Great location, close to all the touristy spot. Service was good and friendly but a tad bit slow (it was super busy so understandable) the food was great and fresh. Good spot for brunch

The Denny’s on Sunset has been here for decades. Bit of trivia? There was another less than 2 miles away that closed because it couldn’t compete with this one. Gladly they have maintained their quality even after becoming the only one around for miles. They’ve substantially added to their menu over the decades adding huge burgers and some better dinner options. The main choice for me are the breakfast slams. We get the one with scrambled eggs, 4 bacon (yep bacon), hash browns and 2 pancakes which is plenty of food. Now the secret… ask for hot syrup! HOT SYRUP? MIND BLOWN! There are several employees who have been around this location forever and always go out of their way to speak. They are always smiling and very kind to everyone. Denny’s on Sunset is a joy every time I eat there. If you get pancakes or waffles Don’t forget HOT SYRUP!

I stayed for several days in Los Angeles near the Walk of Fame and went to Denny's for breakfast several times. It's a fast-food restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The place is in a safe neighborhood and I felt safe even early in the morning. When the place is full, there are waiting seats, everything is very well organized. At breakfast, there is a solid selection of pancakes, sandwiches and more - a typical American breakfast. I had sandwiches with hash browns and bacon and pancakes with blueberries, among other things. Maple syrup is on the table and you can use it yourself (the maple syrup is good quality!). All in all, I paid around 20-25 dollars for breakfast including an orange juice, which is perfectly acceptable for the quantity, quality and prices in the USA. The orange juice and the pancakes were great. The breakfast is - like everything in the USA - very filling. If there are any leftovers, you can easily take them with you and packaging is provided. The service is attentive. The ambience is simple and functional. All in all, I can recommend Denny's to anyone who wants a typical American breakfast - I would come back any time!

We went out today as a whole family, we were sat quickly and our server Carlos was amazing today! He was attentive and able to answer all our questions without hesitation. He was able to put in our order for appetizers even while we were placing our order with him at the table. While helping us He had a great sense of humor and was kind as well too! All in all a great place to dine in!

Food is consistently good. I'm always happy to go to Denny's the prices are right. The service is good and sometimes you have a bunch of kids that decide they're going to come and visit the booth that you're in. But that's okay too. Very family oriented restaurant. Also good for large groups to meet when nobody has a budget

Lovely place in a cute plaza. Starbucks is across the way in parking lot. Plenty of parking and accessible.

Every so often I want a basic American Diner experience. Not the trendy hipster diner - just basic and since I had heard that David Lynch often haunted the Denny's in Gower Gulch i thought - if its good enough for him its good enough for me. Its right down the street and Gower Gulch has its own Hollywood history so why not support the local places and get to know my working neighbors is what I'm thinking. I went on Tuesday afternoon and got a whole booth to myself which is great cuz I like to write or draw bringing a notebook with me. Was lucky to get LaLa as my server as she turned out to make the whole experience lovely. She was attentive, answered questions, brought me the menus with the specials and just all around very pleasant. I had to ask how long she was working here and was surpised she said since 1984 !! Can you believe it? Someone to work someplace for so long and still be wonderful at their job? That means she is authentically a nice person, which i was in no doubt after a brief conversation. She has great energy and I hope Denny's will treat her righteously when she retires. Give her a car or something she deserves for all that excellent service. I actually went back because of her but she was not there on that day and the staff was considerably different. A waitress was literally yelling across the place about something minor but kept at it for some time. Then the mopping staff decided to park the mop and bucket right next to my booth! Could it get worse? I'm sure but it didn't. It got better. He moved it shortly and the yelling waitress came to take my order and was nice enough. But I miss LaLa!! She just has that great energy that truly good people who are humble enough to just do a good job without recognition have. I really hope someone at Denny's corporate reads this review and plans something deserving for LaLa's retirement. Good employees are hard to find and older women are so easily overlooked in America rather than being respected and honored. Do the right thing Denny's! and give LaLa a car or shares in the company or a cruise - something wonderful. Oh the food was good - not great - you can tell the cook kinda throws it together but it was worth it for the service (the first time). Will definitely return to see LaLa.

Ambiance is great but service is terrible!!! Came here with a friend from out of state who was happy to partake in the all you can eat pancake special for Fat Tuesday, and the waitress was extremely rude. She continually ignored our table and my friend. I had to stop by the front counter where our waitress was busy chit chatting with male coworkers. I spoke to her in Spanish to let her know that slighting our table due to being white is not only racist but inaccurate. What a load of crap.

On a not-particularly busy Friday around 9ish, after being handed a menu and being tasked with finding a clean table, I sat for 20 minutes waiting to be noticed (I'm pretty noticeable). I can't even guess how long they expect people to wait, to pay real-restaurant prices for... Denny's. Now I'm sitting at the counter at Norm's. The food's no better but at least I'm eating.

Used to order on weekends from Dennys but, WHAT A DESAPOINTMENT. The porcion is the smallest, the quality not good and the avocado worst. I am leaving pictures so, you decide. WILL YOU ORDER FROM THIS DENNYS??

Stopped off here to kill time meeting someone later. Also was getting a little peckish. It's been a while since I was last at a dennys which was always for breakfast. But opted for a salad on this visit. Food is whatever as it's always a breakfast spot in my opinion. Even late night out I feel like it's good for breakfast. Lunch, well it was ok. I had the steak salad which, steak was basically done instead of medium as I asked for. For the price, there was no point in returning it. Service was nice but slow at times. Don't know if they were short staff but it was right around lunch time. For the price, it was ok.

You know a lot of people take Denny's for granted but these people here that work really hard to make the food delicious consistent and very healthy for the price I came to this Denny's at about 4:30 in the morning. I found the service to be exceptionally friendly, and my food was unbelievably delicious.. This is one of the few places that you can come to with little money and still get a great friendly homestyle meal. Every person works really really hard and has a level of commitment that I as a server and also I've been aligned to before will never forget, and I am eternally grateful for . Meat lovers omelette, side, fruit, and free wheat toast started my morning beautifully come down and say hi to Ethan and I didn't even have to wait 10 minutes for my food from ordering six minutes on the dot if it's busy they'll be be a bit longer but when you take your old American ketchup and delicious Tabasco sauce You won't even remember that you waited at all.

Watered down drinks, lemonade had no sugar and food was super oily and no flavor. Sure the place is "convenient" but other than that do not go here unless you know what you are going in for.

OK I ordered delivery for the first time ever. Anyway, my order came just fine. The pancakes are beautiful, but when I looked at what else I was given, not only did they only give me two scrambled eggs when I paid for extra eggs. It was definitely not four eggs.And the potatoes looked like they had been dropped on the floor and scraped off it. I did get butter and syrup for the pancakes, but I didn't get anything else besides a plastic fork and knife. You know it would be good to get some ketchup. Forget the extra eggs I ordered. But being starving and having to get going at four in the morning. I took what I can get. But really can't you like completely give me my order. Why did I pay for two extra eggs when I didn't get them and is a couple catchup packets too hard to actually put in a bag? Definitely do not want to order food by delivery again because you never know what you get. I've definitely had good and bad experiences ordering from the Dennys corporation and if it wasn't four in the morning. I probably would've ordered somewhere else. And on top of it, the grand slam I ordered cost me 36 bucks to get to me. Ridiculous.

Went to order some food, trying to use a mobile coupon and they kept telling me that it didn't work even after I asked theM To try adding the beverages first they just wouldn't do it. When my order finally came out, they had made a mistake and when I asked for them to fix it, the cashier James was super rude and gave me attitude saying "whatever Lady" terrible service .

Open 24/7. Great location off of Sunset Blvd. I stopped by at 4am on a Friday. I didn't see any customers inside. I was promptly greeted and seated and had my order taken almost right away. Restaurant looks clean and modern outside and in. There was a security guy in front. I had Santa Fe skillet. It came very fast. Eggs over easy were a bit harder than they should be. My waiter Anna S was sweet and helpful and checking on me all the time! Awesome to have this Denny's located so convenient to me.

I never have high expectations for Denny's writing about my experience here was definitely not planned. This one was great. Came here recently for breakfast with my husband before work and was surprised at how fast we were seated, and how attentive our server was. She actually saved us some money by recommending the super slam vs the grand slam. I believe we only paid $10 for the super slam which was more food than the grand slam: 2 pancakes, bacon, eggs and hash browns. She could have just not said anything when we ordered the grand slam, but she recommended something even better so I had to give her a shoutout. I don't remember her name but she was an older Asian server--thank you. The restaurant had its own parking lot and there was plenty of spaces. As for the food, their pancakes have always been a fav of mine. The pancakes were large and fluffy, and everything else was good too. Overall, great restaurant. Chill ambiance, this Dennys is in an excellent location.

Standard diner foods which was tasty and generous portion. Good attentive service from my server even though the restaurant was busy . All in all good value for the money.

Terrible I walk in there and I stand at the cashier desk for about 10 minutes to order to go and no one comes to me, after 11 mins passes I tell an employee I see "hello can I order?" She says she can't take my order but will call an employee named Sergio to take my order. I wait another 15 minutes after this and no one still approaches me and the restaurant isn't packed there is about 6 tables with guests. Then a lady named Teresa comes up to me and asked if Sergio helped me I said no and she seemed disappointed and apologized to me and took my order. Overall I shouldn't have to wait almost 30 minutes to place a simple one person order to go that's just very unprofessional needs huge improvement. They were sitting guests quick but the to go orders need to be worked on and this was 4:00pm-4:32pm Friday 11/1/24

Food got me feeling very nice right about now. I ordered food and it came. I ate every bit and honestly left nothing on my plate. Good things are the ones that have an end, like my biscuits & gravy. I don't understand why this place is such low rating. This place is so tight it reminds me of the youthful years with the younglings. The ambience really is inviting and a beautiful wall tricks me that it's a window at times. Server was so gas and was very nice. Food all gone. I'm still waiting for my mozzarella sticks though.

Customer service is always great we have a girl that always helps us out. I came around one thirtyish. She truly is always hands on deck very attentive and detailed. It's very normal casual kind of ambience. Definitely for family One thing I'm going to say the ham and the sausage work pretty salty. Usually they're on point but this time they were salty I didn't want to eat the other sausage nor than ham . Hopefully next time it'll be better.

Tancy is our favorite server here PERIOD!!! She is so good at her job and she makes us feel welcomed, taken care of, and happy. We always hope we get Tancy every time we come here because it elevates the experience by a lot!!!! Thanks girlie!!!!

Ordered the Chocobana Pancakes they were delicious. Our waiter Carlos had excellent customer service skills so that's why I'm writing this review, great job to him.

We have been here a couple times already and every time we have had Sergio for our server. First off, he's great. I give 5-stars to him alone. He is friendly and prompt. I never see him writing down orders; he must memorize every thing. The other people working on the floor were nice as well. We came here on Christmas for lunch and it wasn't horribly packed but they had a special holiday menu. I wanted the Cobb Salad with salmon. I saw that it wasn't offered on Christmas, but I asked Sergio anyway. He said he could ask the kitchen to prepare the salad for me, and they did. That was awesome! Our party had really great service each time. I give the restaurant an overall 4-stars because Denny's food is alright/ok. We have had no complaints so far but I don't rave about Denny's.

Have had great service here by the same waitress for years. Also like the fun atmosphere of this Hollywood location.

Was sitting for an HOUR with my partner, had drinks taken to us with no food waiting for an hour with a server walking around with his phone in his back pocket listening to music out loud, no one attending to us, no update, ignored, unacknowledged , unprofessional... worst dennys we've ever been too. Never coming here again . I'd give it no stars if I could but unfortunately I have to leave at least one...

This might be the best Denny's in the whole world! My food was PERFECT and hot and delicious. The presentation was lovely and it was so refreshing to receive food that was served with pride. Thank you for a fabulous diner-style dining experience. Restaurant service has been lackluster at so many places lately but THIS restaurant is a magnificent exception.

I came into this Denise this morning for a simple stack of pancakes, and I walked up to the register and asked if I can make an order and Erika said hold on just a second as I stood there she talked to her fellow employee and I continue to wait patiently. The funny part about it is she had the audacity to take a phone order right in front of my face simply disrespectful I work clothes, so I just decided to stop there for a second but this was a very horrible experience.

I came for breakfast. My food was delicious! My waitress Pico was exceptional! Attentive, respectful, and professional. She checked on me multiple times. The manager Charles was kind and courteous. I enjoyed eating at Dennys Diner. Today, I came in order breakfast and 30 plus mins go by and I'm missing my French toast, I got served my regular plate without French toast. My server employee: Chuanchom didn't realized my order was missing until I brought it up. It was getting late so I decided to take my French toast to go instead. I still tipped her and accepted the offer to donate to help feed kids but not once did she apologize. I hope other customers don't go through the same issue as I did.

Best food best place but the person picking up the dishes was disgusting walking around with his dirty trolly without keep it decent looking n was extremely disrespectful, he was walking n so freaking annoying

Came here to eat yesterday afternoon before a show that I had at the Hollywood Palladium .My waitress Stephanie I believe that's her name she has reddish hair was just awful. If I could give this place a zero I would because of her only.The food was delicious I'm not going to lie, but it took them 10 to 15 minutes to notice me for me to ask them for a coffee.Not only to Stephanie sucked, but her coworker was the one that was more attentive than her, and she wasn't even the person that took my order .Stephanie who took my order and served my food didn't come and check on me at all or asked how was my food was whatsoever or offer me to refill my water and then she had the audacity to ask me to write a review about her service and handed me a card wow hahaha .This is the worst service I have ever had at a Denny's. It's a Shame because the food was amazing .You need to find people that actually care about serving their customers. It was such a shame to pay and even worse to tip because my waitress did not deserve any of my tip.Will not be ever coming back here again.

Stoped here on our way to Universal Studios Place gets super busy and even this busy is was all around great. Seated us within minutes of getting there took our orders right away. Service was on point fast and very attentive. Food itself was what you expect from a dennys which is good food was nice and hot and all around very enjoyable.

Ordered a lumberjack slam and got some "extra" seasoning on the egg. Sent it back to the kitchen and they did not make a new one for us, gave us the same, but just pulled out whatever it was from the egg. Definitely not coming back to this Denny's Location!!!

Somethings changed her to Stannius recently. Twice in one week I've tried to go. First time. I center for 15 minutes after. I waited. 10 minutes to be seated and nobody's talking to take my order. So I left. Tonight there's nobody in there. I wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated. I get seated then I wait nearly 10 minutes for someone to come over and even acknowledge me. I told him I know what I want it. And I don't have it. It's on the menu, but they said they're out of it. If you're out of something, put it on the menu, cover it up. Especially when you make people wait for no reason. This place is gone down the tubes and it's terrible.

Came here after 10pm on a Monday and had the softest and fluffiest stack of pancakes I've ever had at a Denny's. Docked a star because we waited a while and needed to call someone to take our order but I'd be back again for those sweet, sweet pancakes

COCKROACHES IN THE FOOD!! I went around 3am to eat with some friends. We all ordered basically the same breakfast combo. My hash browns were greasy and soggy. The eggs were bland the food had a weird taste that I did not notice until I found the cockroach leg under my hash-brown. This is not a joke. The manager acted on bad faith and "dropped the plate in the kitchen" so it couldn't be tested after the fact. He also said I can't let you take that bc I wanted to get it tested.

Went in earlier today and was seated quickly but left after 10 minutes because my dad and weren't offered water or asked what we would like to drink. The one star is for the gentleman who seated us. Don't bother coming unless you have hours to waste. We went to Norms instead and received much better service over there, even with them being just as busy as Denny's.

I've been a regular at this Denny's location for decades. Their interpretation of the Grand Slamwich is simply unparalleled, and the manager Andres's kind eyes and warm demeanor have gotten through many a difficult week. But I've never felt compelled to leave a review on yelp.com before today... When I stopped by for my Mile High Denver Omelette yesterday, the staff politely informed me that diners would be treated to a special concert from local pop-punk outfit Games We Play. I was distraught, as I don't even like rock music (proud jazz aficionado), but little did I know, my life was about to change. Games We Play took the "stage" with the ferocity of a shark attack, and i was instantly transfixed by the group's charismatic frontman Emmyn Calleiro. He has the voice of an angel, the delicate facial features of a Botticelli painting, and that indescribable star-power that only comes along once in a generation. His joie de vivre was infectious, and perfectly accentuated the bold flavors of my Moons Over My Hammy. His artfully-penned breakup anthem "I Hope You're Happy" even allowed me to finally get some closure around my most recent divorce! This was the most fulfilling lunch of my adult life. Thank you Games We Play. Thank you Denny's. And may God bless America. 5 Stars!

First time at this Denny's and the first time at any Denny's since pre-COVID. Portion sizes have definitely shrunk. Luckily this location makes pretty good food though. No complaints about my French Toast Slam. It was cooked perfectly and tasted pretty good. Best Denny's I've ever had, even though it's just a Denny's. Food: 3.5/5 The limit for Denny's, let's be honest. Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good. Wait : 2.5/5 Took about 20 minutes for my table, but that's pretty normal for Denny's and iHOPs. Definitely a 10 min wait would be best but I've never had a sub 20 min wait at any Diner chain Service: 10/5 TL;DR: Very quick and polite server that bounced off my table's vibes perfectly. So yeah, normally a 3/5 rating objectively. However, there's a great server at your Denny's that happened to serve me and my friends! Honestly don't know what his name is, but he's like 5'10 and has a mullet with blonde tips. The guy was really cool and vibed off our jokes really well. He checked up on us the perfect amount of times too. He brought all our food out with the syrup, then just checked up on us one more time to make sure we got everything we needed. Told him I needed Tabasco, 30 seconds later it was in my hands. Whenever he passed by casually afterwards, he would just crack a fun joke and moved as if he wasn't in too much of a rush to hear if we needed anything. So yeah, he was honestly a very polite and well paced server. Couldn't ask for more from him to be honest! I felt very welcome and he accommodated us very well and very quickly. 5 star really because he showed such exemplary service. Happy New Years and thanks a lot server bro! Visited from 2:30 AM - 3:30 AM on 12/30/22 Whoever this server was, he deserves a bonus, or a nice gift, something! I made sure to give him a good tip. Great experience! A friend and I stopped in to this Denny's in between a morning of medical appointments. The highlight of our day was the really delicious breakfasts we had. Our waiter, Carlos, was truly one of the best waiters we've had in years. Excellent service- Many thanks, Carlos.

The typical "if I could give less than once star I would" They have messed up my order 3 times when I was there in one sitting. Service is not great but food is fast food standard

It's beautiful busy Sunday morning the restaurant is full and hectic but he still managed to have the best welcoming attitude the atmosphere is really nice as well and you can tell the staff works well as a team unit. Our service was great speedy and delicious and Carlos was very attentive the entire time. Thank you hope you have a great shift all the time.
