"Manhattan’s first location of the breakfast diner chain — which was glammed up with leather banquettes and a $300 version of the Grand Slam — has closed after less than three years in FiDi. This location included a makeover of the diner’s popular Grand Slam breakfast, renamed the “Grand Cru Slam” and repriced at $300. It consisted of two standard Grand Slam breakfasts (eggs, pancakes, sausage, and bacon) and a bottle of vintage 2003 Dom Perignon Premier Cru champagne. Diners could also got a high-five from the bartender with the meal." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Went here for the experience, as an Irish tourist in New York, breakfast at 6pm sounds so fab and it definitely was! Our server Felicia was so friendly, got whatever we needed! Her lipstick matched her nails - yaaas. Our food was a little slow coming out and my hash browns were a little undercooked but Felicia was so lovely and always checked on us when we were waiting. Drain those pancakes in syrup as they can be a little dry! A friend got a vegetable skillet and said it was so lovely and a huge dish. Definitely go for the experience, theres loads of seating and it's near a subway!

I have ate at many Denny's before, mainly in Salt Lake City and Vegas, and they have been great value for money and good food. This was not the case at New York Denny's, however. The restaurant was extremely cold, and the choice of food was very limited. When the food arrived it was just so greasy that it made both of us feel sick. To give credit to the manager, he did come over and apologise and gave us a refund and offered us different food but we didn't want to eat anything else. It was a shame as always had such good food and value for money at Dennys.

This was absolutely not the best Denny's experience I have had, and I've been visiting many Denny's across America. We were in at 11am on a wednessday and the staff was totally confused, all though there was allmost no guests in the restaurant. We were sitting in the booth right by the entrance and front desk. It sure was very stressfull to sit and watch how the cashier girl constantly had a angry and confused look on her face, even at costumers. She was texting on her big pink phone while taking payments from costumers, and running around yelling private angry stuff to her colleagues across the room. Money and recipes was all over the front desk, and there was a huge confusion of what belonged where. The food was as usually good, took some time though, 25 minutes for 2 breakfasts. The waitress was all right. Could have been a very bad day for the staff, but this was our experience that day.

Loved the breakfast. Spacious but can very crowded. Coffee is not recommended. I would go back for their breakfast! The banana cream pancakes is an excellent choice.

Terrible service! Albert D was our waiter and was careless and got everyone's order wrong. Bought runny eggs, cold pancakes, horrible meatloaf, and loads of sour cream on top of my food, when i asked for it on the side. Instead of correcting HIS mistake, he got an attitude. Never came back to see what anyone needed and if we tried to get his attention, he just looked away and acted DUMB. Wait, that wasn't an act. Also, at this Northern blvd location they choose to always have "blender issues " so they cant make the shakes on their menu. Hey Eduardo send someone to go down the block to the rite aid and pick up a blender and stop playing. I gave this location a raving review in the past. Well, now they get donkey of the day, because now they suck! Eduardo the manager was horrible too , for sitting back and watching this fiasco and saying/doing nothing. AVOID THIS LOCATION BY GOING DOWN A CPLA BLOCKS TO IHOP!

Was very good. Excellent food, big serving sizes, I was impressed. Free refills and free garlic bread are a very nice bonus. I had to wait maybe 2 minutes to get seated, I was offered several tables but I had no preferences. The waitresses were so nice and asked me pretty often if I needed anything. The menu is great, prices are reasonable. Food took maybe 10 minutes, which is pretty quick for what I can tell. Drinks were maybe 3-5 mins, and I wasn't the only customer there. Very attentive staff, so nice, I tipped extraordinarily well and will come again.
