A Handy Guide to Denver-Area Food Halls | Eater Denver

"This behemoth LoDo food hall from restaurateur Frank Bonanno’s houses 13 restaurants, three bars, and an artisan food market — and Bonanno is behind them all. Most are a combination of a restaurant and market counter, offering some goods and prepared dishes. Albina by the Sea is a seafood counter that also serves prepared dishes like fish and chips and calamari along with fish sandwiches. Among the other stations are Lou’s Hot and Naked (fried chicken), Cornicello (gelato), and Fem (French crepes)." - Rebecca Treon

Here’s What to Try at Milk Market, Opening Today in the Dairy Block - Eater Denver

"With the opening of Milk Market today, 13 restaurant stalls, three bars, and an artisan food market are now within walking distance of thousands of downtown Denver residents and visitors. Located at Wazee and 18th streets, the new market hall is the first of its kind in the neighborhood. Food and drink offerings start as early as 7 a.m. and go as late as 3 a.m. (see pizza by the slice) on weekends. Yes, restaurateur Frank Bonanno has covered all the bases here. Unlike other local halls, he’s behind every single concept. With that in mind, Eater sampled the goods and picked a few favorites. Here they are, followed by a tour of the sprawling marketplace. Status: Starting Friday, June 1, Milk Market opens from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at 1800 Wazee Street. Lou’s Hot Naked and Morning Jones open at 7 a.m. weekdays. Moo Bar, Stranded Pilgrim, and Mano Pastaria stay open until 11 p.m." - Josie Sexton

Google
Modern and clean “fancy cafeteria” type eatery with a bunch of different options for food from many varying cuisines. Overall vibe is really nice and it’s a fun place to hang out with friends. I ordered a burger and a mac n cheese from BOS which were both pretty tasty but nothing wildly special. I ate with some other friends who got different meals and shared similar sentiments—good, quality food, but nothing special and a bit pricey. Overall a fun place to go but not an absolute slam dunk to frequent.

Google
Lots of variety, love the area and vibes. Poke bowl was good but nothing special. The fish and chips were GREAT! Very upscale looking food hall, plenty of seating, and a bar.

Google
My first time. It was very overwhelming, and confusing. The food was good. Portion size was a bit small. Prices for quality was okay. Lots of opportunities to make the experience more customer centric. Not all food stations were open. No signs to say they are closed. Good energy and vibe for Bingo. Sunday is a good spot to come with a group, not so much if your by yourself. I’d try it again. Support local.

Google
A lot of the vendors either were not at the counter and unable to help during a major game, or were rude. Also, you would think being that it was the Denver Rockies opener that that would be the game playing on the television but it was not. Most was clean just not all the countertops in a lot of different areas to sit. Surprised it wasn’t more going on in the area for the big day. Only one place seem to have a special going. Still think that great of the area is very nice.

Google
Great spot for a quick, delicious meal! We tried the Pork Carnitas Taco Platter, an Unagi Glazed Salmon Poke Bowl, a Blackened Shrimp Po' Boy, and drinks/dessert from Cornicello’s. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The poke bowl was colorful and packed with toppings, and the Po' Boy was hearty with perfectly seasoned shrimp. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was lively but comfortable. Prices were fair, with small digital fees added. Definitely worth a stop if you're in downtown Denver!

Tried this place on a Friday night with the kids. There’s a great variety of food. The pizza and pasta place was delicious! They had plenty of gluten free options. We also tried the ice cream area - and it was good. Clean, spacious, yummy food, and great service at various stalls we visited. Would definitely visit again.

Google
First time visiting this trendy food hot spot. Although much of downtown has been revamped, this place stands out. It is located near the corner of 18th and Wazee Street. The exterior is refreshing. There's an area with several benches to dine and enjoy the scenery. Inside, there are about ten different restaurants offering a wide variety of food. We were celebrating a birthday and found a large table by The Stranded Pilgrim to accommodate our group. It was late (7 pm) and didn't have much time due to them closing at 9 pm. We ordered from several places, including Bos Butcher and Deli , Fuso Pizza & Pasta, Ghost Tortilla, and Mopoke. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Scott, from Bos, even brought us our food to our table where everyone else had a pager to get theirs. I definitely recommend coming here. There are several areas to keep the kiddos entertained, offering board games, skeet ball, and a foosball table. Great place for the family or a romantic date night.

Google
Food court is great with many options and vendors! We got Lucky Birds and the tenders were great! Wish we had room for some ice cream though! Cool spot for a quick bite, drinks, and hang out!

Yelp
There are many shops here to browse around. My favorite was the italian restaurant. The spaghetti was tasty and fresh. Milk market feature clothing stores, food, coffee shop and burger shop. The building is very open and spacious.

Yelp
I visit Ghost Tortilla for lunch. Got their 3 taco entree with beef. It was delicious! Rice and beans came with the order! Quick service! You ordered via a kiosk, I barely needed to speak to anyone, which was awkward for me bc I love to chat with people. But for people who would like little conversation, the order process was quiet. Hehe

Yelp
I had read about this Food Hall on Yelp and it was not too far from our hotel, so we decided to check it out. There are 16 different eateries under this one roof....anything from ice cream and breakfast food to poke and seafood delicacies. We arrived and the place was busy. Very lively. At any counter, anyone could just pick the menu for the entire food hall, so you can see what everyone of the eateries has to offer. The ambiance was casual and fun. All the restaurants here charge a 22% service fee to any bill, which takes care of the tips for all the people involved in making your meal. Easy, but a bit steep, for "fast food". I love the food hall concept, several people can easily order from different restaurants and still share a meal together in one big table....
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
A great variety of food with nine restaurants under one roof. The butchery has great sandwiches. The ghost tortilla has great nacho platter. Lots of great bakery items and another location and ice cream shop as well. The atmosphere is very welcome and the dining room is really different from location to location underneath one roof.outstanding service and local product served here. The staff is very friendly at all locations and service was excellent. The prices are very reasonable and family friendly as well
google avatar

Kangni X.

Yelp
Lots of options and staff are very friendly but at 6PM on a weekend the stations seems empty. Each booth had 1-2staff. It was hard to tell what was open or not. It was also easy to miss menus since some displays were out of the way.

Yelp
Essentially, the Denver Milk Market is a Food Hall. It is housed in a large corner of the historic Dairy Block. The restaurants & bars here are run by Chef Frank Bonanno. My number one reason for coming here was to see the "Milk Splash" Art by Airworks Studio that is outside. It's huge and is pretty cool! There is so much art in and around the Milk Market! On the flip side, my number one reason to NOT come back is their not very visibly noted forced fees tacked on to your bill(s). The 22% CHP fee is for "Creating Happy People". And if that wasn't enough, there's another added fee of 2% for DB, I'm guessing it's for Dairy Block. I think a lot of people don't pay attention to the money they're shelling out to have a grand time! So you'll want to factor in the fees if they are of concern and want do business here. What I found on the website was that "The CHP (Creating Happy People) Fee is a 22% service fee that goes to support the entire team behind your experience at our concepts. This means that hospitality is included in your total and takes good care of our staff as they take good care of you." It was also on the napkin dispenser: ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/bonanno-brothers-pizzeria-at-denver-milk-market-denver?select=0WyNk37XYLGNW6xS-k880w ). For a self-service type of place, this is a pretty steep fee. There's no table service, at least there wasn't any for me. If this mandatory fee is in fact "THE TIP", then the businesses should remove the option to add a tip from their POS machines. I'm pretty sure there's a good mix of locals and tourists. And being a tourist myself, this was my first visit and I wasn't aware of the fees. I feel people are accustomed to adding on a tip, so they do, not knowing until later that they had inadvertently already essentially left a tip. I'm not entirely sure if you're supposed to tip on top of this fee or not? I added a small tip on the ice cream I bought from Cornicello because the machine asked and I didn't notice the price difference. But when I ordered a $22 Pizza and was told it cost $29.08, I was befuddled. I asked the lady and she then briefly explained it to me. I can't recall if there was a section to add a tip on the POS machine at Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria. This is a very happening spot! This Milk Market is conveniently close to Union Station & Coors Field! It was very busy when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. This market is more or less a DIY type of place. You can place orders on the TOAST App or in person at each restaurant. You then go pick up your order when it's ready. Ice Cream was ready on the spot. The pizza took about 20-30 minutes. I sat at their counter with my pager and picked up my pizza when it was ready. Seriously, this setup is really no different than a Fast Food restaurant! My experience with the people who work here was minimal. Nothing special above & beyond their roles, I couldn't even see that they were much happier with their jobs than anyone elsewhere! I'm glad I came to check this place out! I might return just to check out all the artwork. I may even get another scoop of ice cream! I definitely won't be ordering any food from here. I didn't even like my pizza. Such a shame! I'm sure there is good food to be had here though!

Yelp
Lots of options for food, drinks, and other miscellaneous shopping. Our group chose Lou's, the chicken joint. While the food was good, our exchange at the register left such a bad taste. This already disgruntled, unhappy man wasn't approachable whatsoever and he spoke so sternly to us. My bf asked if we could do half of the tenders of our meal plain (3) and half spicy (3) and he said no. My bf then just asked for a side of their spicy sauce and the guy was reluctant to even do that. There wasn't even any one else ordering from there at the time, so I couldn't even tell myself that this man was justifiably irate because he was busy, because he wasn't! The fact that there's a 22% CHP (Creating Happy People) fee applied to your bill, for??? This jerk basically got rewarded for his terrible service skills.
google avatar

Jaime J.

Yelp
A food hall with a good amount of options but most of them closed on Sunday during dinner time, not sure what that's about. I ordered some pizza while visiting and it tasted good but not life changing. We later found out that there was a non-optional fee added to the bill, really sucks that the customer has to pay more so that the employer doesn't have to.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the ally more than the shops and the food options inside the milk market. The food hall closes very early so we didn't get to try any food unfortunately. But the location, the ally and all the interactive objects you find within the block was nice and cool!!

Yelp
Love the variety here!! I could eat here everyday if I worked downtown. Stopped by with some colleagues while visiting and they said Milk Market was a must. I will be back for sure!
google avatar

Natalia O.

Yelp
The market was very cute, with a decent amount of shops (food, souvenirs, etc). I opted for a Poke bowl which was good. However, I won't return due to the non-negotiable 20% tip thats added to the bill.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Maven which is part of the Denver Milk Market. The market is super cool with seemingly local vendors/restaurants that offer a little bit of everything in terms of food and beverages. The market was super clean and I enjoyed walking around looking at each vendor even though I wasn't looking for food. What was super cool is as we were leaving on Sunday, we walked into a really awesome drag show! Love how locally focused the market is!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
This place is okay...We ate at the ghost tortilla in there and im bummed that there isn't separate reviews per place to eat because that place wasn't very good. we got the nachos but its literally just fake cheese and meat. they charged $3 for guac, which usually im fine with but was such a pathetic dollop. you have to specifically ask/demand for pico de gallo to be added or even just cilantro/onions/lettuce, literally anything else that actually goes on nachos. and they charged $20 for those... I am giving 3 stars for the other options available at milk market, but if it was just ghost tortilla, 1 star.

Yelp
Denver Milk Market is Denver's version of one of my favorite Philly spots - Reading Terminal Market. It's a big indoor space filled with mini pop up restaurants ranging from fresh seafood to Italian to Mexican. In contrast with Reading Terminal, there aren't any produce/shopping stalls - they are all individual restaurants. The space is filled with a lot of seating & the ability to get food/drinks from any of the vendors. They also have an outdoor seating area which is perfect for sunny Denver days! My favorite part was that the space also has a ton of local art displayed including murals, paintings, and sculptures. While we didn't get to sample the food because we stopped in on our way to brunch, the drinks that we tried were delicious! I got one called the strawberry cow which was like your typical Moscow Mule except included a bit of strawberry-lemon flavor - super refreshing! The only negative would be that the servers rush you through ordering (probably trying to get as many people through the door as possible). Also, the 20% tip is automatically included, but this isn't noted anywhere so watch out!! We only noticed it because of a price discrepancy on the total bill vs the cost of things listed on the menu. Food: N/A Drinks: A Service: C+ Ambiance: B+

Yelp
A last-minute, post-tour hang for quick cocktails wound up being an underrated food hall visit, which has a surprisingly nice. After bar-hopping all night, our hosts suggested we venture through the alleyway side to see what the space had to offer. As we passed a ton of food court options, the bar-area was packed but the bartenders still attended to us in no time flat. Pretty exciting scene for a weekday night, tons of options for a wide variety of friends.
google avatar

Yelp
The milk market is full of options for everyone! There's lots of mini eateries with tons of options. The best part of my dinning experience was my server Matt. He was hilarious, helpful and offered fast and friendly service. We got salads, beer, tequila and everything was great. The salad was premade since the restaurant was closed, but it tasted fresh and was full of wholesome ingredients. The ambiance is fantastic and it's right in the heart of downtown Denver. This is a great place to eat whether you're a local or visiting.

Yelp
What a fun place to hand out and get some work done! Loving the spaces for all patrons

Yelp
Visiting for the weekend and stopped by for lunch and a drink. Absolutely loved the atmosphere sitting outside, enjoying good food and people watching. So convenient that we could order food on our phones and then go inside to the bar to grab drinks. Wish I could remember the name of the vendors, but we ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and carnitas tacos and both were great. Not a ton of signage on directions when sitting outside, but if weather permits, I'd recommend!

Yelp
Great concept, food leaves much to be desired. On a recent trip to DT Denver, I dined at Milk Market and was amazed with the variety and cried at this establishment. After walking around and taking in the offerings, I decided on Ghost Tortilla. The chicken stings salad was decent. Serving size were great but the toppings overpowered the meat and (meager) salad and rice base. I'll be down to try their other eateries, but stick to American foods (Lou's maybe?) Paid parking galore, and lotsa options for brunch and desserts are other plusses!
google avatar

Jami W.

Yelp
Food and drink selections were great. We found ourself coming back for the shops and food. Outside is great for pics as well

Yelp
I really struggle with this place. The concept was fine, but the execution was awful for to go orders and in person dining. I ordered to go through the Toast app and went to pick up. There was no clear pick up area. I went to the business I ordered from, Green Huntsman. The only person there wasn't set up for customer service, just making orders, so it took a while to get his attention. He just pointed towards the bar and said order pickups were over there. I went to the bar and tried to ask but the only bartender walked away. So I walked around trying to find someone to help me but many of the employees ignored me. Finally the guy at Lou's helped me out and told me all to go orders are picked up at Mano Pastaria. This was not obvious! There was no sign or anything. So annoying. I walked around for 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Kind of defeated the purpose for a to go order. Also, ordering from here to dine in person has been equally annoying. The person behind the counter made me order through the Toast app, which was a huge pain because the wifi wasn't great and I didn't get good cell service there. Once I ordered, the guy was yelling at me that they were out of certain items I ordered. Huge eye roll. Finally the to go packaging for Green Huntsman salads sucked! They crammed the salad tightly into the plastic container. No room to add the dressing and toss the salad. I was so annoyed. I just can't with this food hall. No more.

Yelp
This place has everything!! Such a good selection of foods and drinks to choose from. It has such a charming vibe too. You can find a seat anywhere and scan the QR code and you'll have the menus from all the restaurants there at your disposal, then the food is delivered to you! For my SoCal readers, this is a lot like Anaheim packing district. The reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because I came with one other friend, and they automatically included a 22% gratuity! The food was all really delectable and is easily a must try! It's a nice place to meet up in downtown for a quick bite, or have a slower meal and catch up with friends. Great for sharing and for solo eating.

Yelp
Very cool spot and love all the different options. Highly recommend happy hour, this is at Moo Bar, specifically. The staff is the worst at Moo Bar, though. Not all of them, of course. But in terms of bad attitudes and experiences, they have pissed me off quite a few times. I also despise them NOT telling people they automatically add on tips to the bills. I've noticed my last few times they've been better at telling people, in their defense. But, I'm sure so many have tipped 30%+ not knowing. Let's call that what it is: STEALING. The service isn't prompt at Moo Bar, either. As mentioned, often certain ones will have crap attitudes and to that I wonder, where's management to observe and fix their issues? No one should be having a bad time because of service staff members. Don't like serving people? Simple, don't do it. Walk around the whole market to see all of the options! A boutique hotel is also connected and I love the huge, wood hand sculpture hanging from the cieling. They have other events, a popular one is drag bingo, which I still have yet to go. One of these days...
google avatar

Neleh H.

Yelp
Hit and miss. Really like the vibe & lots of room to sit inside or out- at tables or bar or lounge area. Convenient to sit & order with QR code- but as folks have said- be aware that if you do there's a 22% automatic fee. I don't mind paying staff tips but TBH they didn't do much- just brought out the food. We had to go get water & condiments ourselves. Mushroom pizza & brussel sprouts were really good. The calamari was not. Tater tots were typical. Breakfast pastry place looked super yummy & worth trying next time.
google avatar

Vivian C.

Yelp
This market reminds me of Anaheim Packing District back in California but what's nice about this location is that you don't have to go to each individual station to order. You scan the QR code at your table which tracks where you're sitting. You can order through the Toast website for any of the items that are listed on the menu. It also factors in the Happy Hour menu as well. Servers will come around to grab any drinks for you. What was surprising to me was that they automatically tack on a 22% gratuity which is fairly high. If you're looking for a wide array of cuisines to choose from and also drinks, this is the place to be.
google avatar

Robert N.

Yelp
*Review for the market itself not the individual restaurants Located within walking distance to the big attractions downtown (Coors Field, Ball Arena, etc.) Denver milk market is clean with plenty of space and numerous options to try. Unfortunately, my experience has been very hit or miss with what vendors are actually open and operating when I've been there with a few different times and it has seemed random. Also, all of the vendors charge a built-in 20% tip gratuity imposed by the space, but only some of them will tell you that. Overall this is my favorite of the food hall type spaces in Denver.
google avatar

Brianna C.

Yelp
We went to run for the roses last night as a date night spot. It did not disappoint. The room was moody and it was basement level. The drinks were incredible. We got the special cask makers mark old fashions and we both loved it. If you're feeling adventurous you can pick a card to get a drink order which is the other drink we got. Sadly was not a fan of that drink but it was a cool experience. 10/10 recommend for date night

Yelp
Just bad . Selling sandwiches with a two day old bread and claiming it's fresh . Gross disgusting never again . Taking it to feed the birds

Yelp
This was a nice stop to come with a large good people because everyone is able to get what they want. i liked all of the options and how cute the inside and outside was'n
google avatar

Connie W.

Yelp
I always love a good food hall, and the Denver Milk Market is super cute and did not disappoint in looks at all! However, we came in on a Wednesday night, and it was pretty dead inside. Most of the food options weren't open, and some of the ones that were open when we got there closed pretty early (by 7). We ended up going to Ghost Tortilla, which had a very kind worker who accommodated our nut allergy and made extra sure nothing was made with nuts! I ordered the pork carnitas tacos with cilantro rice. I WISH I could say these tacos were good, but they were just mid. The pork was too dry, and it tasted very bland in general. The rice also seemed to be just rice with barely any cilantro in it. Overall, the look of the food hall deserves 5 stars, and the service also deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food is very average and probably only deserves 3 stars :( I would most likely not eat here again.

Yelp
Love the vibe of this place. The pappardelle is amazing! Great for an after work cocktail

Yelp
Was a fun vibe and I loved the different things you could get here. Will be back if I am in Denver. Pizza was good and the seafood was awesome!

Yelp
Denver milk market is a always a great place to go when you want to try a variety of different food in a food hall type environment. One thing that I can say for sure that it's always busy at DMM. While seating wasn't hard to find, the wait for the food was on the longer side. I ordered pasta and it took about 30 mins for the pasta dish to come out. Which was a little disappointing because I was very hungry and the wait just was not ideal that day. Food wise I give it a 5/5. Perfect blend of seasoning and the sauce to meat to pasta ratio that spot on. A great plus, when you check in you get a nice $2 off at moo bar which so great.

Yelp
I appreciate a food hall with a bar. Everyone can do their own thing. One person is ravenous and another isn't that hungry? No problem. You want pizza and gelato and they want tacos? Easy. Denver Milk Market is stylish, yet deeply casual. There's an old school meets new school vibe that's really charming. I didn't eat anything (aside from one delicious bite of pistachio gelato), so I can't comment on the restaurants. I did have a single, very tasty tequila cocktail called a Tropical Thunder. It's made with banana and Campari, and was good. I also liked the pretty, pink color. However, that one cocktail cost $18, including tip. To be fair, this is due to a 22% CHP fee that they are very up-front about. Candidly, I have no idea what the etiquette is here, so I panicked and tipped on top of that. It's hours later and I'm still not sure if I overpaid, or if that's just what we all need to do to support a living wage in the F&B industry. Either way, I might stick with soda next time. I drank my $12 (but really $18) cocktail outside in the alley, which was far more lovely an experience than you might imagine if you've never been to this particular alley. There are tables and bistro lights. I could hear live music playing from a little farther down. Very pleasant.

Yelp
Okay, the service here has always been hit or miss. Sometimes we get a great serve and others, it's always trying to flag someone to help. As for the food, each restaurant is good but I'm just reviewing the market as a whole. Their bar and drinks are nice but there's always a wait. The ambiance is great but I think I do enjoy the dairy block vibe a little more. Regardless, great food hall!
google avatar

Gayla B.

Yelp
Overall, it was pretty good. The alcohol drinks were pretty standard. We had fish tacos and a burger with fries. I wish there was an Asian option like Chinese or Ramen. The coffee shop was the best part of the place!

Yelp
Came here with my family as a part of exploring Denver's downtown area and food places. I did not know what I was in for. The atmosphere here was great, with groups of all types of people chatting, celebrating, and drinking, and the food was fantastic as well. I ended up getting fish and chips from one of the corner resturants and it was delicious. The fish was fried well and the inside was nice and moist, although it did come in 3 smaller rounded pieces when I was hoping for more. The fries were also pretty good, and the tartar sauce paired well with everything. I also got the tagalong inspired cocktail from the bar (a peanut butter chocolate old fashioned) and it was amazing as well. They even treat the entire establishment as a restaurant, and clean up after you at the tables and common areas. Although I have no complaints on the service or food, they tend to get very picky with serving people and their prices. Considering this place seems modern and new, it was a surprise that they charged a whopping 22% fee for using credit or debit card. Quite outrageous for a cashless society. Additionally, tip was included automatically, which isn't the worst thing in the world, but didn't give room for flexibility. Lastly, the bar needed one ID per one drink, a concept I've never encountered before and only posed challenges rather than ease when trying to order. Overall, a fun spot to go and try the different restaurants with some friends, but be aware of the different rules they have.

Grabbed food and took a seat at the bar for a drink. Even had a credit card sitting out on the edge ready. The three bartenders behind the bar proceeded to serve everybody except us for the next half an hour. The bartender in the second picture, looked at us multiple times. Right as we finished and we were getting ready to leave a man sat two seats from us (2nd picture) and was served right in front of us so it wasn't as if our end of the bar was closed in some way. Will never return.

Yelp
Pretty cool spot, lots of spots to eat and definitely have something for everyone. what really impressed me was how clean it all was with so many restaurants in one place. They all worked together really well. Would love to have had more details for the allergy folks like maybe a separate or marked menu.

Yelp
We stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon. They have an interesting ordering scheme - you can sit anywhere and order off of QR code menu. Be ware there is a 22% additional fee to support the staff - which I'm very supportive of but almost missed it on the bill. We ordered a double burger, Caesar salad, and Brussels sprouts. All were very good! The only negative to the space is the music is extremely loud - like can barely hear the person across from you.

Yelp
I recently visited the Denver Milk Market with high expectations, attracted by the concept of a lively food hall offering a variety of culinary options. While the overall experience was enjoyable, I left feeling frustrated and disgruntled due to the hidden "CHP" fee imposed on patrons. The Denver Milk Market is undoubtedly an exciting place, bustling with energy and a vibrant atmosphere. The selection of food stalls is impressive, offering a diverse range of cuisines that cater to different tastes and preferences. The quality of the food was generally good, and the variety ensured there was something for everyone. However, my disappointment arose when I received my bill from Mano Pastaria and noticed a mysterious "CHP" fee, amounting to a staggering 22% of the total bill. This fee was not mentioned anywhere when I placed my order, nor was it indicated on any menu or pricing board within the market. Later to discover the acronym CHP stood for "Creating Happy People." While I understand that establishments may incorporate service charges or additional fees to cover operational costs, the lack of transparency regarding the "CHP" fee felt misleading and left a sour taste in my mouth. It is essential for businesses to be upfront about their pricing structure, as hidden fees can erode trust and undermine the overall customer experience. Moreover, I found this fee to be disproportionately high compared to the service provided. While the staff was generally friendly, the self-serve model doesn't justify such a steep charge. This unexpected fee significantly inflated the total cost of my meal and left me questioning the value I received for my money. To maintain a positive reputation and foster customer loyalty, it is crucial to be transparent about pricing policies. Disclosing any additional fees upfront, prominently displaying them on menus or providing clear explanations to customers, would go a long way in ensuring a fair and satisfactory dining experience. While the Denver Milk Market undoubtedly offers an exciting culinary experience in terms of variety and ambiance, the hidden fee left me feeling dissatisfied and skeptical about returning in the future. I hope that the management will address this issue and consider revising their pricing practices to maintain the trust and satisfaction of their patrons!

Yelp
BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES! My partner and I went here after the Rockies game, lots of options to choose from - we decided on the Pasta station called "Mano Pastaria". I got the Fusilli and she got the Gluten Free version. At $22 and $27 respectively, we thought the price was a bit above average for a pasta dish but we were relatively happy with the quality. To order, you walk up to the counter and tell the service worker behind the register, what you'd like. They handed us a buzzer (the type that lights up when your food is ready) then we sat down for about 20min as they prepared the food. When the buzzer went off, I walked to the same counter and picked up the plates. What we weren't happy with is: the HIDDEN CHARGES, a built-in service fee that they disguise under the acronym "CHP Fee". How would anyone know what this fee is? I called customer service to ask because there's no explanation. (Customer service didn't answer and never called back so I googled it.) Here is what I found: "CHP Fee: The CHP (Creating Happy People) Fee is a 22% service fee that goes to support the entire team behind your experience at our concepts." AKA The owner is TOO CHEAP to pay live-able wages and is DISHONESTLY SNEAKING HIDDEN CHARGES on to your bill! If the owner wants their employees to be happy, then give them a raise and raise the prices accordingly. At least, in that case, customers can see the actual cost of the product instead of being forced to pay a service fee they aren't aware of until after the bill is paid. (We weren't even sat down and served at the table lol what a joke) This should illegal and will be illegal one day. I'll never support a business that is this dishonest again to their patrons again.

Yelp
Love, love, looove the concept of Denver Milk Market! This is such a happenin' little spot to hang out and grab some delicious food and booze. The Denver Milk Market is compromised of a collection of specialty food shops and restaurants. It's conveniently located in Denver's historic Dairy Block, and you can order food from any of the restaurants right from your phone using a QR code right from your table, and they'll deliver your food right to you! There's plenty of seating in the adorable Dairy Block Alley, but you can also visit one of the bars nearby and they'll deliver it to you while you're at the bar. I was doing some wine tasting at Blanchard Family Vineyards and decided to order a sandwich from S&G Salumeria. It was super easy to order and customize my sandwich through their website, and it was delivered pretty quickly. By the way, the sandwiches from S&G are the BOMB.COM!!! If you like fresh and meaty Italian sammies, you MUST order from S&G! There are tons of other food options to choose from like pizza and pasta to lobster rolls to burgers. Such an awesome concept and a great way to highlight many of the local restaurants, bars, and shops in the neighborhood. Hopefully more metro city areas in other states will adopt this kind of food hall setup.

Yelp
Food markets are the best. The milk market makes ordering easy; you just sit down and use the QR code to order anything to your table (except alcohol). Someone does stop by to bring you water at your table and ask if you want any drinks. I've gotten a few different things here and it's always been good and with such a variety of food, you can't go wrong with a large group or if you are in the mood for multiple food items.

Yelp
Ghost Tortilla serves above-average Mexican food that's tasty. A solid choice for a satisfying meal.

Yelp
Love ALL the food here! The hubs, my sister, and I came last night and it was so easy to get all the food you want at your table and at your literal fingertips. You scan the QR code on your table and begin ordering through Toast Tab. Once you place your order, food is made and brought to you. We ordered chips and queso from Ghost Tortilla, wings from Lou's, fusilli from mano pastaria, and brussel sprouts and irish fries from Ruth's Butchery. All of it was amazing and was plenty for the 3 of us including taking leftovers home. I can't believe I've gone this long before coming to Denver Milk Market!

Yelp
I must not understand tipping anymore. The Milk Market adds 22% tip to your bill. The food was kind of expensive but pretty good. With the 22% "tip" my $18 Ruben sandwich was almost $22 no sides no drink. Back to the tipping issue, we ordered at the counter, picked up our own food when our buzzer went off and bussed our own table after lunch. The "tip" came with an explanation that the 22% is split among all the employees from managers to dishwashers. I'm not sure how this business model is supposed to work. Are customers paying employees? Tipping used to be a way of recognizing exceptional service. Im not sure what service I am tipping on given the self-serve nature of Milk Market.

Yelp
Honestly was not impressed at all. Atmosphere was dark and cold, no comfortable tables, mostly high tops. Food was ridiculously expensive at just about every stall. Our sandwiches were good, but we could have had something just as good if not better at a take out sub shop down the way for half the price. And a service fee, but I will say the person at the sandwich shop let us know was a thing and tipping was not expected on top of it-a pleasant surprise as most places try to get you to tip on top of it. Can't say I'll be returning.

Yelp
In my humble opinion, there can never be too many food halls. There's a reason food courts at malls used to be the place to go. It's so easy and fun to come to a place like this with friends and know that someone will find something they would like. The MOO bar drinks I tried were yummy, especially the sangria. Just know they already add tip to the bill. I also got food from Ghost Tortilla (I think that is the name) and it was pretty much what I was expecting. Everything was pretty fast, so great in a time crunch. It's the speed of fast casual restaurants (maybe a smidge longer) but way better-- including in terms of ~vibes~ The place is cute, it's in a prime location (super easy walk from union), and I do plan to bring out-of-town friends here next.
