"Yet another Houston-born restaurant has worked its way north to The Woodlands. The dessert shop, which is a short walk from the Waterway, offers a true showcase of award-winning pastry chef Sara Brooks’ versatility and vision for sweets. Find cakes and cookies of all kinds, including brownie-and-cookie hybrids, red velvet cookies dunked in white chocolate, and a multi-layered mousse, plus coffee drinks for a pick-me-up. Best of all, this dessert shop stays open relatively late (until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 p.m. every other day) meaning you can stop and stay awhile for dessert after dinner." - Laura L. Green, Brittany Britto Garley

"The name speaks for itself. Since 1995, Dessert Gallery has solidified a reputation for owner Sara Brook’s long list of expertly made sweet concoctions. Whether your weakness is cookies, cakes, brownies, or pies, you’re bound to find something that completely entrances your taste buds. Dine in at the cafe with a coffee drink, take your dessert to go, or order ahead for larger portions. DG’s new location in the Woodlands means there’s more than one place to secure the goods." - Brittany Britto Garley, Megha McSwain

I had been hyping myself forever on Mom's Chocolate Cake and finally bought a whole one for my birthday. It was the biggest disappointment of the day. The frosting was overly sweet and gritty because it was oversaturated with sugar. The only reason I am giving it an extra star was because the cake was decent with good texture, but nothing to write home about. Also the parking situation is so bad, it took me driving around the block 3 times before being able to snag a spot.

Got a lemon blueberry cake for my daughter’s 8th birthday party, per her request. It was beautiful, delivered on time and tasted amazing. Everyone that had some said it was delicious!

Highly recommend! Dessert Heaven— so many delicious options to choose from. The customer service was wonderful and the dessert even better than we could have hoped for! We tried two desserts— key lime pie and strawberry crunch cake. Pie had excellent flavor and consistency, the cake was moist and and the icing was the perfect complement. We didn’t have any ice cream, but I did learn that they serve Amy’s Ice Cream if that’s what you’re going for. Also was pretty nice that they served the desserts in to-go containers, because the portions were very generous.

I got the strawberry dream cake. It was good, not great. Frankly, I felt guilty about wasting the calories on an ordinary cake. If you want a decent dessert, by all means enjoy what they have to offer. But I did not think it was extraordinary.

I've only been here twice, but the desserts are large, high quality and fantastic! Very rich! Their milkshakes are made with premium Mexican Vanilla and Godiva Chocolate--or at least, they taste like it. It does take them a while to make the milkshakes, but service is great. They have a wide selection to satiate your sweet tooth; cookies, brownies, brownie-adjacent things, sundaes, cake slices, mousse cakes, parfaits, milkshakes, and probably a few other things I forgot to mention. There's some seating inside, and a few more tables outside, for those who want to eat there; seating is good enough for quickly eating a slice, but not really ideal for sitting long enough to chat over cake. That's not a bad thing, just the way it is: I would still highly recommend getting your desserts here!

Very good vegan dessert options! Mom’s chocolate cake was so delicious omg.🤤 The brownie and sammy I ordered were also good but Mom’s chocolate cake literally took the cake and was truly top tier with taste, texture & presentation. I definitely recommend Dessert Gallery Bakery & Cafe and will be back for more deliciousness! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super cute new-to-the-woodlands dessert shop. We’ve been to the one downtown a while ago. Lots of selection. The cake slices are huge, if you want a smaller dessert they have a good selection too. Seating is a bit tight, but people are in and out quickly, so didn’t seem to be an issue. We liked everything we got. The pecan pie, cherry cheesecake, Carmelita, and strawberry cake.

Deserts are really good if you like sweets, in my opinion, prices are a little high, $13-$15 average per person, but it's The Woodlands......staff are not very friendly, we arrived 15 minutes before closing and they just wanted for my wife and I to order so they can leave on time....we asked them questions about the menu and they were not so happy. Customer Service must be a priority not matter the time. But still is recommended.
