Detroit Pizza Bar

I don’t know what’s been going on lately with the bar, but they’ve been slacking big time. I’ve never experienced bad food from them out of the whole year I’ve been eating from them. They burnt the cheese on my pizza. I paid $30 for it.

What an amazing find! This local pizza place boasts all the usual suspects- pizza, wings, and salads. The surprise was the extensive and super fun drink menu. You’ll find a fully stocked bar here, including nonalcoholic options. The staff is extremely friendly, and the locals who hang here give it a community feel. I will definitely be returning. Can’t wait to try out the whole menu!

I ordered to take out in the food was just not good. It wasn't horrible, but there was no taste and virtually no toppings. And the dough was very soft. Almost not done, but somehow the outside was burnt. I was definitely expecting better. I would rate this pizza 5/10 at best.

My friend had an event here today and the restaurant looks very nice and clean, however I never got my food even though I was there for 2 hours. I order a food and drink, reminded the waitress 3 times and still never got my order. She was the only server. So after an hour I went to the bar and asked if I could at least get a drink and he said was only serving people at the bar and that I would have to see the server. I explained to him I ordered an hour ago and would just like a drink, he said they were swamped and threw his hands up and walked away with no cares about what I said. By the time the event ended I still never received my order. When leaving there was NOBODY in the lower half of the restaurant, so why couldn't they get more assistance upstairs? I have NEVER in my life went out to eat and not been able to eat. My friends were getting to go boxes while I had nothing. Some of my friends received their bills before receiving their food. It was a hot mess. A few of us had to leave to go get food elsewhere. And I've seen the way people who leave reviews are responded to. Customer service should matter if you're in the restaurant business. I wouldve really loved to try what was on the menu, it sounded really good, this was really unacceptable if you all plan on staying open for the long run.

I stopped here on a whim, hungry denamug. Ordered it to go and when I opened the box I was pleased with the smell and what I saw. My hunger was not wasted as I really enjoyed the taste of my pizza, especially the crust. What I was not pleased with is the amount of spinach I received that I paid for. I assumed it was parsley flakes and I should’ve inquired. I thought it was under the sauce or cheese—a 4 cheese blend that was great—but it wasn’t there and neither were the mushrooms I ordered. I ordered the mushrooms because they didn’t have seafood—they don’t carry it anymore even though it’s still on the menu. The sauce was really good—kind of reminded me of Buddy’s sauce. The employees were super cool and the space was great. Another plus, is that the pizza tastes great the next day in the air fryer. Just wished they gave me exactly what I paid for. I don’t mind paying more for quality food.

This is about as fun a neighborhood bar and pizza restaurant as you'll find. Classic #DetroitFriendly staff. The pizza recommendation, the Stoepel, was excellent. Looking forward to bringing more friends. It is a classic Detroit style pizza, but the base bread seemed "lighter," so it was less filling. The topings were really.

Today was my first & last time visiting. The taste of the food is not the issue. It is the quantity & value of the food. I ordered two menu items that came up to $42. In the photos you will see my $14 garlic parm wings (5 pc) and my $28 all meat pizza with hardly any toppings on it. You can see how the sauce of the pizza is just tossed down each side of the pizza with a few added meat scraps. I love deep dish pizza & I usually get Jets & grew up down the street from the original Buddy's. This did not compare. I paid for dough & two chicken wings. They have some pizzas on the menu named after a few of the streets in the neighborhood but if someone in the neighborhood wanted to come eat they would not be able to afford it or feed their family because they would have to spend almost $60 to feed everyone. The cheapest pizza is a cheese pizza for $18. There is only 8 slices of pizza. Not sure who they are trying to bring into the restaurant. I always support black owned. For the $14 wings I could have gone to Golden Wingz and gotten a 10 PC WHOLE wing combo with fries and a drink for the same price. I saw the opening on TV and thought it was gonna be so much more but I was fooled. I ended up spending $50 after tipping the waitress who was working both upstairs & downstairs by herself on a Friday, at dinner time. How many pieces of pizza & wings are not listed on the menu. Don't be fooled like me. I was tempted to leave 2 stars.

This is a hidden gem that should b screamed about. First time visit and was embraced like family. I can’t believe it was my first. I hate French fries but oh my I really liked theirs. It wasn’t big and chunky and not over seasoned. Thank you. We both order chicken but different flavors on the habanero. AWESOME at first glanced I thought they were basic wings. But baby 🥰🥰🥰 the flavor was everything. How could I just find this place. They do have a full bar. The establishment is bright and open you have tvs everywhere. Without worry if the bathroom, just as everything else awesome and clean. If allowed I can not wait to go back!!!!! DETROIT PIZZA BAR YOUR STAFF ROCKS!!!

We ordered takeout with Grubhub.jerk chicken pizza and korean wings. The pizza was pretty good but tasted nothing like jerk chicken. A simple deep dish pizza with chicken on it. More of a jerk flavor would be better. These wings baby.... absolute disgrace. Tiniest wings on the planet. My boyfriend called them pigeon wings. Burnt and no meat on the bone for..... $16 dolllllaaarrss. We called to inquire and was told it is a serving of 4 whole wings and these are the normal size. It's some pigeons missing there wings somewhere.

I am not an expert of Detroit's pizza but this pizza was not good at all. It was thick (I guess that is the style) and heavy. The flavor was completely dominated by the red sauce on top. I could not even tell the difference between the different pies.

Overpriced and bad attitudes on the part of the server. Lemon drop Martina was horrible. Sent it back and still got charged, even though I didn't drink it. And how is an 8 slice pizza $28. Four wings (small) 14. When I asked the waitress about my bill discrepancy, she stated it wasn't her problem. Needless to say, first and last time eating here. bad experience!

We ordered a bunch of pizzas from here for an event we were holding and it was PHENOMENAL!!!! I don't live In Detroit but if I did I would go here all the time. The vegan pizza is the best I've ever had. I don't know if they make their veg pizza in house but I wish I could buy it by the pound. I didn't do the order myself but my coworker said they were very kind and accommodating.

Unfortunately I didn't get a so good experience at this place. I got pizza that was nearly raw, didn't taste good, and when my review was posted I didn't get the best response. Actually, BEFORE my review was posted. This is a place I would not go to again until further notice, hopefully they reach out and try to fix things. If not, oh well. I ordered the Monica for takeout. It had a lot of makings for a good pizza. What was edible on and around the crust was quite delicious and presented itself as maybe almost nearly overcooked. The other 80% of the pizza was a different story. It was almost completely raw. I think they just slap on way way way too much alfredo for this pizza in way that's preventing the pizza from actually cooking. It was quite literally a pool of alfredo with a crusted rim. Maybe heat the alfredo separetly, use it more sparingly, and put it on once the pizza has had a chance to cook? When I say this pizza was raw I don't mean like a little thin layer of raw dough underneath the cheese. The bottom was still stark white and looked like it was maybe cooked 15%. Everything above the very bottom was completely raw and inedible. For a $26 pizza that came out to $31 with tip this was just inexcusable and I can't imagine ever coming back.

Food gets **** Interior * They do MoTown pizza pretty well. They also know how to cook a wing (not as easy as it sounds). Would come back for both. That being said, the interior? Terrifying. It's what I imagine a meeting area for family looks like in a prison or a mess hall on a submarine. Put some damn color on those walls ya'll! ANYTHING, just not what it looks like now. Depressing as f**K.

The food is great! The service was quick! And the ambiance is nice- especially the rooftop. Definitely going back for the pizza! Yum!

First I must say I'm from NY so to be personally invited here by Marcus was an honor! When you first walk in there were two women sitting at the door to welcome you into the restaurant, we went and sat down at the bar to be served by Marcus and greeted by his business partner Akuna sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly, they both have a welcoming energy and a great vibe. Check the photos for more details on the ambiance. Now what we are really here to talk about is the food the impossible burgers were soooo good yes I had to emphasize on the so! as well as the potato cut fries with the seasoning. Being from NY I'm not to quick to order pizza from other states but The Monica which is a chicken Alfredo Pizza mmmm it was delicious just the right creaminess red onion cheese and the dough was so good don't tell anyone but I used a fork to eat it lol. We will be back to visit Detroit and as soon as we land we will be back with more people and a bigger appetite!

I really enjoyed the Korean BBQ wings I had... great flavor! Staff was really friendly and the service was quick.

We loved eating here! You can tell Marcus and his staff are all about building a community place to enjoy games! The pizza was amazing and the drinks were great too! The upstairs has an awesome rooftop patio and the vibes were on point. If we find ourselves back in the Detroit area on a football weekend we will definitely be spending time here again!!

Okay...server Marcus is the absolute BEST SERVER(request him), he suggested drinks, appetizers, and pizza. I can appreciate a server that not only know his stuff but....has the right PROFESSIONAL demeanor. First time here and my sister and I had a WONDERFUL experience. Try the grape ape it is PERFECT...!

Ordered the wings for takeout. They were good. It's on my list to visit and dine in during the summer to experience the terrace. And actually try the pizza
