Ax-Throwing Bars, Explained | Eater

"A large, restaurant-forward venue that pairs a dozen ax-throwing lanes with roughly 1,000 board games and a full-service restaurant. Staff supervise every lane and enforce safety measures (including a one-drink-per-hour limit in the upstairs throwing area), and the operators emphasize that the activity can be made as safe as darts or bowling; the facility allows 14-year-olds to participate with an adult but otherwise enforces an 18+ policy." - Monica Burton

We were the group ( Cop Fleet Forum) that rented the facility on 7-19-23. I had a blast! Great service from the staff, great food & fun was had by all. I would definitely recommend stopping by one of the locations to have fun & unwind. Thanks for the memories for my first trip to Detroit and axe throwing.

This place was ssssoooo fun. They have axe coaches at each space. This space only has a taco stand for food. But it it's a food truck inside for the tacos. The bar has a good selection. Pinball other games for while you wait your turn to throw axes or after your group is done

Fun spot to have a gathering and great food! Axe throwing tournament was run very well and we enjoyed the event very much! The outdoor area was super nice and had plenty of activities to do or just chill out areas too!

Had such a great time at this establishment. Clean, the staff was super friendly, food was good and fresh. Loved that they have a food truck within the establishment. Ordered the nachos, tacos, and churro. A spacious place. Drinks were mediocre but the experience was one of a kind. Our axe coach was friendly and patient. I also enjoyed they had a game board space to hang out, play games and chill or eat/drink.

Google
Great place to have some fun with a group of friends, but it has some caveats. It is very important to expect that if your group is smaller than 8 you will end up in the lane with ppl that you do not know. I was lucky enough that the other ppl I ended up with were very nice, but I'm just saying that it can go very wrong. I dont think there is a way to just rent out a full lane for a date or a small group of 4.

Yelp
Place is nice, stopped in to get some tacos and check out the place. Inside was nice, nice axe throwing area and a great social area between the interior board game area and outdoor game area with fire pit areas. Ordered some tacos and the cook has a black shirt on with tons of lint and dog hair on it. Blows my mind that he comes into work like this and management and co-workers are totally cool with cooking food with a shirt full of dog hair. Tacos came out pretty quick, not a lot of flavor, guacamole had way too much lime in the mix. Found a couple pieces of what look like dog hair in the tacos. Great! Won't be back.

Yelp
I had so much fun at Detroit Axe Corktown! The new spot is awesome! It has Axe Throwing, board games, and an indoor taco truck! I've been twice, once with friends and ones for an event, and both times I had a great experience! If you are looking for something fun to do in Corktown I highly recommend stopping by! They also have a great outdoor area that I would love to try out this spring!

Yelp
I had no idea this place existed but so glad we found it. Had family from out of town and thought we would try this. Our instructor Max was awesome and patient. It took awhile before I got the hang of it, but boy once I did, I had a ball. The drinks and food was amazing. Wish we had stayed for trivia night but had reservations for another spot that ended up being not such a great experience. But will definitely be back. I think this would be a great company outing if you need team building activities. They have tons of free games as well. Please check this out
