Detroit’s Best Sports Bars to Watch March Madness and the Tigers

"The practice field for Detroit City Football Club as well as scores of kids’, teens’ and adults’ soccer leagues, the Detroit City Clubhouse is a unique weekdays-only spot to watch big sporting events, especially U.S. and international soccer. The Clubhouse hosts watch parties for professional DCFC games, too. During game events, the kitchen serves up fries, burgers, hand pies, and the occasional early brunch. Check the Facebook or Instagram pages for watch party events." - Serena Maria Daniels

It is a nice place to relax and watch live soccer/football on Tuesdays. Nice comfortable sittings. The Bar/Restaurant serves food, tap beer, and affordable different drinks.

Beautiful bar. Detroit City has once again outdone itself. Fantastic drinks, delicious food and wonderful environment. Cant wait to come back and see this place full before a match or during European soccer matches. Highly recommend trying the English Beef Pie (or any pie honestly) and the Middle Finger Cocktail featuring City Gold moonshine. Absolutely fantastic and will for sure be returning. #DCTID

In house bar and grill at the FIELD HOUSE of DCFC. I am there doing work and to watch my son in his HIGHSCHOOL SCRIMMAGE.... But needless to say SAM, She was the only next to the cook that would help me in my needs while sitting in the bar grill area. Our sport of Soccer already has enough racism and the lack of cultural acceptance. ANYWAY SAM she was great in helping me place a order and to get the things I needed while there at the fieldhouse. The other two ladies seem to have a very stand offish attitude when I asked them any thing regarding WIFI regarding the TV's during my stay. SAM on the other she asked if I needed anything she made sure my daughter and myself was aware of where to pick up our food and check on us while we were there. BUT BEOFER THEN I stood at the bar on both ends and neither of the lady's there asked me if I needed anything or if I want to place a order. These were to the ladies of Height and stature with glasses. I would have tipped but I saw that they share the tip jars and did not want the other two getting any tip due to their standoff personality and lack of service. SAM I will be bringing a personal card next time to place in your hand.

I've been here multiple times. Every Saturday morning my preschooler gas soccer, so we stop by for a snack after and to watch the older kids play soccer on the other field. It is also a great place to grab a drink in the evening. They have some great beers on tap and a good selection of drinks. One of my favourite hangout spots.

I usually love this place. Amazing environment, great staff and delicious food. However, I had one of the worst bar experiences of my life on 11/29 due to the bartender. I’ve never met a ruder person. It was clear that she made multiple guests uncomfortable because of her attitude. I’m seriously reconsidering coming back. And if I do come back it will definitely not be on the days she is working. Just terrible.

Good beer selection, unique pies and other foods to snack on. Our party got the vegan pie, wings, Irish nachos, and salad and it was all good. There wasn’t any soccer happening on either pitch when we were there but the TVs were tuned into matches from around the world. Staff was very friendly, I’ll be back for sure!

Yelp
Great spot that's made its way back to life. I really enjoyed my time at the Clubhouse, it has a nice long bar and plenty of tables and at both ends you can sit and look down on the indoor fields, just cool. Drink a beer, eat a pie and hang out, this is the place to check out if you wanna play, watch, drink or eat. Yeah I think it's still a work in progress but it's very cool and the staff is very friendly and I'm sure would love to have you. Theirs gonna be some good times at the Clubhouse. Come out and ck it out and yes get a pie a beer and enjoy.

Yelp
The Detroit City Clubhouse is located inside the new Detroit City Fieldhouse (an indoor sports facility run by Detroit's football club, Detroit City FC). To get to the Clubhouse, you enter the Fieldhouse on the right side, and head upstairs. The Clubhouse is beautiful. Even if you're not a fan of soccer, you'll enjoy the atmosphere of the space. Rich wood, smooth leather, plenty of seating, a few TVs to watch various sports, a fun drink menu with reasonable prices and windows on either side of the bar with views of the indoor fields below. It's a brand new bar and they're still working out kinks, so I try to be cognizant of that. The bartenders are still being trained and brought up to speed, so sometimes they don't have the answer to my questions regarding the menu and cocktails, or the drink sizes are inconsistent. I'd be bummed if this continues a few months down the line. I've not ordered any food but the menu looks solid. My friend raved about the chicken wings. I'd love to see some bar food like cheese sticks or mini tacos, though. Sometimes you just want something greasy to absorb the booze. This is a comfortable place with seating for two up to twenty. It's surprisingly kid-friendly as well. Bring a group or just come solo and check it out. Enjoy free parking, a welcoming atmosphere and tons of soccer memorabilia on the walls throughout.

Yelp
The long-awaited (well not that long) Detroit City Fieldhouse - home to the Clubhouse - is up and in full swing! The Clubhouse is THE spot for DCFC supporters and rec league players alike. Elevated and overlooking both fields, the Clubhouse is a great place to hang out, whether it's just for kicks, before or after your bar league game, or to catch an international match on the TV. Seating is well spread out and accommodates large groups or singles/couples equally. The bar rail seats a respectable ten-ish people, and there's also a lot of barstool seating along the glass walls facing each field. And to top it off, they even have a couple fancy tufted leather couches. Real class. Drink lineup is not extensive, but it certainly does the job. I do love their bucket options! Grab a bucket of beverages in any one of their varieties, including dad beer, Mexican, craft, or bubbly (yes, bubbly!!) - very cool options. Otherwise, they have four taps and at least a selection or two of each spirit. A handful of wine bottles round out their menu nicely. Prices aren't dirt cheap but honestly pretty reasonable considering the type of venue and atmosphere. Service has not been a high point, but I think they're still finding their groove. And to be fair, they've been pretty busy every time I've been in. Given that all my DCFC-loving friends are here 2-3 times a week, I don't see myself NOT being here regularly.

Yelp
I took my family here for lunch this weekend and had a great time. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and the restaurant was clean and very homey. We couldn't decide on which pie (think light, flaky, pasties) to order, so we got one of each and shared. Every single one was really delicious. The beef and cheese/onion were my favorites, while my wife really liked the chorizo and vegan pies. It was really neat to be able to eat some great food and drinks, all while watching soccer being played on the fields below and college football and world soccer on the TV's in the restaurant. It was a great experience, we will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Top spot for groups and great for families. Cheap beer and good cheap food. Cheddar and onion pie is A+. Order at the bar, couches, lots of TVs. Super casual for a quick weeknight.

Yelp
This clubhouse is beautiful. The building lives and breathes Detroit City Football Club. The food and the drinks, everything is perfect. The traditional meat and vegetarian, even vegan pies are amazing. The salads are great too. Varied but delicious beer and cider selection. Surrounded by tvs playing current or throw back soccer matches, you'll be right at home if you love soccer. I can't get enough of this place, it's so welcoming and warm and it's only just started. Great place for lunch or dinner, by yourself or with a group of friends, as it's a large area with plenty of seating. Carryout available makes it perfect for a quick lunch stop. I'll definitely add this to my list of places to hangout. And everything isn't crazy Detroit prices. Cheap drinks, very well priced food, what could be better?

Yelp
If you are a football fanatic like I am you shouldn't be anywhere else. Best place in Detroit to watch, talk, and play soccer. Food and beer is delicious. Everyone here is friendly and approachable.

Yelp
This place is amazing. They have great food, great bartender service, and it's very friendly overall. They have every soccer game available on tv and sometimes even show some good classics. Besides that, there are games going on all the time and it's fun to watch. Can't stress how proud I am of this place and what it has become!

Yelp
Nothing else like it. Great food. Great views. Have a beer while your kids practice. Who could ask for anything more?

Yelp
This place is not just soccer- if you're looking for a great casual spot for drinks and food, look no further. Unlike most "sports bars" the food here is really high quality. The small food plates are gorgeous and I have seen 3 year olds devour the buttery, gooey hand pies. This will be a go-to spot, esp with kids who love watching the games and have a lot of space to run around the clubhouse.

Yelp
I really enjoy it at the City Clubhouse. It's a very laid back environment with decent prices and good food and drinks. If you enjoy soccer, this is the spot for you in Detroit. I am a big supporter of Detroit City FC and what they are doing to support the city of Detroit through the sport of soccer. This is truly a community-lead and community-friendly place. The clubhouse is only a small piece of it all.
