This place is such a delight! The folks running the place are some of the sweetest people on the planet. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is amazing! Easily some of the best avocado toast we’ve ever had and the breakfast quesadilla was light yet filling. The flavors on both were on point, nothing over done and everything was complementary. The coffee and espresso are ground in front of you fresh and prepared with care. You need to stop in and try this!

Desforra is the best cafe in No Libs! The owner and the staff are so sweet and great members of the community. The coffee was fantastic and they do a punch card where you can get five coffees and the next one is free! What a steal!

I was looking for a quick spot to get some coffee and eat before a show at the Filmore, and this place blew me away. The atmosphere is chill and cozy, and the food is absolutely incredible. If you're looking for a laid back coffee spot with different options from the usual cafe food, give this place a shot! Their Portuguese sandwiches are incredible.

Came for coffee stayed for the food. It smells so good in here!! The green salsa is delicious and the people running this cafe are so nice! I would come back on customer service alone, but thankfully, the food is delicious 😋

How lucky are we to have Desforra in the neighborhood!! I stopped in just for a pasteis de nata, but because of the atmosphere I had to grab a sandwich and a coffee and stay a while. The prego no pão was cooked to perfection, the pasteis was flakey, and the coffee! THE COFFEE!! This is the place to go for some specialty beans. Can’t wait to come back—Celeste and Pedro are sure to make this a local institution. UPDATE: returned the next day for the steak tacos and the chicken tacos and the portions are GENEROUS. Will return regularly!

Excellent pastries and delicious coffee (which is their own house blend). Very fresh with bright flavors, and the owner was very kind and excited to talk about the business. Definitely coming back to try their savory selections!

Google
Desforra has hands down the best coffee in the area. Every drink is handmade with fresh beans, roasted less than a week ago here in the US. The food and pastries are authentic and delicious. Pedro and his wife provide a wonderful experience, and are true coffee enthusiasts that take pride in their craft. Can not recommend strongly enough!!

Everything was so delicious! We got the Portuguese egg tart and the beef and chicken empanadas, and they were all so yummy! The empanadas come with a homemade verde sauce which is a little spicy *fyi for the people who prefer non-spicy.* Personally, I love spicy foods so I thought the sauce was so delicious with the empanadas! The egg tart is one of my favorites from this cafe!! The service was very fast, and the ambiance of the cafe is very cozy and welcoming. The lady at the front, who was very friendly, explained every menu item to us, and everything sounded so delicious. I will definitely be back to try out the other menu items! If you plan on visiting Desforra Cafe, you need to try the egg tarts. You won't regret it!!

Yelp
I was looking for a place to get coffee while my daughters were at music lessons and saw this place. I'm glad I found it! The coffee is amazing and the owner is fabulous. He explained all of the pastries and where he buys the coffee from. The beef empanadas were delicious! The dough was light & buttery and the beef filling was seasoned just right. The only negative is finding parking, but the experience is definitely worth it!

Yelp
This was my first visit to Desforra, a new cafe in the neighborhood. I stopped by with a friend on a weekday to check it out. Ambiance and vibes are there. Cute decor, good pastries, personable and friendly owners. Hot tip .. the "menu" that is there, or at least was there when we visited Friday is not a menu LOL. The owner, or who I assume to be the owner was telling us on Friday that it was bought as a decoration.. but people (including me) keep ordering off of it. I'll be curious to see what they have next time for a menu when I stop by again! Regardless, I ordered the affogato off of their non-menu, but the owner made it happen. I kept telling them I would order something else and it's not a big deal, but he kept insisting and saying it was a big deal - guy's got a funny and big personality. The affogato and quality of espresso was great. My friend seemed to enjoy her latte too. They apparently source their pastel de nata from an authentic spot 2 hours away.. he said it was the best he could find and it's worth the drive. Overall, I had a great first visit and look forward to returning with my husband to check it out. Great place to have a coffee, read a book, enjoy a conversation with your friends.. or the owner ;)

Yelp
Charming Portuguese/Dominican café run by a friendly couple! It's clean, bright, and inviting, though indoor seating is limited. Luckily, there are a few outdoor tables that are perfect for a relaxed visit. We ordered coffee, a prego with egg, and pastel de nata. Despite a short line, it took over ~15 minutes to get our coffee and food. The prego came out for dine-in, but the pastel was packed to-go and served cold without the usual sugar on top. Still, the coffee was smooth and delicious -- I'll definitely be back for another cup and to give the pastel de nata another shot!

Yelp
Nice addition to the neighborhood. They open early so I can stop in before work. Lattes were good. The portuguese pastries were very tasty. The owner sends to really care about representing Portuguese food properly. But he also values his staff. He mentioned that the cook makes great Mexican food so he added some of his dishes to the menu. I like that. I'll be back for lunch soon.

Yelp
Owner is awesome. Per his special I came in dancing all awkward like and laughing cuz I'm the worst. And I was rewarded with free cup of coffee from his special selected blend. Pastel de natas on the way

Yelp
The jawn we've been waiting for-- amazing family owned spot that knows good coffee, great pastry, and even serves up excellent empanadas, tacos, and ceviche with a smile. Now they even have Pac-Man! Get in here and support the place. They do it right and are the only non-corporate spot serving coffee after 4 in Northern Liberties!

Yelp

Yelp
Welcome Desforra Cafe to the neighborhood! Stumbled upon this cute cafe at 3rd and Cambridge earlier this week and have already been back. The owners are lovely and the pastries are so delicious! Many of them are traditional Portuguese pastries, including a wonderful pastel de nata, but my favorite was the guava Bolla de Berlim! Can't wait to go back and try their coffee and lunch menu.

Yelp
I went to desforra for the first time a few days ago after walking past a few times. The food is home made and delicious, the value is really great, and the people are lovely. We got the empanadas, pastel de nata, and a breakfast quesadilla, all of which were great. Hoping to make it a regular spot! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Yelp
The was the best coffee I have had in this neighborhood and probably the best in the city. Very hot, creamy, rich coffee roast that is just amazing. The hosts are quite friendly and social. They are a great addition to the neighborhood for coffee and Portuguese food. They also have some Hispanic food and even cheesesteaks on Portuguese rolls. I look forward to visiting again soon and encourage you to try it.

Yelp
Just grabbed a chicken Piri Piri and a guava doughnut--both were absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to everyone. Celeste and Pedro were super welcoming and took the time to walk me through the menu, which made the experience even better. 5/5!

Yelp
Newly opened cafe. I don't leave reviews. They deserve it. The nata pastry is unbelievable and such cool people. You feel like a member of their family every time you walk in.

Yelp
Been super excited to try Desforra ever since they opened last week. The owners were super nice, and they explained everything on their menu and even let us try some of their authentic Portuguese baked goods! We will definitely be coming back to try their dinner menu.

Yelp
Desforra is a great addition to Northern Liberties. The owners, Peter and Celeste, were lovely. Their Portuguese Pastries and coffee were delicious, highly recommend!
