Detroit Eatery Midtown

This place has amazing food and we had to go out of our way to come again! I wish I took photos because it was so good, but by the time I got the food it smelled so good I couldn’t hold back. Their curries are phenomenal but are also SPICY. They don’t do spice levels here, but that’s okay because the flavors are so good it’s not overpowering. They also have a perfect mango lassi to top off the meal. Worth going out of your way to get a great meal.

I ordered the Butter Chicken Masala and it was delicious!! Tender chicken, spicey red sauce and aromatic basmati rice!! So good that I went back today and ordered the NY Style Lamb & Chicken Mixed Rice Platter today!! 😋😋 It was different but delicious!! My new go to restaurant!!

Their butter chicken was always a little spicy so I asked for no spice and and they gave me the spiciest thing that I’ve ever eaten in my life it was disgusting and separated all oil was on top of it and I couldn’t even eat it.

Amazing food. Eveyrthing is great quality. Customer service is exceptional. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.

Really fresh, especially the green peppers. They've improved alot in the last few years. If you order online it's 25% off which balances the higher price. You get alot of food, it's usually 2-3 meals for me. Sandwiches aren't really worth the $9, but entrées are definitely worth the 12$-$15.

I have been coming to Midtown Eatery for the past 3+ years. As a Detroit resident, authentic food is often hard to come by. The fact that there is not only Indian food, Asian cuisine, but also greek food is a culmination of the great atmosphere and food they provide. My personal favorite are the Jamaican patties!! Also, they just came out with a new butter lo mein, it is a MUST TRY! 10/10 highly recommend for any midtown adventurer.

I order from here quite often. Service is pretty fast and the food is always delicious and fresh. I really enjoyed the chicken rice platter and the spicy shrimp lo mein.

So I usually visit this restaurant maybe once or twice a month. Really great Indian food. The butter chicken, the butter lamb and the chicken masala, just a name a few. The samosas are also really great. The restaurant is a fusion restaurant, so they also have Chinese and Jamaican dishes. I've never tried the other options but I definitely would recommend this place for Indian food.

The butter chicken and Jamaican beef pies were delicious! The beef pies were super flaky and buttery and the meat inside had the perfect level of spice though I wish I would have ordered something cool to dip it in. The butter chicken they give you plenty of tender chicken pieces warm spices and the rice is nice and chewy. The portions are outrageous. Lol - I ate on it for 3 days. They had my order to me via DoorDash within 30 minutes on a Tuesday in the middle of Detroit during rush hour lunch hour. I'll definitely be coming back to this place.
