"As part of the Deste Foundation (established in 1983 by art collector Dakis Joannou, with “deste” meaning “look” in Greek), this project occupies an old slaughterhouse and, since 2009, hosts site-specific solo and group exhibitions each summer season (June through October); previous installations have brought Jeff Koons, Urs Fischer, and Kara Walker to the island." - Monica Mendal
