Google
Wanted to step away from my normal routine of drinking Starbucks, so I utilized the Yelp app to track down some coffee spots in my area. What intrigued me about this place was name of the coffee options.. cute and funny! As a lover of Breaking Bad, I ordered a Walter White. This location can be found nestled away in a small shopping center off of Sahara and Buffalo. Seems like a great place to study, lots of space for sitting, pastries were available, as well as some trinkets that were in display for sale. When I walked in it wasn’t a very welcoming atmosphere, ( no Hi or good mornings) but they did offer to any answer questions. Which I did ask what was the popular drinks .. Walter White being one of them. I ordered that and headed out. I give the drink a 6/10 I can tell it’s strong(good thing) it’s not too sweet and a good mix of caramel and I believe white chocolate. Cozy spot, quite natural decor I recommend checking it out.

Google
This is my favorite coffee shop in Las Vegas. It's one of the very few places where you can get a pour over of different kinds of coffee from all over the world. They roast in house and so the coffee is fresh, and the the people there are interesting to talk to. If you just want a big cup of sugar syrup then go to Dutch Brothers or Starbucks but if you want real coffee this is a great place to go.

Last time I was in Vegas with my son, we visited all 3 days. Excellent staff and fantastic espresso and coffee drinks. I had a cortado and an espresso con panna and both were outstanding. Highly recommended for a great coffee shop.

Google
My favorite coffee shop in all of Las Vegas. They have amazing coffee and organic beans you can purchase by the pound. I recommend the Walter white, iced flynn, or the matcha. The best matcha I’ve had in Vegas. A great place to read or get work done as well.

Google
I can always count on this place to be awesome. Compared to other coffee shops I'd say it's: quieter, more chill, more home-like. Coffee is legit, definitely no skimping there.

Google
Such a hidden gem! Great coffee & really friendly staff who are committed to your coffee tasting how you want it to. Really impressed with the cozy feel.

Google
I had an amazing experience at this coffee shop! The must-try drink is the dirty Thai tea; trust me, you won't be disappointed. The staff is consistently friendly and provides exceptional customer service. Make sure to grab a few bags of their locally roasted coffee to show support for small businesses. Overall, this place is top-notch!

Yelp
This was our first time there, the staff were very attentive and prompt. The selection was great, almost had a paralysis of choice. We are looking forward to coming back and trying a lot of different beverages. The vibe in the room was chill and welcoming. As a bit of a coffee snob, I'll be trying some of their in-store roasted coffee beans at home. I love being able to support local businesses that support my caffeine addiction.

Yelp
I stopped in for a matcha latte and to work on my projects and writings on my laptop. It was a great environment for that, though i had trouble finding an outlet since my laptop's battery is kaput, so i switched to getting stuff done on my cell phone. The service was quick and friendly and i didn't feel like i was a bother or pressured after sitting in there for about an hour and a half. Great cafe, great matcha

Yelp
Wow! I really got put on! I absolutely loved this place. My husband had been a few times and kept telling me how awesome it was. I finally went and it has become my new favorite coffee spot. They have it all!!! Looking for a particular coffee, I'm sure they got it. The menu can be a lil overwhelming but the staff's very helpful. The music is not too low so you can actually have a study here as we were doing and there was a book club that showed up as well. I got the Gustavo and added the caramel syrup. If you like strong coffee this one was it. My husband got the Eun Addition. It was okay. It was also strong but very thick and nutty in my opinion. I can't wait to be back

Yelp
Plenty of indoor seating. Good place to work/study. They have various coffee and non coffee items. Plenty of onsite free parking as well. Service was prompt and helpful with pointing out their popular items. They roast their coffee beans onsite and while there had lots of orders to prepare (for the coffee beans). Ambiance is a shabby chic coffee shop.

Yelp
5 stars . Hands down. This is .y first time and I'm very impressed. I love the visuals, from the giant bags of coffee beans to the mini coffee mugs . What a great concept. Old fashioned table and chairs on the outside for customers to sit and drink. I noticed the menu had sone good little treats. The customer service was really good and appreciated. My coffee is hot and sweet just like I like it. That's what we want inthe morning in and out and service with a smile. Yes. I'm telling others to visit.

Yelp
If I could pick one retail establishment to be closer to my house in the entire city this would be that place! Amazing assortment of beans for the home grinder in all of us. Pour overs available in multiple sizes, multiple single origin drip options. A coffee connoisseurs dream! The batistas are knowledgeable about the respective beans and can recommend a flavorful drink as well. There are plenty of spots to sit inside. You would never guess such a gem would be tucked away in a nondescript strip mall but here they are!

Yelp
This place always feels welcoming with a relaxed vibe every time I come in. I'm always greeted with a hello and open to answer any questions I might have. I ordered an iced Gustavo as I needed a boost for the afternoon. Great tasting coffee! It also got the job done!

Yelp
cool hidden cafe spot, definitely has that desert and antique/western type of aesthetic- lives up to the name for sure. they sell desert animals magnets, crystal beaded bracelets, hand made pottery coffee mugs/bowls, collectibles and all kinds of unique hand crafts as well as their coffee beans. i was very excited for, either their matcha or the dirty thai tea. Their matcha is culinary grade rather than ceremonial, so i decided to pass on the matcha and try out the "Dirty thai tea latte" instead, now i was actually excited for it due to the fact it is a very unique combination as it is ( 2 expresso shots with thai tea latte) and i would say it definitely tasted amazing. The only downside is that the thai tea already comes pre made so you cannot alter the sweetness level or milk alternatives as it comes pre made with half and half milk. I usually like my drinks unsweetened~half sweet, so in my opinion it was veryyy sweet and i was unable to alter the sweetness level. overall, it is a unique place with unique hand made collectibles, if i happen to be near by i will give this place another try for a different coffee and milk alternatives, as this place has great reviews on their coffee i'm sure all it needs is the sweetness levels more balanced!

Yelp
I popped in for my coffee fix and ordered their best seller Walter white iced latte and Thai tea latte! Great tasting drinks! So glad I stumbled upon this cafe! It was very nice and cozy inside; a great place to study and meet friends. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Incredibly cozy, spacious cafe with a large selection of drinks. Hot and iced teas, hot and iced coffees, matcha, espresso shots and more. I've visited a couple of times. During my most recent visit, I was greeted by a friendly cashier. She offered to give me recommendations and was really patient as I sifted through the menu on the board. I ordered a matcha latte. She brought out an iced latte because I didn't specify and she assumed I wanted an iced drink since it is middle of summer. She kindly remade my drink because I intended to order a hot latte. Thankfully it was a non-issue. I sat and read my book for about half an hour. It's not too loud in there nor is it too quiet. There were about 12 other customers in the shop when I stopped by and still a few seats open. Will definitely be back when I'm on that side of town.

Yelp
Due to inflation, prices are now in line with the market average and so I decided to give this shop another chance. I got the Flynn which was my favorite drink here back in 2018. Not sure if my standard for coffee has gone up, or if the taste just got worse here, but I can say that I wasn't a fan of the taste this time around. I asked my brother to try the coffee and he said it was disgusting, so maybe something has changed? Perhaps the baristas aren't making the drink correctly? Or maybe the recipe has changed some? I'm not opposed to giving them another chance sometime, but just had to say that this time I was really disappointed with my drink.

Yelp
Desert Wind Coffee Roasters is a Vegas coffee shop gem! With a wide array of coffee beans and drinks, any coffee fan will walk away satisfied! Their brewed coffee is always fresh and delicious. The Walter White latte is delicious and well balanced. The staff are wonderful, and the interior is a really great hang out too! I will always recommend Desert Wind to anybody looking for a new coffee shop to check out.

Yelp
You walkin and then two at the front counter acknowledge you one comes up ask you what you want. I asked for a suggestion on which muffin to get, the person at the cashier station had two suggestions told her to pick one. It was a vanilla chocolate chip muffin. I mean it's good. I wouldn't get it again. I probably wouldn't get any other muffins again, but it was good and it would probably be really good dipped in hot coffee. I chose the Walter white drink which next time I'll choose something else. When this one was explained, it sounded a lot better, but I'm not mad at it. I just won't get this one again. Either last time I went to drink was really good. That's why I'm giving him a four star this time and nothing less because I know they're good. It was just a wrong drink of choice in my opinion.

Yelp
Desert Wind Coffee Roasters is located on Sahara and Buffalo. Inside is a relaxing atmosphere with good seating. Menu offers a variety of drinks from freshly brewed coffee, organic hot tea, espresso, latte, iced tea, and refreshing lemonade. I had Matcha Green Ice Tea, it's light and very cooling! They even have a nice selection of baked goods and pastries. Service is friendly and welcoming!

Yelp
Before work I had to come and get my Iced Walter White. It's so good that I had to share a cup of greatness with my co worker. The Walter White is a must try.

Yelp
I stopped in here while on a whim and they have great coffee! The baristas were super friendly and it's a larger coffee shop with plenty of seating. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Preem coffee spot nestled away in the corner of a small shopping plaza. I got the cappucino and my girl got a matcha latte both were great and flavorful, the coffee had no bitterness and was pleasant to sip on, my girl said the same about the matcha latte, the banana bread was also fresh tasting. The staff were polite and welcoming and had been ready to answer any questions. 10/10 would suggest this place if you are in the area. very well deserved 5 stars for this local business!! Stop in and give them a shot if you are in the area

Yelp
What a wonderful coffee cafe. Fresh roasted beans on-site and a fun menu of drinks. We ordered the Hazelnut Latte ($4.25) which was a really tasty, and the Thai Tea Latte ($4.25), which was just as delicious, sweet, and creamy as you'd hope for. I have my eye on their coconut cream frappe next time I visit for sure. It's a popular coffee cafe, with people coming, going, and relaxing, but there's a good amount of indoor seating (tables with chairs, armchairs and sofa seating). There is plenty of room to relax, work, study, etc. They also provide a few chairs on their dog friendly front patio. It's a bit of a small, busy parking lot in front of the cafe, and it seemed to fill up fast, so be aware. The vibe is casual- a great place to sit, hang out, and enjoy your cuppa for a bit. Service was friendly and helpful as well. I also enjoyed seeing the items for purchase. They carry bags of their coffee, mugs, canisters, and other coffee related items as well as some local artisan goods for sale. Probably the best part? The kindest and nicest staff you could hope for. Thanks Desert Wind! We look forward to returning again and again.

Yelp
My wife and I were actually going to The Coffee Class grand opening but the line was out the door and around the building. So we wanted to find a new place we have never been. We luckily stumbled across Desert Wind Coffee Roasters. The ambiance is great, the drinks were amazing, and the employees were awesome! Highly recommend visiting them. We will for sure be back! Try the Breaking Bad drinks!

Yelp
Love the vibe. Great for a date or working. Enjoyed the freshness from the coffee. On the sweeter side though, so will be doing half sweet next time.

Had the a"Walter white " coffee , which is their hesinberg drink plus half and half . SOOOO GOOD! Quality coffee beans that u can taste with every sip, and the pre wrapped blueberry muffin was also FIRE! Staff were super friendly and helpful in their recommendations on drinks !!! Loved my experience here

Yelp
Found this place on accident and so glad I did! It's a small business and the coffee is delicious! They have a whole menu with fun names for the drinks in ode to the show Breaking Bad. But the names aren't the only thing fun about this place. The seating area is warm, inviting, eclectic in decor and a great place to sit with friends and enjoy your coffee or one of the treats they offer. I ordered a hot Americano with almond milk and SF Vanilla. It was perfect! Not too hot, not too cold, in the words of Goldie Locks it was "just right". Hands down better than the SB's version in my opinion. About the same price, maybe .50 more. My friend got one of the more fun flavored drinks off the Breaking Bad menu. I don't remember the name but she really liked hers too. We both agreed we will definitely come back.

Yelp
Are you up for good energy?... then this is the place. Always a clean energy in this place, comfortable seating, dedicated workforce, plants, WiFi, tables, and a couch area. I come here to meet people or work on quiet projects or to get work done or to just sit staring into nothing enjoying a matcha latte with oat milk. Thank you to the Desert Wind Coffee Roasters for providing a place in my growing hometown that delivers satisfying experiences to me on every visit. Correct orders, knowledgeable staff, clean restrooms, and DELICIOUS beverages.

Yelp
Met with my colleague here for a morning meeting. A quaintly spot with vintage like furnishings. Empty bags of coffee beans hang. The house coffee is delicious. Not acidic in the least. We sat for over an hour in comfy chairs. A nice place to visit!

Yelp
I saw the small coffee shop on my way up Durango and decided to finally stop in. It's nestled in the corner so it could be a little hard to miss, but there is ample parking in the plaza, which is nice. Upon walking in your greeted by a sweet man running a small business selling his wife's body care products, I decided to support and purchase a body cream, which I absolutely love. I'm pretty sure he is not employed by the coffee shop, but nonetheless had a great experience with him. I was standing at the cashier with no line in front of me for about a minute before I was greeted by the gentleman running the front. I mentioned it was my first time and he was so sweet giving me great recommendations. I was a little thrown off when he started recommending some of the pastries, this place individually wraps Costco pastries and cookies and sells them. The price point to their drinks is very reasonable, but there's no pricing on their pastries so buy with caution or ask before. I did end up ordering the Walter white and one of the individually wrapped banana breads. I paid about $13 for a drink & banana bread. I must say the banana bread was delicious (it wasn't a Costco pastry, but rather from a small bakery). Upon first glance at my drink, the entirety was milk, after mixing it turns a very light brown. For me, the milk to coffee ratio wasn't adding up. I probably wouldn't recommend getting this one, despite it being one of their most popular drinks, simply from my personal experience. The interior of the coffee shop is definitely cozy and an easy place to relax and pop open your laptop for work. Overall, it was a decent spot, and I may pop in to try something different. My review is as follows: - Food: 3/5 (my drink order) - Service: 4/5 - Ambiance: 5/5

Yelp
The recommended walter white latte was good AF! The drink wasnt too sweet and tasted pretty good! I did make the mistake of getting a sweet drink in the morning and was tired as f by the afternoon due to drink coma

Yelp
Where do you go to after a dentist's appointment? To a coffee shop, of course! My dentist is literally right down the street, and being the local coffee joint lover I am, I chose to check them out right after my semi annual cleaning. Wow, I am happy that I did, because their coffee was so good! They have a wide variety of light snacks and drinks to choose from and they even have Breaking Bad themed drinks (FYI, fantastic TV show). My mom and I have been going to dentist appointments together over the past 20 years or so (just a force of habit in today's world, haha) and she wanted to try them out too. Desert Wind is a little hole in the wall place. It can be found in a gas station parking lot right on the corner of Sahara and Buffalo. The inside has lots of seating and comfortable cushioned chairs, which makes it the perfect place to study or get some work done. With so many coffee options that they had, I had to take a minute to look over the menu. When I finally made my decision, I ordered a caramel latte and my mom ordered a salted caramel mocha, both iced. I also decided to buy a muffin since I was hungry, so I got their double chocolate muffin. My mom wanted one as well and ordered a pumpkin muffin. What I liked about the muffins is that they were wrapped, so that they stay fresh. The caramel latte was abundant and delicious and it paired perfectly with my muffin. This was one of the best lattes I've had in a while. My mom said that she enjoyed her salted caramel mocha. I really want to come back again, but I just wish that this coffee shop was closer to us, as I only go to the dentist twice a year. Service was excellent and our drinks came out quickly. Again, I'll be back next time I'm on this side of town after my next dentist appointment and beyond, or some other occasion that requires me to come up here.

Yelp
I'm absolutely disgusted!!! There were maggots in the "Just Bananas" that my wife ordered in store and bit into. Maggots. MAGGOTS!!! My wife has been throwing up all morning and is nauseated. How negligent do you have to be to allow this to happen to the foods you serve? We're very patient people with food businesses & employees - it's not easy operating a restaurant. There's a small food in our hair? We let it slide. Incorrect order received? No big deal. Bad service? We understand. We never leave bad reviews. But this is absolutely horrible, disgusting and unforgivable. Never coming back here. Cannot for the life of me understand how someone can allow this to happen in their food establishment. How negligent do you have to be to allow this to happen??? LITERAL MAGGOTS. DISGUSTING AND REVOLTING.
google avatar

Tracey H.

Yelp
OMG! I'm sad I don't live nearby. This is a great coffee place! My first time there, I asked about some of their drinks. I said I like vanilla lattes, so she suggested a brown sugar something or other. It's an off-menu suggestion. I asked for oat milk because of my long drive home. Boy, was I happy! Please go here!
google avatar

Yelp
Drawn in by the Breaking Bad inspired drinks, I finally paid this place a visit to try The Walter White which is double espresso, chocolate, caramel, and half and half. There's also The Heisenberg which is the same thing without half and half. The beverage was honestly perfectly sweet and the coffee was soooooo good. They also roast their beans on site :) Other Breaking Bad drinks: The Jesse: Double ristretto The Flynn: Double espresso, coconut cream, + caramel sauce This coffee shop is tucked away in a little strip mall with plenty of parking. The inside is definitely decorated to a desert-like vibe. There's a good amount of seating but it was completely full when I came. Service was also great. It's a bit out of the way for me but I'll for sure be coming back whenever I'm in the area. You gotta give this place a try!
google avatar

Jackie G.

Yelp
I came here this morning because I was not looking for the hustle and bustle. I enjoyed that it was quiet and peaceful. The seating was cozy and felt like you came to your mom's house for some coffee. The staff was so nice, I think the owner may have been there also, very kind woman. The beans are roasted in house so the coffee tastes is especially fresh the coffee was bold in flavor and served super hot, how I like it. I love this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop!! Never would have known this was here! Happy to have found it. You can't see if from Buffalo as it's behind a gas station. So many choices and I was holding the line up!! So got an iced coffee. The barista said it's one of the more poplilar creamy drinks! I agree.
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
Freshly roasted espresso beans I know my Breville loves it! Besides going there for my monthly bag I always have to try a new seasonal flavor. Currently obsessed with their iced Thai Tea but make it dirty with a shot of espresso. Lots of seating inside but come early because there's always people gathering at the tables for meetings or working on their laptops!

Yelp
I just found this place. I really like vesta, but definitely fruitier coffee. I wanted to get different beans & love the shop. Great customer service, cappuccino, & cute cups to purchase. It was pretty packed, but service was quick!! Great find & will be back.

Yelp
One of the best coffees I've had in US. Their Red Rock blend is amazing!! Whenever I visit Vegas or know someone who's going, I always make it a point to ask for a pack of those beans. All the coffees are made to perfection, especially the Walter White one is to die for! Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Vegas!!
google avatar

Yelp
This isn't okay. In no world would this ever be okay. There should be 0 stars on here because I would give it. I support small businesses, I can and will always support small businesses, but after my experience today I will never come back here. Decided to get some coffee and their "just bananas" and after we had left the establishment, I have come to the horrifying realization that there's MAGGOTS in these bananas. How old are these??? They had 4 or 5 maggots in them!!! This makes me question their sanitation, this makes me question how old their stuff is. Even if they could rectify this situation, we could never trust them to come back.

Yelp
Traveled a lot and have had lots of great cups of coffee. Had the Walter White and it blew my mind. Everyone is super friendly and service was great. Very quaint and homie. Pastries delicious! We bragged about this place the entire soccer game and a few parents are heading your way.

Yelp
I love this place! It's one of my favorite coffee shops in Vegas! One of the nicest places to enjoy some tasty coffee and relax!

Yelp
Updating my review after years of coming here several times a week. As always, everything remains excellent... a welcoming and comfortable spot to enjoy in house roasted coffee with a universally pleasant staff. I found it amusing after reading some of the recent negative reviews, because it really highlights how many complete imbeciles exist in the world. To the idiot complaining about the price... this is easily one of if not the lowest price coffee houses in town and when you factor in the quality of the goods, there is no comparison. Yet, businesses (and customers looking for USEFUL feedback on businesses) have to suffer through moronic detritus like factually nonsensical complaints about price. Try going to Coffee Class where the same size latte is $8 compared to DW where it is 5.25. Try Cafe du Sud where it is $7+, Coffee Religion where it's $6.50... the list is endless because frankly I'm not sure anywhere in town is priced anywhere close and doesn't have the quality and in house roasting. After all these years, as someone who has had coffee all over town at tons of coffee houses... are there other places with great coffee? Absolutely (Coffee Class for it's CRIMINALLY OVERPRICED rip off pricing DOES have excellent coffee, Foxtrot coffee, Bad Owl and a few others). Are some places more reasonably priced than others? Sure. Are some more comfortable and enjoyable to sit and sip your drink than others? Yup. For me, the coffee at Desert Wind remains the absolute tastiest, and when combined with the best prices, superb and friendly staff and enjoyable environment... best coffee house in town. That's why I still make the 20 minute drive for coffee 3-5 times a week and pass by countless other terrible, average or even decent coffee houses.

Yelp
So glad we found this coffee shop. Customer service was great and fast. I started with a Peanut Butter Cup Latte and my fiancè who is not a coffee person loved it and kept it. I ordered a walter white and again we were not dissapointed. Cant wait to come back.

Yelp
Very good coffees! Ordered a black americano and it was super smooth and delicious. The interior has plenty of good seating from sofas to comfy padded chairs. I normally opt for Starbucks as they're consistently mediocre, but this place was excellent. Most indie coffee shops are worse than Starbucks but this place is way better.

Yelp
A cozy spot with great decor, nice seating areas, friendly service and a great menu! My first time here, I don't live in the area but I was near by so I wanted to try as I love a local coffee shop! I found this place through Yelp and when I saw the "Breaking Bad" theme, I knew I needed to check it out! I was very happy with my order. It was a pricey drink but I'd rather spend my money at a mom and pop than a corporation LOL. & you'd pay that much at a corporate coffee shop

Yelp
This coffee shop is hidden, tucked away in the back of a strip mall, on the SE corner of Buffalo Dr. and W. Sahara Ave. Lucky for me, the coffee shop is very close to my office. I've only been here twice, but had wonderful experiences from both visits. Customer service is always stellar. The coffee is fresh & tasty. I had the Guatemala brew today, which was good with a hint of fruitiness. The shop is also cozy w/ a hodgepodge of decor, and plenty of seats & tables. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
I found Desert Wind Coffee Roasters through Yelp and it was a short drive from the Asian market, 10 minutes. It was a bit hard to find since I was coming from the opposite direction and I couldn't see their entrance or signage until I turned into the parking lot. They are located towards the end of the building. This place is cool! It feels like someone's home because of the worn in furniture along with relaxing music and the smell of coffee. I ordered an iced mocha and a pour over coffee since they don't offer brewed coffee after 2pm. Both drinks were excellent and we even hung out for a few minutes on the comfy chairs. It was a nice little break for me before driving back to the hotel. Their prices were also very reasonable compared to what I paid when I bought coffee at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip. I highly recommend stopping by here and trying their coffees.

Yelp
What a beautiful coffee place and great selection of coffee drinks. Love our local places. I was brought there by a co worker, it's a bit far from me but will always keep in mind for when I'm in that side of town. It's always great to have favorite places all over town!! I bought some of their coffee to try .. excellent friends hang out. It's a hidden treasure!

Yelp
This is one of the times I really wish there was an option for a half star, because if there was, I would give it 3.5 stars. It's not bad, it's certainly better than your options on the strip. But I think my visit was colored by too high of expectations. The interior of the place is certainly interesting, with plenty of wall and other art giving it tons of character. There were only a few others in line when I got there, so I was able to get my drink order in promptly, but I guess there was some confusion, and I was skipped over briefly, though they rectified it when they realized I was still standing, waiting politely. I suspect they just had someone new working. Usually when I go to a place like this, I order from whatever specialty latte menu, because I feel like whatever they highlight must be something they're good at. I did that here (Heisenberg), and it was fine, but not really anything special. The same went for the Croissant I ordered. Neither were bad, but not something I would likely go out of my way to order again. Overall, it's a good option for locals in the area, but I don't know that I would make a special trip.

Yelp
Searching for coffee off the Starbucks grid, while traveling, is always a gamble. Relying on Yelp reviews helps to navigate this market and sometimes we get a great coffee and sometimes we get just the average Joe. Desert Wind is a unique and worthwhile place to get a genuine, high quality coffee or coffee drink. The Breaking Bad themed drinks are a bonus and very creative. The atmosphere is like an old school coffee shop and there was a good amount of people enjoying the sitting areas or working on their laptops. We enjoyed a few iced drinks, and mine was non-dairy. It was a great find to explore and I'd definitely go again. No need for pictures, as there are plenty to suffice already Happy caffeinating, all!
