Convenient location and albeit their prices are a tiny bit more than larger chains (totally expected), that’s not the reason for one star. The reason for one star is discrepancy between price on tags and what rings on the register. They charge higher on the register. So that the owner doesn’t think I’m making this up. Currently the Parle hide and seek strawberry is labeled $0.99 and the jaggery based brittle (gur chiki from Gem brand) is labeled $1.99. They ring up $1.19 and $2.29 respectively. The cashier won’t honor the tag price either. Do better.

Very spacious and large selection of products compared to other Desi stores in the area. I agree with the other people regarding the large amount of expired products. I understand that they have a large selection and less employees but that is no excuse for all of the expired items. They should either figure out a better system or possibly hire someone else (even part-time) to solve the issue. Also, it would be great if they could start selling halal hfsaa certified meat

One of the better Indian stores in the West Chicagoland area. The pricing is comparable to and sometimes beats Nirav Express, if you're fine with a slightly smaller selection.

They are not punctual. They never open on time . So poor and irresponsible. Don’t visit them they’re waste of your time

Nice and clean place for Indian Pakistani groceries. The owner is super nice. i have been visiting this store for more than a decade. Highly recommended .

Baba is an amazing peron. I live close to bunch of desi stores but i still drive 15 minutes to shop here. Store have everything one needs and priced reasonably.

If I could give them negative stars - I would. We have been getting samosas and pakoras from Desi Bazaar in Glendale Heights for a while. Sometimes the pakoras are not as fresh. After giving them business for so long we tried the haleem. The haleem was ridiculously and extremely spicy - burning our tongues and making our chest filled up with heartburn with just one bite. It was as if someone made a huge mistake and dropped the whole container of chili powder in the haleem. That haleem should not have been sold. It was a health hazard! I called the establishment and was spoke to rudely by a worker there who kept lying to me with different excuses and telling me that there was no owner to speak to. When he figured I wouldn't budge miraculously the owner was available to speak to. She said hello, and I began to tell her about the issue with the haleem. She did not respond at all and left me on the phone. I hung up and called back twice - conveniently the line was busy. Clearly this place is a classic ignorant business that has no sense of customer service. They did not want to keep my business by addressing my concern and refunding. I will never go back and never recommend buying anything from Desi Bazaar.

I had a purchase less than $10 and the employee kindly waived the extra fee. In general nice and amiable staff. My family has been shopping here for years.

Don't waste your money here, unless you want to spend $.50 to $1 per item more. Also, the samosa shown below was a couple days old as you can see from the stuffing turning black, foul smell, and bad after taste.I just purchased it today. Customer service was horrible. I'm definitely not going back and taking my money elsewhere.

Has some of the best beef samosas in the area. Better than restaurants. Prices are reasonable to me. Nice selection and variety. It's a grocery store but sells some fried fast food items.

Love this place! They have a lot of Indian fast food and junk food. They might be a bit overpriced but everything is organized very well. You even get novelty stuff like some rare Indian-made shaving creams and soaps. They have a vast pickle collection. If I crave Indian junk food, this is the place to be.

Everything is overpriced and they will always cheat you out for couple more dollars when checking out. This happened to me few times

I have been going to this store for couple of years. It's such a wonderful customer service that they will ask you for your lust of grocery.very pleasant polite and attentive. Though it's little away from my house but it's worth to shop.the prices are very reasonable compared to other Indian especially SHEETAL grocery where customer service is very bad. I would recommend desi Bazaar for shopping

Good collection. But everything over priced. Even the item with sale sticker are much expensive than regular sale price at other indian stores

Poor customer service, overpriced, watch out for expired items. Did notify the owner once but he wouldn't fix and rather give excuses .

Worst customer service. The guy at the checkout cashier has major attitude issues. Any business runs due to its customers, this place apparently does not like customers. Consider yourself warned and shop elsewhere.

I'm sad to say after contacting Desi about my order of 25 potato samosa's starting to turn and taste funny within an hour of bringing them home, no one wanted to talk about it or fix the situation. Me and my family will never be going back here ever again. To the owners of Desi: you do realize you almost gave me and my family food poisoning and you all don't even seem to care that you did.

Love this store. Has almost everything we need (hence 4 stars instead of 5). They have most of the dry products we buy like chai and atta but not a very good selection of veggies. Samosas are awesome from this place & on the weekends you can usually find puffs, dabeli and dhokla. We shop here weekly. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Love this place!!!! Amazing chaat corner with an amazing smile from the lovely owner! Highly recommend it! The place is super clean and the selection is gigantic! My one stop shop for all desi grocery and of course the chaat and snacks!

WORST customer service ever! The manager refused to cooperate or seek solution to provide good customer service. Been their customer for a long time and now the have just lost a customer!
