What a wonderful dining experience. Forget the stiff tablecloth and formality, this place offers delicious, generous set menu of pure flavor. Being in the Michelin Guide, dining here is a steal. Thank you Chef. ❤️

We accidentally discovered Deux Filles, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. We didn’t know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised to learn it’s a Michelin Guide restaurant with a set menu. Since most of the menu included shellfish and pork, which I don’t eat, I requested some changes. To my delight, the staff accommodated all my requests perfectly. The service was warm, and the food was excellent. Very happy with the experience and highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful time at Deux Filles. The chef creates culinary magic. We've enjoyed the tasting menu with the stellar wine pairing. One of the best selection of wines I've seen in a wine pairing! The waiter offered equally excellent hospitality, kindly explaining everything to us in English. A must try for locals and visitors alike for the ultimate Wine and Dine experience. Added bonus: Nice that the restaurant accepts reservations online that were easy to navigate.

Deux Filles is a fabulous restaurant. Our best meal in Japan. The food was varied and delicious, with fresh vegetables complimenting most of the dishes. I was especially impressed with the chef’s willingness to alter the standard menu, which included wagyu steak, for my wife’s vegetarian diet. The restaurant is intimate (4 tables), accommodating 8-10 diners. Service was professional and welcoming. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is cozy with sitting of about 10 to 12 pax. Food is very delicious and ingredients are fresh. The host provided good information for each dish. Salad is very pretty, presented like a garden. Quite many choices of wine available too. Totally enjoyed the dinner!

Food is excellent, the wine list is impressive, small restaurant but if you’re looking for a food experience this is the place to go in Kyoto

The host was gracious, kind and helpful. The chef’s food was so delicious and one of my favorite meals ever. The menu was thoughtful and utilized Japanese ingredients so wonderfully. We got it with the wine pairing, as well, which I would recommend. With the wine pairing, it was less than $100 USD per person. For a special, romantic evening out in Kyoto, the value for money is incredible. We are American travelers with almost no ability to speak Japanese, yet were guided by the host and well taken care of, so please don’t feel intimidated. The reservation process I followed was to simply message them on Instagram. They responded in a matter of moments and everything was set up perfectly. The dining room is very intimate so I would strongly consider making a reservation. Deux Filles is a special restaurant that I will wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto.
