Detroit Wing Company is one of my favorite spots. I frequent both this location and the one in Eastpointe.
I personally prefer the boneless wings here, but the bone-in wings are good, as well. I have tried more than half of the sauces and rubs currently on the menu. The cajun dry rub and garlic parmesan are easily my two favorite. The new creamy dill pickle sauce is a solid option, too. According to a member of the staff, the sauce's contents are a secret. There are also a couple lemonades on the menu that are quite refreshing. The flavors are blue raspberry and strawberry. Of these, I prefer the blue raspberry, but I like both. The fries here are above average. I recommend adding a dry rub of your choice to the fries. Dill pickle rub is a new option, and it comes with a side of the creamy sauce for dipping. The chicken on the sandwich can be sauced or tossed with any of the options available for the wings. When the sandwiches were first introduced, there were only two options, so this is a notable change.
Speaking of changes, I'm hoping my influence has some pull here. The teriyaki sauce, Carolina gold BBQ sauce, poutine, and honey butter hot chicken sandwich were all legitimately excellent, but are no longer on the menu. The poutine was taken off the menu due to a new set up all the kitchens have, but I'm at least hoping the sauces can be brought back. Regardless, DWC is my go-to spot for wings, especially for a big game. Make sure to check out the game day deals to get the best bang for your buck!
