Detroit’s Best Chicken Wings | Eater Detroit

"Mostly servicing takeout orders this fast-expanding restaurant chain serves bone-in and boneless wings alongside chicken tenders and dresses them up with flavors such as dry-rubbed habanero ranch, Carolina gold barbecue, and teriyaki sauce. The restaurant also offers comfort food favorites like poutine and macaroni and cheese." - Serena Maria Daniels

The Best Places for Poutine in Metro Detroit | Eater Detroit

"Multi-location metro area chain Detroit Wing Co. offers more than just chicken. If your hands are already gloriously messy from the sloppy wing sauce, why not dig into some traditional beef gravy poutine?" - Mickey Lyons

Detroit Wing Company is one of my favorite spots. I frequent both this location and the one in Eastpointe. I personally prefer the boneless wings here, but the bone-in wings are good, as well. I have tried more than half of the sauces and rubs currently on the menu. The cajun dry rub and garlic parmesan are easily my two favorite. The new creamy dill pickle sauce is a solid option, too. According to a member of the staff, the sauce's contents are a secret. There are also a couple lemonades on the menu that are quite refreshing. The flavors are blue raspberry and strawberry. Of these, I prefer the blue raspberry, but I like both. The fries here are above average. I recommend adding a dry rub of your choice to the fries. Dill pickle rub is a new option, and it comes with a side of the creamy sauce for dipping. The chicken on the sandwich can be sauced or tossed with any of the options available for the wings. When the sandwiches were first introduced, there were only two options, so this is a notable change. Speaking of changes, I'm hoping my influence has some pull here. The teriyaki sauce, Carolina gold BBQ sauce, poutine, and honey butter hot chicken sandwich were all legitimately excellent, but are no longer on the menu. The poutine was taken off the menu due to a new set up all the kitchens have, but I'm at least hoping the sauces can be brought back. Regardless, DWC is my go-to spot for wings, especially for a big game. Make sure to check out the game day deals to get the best bang for your buck!

Oh gosh where do I start? From the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out I was treated with such kindness and respect. Not only that but with quality and freshness. I had forgot to order food at work and didn’t have a lot to spend ( I am a single mother ). I had made some extra cash at work and have heard people raving about this place.. but I am picky with my wings. I like mine all flats, good size, juicy but not raw and with some good bleu cheese no crumbles. Let me tell you… Detroit Wing Company understood the assignment and delivered baby!! I was honestly in shock. They were quick and huge and hot!! I ordered the 14pc combo or special. I got to choose two flavors but decided to just go with virgin and I’ll try sauces another time if I like them. Bleu cheese obviously and to be healthy carrots and celery instead of fries/slaw. The amount of carrots and celery they gave me was generous and awesome. Again I’m picky with my bleu too (surprise! lol) but the bleu was just as amazing as the wings. I really can’t rave enough about the wings. They were just fantastic. I wanna say I spent less than $20 for them and honestly worth the money. You’re really gonna get quality. I can’t wait to try sauces especially the pickle one! Drew was amazing!!! Nice to my daughter as well! Thanks guys!

I am so taken away from the taste and customer service! You guys surely do give someone the experience! I will be back soon!

Food is tolerable for late night in Detroit but I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches today and one had a very large piece of plastic in it. Real shame you can't sue these places until they actually harm you instead of just potentially harming you

Not the space to dine in but don't let that stop you from enjoying good food a even better service. The place was clean. The woman who took our order was very inviting and nice. The food might take a bit but that's because it is being prepared fresh upon ordering. There is some bar seating if you do want to dine in but as we were there eating they get a ton of dine out business. They have a variety of sauces for the wings ( we had Garlic Parm, Cajun Parm & Honey Mustard and they were very good but messy). I think next time I will get the sauce on the side to dip the wings in. Looking forward to going back.

Food was great. Tenders were perfectly cooked and good size. Little light on the breading but still good. Fries have been stepped up a notch and are fantastic again. But bring back the Poutine Fries! Those were amazing and I'm sad to not see them on the menu!!

Google
Highly disappointed. I tried this place a couple years ago and really enjoyed it so I decided to try again today. TERRIBLE!! My macaroni was so cold omg and the chicken? Warm but no flavor, needed sauce. But the sauce was just as nasty smh. On top of that there were bugs everywhere!! I know it’s hot outside and we can’t help it but they can do better with the control and clean up. A big bug was dangling right over me!! Don’t know what happened but they’ve really fallen off.

Google
Detroit Wing Co supplied a meal for our staff at Henry Ford and boy was it ever delicious! So thoughtful and generous. The garlic and bbq boneless wings were to die for! Perfect crunch and tons of sauce! Highly recommend.

Yelp
They were very fast. The inside looks clean. The wings and the tenders are pretty good. I've had better but you can't be super fast. The barbecue was really nice and I asked for sauce on the side and it did come to the side. They did show me all my food before I left to make sure it was right which I did like. But enough about me talking the pictures will do better justice.

Yelp
Detroit Wing Company has the highest quality bone I. wings in Detroit (Only Detroit's Best Wings on Six Mile competes). Their wings are huge and crispy and just taste high quality. You're not getting the baby wings like you do at modern BDubs or WingStop. I like my wings hot and I'd say their Hot Garlic sauce is the best "hot" wing sauce right now(Wingstop's Atomic is the only competitor after BDubs killed their Blazin sauce). It's just ridiculously good, and I consider myself a wing connoisseur. This is a take out spot, but they have stools and a table to eat at the premises. Their service is insanely good and every worker there is pleasant. It was almost jarring how kind they were. The prices are a bit high, as all wings are

Yelp
Like all the other dwc locations, the food is great and the sauces are the best. Definitely the best carry out wing location around.

Yelp
When i came in, all of the workers were extremely polite and friendly. Kylee was my cashier and she is awesome! They had about 10 different sauces and rubs to choose from and I was recommended the honey butter hot rub chicken sandwich by Kylee. The sandwich had a massive piece of chicken. The rub is soo, buttery, spicy and has a slight sweetness. It is a bit of a kick so beware if you can't handle spice. This was a fantastic chicken sandwich for $7.95 and I'd definitely recommend it

Yelp
Overall this was good! We got the fries, tots, chicken strips, and two different types of wings. Usually they aren't ready on time but they were this time! I enjoyed it and it's a good go to.

Yelp
I've tried them a few times, unfortunately every time wasn't too good of experience simply bc the food was just nasty. The service and staff are friendly but I can't get past the pricey food and it being not good. I've only tried boneless wings from them so maybe traditional is good idk won't be trying again unfortunately.

Yelp
Been waiting for months for this place to finally open & boy am I glad they did! I had tried what I think is the original Detroit Wing Co. on 9 Mile in Eastpointe awhile back & likes them pretty well. Call me crazy, but I think this location is even better! Dominique the manager has assembled a friendly, efficient staff and the food is incredible. I'm kind of a wings snob & a bit of a purist, but I've been there twice in the 2 weeks they've been open & had their "boneless" wings & the tenders tossed in Buffalo & the spicy garlic - both were great, but I can't wait to try the wings wings. Warning - the garlic IS spicy; the Buffalo is just right. You can get the sauce in the side if you prefer. Last time I also ordered the cole slaw & I loved that too. Great to have this option right nearby. Thanks!!

Kelly S.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich is always fire! I do it with the honey butter hot seasoning. The owner Alex and the crew are always super friendly too!

Yelp
I've been getting emails about 20% off and Detroit Wing company doesn't want to honor you guys have the best wings but none of your employees want to give the 20 % off well I'm not ordering unless I get the 20% off

Yelp
We had a great experience ordering to go for a small tailgate party. Their boneless wings are HUGE! And the traditional wings are so moist ! The boneless were about twice the size of most boneless I'd had, we probably will get less next time because people cannot eat as many. Food was hot and pickup was on time from an online order. Sauce review: Buffalo - mild spice, traditional Creole - seemed like Buffalo with Parm cheese added, it was very tasty Sweet Heat - the spiciest we tried, WOW , it was pretty hot. Firecracker - sort of like a spicy citrus glaze, the mildest we tried.

Yelp
I was excited to see this location open on Mack, however I was very disappointed with my order The lady taking my order was very rude on the phone and unpleasant when I came in to pick up, fine people have bad days ... but then the food, sigh, was terrible!! The wings where swinging in sauce, prob 4oz's drenched the bottom of the box, which made the wings soggy, Yuck !! The wings were cold and not crisp... I could go on, tho I'll just say the whole order was not good, bad experience with staff The inconstancies between the Mack ave location and 9 mile are huge !! Next time, I will skip going here! even tho it's super closer to where I live !! And go to the Eastpoint location.. disappointed I wasted my money ... but now I know, thank you next

Yelp
Great customer service, the ladies were super nice! Food is better than any Buffalo Wild Wings food and was cheaper!! I wish I remembered names but you guys are awesome!

Yelp
I tried this place last week and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered online. Got text messages with updates about my order including when it was ready. Easy pick up. Friendly staff. The wings were awesome. The bourbon barbecue is my new favorite. They even sent a follow up email to make sure I was satisfied. Check them out. I'll be back for sure.
