Ok, this place isn't half bad and I liked it. I was out and about and didn't want a huge meal. I figured I'd give this place a try since I drive by it from time to time.
Walking in, the place is cute. There's a walk up line where you order and they make your food as you go down the line. You have a few choices of food to choose from. Tacos, burritos and some nachos are the ones I remember. You also have an option of Mexican rice and white rice to choose from. Um, why would you want white rice?
I went with the two tacos, and had a ton of choices. Chicken, beef, fish pork (ew) are the main options here. I chose beef, of course and went with a side of rice and beans. They also have fountain pop and mexican pop and beverages as well. I went with a fountain pop!
The tacos themselves were actually good. Not the greatest I've ever had, but actually good. I was stuffed when I was done. I will say, the rice and beans were kind of a let down. It was either black or pinto beans and I don't think it would have made a difference which one's I got. I just didn't like them. It kind of made me think of Chipotle. The Mexican rice was okay, but lacked any sort of pep, and was kind of bland. I mean, it was okay, but could have used a bit more spice.
Overall, I really liked it here. They also have an upstairs seating area, but I wasn't feeling all that great so I sat downstairs. Service here was friendly and helpful, which really made my first experience even better. I would gladly return if in the area since I really did like it so much.
