad? One can finish their meal and be full. But there's nothing here to write home about, unless you're drunk texting, after a bar crawl up Glenwood for this late night alcohol sponge.

Growing up in the Northeast (just outside Boston), I was privileged to a lot of good pizza in my youth. I like all kinds, but thin crust is the best. I have tried all the pizza in Raleigh, and DeMo's sets the standard for thin crust. And therefore by my taste, is the best pizza in Raleigh. The crust is thin and just the right amount of crisp, and the cheese is thin as well, giving a good ratio of crust to cheese. The cheese and sauce have a nice "tang". Not too sweet. Lots of flavor. Not greasy at all. Also, I love their Greek Salad. Another one of my favorites. Some pizza places do token salads as an after thought. Not these guys. They put heart into their salads. Get it with the grilled chicken on top and it is a meal fit for a king. A+ for the atmosphere. The place has an urban feel, but still real friendly. If you are new comer or a regular, they will make you feel welcome. My only beef is they are closed on Mondays. ;)

The white pizza is otherworldly. Somehow it's the best of lasagna but thin crust pizza all at once. We often order deli sandwiches along with the pizza to have for the next day. Egg salad on rye is a favorite. Demo's delivery has always been on time and accurate and the people are super friendly and professional. Top notch local eatery - keep it up!
