Desi Pizza Kitchen - Review - Queen Anne - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If having momos, gyros, subs, burgers, pizza, and a chocolate chip pizookie sounds like the potluck of your dreams, welcome to Desi Pizza Kitchen in Queen Anne. This jack-of-all-trades counter is serving all of that and more—though they specialize in Indian-inspired pizzas with toppings like butter chicken and paneer. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

We had such a wonderful experience at Desi Pizza Kitchen! The pizza was absolutely yummy 😋full of bold Desi flavors and perfectly cooked. The crust was just right, and the toppings were generous and delicious. On top of that, the service was excellent — super friendly, quick, and attentive. We truly enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended

Tried this Indian pizza place for the first time and really liked it! The chicken tandoori pizza was full of flavor—spicy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying, I loved the chicken tandoori more than the achari chicken pizza. I also loved that the crust wasn’t too thin or overly crusty—just the right amount of softness with a little crunch. Lots of bold Indian flavors in every bite. Definitely coming back to try more!

A bit longer than we expected to get our Daisy pizza, but it was worth the wait. Delicious. Very nice crust, just right… Not crispy not too soft. Something different now your usual Italian pizza… We got the butter chicken pizza, I recommended.

I walked into Desi Pizza Kitchen not knowing what to expect. My friends and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to try a pizza place that we’ve never been to before. We were very pleasantly surprised! Desi Pizza Kitchen isn’t a very big restaurant. There’s a counter to order at and just 4 or 5 small tables to sit at. Luckily, it wasn’t very busy on a Thursday night, and most of the folks who stopped in ordered takeout so we had a nice quiet place to sit and enjoy our food. We ordered a variety of items off the menu to try: 1) Chili Chicken Momos — these were chicken dumplings in a spicy chili sauce 🥵. So delicious—highly recommend. 2) French fries (always gotta try the fries!)—for $4.99, these were an incredible value. They were crispy and delicious (the seasoning was great—reminded me a bit of Red Robin?) and were a very large helping. Will definitely go back to try their chicken tenders and fries combo.. for some reason I just have to try chicken tenders at some point at every restaurant I go to if they’re on the menu. 3) Old Man Nick salad—this was pretty much a Greek salad. Nothing to really write home about, but the ingredients were very fresh and it was pretty size-able for just $9.99. Shareable b/t 4 people alone but 6 with the amount of food we ordered. 4) Butter Chicken wings—these wings were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I thought they could’ve been spicier (they weren’t spicy at all), but maybe it was my fault for ordering just the ‘medium’ spice level. 5) Butter Chicken pizza XL—I’ve never had butter chicken pizza before, and after this experience I don’t think it’ll be my last time. The pizza had a good amount of chicken on it. W. 6) “The Bay” pizza XL—this 16”pizza had pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, black olives, and mushrooms. This is an S-Tier combo for protein lovers like me so definitely had to order it. If there weren’t any ladies in the group, I probably would have rolled this up like a burrito and ate it in one sitting all by myself 😂 The staff were very friendly. The bill came out to just over $100 that we split b/t 6 people. Overall, I was impressed with the food at Desi Pizza Kitchen and would definitely recommend trying. I’m more of a thin-crust pizza guy (unless it’s Chicago deep dish), but I would eat this pizza again.

This local pizzeria is a new staple in our family! Absolutely recommend to anyone who loves Indian food and pizza. 11/10! First ordered French fries (perfectly seasoned + textured) and chili momos (very sambal oelek-y, dumpling was juicy and fresh). Got surprisingly full with the starters but I HAD to throw down on the butter chicken pizza because it was so beautifully aromatic, delicious, balanced ~ everything you'd want it to be. I'm not usually someone who finishes pizza crust but ate all mine up because it had a right combo of crispiness and chewiness. It was also just so tasty! Nice spot for casual dining. You can find free street parking nearby in residential areas (maybe a 2 min walk away). The workers are really nice too! Loved the Indian/PNW patterned walls. Excited to come back!

Ordered for takeout, so dining in may be a different experience. The Butter Chicken pizza is worth the hype! By far my favorite item on the menu. The butter chicken wings were also good. Fries were soggy and not much to write home about. Momo was ok, and I’m pretty easy to please with momo. The sauce was just too overwhelming and the noodle was a little too thick.

I’m still sitting in the restaurant as I write this review, I can’t wait till I get home to post this. If you love Indian food, if you love pizza, Desi Pizza Kitchen is a MUST. Chili Momos (chicken) - doughy, soft, thick and sauced up. These dumplings are full of flavor, you can’t go wrong. Fries (regular) - I’m a ketchup fiend. I have to have my fries with ketchup. No ketchup, no fries. The fries here? I devoured without a drop of ketchup in sight. It’s a beautiful mix of crispy, pillowy goodness with perfectly balanced seasoning of salt and other spices. Chicken Wings (Hot) - Meaty, wet and sauced up. These went down too easy. Butter Chicken Pizza (Medium Spice) - I’ve had Indian pizza before and it’s been good. But my oh my does this pizza blow anything like it out of the water. The flavor is POPPING, perfectly rationed chicken and beautifully spread sauce. The crust is phenomenal, it’s airy with just the right amount of thickness. 10/10. My wife and I agreed that we have to come back here and try more things on the menu.

This place serves the BEST pizza I’ve had in Seattle. It sometimes takes a little longer than other places, but it’s been more than worth it every time, and the prices are super reasonable. Staff are always friendly too. We especially enjoy the butter chicken pizza (pictured). It’s so good I just randomly think about it sometimes. And I’m not generally into pizza, which sounds silly, but this place has got their recipe DOWN.

Yelp
Not sure if this is the same place i used to get my burgers. Looks and feels different, but the burgers are still the same.... try their food, for the price, it will put a smile on your face. My Hawaiian styled burger was so juicy and saucy. Also the patty was a nice thickness and cooked like I like it. Not one of those thick burgers you get a fancy restaraunts, but thicker than fast food. A decent sized burger that was too messy and juicy to get a good photo of. The service isn't great, but there's pretty much always someone at the register ready to take your order. They don't really say much to you, even when your ordering. Their service for sure could be better. They have a water jug at the front counter, maybe offer guests water while they are dining in or waiting on orders. When you enter you will notice how bright and clean everything is inside. They even have themed decor that they took as far as updating the table tops with a design. Nothing fancy like toulouse, but for a small pizza burger shop, I'm impressed. I recommend trying this burger spot for sure. I'll be back, again and again....

Yelp
Been looking to try this new pizza place since I love Indian food. The butter chicken pizza was piled HIGH with toppings! The sauce had a tomatoey, slightly creamy flavor and came loaded with cheese, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, ginger, and cilantro. I got an extra-large for $26, and for the amount of food you get, it was totally worth it. Flavor-wise, it was good but not life-changing. I feel like it could use more ginger or distinctive seasoning, the flavors kind of melted together instead of standing out. The garlic sauce on the side though is BOMB!!! Made the flavor much better. You can pick mild, medium, or hot. I went with hot, but it could have been spicier. We waited about 25 minutes. There's lots of self-seating space but most people seem to be doing takeout. The lady at the counter was super nice. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other menu items sometime!

Yelp
High hopes Not at par with other indian pizza places. I had better indian pizzas and much better momos at other places in and around Seattle. Service was fine and there is not much to say about ambiance since its a small shop with about 6-8 tables (incl countertops) only. Here is my overall ratings in food that we ordered: Shahi Paneer Pizza (their own recommendation m) - 2.5/5 ( it was just ok. I dont know what dough they use, but it was a bit hard and not appetizing the next day) Butter veg momos - 2/5 ( just ok. Very bland taste) Chili Veg Momos - 3/5 (better than butter ones, but you can have better ones at other indian places) Another thing is the cost. They give just 6 pieces of momos for $10 (i.e $1.67 a piece) and $22 for a medium size pizza. It is definitely on the expensive side (not the most expensive). Overall its 2.5/5 rating for me.

Yelp
I was in the mood for some Indian fusion pizza and decided to try this new spot. I ordered the tandoori chicken pizza to go, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The pizza was pricey and tasted stale, which left me disappointed. Also there was barely any cheese in the pizza. Way overpriced for what I got. I'm unsure if I'll be returning.

Yelp
Full of flavor and taste! We ordered the butter chicken pizza (medium spice) and the cheesy pesto bread. Both were sensational! The butter chicken pizza had a nice spice that paired great with a side of ranch on the side. The pesto cheese bread exceeded my expectations, the baguette style is next level! The service was quick and friendly. The ambience of the inside is okay it feels a little rushed but I assume most of their orders are take out due to the generous portions. Will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Despite the overly enthusiastic shill-like review, Desi Pizza was just okay. They offer some unique items like the butter chicken momos--think Indian dumplings--which were interesting (see photo). The gyro, however, was small and not particularly memorable. The pizza was a good size, but the crust felt generic; one of my dining companions even compared it to a Boboli. A notable issue was the excessive saltiness in both the momos and the pizza--I found myself reaching for water all night. On the bright side, the staff were friendly, and I enjoyed the decor. It's always nice to have a new and different dining option in Queen Anne, even if it doesn't suit everyone's taste.

Yelp
We are happy to see an Indian joint opened on Queen Anne! As soon as we saw it we thought of giving it a shot. We ordered the Chicken Tandoori Pizza with garlic dip and it was delicious. Amazing service, friendly staff.

Yelp
The pizza here is really good! It's definitely a little pricey, but the quality of the food is amazing. I'll definitely be back. Parking around here can be a little difficult, and it's a small place, but it's worth it!

Yelp
Loved the Achari Chicken and Chili Chicken Pizzas. First time we tried Desi Pizza it was okay. This second, was great. If you tried it early on, come back and try it again!

Annie S.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious! Quality is similar to the prior place that was here that I loved - Elliot Bay Pizza. The interior has had a nice remodel and looks great. I tried The Bay and Well Dressed pizzas, both are great classics. Looking forward to trying the more adventurous Indian style pizzas as well.

Yelp
The food is amazing!!! A great fusion place that really satisfies and hits a lot of flavor profiles.

Yelp
So flavorful! I had the chili chicken pizza which had the perfect balance of spicy and sweetness! We will come back to have the other options.
