Der Unterwirt - Das kleine Gourmethotel

Wow. I just got here. The surrounding areas are incredibly stunning and breathtaking. The estate is marvelous with very thoughtful touches. The cleanliness is top notch. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I’ve been traveling to cities in the past two weeks and this place makes me feel like home.

If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, Family Reunion or go to a restaurant that is on a level of a Michelin stared Restaurant I highly recommend visiting the restaurant located at Der Unterwirt. Upon entering the restaurant I was immediately made feel very welcome. The restaurant was almost fully seated. I was worried that I would be a able to get a table. My worries subsided and was seated to an amazing table on its own near the kitchen. Honestly I loved my table and the atmosphere was beyond amazing. I ordered my drink and was given plenty of time to look over the menu. My waitress was very professional and so friendly. She explained everything to me due to my very basic German. I placed my order. To my surprise my waitress came out with some special welcoming dishes from the chef. Complimented with some lovely bread in a special bag. The dishes were absolutely amazing and so delicious! I knew that I had found the most amazing restaurant within the first 15 minutes of entering Der Unterwirt. The soup I ordered tasted amazing and was simply delicious. The presentation was off the charts. My next order was a spring roll that centered around utilizing carrots. Honestly no words could describe this decadent appetizer! It was in many ways a touch of European and Asian Fusion combined. I loved every second of this dish. My main course was the Wiener schnitzel. I had obviously had Wiener schnitzel before in quite a few restaurants in Austria. This was above par and French fries to compliment my order were amazing! Perfect portion and presentation was above par. I ended up ordering a Wonderful Austrian Dessert. Similar to a pan cake dish. The dessert tasted amazing! Absolutely Delicious is putting it mildly! I finished my meal with a cappuccino and Baileys. Everyone I encountered at this establishment were all so professional and friendly! Note the building dates back to 1490! So much history! You can tell everyone who works here takes a lot of pride in their work and representing the Family Name. I definitely will be returning to Der Unterwirt in the near future! This establishment rates five stars and more! As stated in the above if you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, family reunion or look for a restaurant that is on the level of a Michelin Starred restaurant look no further! You won’t be disappointed! Lastly it should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States Of America for over thirty years and served with the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know an amazing restaurant from all my life experiences and travels all over the world! A must visit when visiting the Beautiful Village Of Ebbs in Tyrol, Austria.

We have dined here several times over the past 10-15 years and decided we wanted to stay here. We had a reservation for two nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The receptionist took care of us at once. She asked if we had any needs that she could help with. We got on the elevator and went up to first floor and went to our room. The room was a large and comfortable room. It was quite clean and had the best feather blankets--nice and plump. The bathroom was nice and clean also. Did I say the bed was firm--just the way we like them to be. Good reading lights in bed. Breakfast in the morning was in the nice dining room. Breakfast was all we needed and more. We would love to return.

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay here! We bought our two lively dogs with us to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the staff team could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The service was exceptional, the garden an stream behind the hotel were indeed paradise in 30 degree weather and the food was delicious! Vielen lieben dank

During a recent trip to Europe we had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Unterwirt in Ebbs, Austria. This delightful family-run hotel had all the amenities that you would want, excellent food, and a lovely garden area in the back that was frequented by late afternoon and evening patrons. Rooms were clean, modern and many had a sitting area with its own TV. Beer, wine and liquor were served at a small bar inside or on the back patio/garden. Service was excellent. The hotel as well as the whole village was picturesque with flowers overflowing the many window boxes along each row of houses/buildings. Mountains could be viewed from rooms facing the back, overlooking the patio area. Several shops and a grocery were located just across the street. No need for an alarm clock -- the nearby church bells could be heard at 6 A.M. every morning. We would love to return to this village and hotel to explore the area a little more.

We stayed here for a ski trip with friends. In general we had a very good experience. The staff was friendly and helpfull, a really good - Gourmet- kitchen and the rooms conformable basic rooms with everything you need. Highly recommended this hotel for people who enjoy a calm, comfortable stay with excellent food.

Next time will stay longer. Really enjoyed my stay and your hospitality!
