Deserie Restaurant

It is my first time visiting this lovely restaurant. My friend had said wonders about it, specially about their grilled octopus, I have to say I’m super impressed! The food was delicious, the service absolutely magnificent, and the restaurant super clean and lovely. We even had a complementary drink from the owner. Super super pleased!

The best there is! From the staff to the food, true Cyprus in a Uk Resteraunt. Anyone who says otherwise is simply wrong! Free fresh fruit without even asking!

Well, 8 years later had the opportunity to dine there again. The experience wasn’t as expected commensurate to what we paid. Service was poor and inattentive. Plates were almost thrown onto the tables and wine never topped up.. I had a much better experience at a place not so upmarket as Deserie. Unfortunately I won’t be going back.

A long established Cypriot restaurant that specializes in grilled food. Very clean and well managed with a buzzy atmosphere.

I was there on 20th December and was very much looking forward to it with my family only to be disappointed. I saw the lamb on the spit roast and was looking forward to it and also my other son ordered it as he likes it to ,but the lamb was disappointing it lacked flavour and didn't really have a nice lean and the fat tasted salty instead fat tasting juicy from the skin. We also ordered calameries which were nothing special. When I paid cash I was expecting a bit of change back but no one come bk even though we paid 23 pounds or so in service charges. We got the calameries to go in a box and when we opened the calameries there were 4 short then when we gave back the plates,which was surprising. I was recommended by someone who goes often he was surprised by my experience

The food at this Greek restaurant was pretty decent —authentic flavours and fresh ingredients. The souvlaki was delicious and the mezzes were tasty. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively. They had good selection of alcohol drinks and were kind to offer us digestive drink on the house. The only downside was that I felt a bit rushed during the meal. The staff were attentive, but it seemed like they were eager to turn over tables quickly, which took away from the otherwise relaxed, Mediterranean vibe I was expecting. Overall, a good spot for Greek food—just wish the pacing of the service was a little more relaxed!

First time here at Deserie, booked a table for 2 at 7pm. We were seated straight away. The manager man came out and greeted us with a pleasant warm welcoming vibe. The starters came out super quick, fast service and waitress was very attentive. The other waiter saw us finish our starters and ask if we are ready for the main meal, that too also came out so fast. The quality of the food tastes very nice seasoned and served with LOVE. Got full quiet quickly so didn’t fancy a desert … when waiting for the bill they brought over a small plate of complimentary fruits which I thought was really nice. So nice to see a lot of customers come in and out, very clean and super fast service Thank you very much

Been wanting to visit here for a while and it didn’t disappoint, it was very busy on a Saturday night, restaurant was full and buzzing. We had a booking for 8pm, the food was lovely we had the full Meze with fish & meat, everything we had was lovely and well time, loved all the hot & cold starters. The waiters were pleasant and friendly, they even gave us a shot of liquor on the house at the end of our meal which was appreciated. Will definitely visit again.

You know there's Greek food and then there's Cypriot Greek food, and let me tell you, the latter is the absolute one. This spot is authentic. And the best part? It's just a stroll away from my place (not that it matters to you). The starters are great - you've got the choice of cold or warm mezes, calamari, dolmas, all the usual suspects for a Greek place. When it comes to the mains, I highly recommend the sheftalias and pork kebab (sorry Kosher and Halal gang), or go for the mixed grill if you can't decide. They even do really nice fish dishes as well, seabass and salmon are worth a mention. And don't forget to grab some chips - they use the proper Cypriot potatoes. Weekdays are usually quiet, but on weekends it can get busy so it's worth booking ahead. The service is alright, nothing special - but hey, it's Greek, what do you expect? As for parking, it's not amazing - there's a tiny lot across the street and you can park at Cockfosters station.

If you want authentic Greek food, then this place is an excellent choice. The Meze is good, where you get a selection of small plates to share, and includes everything from olives and hummus to kebabs and sheftalia. Their fish courses are very good too, and I can particularly recommend the charcoal grilled octopus - delicious with a feta salad and lots of lemon juice. Portions are big and you won't leave hungry. If you are going with a big group it's best to call ahead and make reservations especially on the weekend. The downside to this place is that it is small and when it is busy, it can feel a bit claustrophobic, and it's loud so it's difficult to have a good conversation. The decor is not my taste, I think it would benefit from looking a little more Mediterranean, but otherwise can't complain.

The food is authentic Greek cuisine, beautifully presented and deliciously prepared. Staff is friendly and helpful. It packed on a Thursday night! We were a group of 4 and had the Meze plates. There was more than enough food. You need to pace yourself through the meal. My only regret was that it was very loud. Difficult to have a conversation, but the food was amazing

In my opinion Deserie is an automatic first choice if you want a good Greek meal specialy I love the meze there . Good service , good food , good atmosphere , and the owner is always there making sure everything runs smoothly .

had lunch today here, really lovely food and atmosphere. We had lamb souvlaki with rice and salad, lamb really lean and tender, cooked just pink in the middle as I like it. Pudding was a HUGE dish of greek yoghurt and honey. So luscious. Can't recommend highly enough.
