Everything here is a little pricey, especially since most of the food here averaged around $10-$15. However, they do have great options for buying honey, and the best part is that their honey is locally grown. Urban Farm also has a vintage clothing section, which was unfortunately out of my price range at clothes averaging $50-$60 and the cap being $40, but it was nice to see. They also have unique spice mixes (including mulling spice), fruit butters, great apple cider donuts, and fresh squash. Parking is a challenge with the gravel road affecting your tires.

I’ve just discovered DePaul’s recently and it’s become a fast favorite of mine. It’s like a little NOVA sanctuary- I find myself coming here after a hard day at work or just to get respite from the everyday. There’s so many great plants and flowers to choose from and I love that they have a selection of food from McCutcheon’s as well as other local produce. I especially love the treasures and gems inside the cottage hidden in the back- Sam is the best and has amazing finds, new and vintage! I love supporting them and shopping local.

Google
During the time of this post they have peaches, different variety of apples and a certain fruit I have not tried yet. . . Kiwi berries! I loved the outside decor' and of course the hard working pollinators : ) Great place for the kiddos . . . No worries there will be more pumpkins since fall is right around the corner. Customer service was outstanding and the male employee was quite knowledgeable of the plants and produce!

Google
Great service and kind folks! It feels like a movie here in the winter and the products are often from other local dealers. We always get a fresh tree for Christmas and they surprised us with a 30% off sale because we bought so close to Christmas. I highly recommend stopping by here if you get Christmas trees for the 12 days after Christmas. Sometimes they provide cider and a fire pit. A great place to stop by with kids or just an outdoor refresh. Love it here!

Quality of the plans are excellent. Prices for the quality is fair. I do love the shopping carts :) lol. Love the Many different Varieties of the tomato seedlings/plants.

Google
This place is adorable and has amazing variety! The annuals were cheap and every plant is beautifully grown and taken care of. I’ve been back multiple times just because it’s enjoyable and beautiful. They also sell various other things like pots, candles, pickled items, and more. Worth stopping!! The plants pictured below were $6 each.

Yelp
This place was so magical I didnt want to leave. Whoever designed this place is truly blessed with a gift. Amazing selection of strong healthy plants. Lots of variety I haven't seen at any other local nurseries. They even had some varieties I've been looking for but failed to find at other local places. I love the brand they carry that were big n healthy, with the colorful and easy to read plant tags. I know it's just a tag but they're nicest ones I've ever seen. There was a little area with 2 chairs, a stick roof and plants all around. I didnt want leave as I felt at peace there. To my surprise they carried some produce. Got some peaches that were delicious. All my years living in this area I never knew about this place. I was driving to the store and just happened to look to my left. Being curious I made a u-turn and ended up being the highlight of my day. I will definitely be doing all my gardening needs here going forward.

Yelp
This was the perfect little farm to grab some pumpkins during the fall season! Parking is ample, lot is in the back or on the side. They had so many types of pumpkins along with homemade items such as popcorn, jam, etc. Loved how they made the pumpkin display for photos!

LaVonda J.

Yelp
Just ok Didn't have what I was looking for. A bit overpriced on my opinion. Probably won't return.

Tara F.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to visit in the Fall! We went looking for pumpkins and left with so much more than we expected! The place is located directly off the main road, with parking spaces on both ends. There are little wagon carts for use, trust me, you'll end up needing one! They had all types of pumpkins, squash and gourds outside, along with gorgeous mums and other plants. There are spots all throughout where you can snap the perfect Fall picture of the family. There's an indoor area with more plants, pots, candles, and other little gifts. There's also ice cream sandwiches that are DELICIOUS!!! I highly recommend those! They also have different baking mixes and apple cider donuts. This will definitely be a new must for our yearly Fall decor!

Phia Marie C.

Yelp
We passed by this cute little pumpkin patch on our way to Shenandoah Valley one beauti-fall day! They have a lot of pumpkins in different sizes and colors! I was in awe! They also have a small shop that sells all things fall! They even have ice cream and apple cider donuts! And the farm has a lot of picture worthy spots with pumpkins as your background! If you're looking for a cute pumpkin patch, this is your place!

Patina C.

Yelp
This adorable urban farm is family owned and operated, making it that much more worth the drive every year to pick our pumpkins and grab flowers for our front porch and deck. We usually buy an array of pumpkins and gourds. I love that they have mini white ones that match perfectly with our decor. They have a wide variety of mums in different colors. We always get burnt orange, pink, or burgundy ones to brighten up our house. Although slightly expensive, they have the best kettle corn, fresh apple cider, and apple cider donuts. In addition they have tons of dried flowers and cute little trinkets/decorations. They have several backdrops that make the perfect photo op for the Fall.

Vina H.

Yelp
If you are looking for a cute small farm with the cutest pumpkins and also varieties of pumpkins in the fairfax area, look no further, stop by here! They have the cutest decors with a pumpkin house for photoshoot and cutest pumpkins on display.... Love this fall season here! I did a photoshoot this weekend here and it's super cute. Staff are friendly and price are reasonable for pumpkins. Mums are a bit on the expensive side. A con for this place though is their parking space, it's not big at all and looks like it can fit most is 20 cars so just be on the look out for the weekends since it will be crowded. Plan to arrive early!

Marki L.

Yelp
We stumbled upon the cutest little place for all your fall needs. They have a nice selection of pumpkins for carving, heirloom pumpkins, all fall flowers like mums. And of course the displays for photos are the best part. I was able to get cutest fall pics with the family here. So if you are looking for a nice easy place for fall minus all of the "festival" type hubbub, this is the perfect place. I took away one star cause the parking is a bit dicey.

Yelp
DePaul's is an oasis from the sea of box store nurseries in NOVA. It is a true gem with high quality plants, knowledgable staff, excellent customer service which they ensure I am well taken care of every visit. Fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms and a cozy indoor cottage w/ unique planters, gardening tools, candles... The fact that it is a family own business makes it even more special. The entire family is extremely creative and their recommendations are thoughtful. Have shopped here since it opened and appreciate the kind warm welcome every time I visit. Thank you DePaul's for all that you do for our community.

Kristopher J.

Yelp
I love this little farm! I live just down the road and it's really nice to just walk down the street and see all the beautiful plants they have for sale. They have a huge assortment of plants to browse. I also enjoy the fruit preserves they sell, and the fresh apples.

Tanisha S.

Yelp
We've been getting our Christmas tree here the last 3 years. Always a great experience, beautiful healthy trees and nice accessories.

A V.

Yelp
Wonderful selection of flowering plants of both annuals and perennials, along with fantastic customer service!

Kimi S.

Yelp
During the pandemic, one of my family's favorite pastimes has been to visit all of the local nurseries and garden centers for a breath of fresh air and decor inspiration. We've gone near and far but was so surprised to see DePaul's Urban Farm located just down the street from where we live! At Christmas time expect twinkling lights, roaring bonfires with Adirondack chairs to lounge in, Christmas trees both big and small, handcrafted wreaths, and all around holiday cheer. All that was missing was a big mug of hot cocoa (but I'm sure that is something you can pack while you walk around). This is a completely open air market so we felt very safe walking around the different aisles (my tiny preschooler basically thought we dropped her in a forest!) and everyone wore masks. To be honest, prices were ... a lot ... higher than what you would find at Home Depot but with every purchase you are supporting a locally-owned, family business so I didn't mind too much. Plus, the experience was a lot more pleasant than running around those orange aisles. The staff here is absolutely lovely. My new wreath and pine garlands bring so much needed cheer to my home. Thank you DePauls!

Hannah B.

Yelp
Lovely little spot to find pumpkins this fall. They had a lot of unique varieties (green, white, lumpy, etc) and plenty of standard future jack-o-lantern pumpkins as well. It was a bit crowded, but that's to be expected on a sunny fall day. We were able to park on site. We also got a jar of fig and cinnamon jam which we have been enjoying on toast since our visit - highly recommend!

Emma Z.

Yelp
I've driven by DePaul's countless numbers of times but only stopped here once. Fantastic! I came for pumpkin season and will be back. It's the perfect hybrid--not a full farm that's two hours from DC, but also not a couple of stacks of pumpkins outside of a supermarket. There's practically any kind of pumpkin or gourd you'd want here. The space looks small from the road but it's bigger than I expected when I pulled in. There is also a shop that sells local seasonal foods. The kettle corn, pumpkin butter, and apple cider are amazing. I also want to come back to get real local honey. Absolutely worth checking out DePaul's for your seasonal needs.

Aurora D.

Yelp
So cute, great fall experience and a ton of pumpkin options to choose. Atmosphere was lovely!

Katherine T.

Yelp
This place was absolutely adorable and amazing for its size. It's right on the side of the road and they have parking on both sides of the farm set up. We bought two big pumpkins and a bunch of little ones, some apple cider all for under $50. I loved that they're dog friendly because my pup loved sniffing around. A wonderful little place!

MaryJane O.

Yelp
All the cut your tree places were out by Black Friday. We were so happy to find a tree farm that helped me a cut out tree and tied it to the car with a trucker's hitch knot (so we were told). Service was friendly and amazing. Check them out if you are looking for a fresh tree! We'll be back in the Spring to get some flowers and melons!

Pam D.

Yelp
Tis the season for pumpkin patch photos. This was my first time at DePaul's Urban Farm, and I thought it was so cute! It's a great place to bring the whole family, because they had a nice variety of pumpkins to choose from.

Daulphine H.

Yelp
The best urban farm in the DMV area. This place is reminiscent of my grandfather's garden, small yet, charming and lovely.

Graham W.

Yelp
Best Christmas tree availability and quality every Christmas. Best pumpkins in the fall and a great assortment of annuals and perennials each spring. They have a nice craft store inside as well. It's a staple in the community. Oh and local honey. Love it here

Jennifer V.

Yelp
I was trying to find a place that wasn't too far from the city and this fit the bill! It's located about 15-20 minutes from Tyson Town center . There are parking on both sides of the farm as well. It's not huge but it offers a wide variety of pumpkins and florals . They also sell apple cider donuts as well! Also have about 3-4 backdrops that would be amazing to take pictures for a quick family photo for fall.

Ann C.

Yelp
DePaul's was full of everything we wanted. They had tons of mums, pumpkins, apples, hay bales and it was all so beautifully displayed. My husband and I so enjoyed our time there and love everything we brought home.

Allyson D.

Yelp
I normally post about restaurants, but decided to write a review about this place considering I've been looking for a cute pumpkin patch. This place is definitely a really cute pumpkin patch to visit. It's smaller than most, but definitely a place to visit for cute photos, picking out pumpkins/flowers/ and etc. their parking lot is a bit small, but do-able. Everyone is wearing a mask while walking around, but takes them off occasionally for photos, but who wouldn't with a place as cute as this one?

Tracy O.

Yelp
Such a great spot foe families! Get pumpkins, cider and donuts while enjoying the search. Easy parking too!

Dominique J.

Yelp
Took my dogs to pick out a Christmas tree back in December. The place is tricked out for Christmas so it was a fun day out.

George K.

Yelp
What a great place for Halloween items galore and no long drive required, no tickets to enter the farm, and all the other ridiculousness that is worth doing maybe once. Really great pumpkin selection. This always the first place I have seen yellow pumpkins. Gourds as well. I got some pricey but delicious apple cider donuts. Parking is limited and probably some weekends in October it could be a pain to find a spot, so consider during the week instead.

Nina M.

Yelp
DePaul's was the perfect place to get a Christmas Tree. The staff is SO nice and helpful. They give you space to find your perfect tree, but quickly trim, wrap, and load your perfectly selected tree into / onto your car for you. There is a cute little outdoor market as well with apples, candles, decorations, and all the Christmas tree items you would ever need (stands, vitamins, bags, etc.). I picked up one of the more inexpensive wreathes & over the door hangers - but they have a huge variety up to & including very large and beautifully decorated wreathes.

Becky G.

Yelp
Love this place! We got our big pumpkins for carving from here. We also got some small decorative pumpkins. I love the variety of shapes, sizes, and colors of pumpkins that they have. I didn't even know pumpkins came in this much variety!! The donuts are delicious and so are the homemade pop tarts and cinnamon rolls! There is so much to shop around for here. Highly recommend!!

John A.

Yelp
Just a great place for the holidays. They have a ton of Christmas trees, Christmas wreaths, all sorts of decorations. Local suppliers of apple's, jams and jellies you just really have to stop in here and check it all out. Way more there then I can possibly list here. Very nice people are always very helpful and I can't wait to try my new soy candle And today they had apple cider donuts!!!

Diane Y.

Yelp
I've found a greater appreciation for plants during the pandemic. Every month, I would pick a new addition for my interior space as it literally adds new life. On my drive, I found a bright, lovely patch of fresh air on the side of the road, DePaul's Urban Farm. After passing it and having to make a u-turn, I pulled up to the side where there's plenty of unmarked parking on the gravel road. There's a vast array of every plant you can possibly want! Herbs in one section, flowering pots on another, but I knew I had to head inside the covered stall for the interior plants. Succulents, air purifying plants, and many other species covered the place. Some of the plants have the sticker price on the plastic pot but definitely not all. Being a novice, I picked an intriguing plant and asked the employee how to keep my new baby alive. Happy to say, after 3 weeks, my baby Rex Begonia is still thriving!

Elle M.

Yelp
If you haven't discovered this little gem in SE Vienna, where have you been? I don't give five stars for many businesses, so the fifth star goes to their knowledgeable and friendly staff. Among other things, I buy a lot of annuals from De Paul's and I'm always given excellent advice and planting tips. They know their merchandise. They not only have plants, but pottery and lots of other fun stuff to discover - great place to shop for gifts, and apple cider and cozy fires in the fall!

Alisa O.

Yelp
Friendly people, beautiful plants. Not a huge variety of options but it's a nice (and popular) local stop.

Cheng X.

Yelp
A cute little gem I discovered this fall! Parking is a little tight, there's just a gravel lot in the back but the workers will help guide the cars when it gets busy. I loved how they set up some photo opportunities around the place, it was a great alternative if you can't drive far out for a big pumpkin patch but want to take some festive fall photos. They also had a great selection of pumpkins, plants, and other little treats. Excited to come back during the other seasons as well to explore!

Karissa G.

Yelp
Cute place for Fall pumpkin picking. There's also local produce and plants from their nursery. A wide variety of different pumpkins to choose from and a couple cute photo opportunities makes this a cute little spot to get into the Fall mood.

Cali W.

Yelp
Very friendly staff! Parking is tight however people are quickly coming as they are going. Clean placement of the pumpkins and verity of colors. The candles smell sooooo good. We bought one and it smells like. Dandyline and clove if you see this one you have to smell it it's smells so good.

Vy C.

Yelp
Great service and beautiful pumpkin patch loved going here it was a great memory and I liked it there a lot

Cindy W.

Yelp
I'm kind of shocked DePaul's doesn't have more reviews - they've got a pretty great selection of market goods at reasonable prices (more than Dupont Farmer's Market, at the very least). During holiday season they carry enough pumpkins and Christmas trees to outfit all of Vienna. Can't pass up on the seasonal Rinker's apple cider, possibly the best cider I've ever had. Their family cat, Chauncey, is the funniest thing and looks the part of a fat, affable British aristocrat. Folks here are friendly, and parking is easy.

Alyssa K.

Yelp
The best part about DePaul's is that it's less than a mile from my house and i can hit it up for fresh produce for dinner when I need to. Quality has always been excellent. It's really a beautiful little oasis that smells earthy and fresh. Always music playing and a pretty atmosphere. i've purchased a couple potted plants over the years (spring pots and mums), but i mostly come for the produce.

Megan W.

Yelp
Our Christmas Tree experience was fabulous! No pressure, easy going, informative and totally take all of the logistics concerns and put them to rest! Thanks DePauls keep up the good work!

Blair G.

Yelp
I came, I saw, I got some great deals on produce!! There's a major difference between tomatoes from the grocery store and home grown. Unfortunately, our apartment doesn't afford us the luxury of being able to grow our own! I had stopped in on a weekend to check out DePaul's as I frequently drive by its very accessible location. The tomatoes and other produce were priced fairly competitively to grocery stores (I think about 2.99/lb for several different kinds of tomatoes), and I ended up spending about $14 on tomatoes (a lot!), corn, cucumbers, and peaches. Everything I purchased was awesome--juicy with a smell of freshness! Next time I will do a bit more browsing through their wide selection of preserves, jams, salsas, jellies, and etc. I did see some great contenders and these were also competitively priced ($4-5/jar I think).

Keli W.

Yelp
Went here last month best peach I have ever had ever. Very friendly, I loved the set up and that it is in town. You do not have to drive forever to get there. I will 1000%be back. My only regret is I didnt try the peach before I left. I would have bought more.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
If you are driving from Oakton to Vienna along Chain Bridge Rd, you have already seen DePaul's Urban Farm. If you blink, you'll miss it though! Crowded by new and old suburban communities, DePaul's is an oasis in the residential wasteland along 123. DePaul's changes with the seasons. They were the first to have pumpkins and decorative gourds this year. All too soon they will bring out their Christmas trees before closing for the winter. From Spring through December though, DePaul's serves the community with great service, much-needed products like mulch, soil, decorative plants, herbs, and edibles. In addition to the wide variety of plants and small shrubs, they have a good selection of seasonal fruits like apples, pears, tomatoes, cucumbers, and beans. The apple selection is the most impressive with many varieties in stock both from local and non-local sources. Service is always helpful and friendly. Be sure to pet the friendly cat who strolls the property. When I look out in my newly-expanded beds, I am tickled pink to see my newly-purchased herbs doing so well! A great place to check out.

Thomas K.

Yelp
Very nice experience buying a Christmas tree. Found the one we wanted within minutes! Staff friendly and helpful. Kids roasting marshmallows and free apple cider is THE BEST!

Megan S.

Yelp
I love this little nursery! Whenever I have free time to spare this is where I go. They have a great selection of both indoor & outdoor plants, produce, and potting supplies. They're super helpful and the general ambience is awesome. You will find great decorating inspiration here, leave with a content gardening buzz & possibly a trunk full of new projects.

Chris P.

Yelp
Mad...that I lived steps away for almost four years and never knew what I was missing. Came to buy charcoal to use for my indoor plants and ended up leaving with real local honey (not from, say, Pennsylvania. Nothing against PA but if you're using honey to combat allergies it really has to be Local local.) The people there were wonderful and helpful, as noted elsewhere here. Apparently they also sell local produce so I'll be back for it!

Angela D.

Yelp
Stopped here since I was in the area, and since I've never been to a farmer's market. This was a new experience for me. I think that most of their focus is on plants, and unfortunately my thumb is not green. Any plant I will kill (by accident). The produce that they had was small - so I got some apples, corn, and some apple butter (which I haven't had since my grandfather died). My only complaint...when driving on the main road, go slowly because you may miss it. And it can get crowded, so get there early. The parking lot is off to the side and is very tight when someone with a freakin Suburban decides to park next to you. My advice, keep the bigger SUVs at home. You'll make the experience much better for others.

Cathy A.

Yelp
Lovely flowers, herbs and plants. The people were very friendly and helpful. It was easy to navigate from one section to another.

Gina L.

Yelp
They have a gorgeous flower selection. My go to in the Spring. And I feel better about myself shopping here, than say, Home Depot, ha. It's more quaint than Dupont in my opinion but also better prices. They have to die for jellies as well. My favorite spot to go to for original gifts too.
