"Set back slightly from the port, this restaurant boasts stunning views from its terrace which is highly recommended in fine weather. The culinary focus here is on modern dishes with an interesting choice of meat and fish options. Tea and kombucha offer an alternative to wine, while the home-produced gin is definitely worth sampling." - Michelin Inspector

I had high expectations for Deste, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The service was inattentive and disorganized from the start. One of the most frustrating parts was the poorly installed bag hangers under the table – every single purse at our table fell to the floor multiple times, and mine was actually damaged as a result. To make matters worse, the wine was served warm, which is simply unacceptable, especially at a restaurant that presents itself as high-end. There was no apology or attempt to remedy the situation. Overall, Deste failed on both service and basic hospitality. Would not return, and would not recommend.

What a lovely location! Once you find it! Important to follow the street name and then, if walking toward the water, head right up a set of stairs and though the walkway you'll find it. Such a picturesque spot for an aperol spritz or bottle of wine. It's a bit out of the way to only go for a drink, and the place lacks a full bar. I would highly recommend they consider putting one in! The overall presentation is wonderful, and aiming to be very high end. Note you pay €15 per person just to sit and dine. All dishes are €40+, and some dishes, like the handmade tagliatelle with truffles, hazelnut oil, and red shrimp are delicious. This is not a place for vegetarians or non fish eaters. Of the two veg dishes one was not available and the other was not worth €50. As a vegetarian, I left hungry. Service and ambiance are the winning points. Staff speak Little English, but no matter, it makes each interaction and recommendation more interesting!

One of our best meals in Sardinia! It took us a while to find this place, it’s more under the radar and so many restaurants that got good reviews and were on recommended online ended up being terrible. This was such a gem - fantastic food, passionate service and they gave a lot of little extras like a glass of prosecco to start, some amuse bouche and chocolates that really helped make the meal special. Would 100% recommend!

Fine dining, exceptional experience. Dinner here tonight was one of the highlights of our holiday. The food and presentation was outstanding. My husband is still talking about the tiramisu. The team where simply phenomenal. The anticipated our needs before we even knew them ourselves. The attention to detail was incredible and we didn’t have to ask a thing of them, as everything was already taken care of. The views were beautiful- perfect for a romantic night or dinner with friends. Be sure to try the gin and tonic - another favourite of my husbands!

My wife and I found this absolute gem during our weekend getaway to Sardinia. We could not have been happier with our experience. First, it should be mentioned the restaurant had only been open for 25 days and they are already running to perfection. Fabio (the owner) has created a beautiful space to take advantage of the breathtaking views. Small and intimate describes the space that will seat only 20. The small size allowed for top notch service. We started with exceptional cocktails; my wife had the cucumber gin spritz, and I had the Kentucky Mule. Both were delicious and refreshing and served in traditional bar ware. (The copper mug and straw for the mule added to the deliciousness!) To accompany the drinks, the restaurant offered an absolutely delicious apertivo of fresh seafood. This experience alone was worth the trip, and then it just got better with dinner. It should be noted that the menu changes with the seasons and the availability of seafood. Everything we had was pitch perfect and paired perfectly with the Sardinian white wine that we had. (Speaking of wine, make sure to ask about the rare finds that are not on the wine list.) At the end of the evening, we were able to meet the chef who Fabio lured away from Milan. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this great restaurant.

We had one week holiday in Sardinia and went out every night to different restaurants. Out of all, this one ranked lowest. Food is ok-ish but overpriced and sevice is below expectation considering price you pay. The restaurants does not have their own toilet and you need to use the communal one which is - quite frankly -horrible. Will not be returning to this one.

One of the greatest restaurants in sardinia! Amazing view, outstanding food. Even if it s quite expensive, it really worth a try, you really feel like you own one of the yachts you see in the harbour

We happened upon Deste by chance, but really glad that we did. We were served a glass of bubbles, an array of seafood delicacies and tasters as an offering from the restaurant, which was an unexpected but great start. The menu was reflective of a Michelin starred restaurant, very inventive and creative, the only downside was there were no vegetarian or vegan options. We were also not offered a drinks or wine menu. That said, the food was outstanding, we had the Roger and the lamb buttons for mains. The Roger won in terms of flavour hands down. What a dish! We finished our meal with a chocolate dessert made from 5 types of South America's finest chocolate/ cacao and it was delicious! To round it off we asked for a shot of limoncello, which we discovered was made by one of the waiting staff and was probably one of the best Limoncello we have sampled anywhere recently! Unfortunately we had to sit outside when it was cold due to a lack of seating indoors, and no blankets were provided even though we asked. This is why we give it a 4 star instead of a 5. Thank you team Deste for a memorable experience overall. Definitely recommend it, but not for vegans or vegetarians or when it's not warm!
