The pizza school was so much fun! Jeff was absolutely amazing! He was full of knowledge and energy making the class even more fun! We ate so much food and took even more home with us. I high recommend Chef Jeff’s Special! This is a perfect weekday date night or girls night! It includes appetizers, pizza, and desert so save some room!

The pizza was really good. The flavor was amazing and the pizza crust had a nice smokey, crunch. If the center of the pizza wasn't floppy, I would've given this place a 5 star. I like the bicycle theme inside and it's cool that you can see the chefs make the pizzas in the pizza ovens. We will definitely stop back by when we're in Austin again.

If you enjoy Neapolitan pizza, this place is the bomb. The pizza is super good—made with love and high-quality ingredients. The open-concept kitchen is incredibly cool; it’s great to watch the pizzas being made in wood-burning ovens.

I really liked the quality of the pizza, but was a bit let down by the menu—it only had pork as the meat option. It would’ve been nice to have more variety. That said, my daughter absolutely loves the place! The decor is super cute, and they even give kids some dough to make their own little pizza to take home and bake—such a fun touch. Overall, it was a good experience. I’d come back for the vibe and the quality, but I’ll probably look elsewhere if I’m ever craving a different kind of meat.

I loved the pizza, I understand the concept but just in case I want to mention it, if you're with a friend that does not eat beef or has dietary restrictions is kinda hard, cause they actually wear a shirt that says No chicken and 2 other things (don't remember) and don't even ask for them, if you do (my friend asked because it was our first time there and we didn't know) they just pointed to the shirt, I mean I get it but it was rude. Apart from that is a nice place, I liked the food.

Authentic Italian Pizza! Two big thumbs up! Very fast service, delicious food, accommodating staff, and something for everyone on the menu. Our new favorite!

This pizzeria is expertly well established. I have never seen pizza ovens or a dough room. Really cool aesthetic. Service was on par and the food is delicious.

This place is really popular. There were a lot of people even on a weekday after 8 PM. The pizza looked delicious and was served with a generous amount of meat. However, I found it more visually appealing than flavorful. Honestly, the taste didn’t impress me. We ordered the Calzone Vesuvio and Pizza IL Maiale. We also got the Italian chopped salad, which had a lot of sausage and cheese.

My family and I returned to DeSano Pizzeria for a goodbye dinner for my son who's heading back to college. We parked, walked in and waited in line to place our order. Upon arriving at the ordering station we placed our order with a man that took our order carefully. He repeated our order back to us we paid, got our buzzer and took a seat. Several people brought out our food as it was made so it was fresh out of the large pizza ovens that they have. The restaurant is well lit and has many places to sit. It is a family friendly atmosphere. After waiting for about 10 minutes we got our starter Faccacia bread with marinara sauce. It was really good. The bread was fluffy and not heavy. The marinera sauce had flavor. It was a good dipping sauce. For my main dish I ordered the Margherita Pizza which has tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil. I don't really care for basil so I removed it from my pizza. The pizza was delicious. I ate it with Garlic Butter which I recommend trying. The pizza dough was thin but the crust was thicker. The pizza was hot and mozzarella was melted which I liked. Overall the restaurant is bright with plenty of seating, easy ordering process, and the pizza is yummy. It's one of our favorite places to eat pizza.

Solid pizza spot! We got the Desano's pizza in the largest size which was $30. From the description on the menu, I was expecting more meat. The dough was really good though, the flavor was clean and fresh. But for me personally, the pizza is so thin that it doesn't leave you as full as other pizza establishments would. They have dessert pizzas too which look good! There's lots of seating, so it's great for a big party or large family. Parking can be found in the front as well as in the back of the establishment.

drove 15 miles to try this place. the pizza is just ok and i felt its bland. for a place like this you would expect a gourmet food. its not. on the plus side the ingredients are of high quality. portion size is small. we left hungry and dissatisfied. ambience and service is good. pizza is expensive for whats its worth.

Pizza was great - with wood fired pizza the crust can be really tough sometimes but the crust was perfect consistency. Service was great too - the guy at the counter cracked a joke when he saw my Darth Vader debit card! One thing is that some of the pizza was a little too salty for me. They're smaller than you would expect too.

I was in town and I saw the good reviews so I ordered it via Uber Eats. It showed up cold. What can you expect? It's Uber eats. I bet you the meal would've been 1000 times better if I ate at the actual restaurant. So with that being said, I'll give them four stars. The pizza was cold, but it was still good. I really wish I could've tried it piping hot but oh well this is the gamble you take when you use Uber eats. Next time I'm in the area I'll probably try to go eat there at the location. Solid four stars.

Another 5-star experience for DeSano. I'd be lying if I didn't think DeSano is the best pizza place in all of Texas. I now live in Houston, and I probably think about DeSano at least once a month and how I wish they were in Houston. All the ingredients imported from Italy (maybe minus the water). None of those blasphemous things like ranch dressing or pineapple, just good ol' ingredients from the motherland. The margherita DOP is one of the classics, oh so perfectly balanced. This pizza makes wheat taste GOOD. The acidity of the tomato sauce, cheesiness of the... cheese, oh my god, it even has some char. You get the pizza pretty quickly. Plenty of seating, with paper towels, cheese, and red peppers. Restrooms are clean, and they restock the soap frequently. Move over Mona Lisa, Neapolitan pizza is the greatest Italian masterpiece. I give DeSano 5 chef's kisses, out of 5.

I got a calzone and although the ingredients and flavors were very good the calzone was very soggy, which was disappointing. All the flavors were there though so I think next time I should try the pizza. Service was quick and this is a self serve casual establishment.

Easy to see the location and easy parking. The outside patio tables are metal. The outside tables are not for everybody and I say this because if you are tall person like over 5 foot it will be much easier for you to get onto the bench of the table, so it was very uncomfortable for me to have to jump up in or ask For help to get on top of the table area bench outside on the patio. walking inside you see very clearly the signs that tells you where to go easy to place a order. I feel like I used my coupon well to the point where I was very direct with my order the Pizza came out to be correct and the cheese was stringy, thick, hot temperature and well cooked the crust was not burnt crispy, airy dry, not too buttery or garlic key very nice to the pallets of a blunt of the sauce was not too runny, but not too sweet the salad, the spinach, cranberries, and the mushrooms. The artichokes were fully cooked and nacho oily or dry. The mushrooms had no seasoning but were firm to the bite on each time the crusted pizza sliced garlic bread was added to the salad. It was crispy, not overwhelming nice shape size easy to pick up likely dusted off the cannoli dessert was creamy with chocolate chips on top little messy, but it was worth a try. customers were sending at every table. It looks like a busy place not too noisy. I could still hear my company talk inside while I was placing the order and also customer service was pleasant enough to understand my order and make it correctly. the man was taking the order did not smile, but said hi so he was pleasant enough just to get the order get through. The to go box was easy to put together and also to get the plates that they provide for metal trays with paper on it so it was easy to see the logo of the restaurant the person who brings the food out to you once they bring it out to you. They don't come back and check on you and they don't ask you how everything is

So i heard this place has authentic pizza with ingredients imported from Italy, and for me, it's justified. I haven't ever had pizza anywhere in Austin where even after stuffing yourself with half of a 12" pizza, you don't feel full to the mouth. The flavors are so fresh and yum, it feels so light, service is fast, and it is a low key place to hang out. Ordered the lasagna and nutella pizza, delicious!! The caprese plate also had the most fresh tomato, mozzarella, and basil. Definitely coming back!!

DeSano is in my rotation of pizza places here. It's consistently good, relatively fast, and has fresh, authentic ingredients. I find it really cool that their pizza ovens are even shipped from Italy! Literally bringing Italy to Texas! Genius! And it definitely shows in the quality and flavor of their food. They have long wooden tables, great for big groups (co workers, family, friends, & everything in between) but can also be cozy for a smaller table! The service is friendly and you can even watch them prep the dough and put the toppings on.

This restaurant was recommended by my daughter and her boyfriend as "one of the best pizza restaurants in Austin!". With that kind of recommendation, we had to try it out. The restaurant is in a strip mall with adequate parking. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We chose salad, margherita pizza with artichokes, another margherita pizza, and a pepperoni and sausage pizza along with some glasses of their house wine. Well, my daughter was correct - the pizzas were excellent as was the service. The dough was extremely tasty, cooked to the right consistency and the salad was also very good. If you are looking for a good pizza, give these guys a try. I give them 5 stars.

I'm not sure where these raving reviews are coming from. This is disgusting. Ordered on DoorDash. It specifies the pizza is slightly charred and well done. As shown in the photos, it's quite the opposite. It's so mushy and underdone. Unfortunately DoorDash won't refund me.

Why 5 stars? Because they know what they're doing when it comes to pizza. --- --- --- We did an embarrassing amount of research on what our first meal in Austin would be before we headed to Kalahari and ultimately landed on DeSano. It ended up being a solid choice. We ordered a couple of 9" pizzas so that we could try multiple pies - the Margherita and the San Gennaro. The margherita was well done with high quality crust, but the star of the show was definitely the San Gennaro. There was a subtle bit of sweetness on it and it turned out to be the peppadews. It led to a very unique and flavorful bite. I wasn't even hungry when we arrived, but I couldn't stop eating this. Home run all around. My wife ordered a salad and a canoli, two things I didn't have much of an interest in to begin with, so it's not surprise that I wasn't impressed. But I was there for the pizza and the pizza was excellent.

Had been eyeing this restaurant for months and finally went, super yummy! They have various indoor seating. Great for a big groups or couples. The staff were so kind when helping us decide what pizza was best for us. It was pricey, but personally, I thought it was worth it. Would definitely be going again.

My husband and I were visiting Austin & ordered from here through UberEats. The pizza is excellent. We got the margherita dop & the pomodorini with ricotta stuffed crust. Wow-Easily in the top 5 best pizzas I've ever had. The ingredients seem very fresh and high quality. The reheat instructions on the box are very helpful. It's just obvious they put a lot of care into their product. Highly recommended.

Delicious artisan pizza - Neopolitan style! Pizzas were thin enough to fold longwise and eat. Not too saucy or oily - just right. We loved the ricotta stuffed crust pizza.

Genuinely can't rate this place highly enough. We have received incredible pizza consistently over at least 10 visits, and they finish a pizza in like 5 minutes. Seriously, I place the order, pull into the lot feeling sure it's not ready, and 9/10 it's already sitting in the box waiting for me. It's not cheap, but man is the quality excellent at this place. Favorite pizza in town for sure!

Pizza was okay and kind of small for such a high price point. The spicy garlic butter elevated the pizza so much, so highly recommend that but it is extra. It is cool to see all the pizza ovens and them cooking in front of you. Also think it's cool they do cooking classes.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! First time in was for a fun date night idea Desano offers ... Pizza School!! It was so much fun and a great way to try Desano! The food is authentic and so is the atmosphere with everything straight from Italy! We were welcomed the moment we walked in and every single person was friendly and helpful! The food was fresh starting with meatballs and the caprese salad! We made our own pizzas and Jordan made the whole experience interactive and really fun! We took plenty of food home, drank good wine (good selection) and the price point for Pizza School was worth every dollar!! I highly recommend Desano and look forward to going back to eat!!

The only thing deterring me from eating here more frequently is the pricing. Pretty steep prices for pizzas, though I guess they're amongst the norm for Austin and Neapolitan-style pizza. For two 12" (standard) pizzas and one bottled drink, plus tip, it was over $60. That's about $20-$25 a pie. High quality, genuine ingredients and authentic pizza. Service is very casual and fast. The restaurant is a bit posh in the service in that you cannot add ingredients or customize any of their specialty pizzas, despite them being made fresh to order. Plenty of drink variety but by the bottle/can only - however, you can ask for a cup of ice tap water. Overall, the food is great! Just not feasible for a casual, every week spot. Pizzas came out perfect and delicious.

Update 01-16-2024 In the neighborhood with grandkids on a recent Saturday afternoon, so we decided to stop by an old favorite to grab some pizza. Desano's never disappoints, easily on the short list of top pizza in ATX! We grabbed a bottle of very nice Chanti on the way past the beverage coolers, and then ordered up a storm. Starting with the caprese salad, beef steak tomatoes, hand-made mozzarella, fresh basil and top on the line olive oil... delish! Our pizza selection included pepperoni doppio, margharita (no basil, for the grandkids), diavola (spicy), il maiale (pork), and a meatball special. All pizzas were perfectly cooked and 10/10 delicious! The caprese salad was served with a little dish of sea salt on the side, and crushed red peppers and crushed garlic are available for your pleasure. Special shout out to Marcus, who took care of us at the register, stopped by a couple of times to check on us, and made us feel super welcome. Highly recommend Desano Pizzeria Napoletana, one of the best in town.

This place was very cool. Family vibe, not a date night. Scratch pizza made right in front of you. Super fast. Pizza was out in like 3 minutes from ordering! Authentic style Italian ingredients! Delicious!!!

This was really delicious pizza! We tried the pepperoni doppio and the bianca. Both tasted great They don't have ranch for my American taste buds, so I highly recommend the Calabrian Spicy Garlic Butter. The people working there were very friendly and food came out quickly on a Wednesday evening.

My favorite pizza place in town! We like thin pizza, and their pizza is thin, fresh, not heavy but very tasty with simple ingredients on the pizza. We tried different kinds of pizza at this place and all are delicious. Our favorite is Bianca, a white sauce based cheese pizza. I don't usually eat cheese pizza, but their Bianca pizza is absolutely amazing, so tasty! We get their Bianca pizza almost every couple of weeks. Tip: we like to order 10 mins before arrival, and our pizza would just be ready when come into the restaurant.

The pizza is good and always hot. I just wish they would provide water the way they do in Italy with a large container for all to enjoy. And ice The whipped garlic butter is worth its weight in gold.

Really solid pizza and calzone along with great service. Oder taker gave my kid a pice of extra dough to play with an a hat which was a great distraction for her. The pizza dough is great, but dang it's getting expensive. I'm not going to say it's not great quality, because it is, but it hurts to get a caprese salad, a calzone, a canoli, and 2 bottled waters for almost $60

As someone hailing from the NY-NJ pizza haven, my standards for a good pie are high. Let me tell you, this place not only met but exceeded my expectations, leaving me utterly impressed. When I visit my daughter in Texas, our quest for gluten-free options usually becomes a culinary adventure. However, this time, my son-in-law accompanied me to Desano which I found using yelp. We decided to order two pies. First up was the Pig, Carnivale style, a masterpiece that featured a crust stuffed with ricotta. This unique twist elevated the pizza experience to a whole new level. Next, we ventured into the classic realm with the Margherita. Any self-respecting pizza place knows the importance of nailing the Margherita, and this establishment certainly did justice to the iconic dish. The Naples ovens in full view added to the authenticity, creating a perfect blend of tradition and taste. As we reveled in the pizza indulgence, the only regret we had was not saving enough room for the Nutella pizza dessert--a reason in itself to make a return visit. In conclusion, if you find yourself in the area, this pizzeria comes highly recommended. From the creative toppings to the classic Margherita, every pizza lover's dream is realized here. Food: Delano Stuffed Crust was mind-blowing. They filled the crust we Ricotta cheese, the tomatoes sauce was super fresh and very well valance (not sweet or bitter). Service: it is self-serving more than anything else. You will enjoy employee's knowledge of their products. The dough smells and tastes fresh. I like the extra fresh minced garlic, basils, and oils you can add to your pizza. The ambiance is nice for family, or just casual friends gathering. Wine and beer available. Service is okay. The cashier is a bit awkward. No smile, no greetings. I, as the customer said Hi first to him. Big tall guy. The food runner did a great job. Move fast kept clearing stuff off tables. I am in hospitality for many years. Customer service is high up there in priorities as food quality and food safety.

Was recommended to try DeSano years ago by a foodie friend from NY because it was 'the closest thing to home' and it didn't disappoint then nor any of the times I've been since... DeSano has now become a go-to and a "must stop" when my family is visiting from out of town. They use very fresh and clean ingredients - and even inspired me to start using San Marzano tomatoes when cooking at home.

Cheap and fast pizza spot. I was served my pizza within 10 minutes of sitting down. It was delicious! A good average pizza spot for a weekday dinner!

I rarely leave reviews for food I order online (since I know nothing about the ambiance, etc), but this pizza was so good that I had to write one. I never usually eat pizza crust but they've made theirs to perfection and I can't help myself, eating the crust happily. It's a Margherita and it hits all the right notes on flavors. I'm originally from NY and this is the best pizza I've had in Austin, better than any pizza I had during my 15 years in miami, and yes, better than some of the pizza I've had in NY. It's made with love, you can tell!

The pizza was delicious. Authentic, woodfired, Neapolitan Pizza. Our DoorDash Delivery person was not the best, and our pizza was crumpled but it was still amazing. We got the Large Desano Pizza ($26) and the Nutella Banana Pizza (+$12 to add on). Boy did I not feel good about myself after housing these two pizzas in bed while watching a movie on my laptop but it was totally worth it lol

Incredible pie. Watch out. If you purchase a side of the garlic butter, you may find yourself eating crust smothered in infused butter. I prefer this location versus downtown. Primarily because of its size and the convenience of parking.

I am not sure why more people aren't talking about this place, for the one main reason of it being AMAZING! New fav pizza place in Austin! Went here to try for a work meeting and love it and the leftovers so much that I brought my family back to try it the next day. They were all huge fans as well! I got one of their stuffed calzones with meatballs, and we also got another one with prosciutto, both delicious! We also tried the pizza "The Pig" and were big fans! They have lots of seating inside as well as outside, everyone there was super nice and helpful and it was FAST! They have all their pizza ovens firing and ready to go! There is a a small parking lot out front. Note there isn't pizza by the slice but who needs it when you can get a delicious whole pizza!

Everything about this place is remarkable: the pizza is delicious, the staff are all kind and courteous, and the restaurant itself is very well maintained (clean & well organized). I've been in twice when the owner was stopping by and both times he made a point to visit with customers about their experience, and even offer their garlic butter to those with uneaten crusts. I've yet to have a bad experience here and have been coming for at least a year now!

This is a fast casual pizza joint serving up Neapolitan style pies (my personal favorite style). You walk up and order, then the hot pizzas are made right in front of you and brought out fresh. We had two different pizzas (Il Maiale aka "The Pig" and the Capricciosa) which were both fantastic. Our salad was also light and refreshing. The dough is thin but substantial with a perfect char on the sides. Topped with fresh mozzarella, red sauce, and basil, you can't go wrong! The staff are efficient and bring food out promptly. Tables are long and communal, with paper towel napkins and grab-your-own silverware. Great stop for a quick, fresh bite!

Highly recommend this place for authentic pizza! Excellent service as well- they gave our kids pizza dough to play with (so smart!) and also gave them paper hats.

Good pizza place in Austin serving Neapolitan pizza. I loved their Margherita Classica, even for takeout. They give you heating instructions so you can heat the pizza up at home, and it comes out tasting delicious. I'm even a fan of the crust.

We were looking for a new pizza spot to try and stumbled across DeSano. When we arrived they welcomed us and explained the menu to us. We ordered two personal pizzas: the Margherita D.O.P (& added mushrooms) and the DeSano. Both were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. It's a low key ambiance and they also have beer on tap. We finished off our meal with the pistachios cannoli. The cannoli was just okay. Needless to say, from start to finish we enjoyed our experience. We will be back!

Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 One of the best pizza place in town. Perfect balance of tangy sauce, basil and dough. Salt is perfectly balanced in the flavor of the dough. Charred from the oven is too good. Pizza is thin so you better eat it fast. We ordered a 16" pizza. Good for 2 people. Ambiance is good enough. Not a lot of people as it was Thursday night. Felt safe place to eat and spend time. Interior has a nice Vespa parked indoor and those 5-6 big ovens produce magic.

Ordered for take out, one was pretty good the other just okay. But very expensive and pizza doesn't do well the next day. Maybe our experience woulda been different if we dined in. But too pricy for how it tasted.

My favorite Napoletana style pizza. I've gotten their Margherita several times and it never disappoints. The dough is fresh and baked to bubbly, gluten-y perfection. The San Marzano sauce is sweet and paired perfectly with melted mozzarella and aromatic fresh basil. Also check out their caprese. The thick sliced tomato, layered on cheese and the sprinkled olive oil and salt on top is the chef's kiss. Service is always fast and friendly. Seating is also self-serve. There are large community tables throughout the restaurant so grab a seat and make friends with your neighbors.

Excellent thin crust wood oven pizza. Just the right ratio of crust to toppings. The toppings seemed fresh and they had lots of interesting choices.

Fantastic pizza! This is in my top three for pizza in Austin, they're fast and friendly, easy in and out to pick up too, if you're on the fence, go try it!
