Desert Wind Coffee Roasters

Desert Wind Coffee is a bit off the beaten path in an area about 15 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. My partner and I came here for our morning coffees. I ordered a hot latte, and my partner ordered an iced latte. We thought the coffees were great. They were flavorful and bold. We also enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. They have some decorations that are inspired by the Breaking Bad tv series. I thought that was cool. We didn't try the food at that time. Possibly next time. I definitely recommend their coffee!

I'm absolutely disgusted by this place!!! There were maggots in the "Just Bananas" that my wife ordered in store and bit into. Maggots. How negligent do you have to be to allow this to happen to the foods you serve? My wife has been throwing up all morning and is nauseated. We're very patient people with food businesses & employees - it's not easy operating a restaurant. Small food in our hair? We let it slide. Incorrect order received? No big deal. Bad service? We understand. We never leave bad reviews. But this is absolutely horrible, disgusting and unforgivable. Never coming back here. Cannot for the life of me understand how someone can allow this to happen in their food establishment. How negligent do you have to be to allow this to happen??? LITERAL MAGGOTS. DISGUSTING AND REVOLTING.

I had an amazing experience at this coffee shop! The must-try drink is the dirty Thai tea; trust me, you won't be disappointed. The staff is consistently friendly and provides exceptional customer service. Make sure to grab a few bags of their locally roasted coffee to show support for small businesses. Overall, this place is top-notch!

It was a cold winter day in Vegas when I stepped foot inside this coffee shop and glad I did because their coffee was delicious. I ordered the Walter and the better half the salted caramel mocha. Both were flavoursome and well made. Going to have to try another. They seem to have frequent flyers which was a good indicator.

My husband and I love, love coffee. We saw this place and knew we had to try it out. We got a bag of Area 51 and the Tanzania to try. Love, love the Area 51 as a pour over. I am right now on my second cup this morning and already looking forward to getting another bag of it. Thanks for supplying great coffee! We will be back.

Update from 2 years ago: Nice hole-in-the-wall spot to go to and enjoy alone time. The staff was VERY accomodating and patient with me because I didn't know what to get since I had never been here before. I got the Heisenberg coffee and a cheese danish pastry (not bad at all). Coffee isn't the best, but it's not bad. They've changed the interior design a bit and it isn't as crowded anymore. There were a lot of people coming and going within the 2 hours I was there.

This is a fantastic place and very worth driving away from the strip. Make sure to check the specials - the PB+J Latte was very good. Eun's Addiction (as a latte) was great too. There are lots of seats and chill music, perfect to chat with people.

Desert Wind Coffee Roasters has some rave reviews so I took a little adventure across Las Vegas to visit. The coffee was great! And the ambience has a wonderful community vibe. Service was just ok. On this day I visited it was not overly friendly or helpful with some of the custom drinks. Just seemingly there to do their job on this day. I spoke with some residents and they noted that this used to be a very highly rated hip spot to visit. I'll come back on a weekend and do an update. 😊
