Best poke I’ve had outside of Hawaii! So happy to be able to eat the marinated fish for once since everything is gluten-free. Great topping selection. There were just 6 barstools inside and parking is paid in a garage or on the street. Pictured is a build your own bowl.

I have been coming here since they opened, I think 2016/17ish. I refer to this place as THE best poke in town and I talk about it to everyone who would listen! Today for a first time ever I have ben disappointed. I always order 1/2 of each rice in my bow. The rice was in places overcooked and in places burnt. I had to pull the lumped rice out of my bow and barely was able to eat it. I have never ever had rice here that was so unpleasant and I am hoping the Chef is reading this so they can make the necessary change to make the rice the perfection it was since opening day. I am your biggest champion and I have brought so many people to you because your food has always been outstanding.I love the new mushrooms, spicy seaweed salad and the Calamari salad is one of my faves. All the ingredients have always been fresh and really great options to choose from. I do not want to loose this place. I eat there often and it really will be sad if it gets ruined because of an oversight. Rice is such an important part of this experience. Please, please, please! I would like to change my review to 5 star!

Google
First timer to DPC and very much impressed! Went with two of the signature bowls and the ingredients were very fresh and tasty. Can definitely tell that the fish has not been frozen as they claim and the mix of flavors and textures come out very well. Portions are solid for the $15/bowl price and the staff was on point, especially just before closing time. Logistic note: you can’t order online past 5:30, but walk-in was still available.

Karla

Google
Bad service, the cashier was very rude. She didn't want us to sit outside with our dog, this place is definitely not a dog friendly place. Thank goodness we went to the poke place, which was also gluten-free, just a block away.

Google
Best poke I've found in the area yet. Small space, just a counter and some outdoor seating. Fish is very fresh. Some esoteric ingredients here, which sets this place apart from others (sea asparagus, hijiki algae, enoki mushroom, etc). Bamboo rice base was very delicate and pleasant. They definitely experiment here with different flavors (Yuzu Basil ponzu?). It is pricey ($18ish per bowl), but quality is unmatched. Parking situation is street parking, but I had no troubles at lunchtime during the weekday.

Google
The sauce they put on the rice (or the salad if you choose that as your base) is ridiculously salty. So salty it burns your tongue. I’m not sure how they have such a fantastic rating when they cheat and add so much freakin salt. Also, when you order a bowl with white rice, be prepared to be served “green tea infused” rice. It’s literally green. What a bummer because this place is right next to where I live and I love a good poke bowl. Honestly, if you’re craving a poke bowl, maybe try a sushi restaurant within the area. Because the portion size isn’t worth the price either here…

Google
I like their poke bowls but decided to switch it up and try their inari poke pocket. Wasn't a big fan of it. Not as much protein as I thought I was going to get. It was good as a snack. But I think I'll stick to the bowls. It's a small place and went on a Saturday and man was it crowded. There was like 10 of us inside and the line to pay was kinda frustrating because we weren't sure who was paying and who was ordering. I don't really blame the staff it was the big family that was behind me but the staff didn't really do much to help that situation. Reminder to not go during lunch on weekends. Would go back but during different hours.

Google
Denver Poke Company has been my go to place for poke for a while. It's hard to find another poke place that has the level of touch in everything that goes into the poke bowl. I overheard the owner say one time "I would never serve anything that I did not think was delicious". At first listen/read, this may sound a bit pompous but it really is true. There was not one time that I ordered a bowl here and thought "I wish this was different". You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. I would honestly give it more stars if I could. I would say the only downfall I can really think of is that during typical busy hours (Fridays, Saturdays, and after work hours), the parking can be a bit difficult as there is only street parking available (or expensive lot parking) on the very busy "Platte Street" but still totally worth it.

Yelp
No wait.....Until Noon, then a crowd lines up to get their low carb, high protein lunch fix. First time trying marinated fish salad. Do I feel healthy? Yes! Was it tasty? Absolutely. Am I a fan? Not really. Why? Hard to say. The Masubi, a slice of spam atop rice, rolled up with seaweed wrap, was for what I'd return. This says more about me than Denver Poke Co: There's just not enough; like the sign says, it's an expensive appetizer. Outdoor seating was pleasant. Practically no indoor seating.

Yelp
Came here after a long drive from our ski trip. Ended up getting the salmon and tuna bowls. What I will say, this poke was honestly amazing. Small details like warm seasoned rice felt so nice when complemented with the colder traditional poke items. Everything was absolutely tasty and the only thing I would do differently is just make your own bowl. The only thing I think this place could do better is portion size. I felt like I needed 1.5 orders to be content here, but otherwise really enjoyed this place

Yelp
Best poke I've had in Denver. Workers there were super nice and would give recommendations when asked (and all the recs were so yummy). Small place on platte st but has a bit of indoor high top window seating and outdoor spots. There are speciality bowls, but I built my own bowl and boy was it AMAZING! Super fresh ingredients and can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
I love this place! Best poke I've ever had. Everything is so fresh and the portions are perfect. I eat it at least a few times a month when I'm craving poke.

Yelp
This was my most visited restaurant during my stay in Denver. It was so good! I've never been to Hawaii, but I have had poke all across the continental U.S. and other countries, and this was definitely one of my favorites! Portions are big, prices reasonable (a big bowl for ~17$ pre-tip), the line moves pretty quickly, and they have a ton of great toppings to choose from. Some topping recs: sea asparagus - so good! So crunchy! A little tangy! Cucumber - they use the small cucumbers that imo are better; spicy salmon; baby octopus salad (tangy, maybe a bit gingery); spicy bean sprouts; ogo seaweed mix (haven't seen this offered anywhere else - not as salty or artificially green as your usual seaweed salad); nori; and I love that their brown rice has quinoa mixed in, and that they have the very unique bamboo rice option available (not much discernible flavor, but supposedly healthier than regular ol' white rice)! Ambiance-wise this is a very hip and casual place, and super popular during lunch. They have some limited seating inside and a little table outside, and a nice water dispenser. Definitely will be back if I'm in the area!

Yelp
Poke, poke, I love POKE! After two visits to Denver Poke Company, I can safely say, "I'm a fan!" Why you ask? Let's talk about it: 1. Denver Poke Company is located on Platte St. in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood. There's limited metered street parking nearby, but convenient light rail access. 2. The staff is super friendly and more than happy to guide you through building the poke bowl of your dreams. 3. They offer my favorite Aloha Maid Pass-O- Guava drinks to go with my bowl. Def the perfect pairing. 4. They serve up either pre-selected bowls or build your own customizations. I opted for a customized bowl piled high with bamboo infused rice, salmon, spicy tuna, seaweed salad, crab salad, edamame, pickled ginger, furikakae, and spicy poki sauce. YUM! 5. Everything tasted wonderfully fresh and extra delicious. Just how poke should. Denver Poke Company is just what I needed to curb my poke craving.

Yelp
Adorable shop with a fantastic assortment of toppings. The fish was so fresh and I liked the unique options. You order your bowl at the counter and can customize it any way you like. They have seating outside until 6 pm and then it becomes take out only. A very tasty place to have a fresh meal.

Yelp
So I haven't write a review in over 5 years but went to this place today and this is how it went. On an empty restaurant ordered two spice salmon bowls, which come with salmon, rice, avocado and kimchi that's all. Got home and one of the bowls literally only had rice some greens and salmon no avocado or kimchi. I called to complain, person told me he could "get" me next time that's all. For 17 dollars for a regular size bowl with not a lot of salmon one of the bowls was literally 17 dollars for rice and lettuce. Beyond believable if you're going to charge those prices at least do it right by your customers, again it was just me and the employee who made the bowls and he still messed up, very frustrating unfortunately.

Kaycee S.

Yelp
Love the variety, lots of micro greens & options, even had bamboo rice. Definitely super healthy and boujie. Fish look good. Price was decent. Only thing, the spicy ponzu sauce was extra salty. I couldn't finish my poke bowl because of it. Friendly staff, small location. Might come back if they don't make the ponzus salty.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Not only did everything taste so fresh, there were new bases to try that I've never had at a poke restaurant like sprout salad! WOW! You've got to try it! The sesame oil and garlic soaked into the crisp sprouts is a game changer! I loved it! I built my own bowl: Poke bowl with sprout salad as the base, spicy salmon, tuna, coco aminos, spicy poki sauce, spicy crab salad, micro greens, seaweed salad, calamari salad, spicy mayo, nori, furikake, wasabi tobiko, pickled ginger, sesame seeds! It was so delicious. I can't wait to come back for more! It'll be hard to even change up my order, because it was sooo yummy! I also loved that they offer free, iced water! I felt very refreshed and hydrated leaving this establishment! I will absolutely be back soon!

Yelp
Quick review for a quick experience. I was coworking at Galvanize right down the street from Denver Poke Company and saw an online ordering option. Perfect being able to debate all my desired toppings from behind my laptop instead of awkwardly standing in front of the person building my bowl. They're super generous with ingredients, and there are loads of options. Easy to place and pick up my order. Would opt for this system again next time!

Yelp
This place is fire. I've had a lot of Poke in Hawaii and I'd put this Poke up against any I've had. Super fresh and healthy. Everything is homemade.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Both employees were uneducated and rude about me entering the business with my registered service dog. Then they refused to refill their empty tap water out of some sort of misplaced childish spite.
google avatar

Kristin D.

Yelp
This place is really great! I actually just had poke at another place downtown a couple of weeks ago, and Denver Poke Co. absolutely blew them out of the water. I had the Hawaiian bowl with bamboo rice, and tried out their spam musubi. The musubi was good, but the bowl was great - super fresh, tasty combinations, especially with that spicy mayo. Sat outside with a friend and there was a line out the door the entire time, I will definitely be going back!

Yelp
The food and Denver Poke Company is excellent. It's great for a quick lunch, perfect location and good service. Wouldn't change anything. Da 808 is my go to.

Yelp
If a place like Denver Poke Company existed in my neighborhood, my pandemic bod would have looked very different. This restaurant makes eating healthy effortless and something to look forward to. Now that life is slowly returning to normal and we're going out again, I'll find any reason to pick up poke for lunch or have it picked up by my husband if either of us happen to be in the area. REI shopping trip? Let's pick up lunch at Denver Poke Company while we're at it. Visiting a museum in the vicinity with our child? Fuel up at Denver Poke Company before we head in. My husband is hanging out with his coworkers somewhere on Platte Street? He better be bringing me back some food from Denver Poke Company. My favorite is the Sweet Citrus Salmon, which is a savory blend of veggies, fruit in the form of mandarin orange, and fresh salmon cubes. It's also my preschooler's favorite, and a size small provides just enough food for both of us. I also enjoy the Spicy Tuna and Chili Mango Salmon bowls. This place is my current obsession, and the only thing that would make it even better is if the owner opened up a location closer to me or expanded the delivery zone.

Valerie B.

Yelp
Delicious! Fresh! Perfect spices and colors! The service was nice and laid-back. Clean and organized! We loved entry bite! Being gluten free (not by choice), it felt great to know I would be happy and safe with every awesome bite. Large servings - can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Step 1: don't confuse Denver Poke with Poke House, which is a block away on the same street, so you don't end up yelling at one establishment for not having your order ready while the other one is wondering where you are to get your pickup. Step 2: call ahead within a block of the restaurant so they run to the street and bang on your window while you're still in traffic to give your order, thereby saving you from having to find parking. Pro tip. After the fun of ordering online, getting it wrong so they call you to confirm that you don't know how to order, waiting in your car for 5 minutes at the wrong poke place thinking they'll bring the order to the car, blaming them for naming their restaurant too much like the other one, and feeling embarrassed for all of that, I was finally able to enjoy an amazing citrus salmon poke bowl. I would do all of that all over again because the poke was exceptionally fresh and satisfying.
google avatar

Yelp
The best poke in Denver hands down. I have tried them all and Denver Poke Company has the freshest tasting fish at any fast casual poke restaurant. The combination of the fresh ingredients and the good sized portions are worth the extra $$.

Yelp
I absolutely love this poke spot. Their selection of fish is amazing and it's always super fresh. They also have huge portions and usually don't eat everything in one sitting. I highly recommend this spot!!

Bridget K.

Yelp
BEST poke I've ever had, I now struggle to enjoy poke anywhere else. All ingredients are super fresh, the service is quick, and you get a lot for the price in my opinion. I wish they were open on Sundays!!!

Yelp
12/10 my favorite Poke place in Denver. The staff is SO friendly, and always make me feel welcome when I stop by. I make the point to drive across town to get this poke, because of their unique toppings and quality of the food. Fish, veggies and toppings are always fresh, they offer some more unique bases (bamboo rice, brown rice/quinoa mix, rice specials that they announce online), and generally have more sauces available to choose from than other poke places in town. I enjoy how there are three different types of seaweed salad available, freshly clipped microgreens, mango, mandarin oranges and three flavors of tobiko! I'm always ready for a nap after eating here, it's super worthwhile and will keep me full past my set dinner time. I seem to always show up around 11am when the shop is just opening, so I'm able to get great service from the owner and his staff. I'll be coming back, it's just a matter of if it's this week or next week....

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Love this place! I probably go at least once a week. Super fresh and good servings sizes. I was a little disappointed to see the bigger bowl option off the menu. I would buy the kalamari salad by the lb if I could! Sometimes they close early for weather / holidays / etc so I try to usually check social media before coming in after noticing this a fe times. Only thing that bothers me is the last few times I've come in at 545/6pm, they have already cleaned / put up all the chairs so you can't stay and eat. I think it's a little weird since it doesn't close til 7pm so I've had to eat in my car a few times

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Found this place through the Denver dining pass book-- we ordered towards the end of the day when orders were piling up. As a result, we got what appears to have been someone else's order. Luckily we were able to bring it back in time and have our order remade; the staff were very friendly and made up for the mistake. I loved every part of my order-- I got "Da 808" with the sauce on the side and some other add-ons. This place uses *fresh* fruit (pineapple and mango) in their toppings. The dedication paid to the quality ingredients really shows. Thus, it goes without saying that the the fish itself is stellar. The spicy tuna was tender well-seasoned and not covered in mayonnaise as I've had at other poke places. The octopus, a unique feature here, was thinly sliced, fresh and just chewy but not rubbery. The other toppings were a great complement to the dish-- 3 kinds of seaweed are offered and a multitude of crunchy toppings including rice puff, chili crisp, furikake, crispy garlic/onion. As for portion sizes, the regular bowls without extra portions of protein were plenty for us!

Yelp
My fave poke joint in town! Great mix of additions and so fresh and delicious!! I always leave with a big smile!

Yelp
Hands down the best poke I've ever had!! Fish is always fresh! Staff is always so friendly! & it is always so yummy! I highly recommend Denver Poke to anyone! 17/10!!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
My husband and I order lunch from here frequently when we're working from home, and we're always pleased! You can build your own poke bowl while ordering online, and you can literally add every topping you could think of! Most of them aren't extra charge which is nice. When you pick up your food, you can tell they don't skimp on the portions. My bowl is always packed full. The fish is good quality, everything tastes fresh, and their ingredients are great! Would definitely recommend this spot.

Michele L Beecher B.

Yelp
So sneaky for a counter service restaurant with no seating will charge 20% gratuity after you sign your credit card receipt. Not cool.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! This is my second time to Denver Poke Company and boy did it blow me away this go around. The first time I went was a few years ago when the only poke I knew was Poke City (don't get me wrong I like PC but it's definitely not authentic and I just pack my bowl full of stuff). Denver Poke Company has beyond fresh seafood and produce. I made a create your own bowl with some suggestions from the lovely lady working. They had been so busy that my husbands bowl was the last full bowl of bamboo rice; so I did half bamboo rice and half greens. Man, I'm so glad this happened because I loved the half and half! It will now be my new go to. I tried their spicy ponzu sauce and it was just spot on. Everything about Denver Poke Company is top notch! I can't wait to go back again.
google avatar

Craig T.

Yelp
Unless your a billionaire, millionaire or money doesn't matter, try Denver Poke Company. I'm sorry but $16 (in Denver) for a small two teaspoon sized scoops of protein and dribbles of sides is far from worth it in my book. NYC or LA poke prices and value are cheaper.. Must be all the "imported" fish to Denver. Lol The fact that with everything in my bowl it never even reached the top of the small size bowl is proof enough. I will admit, the quality and freshness was very high and beyond reproach. Maybe I'm upset cause I just wanted more. It was very tasty
google avatar

Adrienne L.

Yelp
I freaking LOVE this place. They're super nice and attentive to whatever requests or needs you have. I pick up my food from downing location and it's so easy. I'm sure it's really straight forward at the original location too. Here's what I do every time. 1) order online. Pay online. 2) call them directly to request where you'd liked to pick up (downing VS platte st) 3) call them again when you arrive at the location and they'll bring food right out to you. Super quick and easy process. And should I tell you this is the FRESHEST quality poke I've had in Denver and I've had a few places of poke around Denver. Never got sick from here. Yayyy. And It feels great to support local small family businesses !

Yelp
Denver Poke Company.... Its definitely a gusty choice to open a Poke establishment a block away from that other Poke establishment in this neighborhood let alone. Yes, you are tiny. Yes you can ONLY offer 5 counter seats inside your tiny establishment. In terms of service you shine thru in my eyes... This recent visit was on Wednesday December 20th 2017. I had lunch here. Thank God, I managed to get to seat and have my Lunch at one of the counter seats. I opt for the LARGE Bowl BYO (Build Your Own) - ($14.95), with tax is ($16.15). For my lunch I opt for Octopus, Spicy Tuna, Bamboo Rice, Spicy Poki, Mango, Pineapple, Cucumber, Seasoned Seaweed, Serrano Pepper, Crispy Garlic and Tobiko. I like and enjoyed my lunch at Denver Poke Company. Thank you Denver Poke Company. I will see you whenever I am in this neighborhood! Yelp
When I moved to Denver, I was constantly craving poke bowls due to my unhealthy habit in Chicago. I hadn't been able to find a good place until I randomly stumbled upon Denver Poke Company on my way from Blue Sparrow Company. They had 3 signature bowls, but I opted to make my own. I also prefer a 50/50 ratio of salad to rice and they were able to do that for me! What I also appreciated that all toppings were unlimited, except for avocado (not surprised). You can choose from 2 sizes, but why go for small? There is limited seating, but I was able to get a seat at the counter out into the street. Now that I know this place exists AND they delivery, my unhealthy habit from Chicago is being continued here...

Jenny D.

Yelp
One of the best musubis I've had in Denver! Ahi was awesome too! Really small but we were able to sit at the counter and enjoy the people watching
google avatar

Abby E.

Yelp
This poke was out of this world. I eat poke often (about once a week). When we walked in the dining space was pretty small and cramped. There were a few people in the line ahead of us but that didn't discourage us and we just waited for a few minutes. The Bamboo Rice was so delicious, I got to try sea asparagus for the first time and I really liked it! The girls behind the counter were very knowledgeable and kind. I appreciated how they took time to discuss different ingredients with me (due to allergies). By the time we finished in line we were able to find a seat as some people had left which was great. The restrooms were very clean and well kept which I appreciate. The water was either extremely cold or extremely hot which isn't a biggie, just something I noticed. If you happen to be in the area this is the perfectly place to stop for lunch. If it is warm enough I would suggest grabbing some food and heading to the park for a picnic!

Yelp
I'm originally from California and I have yet to find the perfect poke place for me. This is the one. I was skeptical on the bamboo rice but it was very good. The fish melted in your mouth (I got the tuna and salmon). I wasn't super hungry when I bought the bowl but I finished it, it was delicious. The staff is super friendly!!! I however did forget my card at the counter and the cashier ran it out to me. I cant thank him enough!!

Yelp
The Denver Poke Co. Has no buisness being as good as it is... this review is actually spurred by eating poke bowl out of conscience from somewhere else in the Denver Metro and being completely disgusted. If you have a shred of self respect go and see Freddie and let him slap together a bowl for you. The technique in the toppings alone will make you a believer.
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
I was hungry and heading for bubble tea down the street when I walked past DPC and decided to give it a try. The clean aesthetic of the restaurant, the attentive assembling of the bowl - I really enjoyed watching the many details being executed with efficient care - and the meal itself, all contributed to a quietly perfect experience. There were multiple garnishes and seasonings in the Chili Mango Salmon bowl, all of which were clearly intentional. The flavors worked well together, and I especially appreciated the different textures. It was a memorably delicious meal. I went in on a whim, and am looking forward to return visits.

Lex M.

Yelp
Very fresh ingredients. I do wish there was more seating indoors but food was sooo good didn't care about the seating.

Yelp
100% GLUTEN FREE RESTAURANT. BEST POKE IN DENVER!!! I'm so pleased to not have to worry when I order here. Every sauce is amazing and they always hook it up. My husband and I love this place

Brent D.

Yelp
By far my favorite Poke spot in Denver. Every ingredient is of the highest quality. Highly recommend their spicy tuna bowl with bamboo rice!
google avatar

Ivy S.

Yelp
This place is a must. Given that I have a sibling who lives in Hawaii. I've had some pretty amazing fresh poke in my life. Since I've moved here from Vegas, it's been hard to find great poke here. Because I live nearby, I decided to stop on in today to try it out. Ordered the spicy tuna with bamboo white rice and had them throw in some mango. Can I say OMG I was surprised how fresh the tuna is and that bamboo rice though . The flavor is on point. Everything is fresh and most importantly the fish. Now I'm sitting here wondering why I haven't tried this place sooner. I'm officially a fan and will be coming back. If you're looking for a new Poke spot, you should check this place out.

Yelp
I haven't been the biggest fan of poke lately, I think particularly because it's so hard to put together a mixture that I really enjoy. However we were taken to dpc by a friend who swears by this place... and oh man they did not disappoint. There are like 5 bowls that you can choose from, so if you're not up for making your own creation.. I'd go with one of theirs. I believe I went with the spicy tuna, and I was blown away. I typically don't like it when my poke bowls are too overwhelming (too many different ingredients, sauce, etc) but their spicy tuna bowl seemed pretty simple with all the flavor. In addition, they also had uni the day we came.., UNI?! Who serves uni at poke shots?? I really didn't expect much from their uni... but WOW! It was soooooo fresh, I mean like their uni was better than some of the sushi restaurants that I've been to. Found my new favorite poke joint :)
google avatar

Gomez A.

Yelp
Can't believe I haven't reviewed this shop yet. We're eating our third - I think - take out and it's as delicious as previous orders. Everything tastes fresh, the fish is as fresh as one could wish (as it should be in any poke or sushi joint) and the place _smells_ clean and delicious. On the zeitgeist tip, everyone was wearing masks and gloves, restrictions on customers were being enforced, and their precautions were good and made sense. I dropped in on a drive-by impulse, with call-ahead customers ahead of me, and two folks in line, and I STILL walked out of there in under ten minutes. They've even improved the decor since they opened, not that I care much. Honestly, I hate to gush, but I can't think of any way they could improve, short of being open 24 hours or some other kind of novel silliness.

Yelp
Loving the COVID updates too! This place is my go to for supporting local businesses and getting my sushi fix in since my normal sushi restaurants are still closed. They are doing great at bringing food to your car, which is a great bonus since it's really hard to find parking. Wish they offered this service before as it's such a small place that most people likely get food to go usually anyways. But so glad it's still open and doing really well with handling COVID and cleanliness and so forth.

Yelp
Best Poke place in Denver. Great value, excellent and fresh food, great service. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Small location, decent selection, delicious flavors. This is near Commons Park in downtown denver, which makes for easily accessible walking to other fun activities such as the Plate River. Due to the small area space they are only allowing three guests in at a time, so I might recommend calling in your order if you're in a hurry.

Yelp
My favorite part was the three types of Kale salad. Very down to earth spot. My only complaint is the selection of protein. I was really craving eel! Other than that it's a must visit for my poke lovers. Oh and can't beat the edible flower garnish!
