Great venue, amazing staff. Mixed drinks are good too. No food served here but you can take food in. The tournaments were always great too- met a lot of great people.

I really enjoyed coming to this location. It's a shame that it's permanently closed now, as several have closed in the past year. It seems like the only place left around here is Total Axe on Groesbeck.

We were a walk in after spotting this place while having dinner across the way. They accommodated us; shenanigans and all 🤗 Our axemaster Jemmi was Suuuper patient and totally helped make it fun. The bartender/hostess was all by herself and very busy but kept a smile on and was really welcoming to our party. Definitely worth checking out!

Fun location inside of partridge creek mall. Right around the corner from mjr and across from bar louies. They don't serve food but do allow you to bring food in. Alcohol options are solid and have a lot of different choices. Price wise was around $40 a person for 1-2 hours. Took a while to learn the rules and practice but it was still fun.

September 2023 - we came here as a big group to celebrate a friend's birthday. First off we had a blast and many of us wanted to come back. We had a great time. Come as a group or a couple. You have to fill out a waiver. You will get instructions on how to throw. We had a wonderful instructor who used to be a hospice nurse. As a group we played it twice before moving on to a tournament. They have bathrooms and you can order drinks. Someone from the group did order food to be delivered. Overall, it's a great place and I would recommend anyone to go and give it a try.

Fun place! We took our 85 years young Aunt to go Ax throwing for her Birthday. She loved it, we had a blast. There is definitely a technique to throwing however they provide you with an Ax Master to help you the entire time. We will be back.

This place was so fun! They do have alcohol. They DON'T serve any food, FYI but do let you bring in food and Bar Louie is right across the hall from them. We had a bunch of friends and had a blast for a few hours. Then we went to play some board games in their board game nook which is really well-stocked! A ton of games there! You could come here and do board game night without throwing axes if you wanted to. It's definitely pricey at $40/person but that may just be the going rate for an axe throwing place.

My axe coach was a 2x champion with the IATF, the International Axe Throwing Federation. We had a great time throwing and I found out he also works a side job as a clown for birthday parties! He was very knowledgeable and I would come here again!

Yelp
This was my first time at this location. I've been wanting to try axe throwing for quite some time. I really had a great time. Let's just say I'm not the best at darts, but the Axe I'm right on target! Lol If you're looking for something to do this is a great for a group or a fun date night activity. Make it an evening at Partridge Creek...there are plenty of spots to eat all in one location.

Yelp
Had a great time getting together with my sisters of The Black Girl Social Club, Detroit Chapter at Detroit Axe-Partridge Creek location. I had never gone axe throwing before and now want to go back already! The staff were very helpful and gave us great tips! They had good drinks, and we were able to grab food from a local restaurant and bring it in to eat.

Yelp
My husband and I have been wanting to come here for a while now. I an so happy we finally planned to come in. We did walk in, but it was earlier in the day so it wasn't too busy. We walked in around 2:15, they said to come at 2:45 for our appointment. I think it is a better ides to make a reservation because they have a coach with you the entire time. We walked around the mall and sat at the bar for a moment. They do have pop or alcohol at the bar. We played two different types of games. The first game we hit the target a few times, and the person with the most points one that rounf. Then you switch sides and do it again. There are 3 rounds, majority wins. The second game is the first person to get exactly 61, if you go over you lose 10 points. We then played the first game again because we had some time left to play. Our coach was super helpful the whole game. She gave us tips and techniques throughout. You can come here if you are 14-15 with an adult, 16 and up does nor require one. The price is $20 an hour or $15 for half an hour. This was so much fun and we will be coming back some day!

Yelp
So much fun! Detroit Axe-Partridge Creek is the place where a man can be a man. Five fellow dads and I went here on Saturday evening around 5:30 PM and we had a blast. Our host was great-he explained the rules and how the game is played. He gave us tips and made sure we stayed safe. They don't have a kitchen, so they let you bring food with you. We brought pizza and bought some of their beers. It was just an all around great night. I tipped our host five bucks because he did an excellent job. We'll be back for sure. The way you play is they do a round robin where everyone versus each other at least once and then the tournament gets decided based on games won and points scored. The bullseye is worth five points, red circle is worth three, blue circle is worth one, and you can say, "I'm going clutch," on your last throw. If you hit clutch then you get seven points. But, you can only hit that on your last throw. The round robin has you play your opponent three times and you get five throws per time. You switch sides for each time you play each other. You throw hatchets with one hand during regular gameplay and if there is a tie then you throw an axe with two hands. On a side note, one of the guys working at Detroit Axe-Patridge Creek is ranked as the number two axe thrower in the world. He had some interesting stories and plenty of great tips. In addition, one of our fellow dads scored a bullseye on all five throws during a round. That was a score of 25 points, so they gave him a free t-shirt.

Yelp
Had my husbands 40 th bday here. Owner was very accommodating as to answering all my questions . He recommended the Ferndale location due to having food there which was nice so we didn't have to hit another spot before or after ax throwing. The guys who explain the ax throwing did a great job on explaining and helping me since I suck. Hubby did amazing and won competing against the others. Our crowd was 12-15 ppl. Lots of fun ! Book ur next adult night. Worth it.

Yelp
We went to Detroit Axe yesterday on a whim. We had Christopher help us as our axe-master. He was super detailed with his instructions and took everyone's safety very serious. He made it very fun and we will definitely be back!!

Yelp
A total blast! OMG, I've read about axe throwing but never did it before. I will definitely be coming back. The workers did a great job of teaching me how to throw and make sure we did it safely. I was impressed with how nice everyone was. Cool place for sure.
