We recently dined in at Desi Bites and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered Chicken 555, which clearly states on the menu that it comes with rice. However, they served us a very small portion of chicken with no rice. When I asked the lady at the front desk about the missing rice, she casually asked, “Oh, you want rice with that?”—as if it was optional. If I’m paying full price for the dish, I expect to receive what’s listed on the menu without having to ask for it.
We also ordered the Goat Dum Biryani, which cost $18, and the portion was shockingly small for the price. When I brought this up, the lady who served us just smiled and said “Sorry,” without any effort to fix the issue.
When this restaurant first opened, their portion sizes were fair, and prices were reasonable. Now, it feels like they’re cutting corners and overcharging customers, essentially scamming people with tiny servings and inflated prices. We ended up paying $50 in total, and it felt like a complete waste of money and time.
We won’t be returning and I definitely don’t recommend this place to others.
