Quite literally the worse customer service I have experienced. Stopped in today about 10 minutes prior to me making this review. Store opens at 10:30 I arrived around 10:34 door was locked. I decided to give them some time before I pull off , when a gentleman arrives and knocks at the door and is let in. I stay in car to see if the staff re locks door , or officially opens. I see they don't lock door I enter an begin to view the menu. The young man from before comes to take my order , I instantly notice a bad attitude. I proceed to just order my food and occasionally ask a question, every response was rude, the attitude was nasty. For no reason at all , I try to let it be , maybe he's had a bad day. He goes to the back im sitting waiting for food , I hear him from lobby laughing talking full of energy. Come back with order eventually and back to the same rude unnecessary behavior, I ask for sauce and am told no sauce comes with it , again in a rude unnecessary tone,ok cool lil bro , how much for sau- before I even finish speaking "all our sauce 1.58 " attitude present, ok I go in my pocket I get almost enough, tell the clerk one second please I'll need to go to car. I do just that come back and let him know finally. Brother here's the money for sauce by the attitude and customer service needs to improve. He doesn't even look at me , have a nice day , I repeat young man I don't want to give you a harder day than you already have but good attitude, good energy and respect go a long way, you never know who you will cross paths with. After such a terrible interaction, I'm good on DWC from here out. Wouldn't recommend it

The traditional wings are larger than you’ll get at almost any wing place. I’ve gotten wings at several DWC and my experience is consistent. Wings are big, juicy (not overcooked) with delicious sauces that coat the wings as they should be (no skimping on sauce). Their tenders are fantastic as well! The atmosphere isn’t much as it’s basically a take out place with a few tables if you wanted to eat there. I prefer DWC’s traditional wings over BWW, Wingstop, Wing Snob, or any other wing place I’ve tried.

Ashley is great. Very out going with a pleasant smile and voice. The food: we ordered 20 wings 10 whiskey bbq. We gave that an 8.......Habonero mango.....a 7......and the garlic parm was a solid 6. The sauces are great.....but the chicken was dried out, and the fries were bland. No season or even salt on them. I got a blue raspberry and it was delicious.....50/50 I will give it another chance.

I love coming here. I can’t count how many times I come to this location and my food is fresh hot and delicious! The manger there is amazing, I had a minor issue a few weeks ago and they contacted me and fixed it right away! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed ordering from here.

Chicken was dry like they didn’t season it just put sauce on it I ordered garlic Parmesan fries and my fries were drowned in garlic sauce I couldn’t even eat them and to top it all off I left the food in my car for 2hrs because I was at work and it’s cold outside and I came back to my car smelling like rotten food. Will not be back

Heard the cookies good but I didn't get them yet. Their garlic parm and plain wings are delicious! The fries are well seasoned. The sizing of the wings are great. The employees are patient and really kind.

I had a pretty big order on a Friday night. I got everything I ordered and maybe some extra sauce which was so good. The food was good and portions were generous. The spicy Italian dry rub fries are so good. Will definitely be back.

This past Saturday, I ordered chicken tenders combo for take-out, and I specifically told the cashier I wanted my tenders specifically dipped in barbecue sauce. Instead, when I got home and was about to eat, to my surprise, my tenders were not. I have placed many orders from this location, either through UberEats or walk-in orders. I believe communication is the key to listening to customers and making sure we get what's paid for. Overall, I highly recommend the food for choice.

Wow, great crispy wings that are good sized. They also come with dipping sauce on the side and they are Large!

Wings were ok..it was fried too hard for my liking. I would try the boneless next time. Service was good no complaints there.

Less than 24 hours after my bad review, I was contacted by the corporate office of Detroit Wing Company. The Gentleman from corporate listened to my concerns with sincerity and helped resolve the issues. I will return to patronizing this establishment and appreciate the attention my concerns were given.

We got two flavors, garlic parmesan and a hot one. They were ok, I like them a bit crispier. The mac and cheese was really flavorless :( Carried out and ate them at the condo, 7-2-2023

When we first ordered from there a year ago it was $17 for a 12 wing combo, now it's $24.

Holy Moly!!! Their wings are AMAZING!! So before trying Detroit Wings- I was a loyal bdubs fan because that's just the place I went to for over 10years. After trying Detroit Wings- they have a new loyal fan! My favorite so far is the Calypso Heat and Carolina Gold!!! Soooooo yummmy!!! As I'm typing this review, I'm already thinking about going back today to try more flavors!!!

I'll admit I didn't actually try the wings ... but OMG, this review is for the MAC & CHEESE ($8.50) which fully deserves all five stars!!! BEST Mac & Cheese I have ever had - my favorite type of Radiatori noodles that hold the super creamy, cheesy sauce, and a thick layer of cheddar and breadcrumbs on top. In short - GET THE MAC & CHEESE

I have been a fan of Detroit wing Company since this location opened a few years ago. I'm a huge fan of traditional wings however their chicken tenders are phenomenal. Sauced or unsauced, they taste really good. The staff is always really helpful, and the wait is never terribly long. It's a small location but I love the modern look and the menus on the wall. I went this time for their new chicken sandwich and was surprised at how delicious it was. it's incredibly crispy, seasoned, and not as salty as Popeyes chicken sandwich. Their poutine is so good as well. Do yourself a favor and swing by this place next time you get a chance.

OH MY GOD. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and my life is forever changed now that I have. I decided on the 8 piece boneless wings for lunch today. It's fantastic you get the choice of two sauces to mix things up. I opted for the buffalo and the parm garlic sauce. The buffalo sauce was great, classic and delicious. The parm garlic had me losing my mind. I've really never tried anything other than bbq/buffalo on my wings and I'm so happy I tried this. Super flavorful, it coats the wings great and it has the right amount of zip. The Mac and cheese was also a must. I've had plenty of people recommend it and I know why. I love when restaurants use fun noodles in the mac, even better when the sauce is outstanding. Super creamy and delicious, the noodles hold the sauce great, all topped off with crunchy breadcrumbs and even more cheese. The fry sauce is incredible on anything!

Damn it for me Detroit wing company is only two stars. I wanted to believe the hype, as far as the sauce flavors go they are all pretty good. With my favorite being that garlic parmesan. But the thing that brings me down is every time I go in that place they forget something on my order AND the wings are always cold. This is so disappointing, I'm there to pick it up when they're ready and I don't live far but bite into the wings they are cold. So for me I got to go only 2 stars. If they can make them hot or not screw up my order I'm sure this would be four stars. Yeah I'm sure I'll try them again but I'm bummed that I can only give them to Stars today.

This has become my favorite wing place in all of Detroit. I always order online and have never had a problem. It's like the complete opposite of that Buffalo place lol... The sauces here are unique and delicious. I'm a big fan of the Asian Orange, Firecracker, Hot Garlic, and Carolina Gold Sauces. The sauces may be more flavorful / spicy than you're used to, so if you're a flavor or heat wimp, I suggest that you order your sauce on the side just to be safe. The wings are always larger than most places, crispy and delicious. You really couldn't ask for more from a wing place. Yes, their prices are a bit on the high side and they never seem to have any coupons or promotions. That part is unfortunate, but the best is rarely cheap.

Consistency is now 50/50 since franchising. The new owners are diligent, polite and communicate well. However, Not sure if this is an issue of the new consolidated packaging, but since combining wings and fries in the same box, the wings are mixed together side by side with no separation and the fries are not only ALWAYS lukewarm, they taste as if they were cooked first and sat waiting 20 minutes for the wings to finish. It used to be that every flavor of wings had it's own box and the fries were prepared last. I miss the old days. EVERYTHING felt made to order fresh and piping hot when you got home. This is no longer the case.

I'm happy to write a review for DWC!!! I met one of their employees a few months ago and they convinced me I needed to come check out their menu. I should find that man and give him a hug, I love these wings! The housemade sauces are what it's all about. I don't typically eat Parmesan garlic sauce with wings, but their garlic Parm is unreal. One of the best wing sauces I've ever eaten. If you are searching for spicy, look no further, you can get them as spicy as you could possibly want!!! Beware of the hottest sauce Not only is the food delicious, but the owner and staff know how to treat their customers. I highly encourage any chicken wing fans to get to DWC... They recently won the Detroit wing cookout and have happy hour boneless wings everyday

40% off happy hour you say? I'm in! We got 24 boneless wings for happy hour and every flavor was delish! And great, meaty pieces of chicken. Not too much breading and I didn't worry I was gonna break a tooth like at other chain wing places (cough bww cough) The lemon pepper was so zing-y! Good barbecue flavors. And the simple plain with ranch had such good seasoning. Definitely recommend!

Service was fast. Ordered online and they texted once the order was ready. The garlic parm wings were really good. The hot garlic wings were VERY spicy. I figured they would be like Buffalo Wild Wings spicy garlic, but they were not- I couldn't finish eating them, so I wish I would have ordered another flavor. Cornbread was tasty too. Would like to go back to try some other flavors.

Terrible customer service from one of the individuals that works there. For reference I came in and place an order as a walk-in. I asked her for an idea on how hot the Buffalo was and if there was anything similar seasoning wise but milder and she could not give me a solid answer. When she couldn't I decided to just try it and ordered half buffalo half honey, barbecue and a 12 piece wing. Not only did she bring it up wrong but then I got the wrong order of all honey barbecue. I took the time to go back to the restaurant and explain it to who I believe was the manager. She then came out and when I told her what has happened as well, she tried to tell me how my line of reasoning worked and why it wasn't possible that I ordered half honey barbecue half buffalo. The manager quickly shut her down and gave me another six wings in buffalo, but the experience ruined even what little I enjoyed of the wings. Will not be returning.

I consider myself a wing aficionado and have heard good things about the DWC so I decided to give them a try. Small space on Greenfield near some chain restaurants. I was hoping there would be a larger dining area but there are only 2 tables (mostly carry out business) but I used one of them because I didn't want to try these warmed up after driving back. Buffalo Style is what I do and I liked their sauce. Lots of butter flavor mixed in and they were good. Everything is cooked to order so don't be in a hurry. I'll be back to try some other flavors soon. Stop by and give them a try!

So I ordered boneless wings and traditional wings with hot garlic and sweet heat sauce on the side. So the cook made a mistake and put the hot garlic sauce on the traditional wings. They did offer to fix my order and that it would be an additional 10 Min. I had already been waiting for 15 min and had to get to work. They gave me some corn bread for their mistake as I didn't want to wait any longer. They boneless was very good and better than BWW. The traditional was very so to me ( I like crunchy wings). BWW has better traditional wings. The hot garlic was very spicy and delicious as well as the sweet heat sauce.

My favorite wing spot in Michigan! Staff was polite on phone and direct. Owner was on site which was pleasant to see. My tenders came out juicy, tender, hot, and most importantly tasty! You should order both classic & tenders, they were both good. Garlic Parmesan sauce I was told was house made, the habanero ranch was memorable. Limited seating but nice interior. I will definitely be back.

Just tried an 8 piece traditional wing with buffalo and garlic parmesan sauces with their blue cheese. The wings were on point, delicious. They were bigger wings then what you will find out some other national chain restaurants. I really enjoyed their buffalo sauce, the GP I will probably not order again. It was good and true to style, but I remember how I can only handle a few of this sauce. I look forward to trying their other sauces on my next visit. My wife ordered their chicken tenders and French fries. The fries were good, no seasoning but still good. The chicken tenders were thick and tasted great(I had a small taste).

Good overall, I would not recommend getting the 1 pc Cornbread Muffin. I paid $3.00 and it's pretty small. Highly recommend if you want to try something new.

I ordered from here via door dash a couple of nights ago. I decided to order because my family members told me they'd heard great things about DWC. Well I was not impressed. I requested that the chicken was well done and that request was ignored. The chicken was bland. The only tasteful part was the skin the sauce covered. The inner portion of the chicken wing and drum had no taste. The DWC fries were very yummy though!

I've been here once before but decided to try out some different items for this weeks cheat meal. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip, corn bread, Buffalo wings (bone in), butter cheese (bone in), and the Honey BBQ Chipotle meal. The best part of this entire meal was forsure the chips that come along with the Buffalo chicken dip. I appreciate the business for being open and keeping staff and customers safe. They are crushing it on that point. You order your food and it comes fast, well prepared, and the communication is excellent. The flavor profile fell flat on almost everything here. The butter cheese being the worse and tortilla chips being the best. If you're to go here, stick to what you know and opt for boneless as they tend to taste better.

If you're in the mood for wings, this is your place. Just found out about this establishment and I can tell you it's already my go-to place for wings now. The sauces are absolutely fantastic, the service has been great, and most importantly the size of the wings is perfect. You're definitely getting your moneys worth.

Every time I get carry-out from here, I always order what seems to be way too much, but it's all so good I end up full and happy with leftovers. Their wings blow BWW's out of the water. Great to see a local joint that does them right. Traditional, boneless, tenders - you can't go wrong. Their bleu cheese and ranch are addicting, and every wing flavor I've tried so far, I'd get again. My go-tos are buffalo, honey BBQ, and garlic parm. They also do sides very well - mac & cheese, cheese sticks, poutine, cornbread...try 'em all. Also some of the best cheesecake I've had - you gotta get Oreo if you're lucky enough for them to have it in stock. In my experiences, DWC does not miss.

Not just a wing shop First time ordering I wasn't blown away- but I think that was my fault on JUST ordering traditional wings when they have so much more to offer. They have a variety of sauces, many that pack a punch which I appreciate, and their menu items also include chicken tenders (I would recommend over traditional wings), fries, poutine, mac and cheese, potato salad and more. My vote for a side is an order the mac and cheese! Not listed on their menu I ordered the Hot Garlic and warning its a hot one! They make a great standard Buffalo sauce and their Asian Orange reminds me a lot of orange chicken from PF Changs. I've also had the chipotle honey and to compare I was more or a fan of honey BBQ from BWW The traditional wings don't have a thick fried skin coating- so probably a better option than boneless or tenders- but the chicken tenders are juicy meaty and crunchy!

Visited because of Yelp and I'm glad I did! Ordered a few things because I wanted to try everything. My favorite were the habanero Ranch. It wasn't clear with the menu, but these are dry rubbed wings. The flavor is great, with a perfect amount of spice. I also had some creole parm wings which were great and ordered butter cheese for the kids (tasted like little Caesars bread sticks!) kids loved em. Also had the poutine.. didn't know the gravy was made from scratch, until I talked to the nice lady taking my order.. she said that the wings were never frozen and all sauces were made from scratch.. you can tell when you take a bite. I'll be back soon.

My favorite wing spot!!!! Try the whiskey barbecue, creole Parmesan and garlic Parmesan. Their boneless chicken is the best compared to traditional.

literally stalked the opening of this place on their instagram page because if you live in this area of southfield you know most of the food places are crap! it's hard to find solid food with solid service around here, especially in carry out joints. i had never tried any of the other locations, but i heard nothing but good things. i ordered the $11 meal, which comes with 10 wings (your choice of 5 classic and 5 boneless, or all of one kind) and a side of fries. this price point was standard, and less than what i normally pay at the "other" wing place...you know where i'm going with this...normally for $11 you just get wings, no sides or anything, so fries was a plus, especially since they let you mix both wing types. you get one sauce for each type if you choose both. they also have other meal deals if you're feeding more people. the wings are great, the boneless wings are NOT heavily breaded which i loved! i hate when places overly bread their wings just to skimp the customer on actual chicken. i got them with honey chipotle sauce, which was good but just not spicy enough for me. i was expecting more of a punch, but next time i will try whiskey bbq or honey bbq. the boneless wings were all white meat and not weird filler meat. the classic wings were good, i had the buffalo sauce which also wasn't spicy like i expected it, but that's fine because my husband does not like spicy food like i do, and he always orders buffalo sauce. their classic wings are not fried hard, so if you like them crispy you will have to let them know, otherwise they will be cooked to the normal standard for wings. the fries were just fries, but i have to say they were a lot better than most fries...something about the flavor that i can't put my finger on just yet. a side of ranch will run you .89 cents, but you get a nice 3 ounce sized dipping cup! definitely will be our new spot for wings!

So I have been in Detroit for almost three years now and it has been somewhat challenging in finding a wing spot near Madison Heights. I would settle for Wingstop or bring home Sweetwater Wings after work. I was recommended this spot by a fraternity brother who told me that they had opened a location in Southfield. Man, the wings were good! I liked the options of ordering online and having the ability to choose the cook type of your wings and light or heavy sauce. I got the Sweet Heat and Carolina Gold BBQ. The sweet heat was more heat than sweet, but really good. The Carolina BBQ Gold has the right balance of mustard and BBQ sauce. I am unsure if they sell their homemade sauce, but it would make money! The only semi-reservation is the hostess seemed like she had an attitude when I picked up my order. As a new customer, I believe it's important to come into a place and feel welcomed. I would come back for sure because the wings were fire, but that's the only area of improvement I can suggest.

There was nothing special about this place. I've had better wings elsewhere. I'm no wing ding fan and the menu spices/sauces should specify what's what.

Wings are to die for, there firecracker sauce is my favorite wing sauce from any wing place ever. Always incredible customer service and today I ordered boneless wings a mistake happened and I received bone-in wings and they gave for a free 6 piece boneless for the mistake! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I have had quite a few chicken wings from Detroit Wing Company and I am never left disappointed. This particular location is located in a busy strip mall on the Southfield side of Greenfield not far from 9 mile. Its located between 3 other food establishments (Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Jimmy Johns and Detroit Fresh Fish)...which I think is a great for foot traffic. You go in to Five Guys and say "Hey, there a new wing place for me to try". The inside is small, always clean and there are a couple of tables for a quick dine in. Every single time I have visited, the staff was friendly and professional. I have tried the traditional wings and tenders and they were both very good. The wings are a decent size and the tenders are thick and juicy. They have a large selection of sauces and rubs to choose from...butter garlic and Carolina Gold are my favorites. I've had the fries (regular, not DWC fries that have the sauces and rubs on them) and macaroni and cheese as sides. The fries are pretty good....the macaroni and cheese is a NO. No seasoning whatsoever, the creamy cheese was only at the bottom of the pan and there was a very small amount of cheese on top. However, not bad enough to take away a star. Another must try here...the house-made strawberry lemonade. Don't ask questions..just get it! If it's not in the refrigerator by the counter, ask the cashier. They keep it behind the counter sometimes (especially now because of COVID). I highly recommended if you're in the area looking for good wings. Side note: don't forget the ranch. They charge .89 for a small cup. If you don't order it, you might not get it.

The wings are super meaty and fried just right, but I wasn't the biggest fan of their Spicy Garlic sauce they were offering. It was all heat with very little to no flavor despite being able to see the flecks of garlic. Garlic is a super strong flavor to begin with and if it is completely masked, then it must be a pretty hot sauce. Service was very dry and stale. We had an unwelcoming half assed greeting when we came in and the entire time we were ordering the lady just had her head down and simply replied with either "uh-huh" or "yup" after each item we selected. I do recommend that you order ahead if you are on a tight schedule as we sat there for well over 30 minutes to get our order and there was no one else ahead of us.

I got carry out here the other day for lunch and I was so pleased with my food. The homemade sauce makes all the difference and the fries and chicken were nice and crispy!! Also the cornbread was sweet and they even carry Faygo pop!!

These wings were bomb.com. I was looking for a wing place near oak park and stumbled across them due to yelp. The wings were a pretty good size, the flavor was amazing! I wish I could substitute the fries for a salad, but that is a minor complaint. I do recommend ordering in advance to avoid the wait.

I ordered over the phone and was told 15-20 mins for pick up. Got there in 22 mins and my food was cold. Not much sauce at all on the wings and lord have mercy the fries had so much lemon pepper on them, I choked when I ate just one! I ordered a 10 piece wing and lemon pepper fries came out to $18 with no drink. I ate 1 fry and 3 wings, the trash had the rest! I will never eat here again! Very overly hyped!

In an era where chicken joints are popping up like pimples on a 15 year old boy, yet another emerges... Heard some hype, so I figured I would try it out. Detroit Wing Company doesn't really offer anything special. I like garlic so I tried the butter garlic, disappointed to say the least. These wings had little to no flavor. I also had the honey barbecue, they were good, but not special. The fries and coleslaw were good enough to merit a mention. Am I the only one who thinks chicken joints shouldn't charge for celery and carrots??? This place is good for a quick snack, but priced similar to B-dubs, so feeding an entire family will set you back a bit.

This was my first time visiting this company. And I have to say it was pretty nice I had Whitney taking my order and she was very knowledgeable and recommended some very tasty items on the menu. Kudos Whitney The chicken was cooked well and the pieces were surprisingly very big. The sauces were coated nicely and turn out to be a nice meal. Would definitely eat here again. And oh ask for the sauce that goes with the fries, new favorite!

Absolutely nothing special about this place. I won't be back. On top of the wings being subpar I asked for extra sauce on my wings. These might as well have no sauce on them. Very disappointed that I spent any money on these.

Yeah so I was going to do a carry out order and the woman on the phone who was handling carry out orders was extremely rude and dismissive. She was so rude in fact I canceled my order cause because I'm not going to buy food from a place that treats its customers with hostility.

This was my first time at the Detroit Wing Company and they made a fair impression. It was nothing special about the customer service, it was just very fair. However, let's get into those wings though. They were delicious! The pricing was fair and reasonable. I might be back to try some other flavors. I'm hopeful that they will do better with their customer service. I always give people the benefit of a doubt and figure that they had a bad day. But if that happens on my next visit, I will be writing another review.

Tried the wings and the boneless wings. Personally feel the wings are the best. I like the way you can order online and it asks how you like your wings sauced. It appear that they were short staffed and the young lady was moving very quickly. She was good and organized.When I handed her a nice tip she was shocked, looks like my fellow foodies need to start tipping the help. In these tough times.treat people With a little extra kindness.

So good!! Weve tried a number of different sauces and only the tenders so far. But my hubby is now obsessed and has gone here for lunch 5 times in the last 7 days. The best sauces so far is Firecracker (taste like bang bang sauce from bonefish in novi IYKYK), and calypso heat (ridiculously hot but tasty). Weve tried sweet heat (which was hot but not the best flavor), honey bbq it was ok but not a fav, creole parm was good but im not a garlic parm type of girl, and lemon pepper rub a little too lemony for me but its cool. Anyways i love the ranch, fries pretty decent and prices very doable. Cant wait to try all the other sauces lol

Ordered on Uber eats and they didn't fail me. Lemon pepper wings were so good i was mad I only ordered 6. Tasted a bite of my daughters chicken tenders and Mac and cheese, they were both pretty good also.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Hands down the best wings I've had in a long time. Big and juicy, cooked fresh to order, served piping hot, polite & pleasant cashier. I will definitely be back to try more sauces. We decided to dine in at one of the three tables, but this is very much a carry out type of place. We really enjoyed the quality of the food though.
