I came here due to a mixer but wow. The whole bar is a vibe. They have karaoke, great drinks, the service is top-tier. I can't complain. I'd go for every event they have. It was incredible.

Incredible! I was trying to book a post-conference happy hour and was really having a hard time booking something in the area that could work. I am so happy I reached out to Der Wolf, because it was incredible! I was coming from out of state so J helped me coordinate everything over email/phone and was amazing! He worked with our budget and was super on top of keeping up with our requests! Huge shout out to Jose and Isa (and happy birthday) as well for being quick and efficient with our orders and managing our crowd. I appreciate y'all and really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks at Der Wolf. I cannot recommend enough that you should spend sometime at Der Wolf!

I was there this past Sunday 04/13/25 for a brunch party and it was awesome. The music was on point. I always wanted to be in Pasadena and listen to some cool house music with some cool 90s music. Everything was great. The food was perfect. The service was awesome. I believe the manager, Jay the one helping us and made us feel like We were millionaires, lol. The Dj was great even my daughter loved him lol I believe his name was Chris. If you’re looking for a great brunch with great music, this is the place to be!

I found this bar and wanted to see if we could watch the UFC fights last weekend. Not only did they show the fights, but they also serve food and great drinks!! It was such a great atmosphere!! The wall art is hilarious and the bar tenders are actually very good and fast!! I wanted to eat during the fights and order steak nachos (not expecting much) and they were SO good!! Like actual quality meat! The drinks were huge and so yummy!! We even made new friends at the bar. We will absolutely be coming back again!

Found this place just searching the internet. Though the name implies German food, the menu was Mexican centric. Our server was friendly and welcoming and provided us with great suggestions about the food. We had a great experience here! The food was very tasty as ingredients were fresh and well prepared. We all enjoyed our cocktails and entrees. Thank you, Der Wolf, for a great experience!

Let me start by saying I love German restaurants. I consider myself a connoseur, even though that's French. We came here all the way from West LA to try something other than Wirtshaus, Rasselbock, and Silverlake's Red Lion Tavern. After a $30 Lyft, we arrived and found out it was Friends trivia day. Normally I love trivia, but this was just weird. Very quiet and like... professional? I want a casual experience when I go to a German place. Anyway, we sat at the bar, which is the only place you can order here. The service was *extremely* friendly and helpful, but bless their heart if they knew how to provide prompt service. We waited about 15m for a pretzel. Then we ordered a sausage plate appetizer. That took about 30m, and was fairly cold when we got it. We were two of about 20 people in the restaurant at this time. Not great. We gave them one last chance to redeem themselves with a beer battered brat, and I must say, it came out a lot quicker than the other food , but it tasted like pan-fried kielbasa. The tots were great, but honestly it was not worth the trek from West LA. Sort of a blessing in disguise because we checked this off of our German list without any desire to come back. TL;DR if you're looking for a legit German spot, come to West LA. Seriously.

Great beer and drinks. Food menu looked delicious, but we had already eaten. Fun atmosphere and decor along with a friendly staff made this bar a great pick. Multiple patrons were speaking German, which added to the ambiance.

It was I great place to watch the game. They must of been under staff the service was very slow. The ceviche tostada was not worth the money, the pretzel was great. They where nice enough to give me a second drink for free because they brought the food very late and then the drink

Stopped by on Saturday, 03/22/25 for the first time (dinner time!). We were told that seats are limited as there is a private reservation (party with DJ) happening that day. We were immediately seated and ordered the following: - 1 boss babe drink = $18 - 1 modelo especial = $16 - 1 asada taco plate (3 tacos) = $14 - 1 loaded tots (with asada, jalepenos, and cream on the side) = $16 SUBTOTAL = $64 TAX = $6.56 TOTAL = $70.56 (shoutout to my bf for paying, he is amazing!) Overall the wait time for our drinks and meals was minimal. Our drinks were massively huge. We took some of our tater tots home. Overall a great atmosphere during dinner time on a Saturday - now this place will always have a special place in my heart and soul. :)

This is a cool little spot to check out for either boxing or ufc events, grab some food with your friends and have a drink or two or three lol. The place is pretty big with the main bar area at the entrance, an outside patio section and a small bar downstairs. The servers and owner are always friendly and they are pretty good at checking to see if you need another drink. We haven't been to check out a fight in a while but we recently stopped by after a hike on a Sunday to grab a bite to eat. The cool thing about Sunday brunches at Der Wolf is, it isn't crowded and they have a DJ who plays some dope music. As for the food, I ordered the huevos rancheros and a black berry mocktail. The food was delicious and definitely something I would order again. However, I wasn't really feeling the drink. I've never had a mocktail and I had no idea what I was drinking but it did taste exactly like a cocktail with no alcohol. It's not their fault, I'm just not a fan of it. Overall, it's a fun place to hang out and I did notice that some of the table (cloths?) were ripped, so just remember it is a bar. However, the place is clean, people are friendly and you're there to just eat and have a good time (nothing fancy or romantic). they also have a beer pong table in the middle of the place so it's always fun to watch drunk people playing and dancing. I've came here multiple times I've never have had a bad experience. The security in the front is polite as long as you don't act a fool they do do pat downs on men and do search women. The crowd is usually an older crowd so there's less drama there's a downstairs level for private parties. They do provide food and bar food, which is OK and the drinks are reasonably price.

Okay bar/restaurant in the area! Came by with a friend after a stressful day and it was an okay experience, drinks were good ,but the food was pretty mid nothing specifically stood out to me. Service was also okay it took a little longer than I would have liked for it being empty but I believe the serve might have been alone so I understand.

Went to Der Wolf on a Friday afternoon to check out the happy hour menu. The two of us ordered sausage plate, wolf burger and a Hef to share. The Hef was served in a tall beer glass and it's awesome as expected. The sausage plate has 3 types of sausage and they are all way too salty... maybe so people can order beer? We didn't really enjoy it. I ordered the burger medium well but it's more like medium/medium well. The fries were really good though. The Friday afternoon we were there , the whole old town Pasadena was filled with Iowa Hawkeye fans. The bar was understaffed. But it seemed like a nice spot to hang out.

The bar tender even used a sugar cube when making this Old Fashion with Markers Mark. I'm so spoiled from Cap making his great Old Fashion at Yee Rustic Inn

Mixed feelings because I loved the bratwurst and tater tots but disliked my pretzel and Brussels sprouts. I felt the Brussel sprouts had too much sauce and the pretzel was overdone. The quality and freshness of the brat made up for it tho. Love that it was topped with sliced bell peppers. The tater tots were perfectly fried too. Definitely trying the rest of their menu with a brat next time!!!

This place is always fun to hang out for Karaoke, happy hour, dancing, live music, etc. The place is small inside and it's like a old school looking bar. The service is good and the food is good. They have different night for various musicians and dancing. They have brunch which is also fun and amazing.

I really like Rathskeller. I've been saying that I need to take my partner since we started dating, and it has been years. Plural. Because Rathskeller never seems to be open. And now she's at the point of doubting its existence. Der Wolf itself is fine. Food is solid, just nothing super special.

Sports bar with many TVs. We were the first ones to arrive, we made a reservations for 12:45pm. We had the intention to stay and watch the 49ers game but unfortunately we were told that we would have to leave and wait outside because they were all booked for the game. Waiting outside was not going to guarantee us a seat, so we decided to leave. We ordered ceviche which was really good, and the brunch burger. The food was great! Our waitress was nice and the bartender attentive. If you're planning to attend a watch party here, make reservations ahead of time. You'll find a Parking structure less than a half a block down.

Group of us came here for my friends birthday. And it was a lot of fun. Just so happens they happen to have a happy birthday sign where we were sitting so we got some great pictures. The drinks were good. My only complaint was that the restaurant bar was not open it. Someone was late so we were waiting outside for someone to come. The food was great. I don't remember exactly what I ordered but I know I enjoyed it and I had a couple of mimosas because I had to drive. I couldn't keep on drinking but it's a cool spot to get your drink on for sure.

Ambience is great, perfect for a pub. Service was great, we had a person named Nadia who was an absolute gem. Drink prices are good and the food was great. Try the ceviche! Crystal the owner also came by our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I'll come back soon.

It's a great place to watch a game, for sure! There are tv's all around and the vibe is very sporty. They even have a beer pong table set up for those that want to play. My friend was warned that she couldn't bring outside food in, but she's vegan which limits the menu significantly for her. The service was also great considering every table was full. The food came out quickly and our waitress was very attentive.

Der wolf is a family bar. I really like their service and they are welcoming over me Elektricity.

I want to start off by saying this is the BEST SERVICE we have gotten at any bar/restaurant, HANDS DOWN! We were there on a Sunday to attend a Chargers watch party in the basement. When the restaurant opened the basement immediately filled up. Melissa M was our server for the entire basement. She was so attentive and gave everyone amazing service. I noticed that not one person down there had a dry cup, she was on top of refills and food orders for everyone. We ordered wings, a giant pretzel and a cheese burger. The wings were well done (per melissa's suggestion) and they were perfectly crisp. The pretzel was delicious and soft on the inside. The beer cheese that came with the pretzel was AMAZING! I wish there was more cheese because the pretzel was really big, there was not enough cheese for the size of that thing. The cheese burger also really really good. We had beers, margarita flight and mexican candy shots. The bartender was also very busy but took time to greet everyone. Drinks were delicious and came fairly quickly. What a great experience!! We have never had such a great experience in a place that was so busy. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!! 10/10 recommend

Oh yesss I had a great Sunday brunch here. It was my friends bday and we had so much fun. The vibe was just amazing! Good dj for sure. Came on R&B day and school reunion and it was good. The music is definitely bomb! They have nice large games to play with and jenga as well. The service was very good and accommodating. It was a party of 8 and they sat us in the middle of the restaurant but we wanted to move to a booth and they let us. They have brunch from 10-3pm and bottomless mimosas until 3. They don't rush you at all and they are very attentive. The food is good for sure! I ordered the salmon and bbq wings and they were very tasty! Fresh and hot too! They also have a downstairs/ basement bar and outside patio. The brunch is in the main dining room, which is def a party place for brunch! Overall, we had so much fun was not a dull moment whatsoever! This is the place you want to come to for a good brunch, and good drinks. This place is good for special occasions and celebrating. I heard Fridays is fun as well and taco Tuesday. They also have happy hour for brunch from 10:00 am til 12:00 pm. Plus having the Yelp app will get you 20 percent off. Now that's what I'm talking about! :) I will come back to Der Wolf of course! Cannot wait to have a good time again :) I want to try more food items on the menu, it's a huge selection of items. P.S. The closes convenient parking is across the street on Holly St. It is street parking and parking lots where you can pay within a block.

I had my wedding rehearsal after party here. We got bottle service and had an open tab all night. Our server, Melissa, was fantastic. We requested the DJ to play hip hop and the manager asked us to pay $50 for the whole night. When we went to pay they told us it would be $50 per DJ?? I guess there were 2 "DJ's" playing that night...we weren't happy but we paid for the vibes. They didn't end up switching up the music and scammed us out of our money. They made up excuses as to why they weren't switching up the music like the "WiFi wasn't working". The music was not it and it ruined the night. I've been here a few times before which is why I chose this bar but this experience put a bad taste in my mouth. Wouldn't return and would not recommend for large parties. Very scammy.

This restaurant surprised me! I went for a few drinks, but ended up ordering tacos. Then I found out that all tacos are $2 on Tuesday! (Except the shrimp tacos, still worth it!) They were flavorful and light but filling! The drink specials all sounded sweet, so I tried the Betty Boop and it was pretty good! I asked about another drink and the bar tender recommended the Cadillac margarita. Order it, you won't be disappointed!! I ordered 2! (I walked back to my hotel!) The bar tenders were friendly, have great recommendations, and made delicious drinks! There is a speakeasy downstairs called The Dungeon. I didn't see it, but there was a private party that evening. I'd def check it out if it was open to the public!

Stopped by here this past Sunday for brunch. At first, it doesn't look like much. But when you walk in, the vibe is chill. My wife and I got here about noon, the DJ was just setting up, and started doing her thang. She was playing some pretty dope old school hits. The staff was nice, a little advice for the waitress.. just be a little more attentive to your guest. A few times, i had to flag her down, she didn't see me. So I had to get up to go ask for something and it wasn't that busy. Like I said just a little advice, as she was very nice when speaking with you. The food came out quick! The food was good, one other piece of advice, I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were very soft, IMO I think they should have a little crisp to them. But other than that, I still tore em up. The drinks were great. We live 72 miles away. Just took my wife out to have brunch found these place off Tik Tok. We would definitely come back

This place is a scam. We went there for Super Bowl Sunday and none of the Super Bowl specials that were advertised online and on Instagram were being honored on top of the fact our waitress although she was by herself, had a terrible attitude about it. It's not my fault, you work for bait and switch This place needs to get out fast so a real business can come in and treat people with honesty and respect

I came to watch Sunday AM football on a whim and can appreciate this decision. The courteous Staff was attentive and accommodated my requests to customize my experience. The service was phenomenal and drinks were delicious. Desiree and Cherry are the reasons I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. If you're in Pasadena pay a visit you won't regret it

In dire need of nicer ladies! One pair of asian from another plane, were nice at first then her friend was like "no! Can't sit here" when I approached her table! I was BARELY finishing my one and only drink based on this fruitful experience, apparently more socially awkward then me and doesn't like any attention... LA you confusing piece teasing machine just waste of my time as single man This bar should be rated on the cool dark open air interior and with its older vibes and KAROAKE TUESDAY and Sunday nights. $2 taco Tuesday and $10 cocktails are an EASY selling point for me but get used to the "who knows if you can approach while barely starting your drink" will work for you or not ... not for me wo friends on a Tuesday By bye Vietnamese childish cuties

I was looking for German food. Got to this place and looking at the menu, it is a Mexican joint!? Food is mediocre and expensive. Three sausage links for $17 without bread?! The two stars are for OK service and drinks. Pub ambiance. In Pasadena, there are very great places to choose from. I don't recommend it unless they change drastically.

Came here on a Sunday night after rehearsal and we wanted a place to grab food and a drink. This place was so cool and the vibe was so intimate yet lively. They had a beer pong table, connect four and a jumbo Jenga game all set up. And the music was blasted pretty loudly in there so it was pretty hard to hear my friends talk in there. But service was really fast since it wasn't super busy and the bartender was super nice and attentive. I tried the Wolf Burger & french fries and it was pretty good. My friends tried the asada fries, burrito and tater tots. We all felt like it did its job of satisfying our hungry bellies. Would definitely recommend coming here for the vibes to play some games with drinks!

Wow, this place was awesome, first off security was very helpful, and there weren't bullies at all. They seated me very fast and let me choose where I wanted to sit. I was there for the UFC 303 event it was Poppin. I had apatizers which was great in price and drinks. The service was quick and easy to order. I even had two waitresses always asking if everything was ok. Also, there wasn't a bad seat in the house with all the big screen TV screens all around. I highly recommend this place for a good time with friends and a big party. I would suggest more advertising and more signs on the outside because I walked passed it the first time I went by.

Came here to see Nowhere Fast. They do an impeccable job covering The Smiths. Could hear them around the corner walking up to Der Wolf. The bar was packed. Der Wolf has a great selection of flavorful thirst quenching beverages. The service is quick and pleasant. A lot of metered street parking and pay-to-park parking lots in the area. I look forward to returning to Der Wolf

Went to Der Wolf last week for Sunday Brunch and it was a great experience. Setting was nice and service was impeccable. Everyone ordered something different, each dish looked yummy and was very delicious! I appreciated the fact that they have chicken (mango) sausage and yes, it was delish too. They have televisions all around, so it would be a great place to come watch sporting events. Definitely look forward to coming back again!!

Met some friends there for brunch. The food was good. Our service was okay. Ambience was very sports like. It did get a little loud because of the football games. But that was to be expected. It wasn't my favorite place. But it wasn't the worst. I think it's a good hang out to watch sports. Food wasn't five-star, but very bar like and delicious.

I feel robbed coming here for late night dinner. My friends and I ordered an appetizer platter to share and what had come out was atrocious. It was a platter with raw Brussel sprouts (take a look at the picture attached to this review) a couple of pieces of pretzel, 2 or 3 pieces of chicken strips, and battered coconut shrimp. It was the weirdest combination platter I've ever had. It seemed as if the cook had run out of ingredients and put together a medly of random stuff. The Brussel sprouts weren't even cooked or seasoned! Also ordered a pretzel.... The dough was pretty soft and well salted but what had come out did not look like a pretzel. We came here 45 min before closing so I feel like the cook gave us the mistake pretzel and left over "stuff" and turned it into an appetizer platter. Pretty disappointed with the food. Would just come here for the drinks. We did come here for Halloween as well last year and the decor was pretty cool.

We used to come here when it was Def Wolfskopf - it was a good bar. Now it's an ok bar with horrible food. I'm not sure why they bother serving food that bad. All four of us really couldn't even eat it - burgers and nachos - inedible. Fries were fine. Beer is good, service was good. But we won't be going back. It's too bad, really.

I came here for a bday celebration brunch with some girl friends. I'm glad we came but I would not recommend eating here as the food was not very good. My friends got steak and eggs and the steak was extremely tough. They got a waffle as an appetizer that they enjoyed. I got the the chicken and waffles and it was OK at best. The drinks and the music really made the experience, I would come back for drinks and dancing. The service was good, but the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and it was a busy day. This is not a dressy place, the ambiance gave me bar vibes, I would say this is a casual cute kind of ambiance. It is loud in there for brunch so be prepared, especially if you go after noon. The bathrooms were not clean and there were only two, so I didn't drink much more after using one of them. Also, Yelp said there was parking which is not exactly true. There's a lot across the street on Union which has $10 parking all day on weekends, street parking is metered (if you can find a spot).

I was charged $12.00 on my CC for some non-descript, random service fee, two days after I was there. Our party of 4 ordered 1 round of drinks, paid and left. The drinks + tip charges was correct. Then another $12.00 for fees. WTF. We left after 1 round of drinks because the bartender made a Cosmopolitan with orange juice, and the Old Fashion had crushed ice...C'mon. Crushed ice in an Old Fashion should be a crime. Walked over to Cafe Santorini and the Cosmo was perfect and the Old Fashion had beautiful squared cube of ice.

I decided to stop by yesterday and the bartender Victor was friendly and welcoming. I ordered some wings and drinks and both were delicious. The place had a good vibe will be coming back for the happy hour deals.

I came across this establishment on tik tok and im glad my sister and I brought out our moms to brunch here the food is phenomenal I never like eating a medium rare steak the pink grosses me out so I asked for it well done and it came medium rare . I will definitely come back for a medium rare steak this is the first chef to get me to LOVE A MEDIUM RARE STEAK . I'm beyond happy with the food . We got eggs Benedict, 2 steak and eggs and chilaquiles everything was 10/10 recommended . We hesitated but I'm glad we chose here we will definitely come back here . We also would like to shout out the waitress J he goes above and beyond for the customers very well spoken and accommodates .thank you der wolf you were good to us.

Love this place... their tacos are delicious and they have a great tequila selection. That being said, it seems more of a tequila-based specialty cocktail/sports bar than a German pub. The only thing German is that they have brats and pretzels. I think a name change would be a good idea to accurately reflect the experience and the vibe... Just my 2 cents. They have tons of games to play and plenty of TVs to watch the games. The bartenders Jorge and Jose are always great and take great care of us. Fav night is Taco Tuesdays... $2 tacos all night long.

Service was great. Can't remember the name of the bartender. She was a female. Ambiance was also really good. We ordered our drinks and got them promptly. However, we were disappointed since we drove 20+ miles and wanted to watch the boxing fight that stated on the website was showing. When we got there, we asked if they were showing it and the bartender didn't know, nor did they end up having it. I showed her their own website.. Was pretty disappointed for the false advertisement.

This place is alright definitely wasn't too excited about the drinks. The only thing I disliked was they don't have the bathrooms separated from male and female and the lines is crazy bathrooms were dirty

0 My friend and I arrived first 45 min before the 5:15 kick off we were told we could only stand because the tables were all reserved. We were supposed to meet friends here. The server Stacy downstairs stairs said we could sit at a table that was not reserved. We sat and ordered food and drinks $100 worth appetizers and first round of drinks then the man upstairs that said their were no tables came to us and asked us to stand because the table was reserved. Ok well now it's after kickoff and there are still several empty tables. And we're having to balance food and drinks on a standing table. While observing the bars operations I heard the bartender tell the same guy from upstairs to "get these people out of my face " and pointed to the crowd at the bar. Stacy (waitress) had already told me she was the only server and that service would be slow. Our drinks and food service was definitely slow but we understood the short staff situation. I went out side to look for our friends and noticed many groups of people leaving because they were turned away. I'm trying to understand why people with cash are being turned away when theirs several open tables. The food was definitely not good at all. It tasted like reheated frozen food. I'm very disappointed in this establishment and definitely won't be coming back.

I am so glad that I was able to find this spot through social media. I was just looking for a place where some friends and I could watch the Benavidez/Plant fight and this was one of the only venues that appeared. Not only is there a great amount of parking all around, but once we got to the door, we were greeted nicely by security and then checked in with my reservations. There was plenty of space and there is also a downstairs and patio. The bartenders were very accommodating and kind. The food was delicious and the drinks were good. I will definitely be back soon.

Der Wolf was a great place for dinner and drinks with a very friendly ambience, and exciting crowd. The food was delicious: the pretzel was warm and filling, Brussels sprouts were flavorful, and chicken sandwich was perfect. The drinks....omg. The Betty Boop was the perfect blackberry vodka drink. Overall an awesome night at an awesome place

What a wonDerful place. Came here on a Sunday for brunch. The place is welcoming and clean. Good seating arrangements with plenty of tv's. Very friendly and helpful staff. Family friendly environment.Their menu has something for everyone. I ordered their chicken and waffles. Very good. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the waffle was good. We also tried their chilaquiles. Well presented and very delicious. Our friends tried a burger and a quesadilla. They were happy with their meal. Especially their burger which was juicy and tasty. The dj played good music and one can play beer pong while sipping on mimosas. They also have a nice patio. The owner Victoria and her daughter were great host and made our experience even better. Derwolf is now on my favorites list.

Great food. Great drinks. Great brunch. Good prices and happy hour. I like the three different spaces they have including their outdoor space. My favorite thing is the staff and service. Not to mention they are always playing good music.

What kind of German Biergarten does not serve German beer? This place! When we made a reservation we asked if they have a variety of beer and they do (but not German) We should've asked what kind... I think it goes without saying they have German beer considering this place is a German restaurant. Atmosphere was great, service was not so great. Our server couldn't answer our questions and did not take the time to even try to find out the answer.
