Devil Dawgs to open in Lakeview near Belmont “L” stop and is reminiscent of Demon Dogs - Eater Chicago

"Devil Dawgs is a mini chain with locations in Lincoln Park, South Loop, and Lakeview. The new location next to the CTA’s Belmont Red/Brown/Purple train station in Lakeview is inspired by Demon Dogs, a hot dog stand that closed in 2003. Devil Dawgs offers fresh-cut fries and dogs with natural casings, and its burgers have earned praise." - Ashok Selvam

Casual dining experience. The chocolate banana milkshake was fantastic!! (really banana not flavoring). The onion rings were also delicious-the batter had almost a faint taste of beer? And very crispy! The chicago dog was okay (but honestly, this was my first ever Chicago dog, so my amature palate might just be unfamiliar). Overall, would absolutely recommend and would return!

Google
Recommend their Maxwell Street Polish! A staple hot dog to try in Chicago with their overtly green relish, pub/diner vibes, and easy order system on self-order kiosks. They offer good flavor and plenty of options in a non-frills manner, but the original can be a little dry.

Google
Its a Dawg place. A women from the hotel recommend we grab Hot Dog here after tha game so we walked down. I had a Big Chicago and my buddy had the Icelandic. We liked what we had amazing hot dog and topping. My only negative and not why gave 4 stars, I wish they had a bigger bun, to keep it all together just a little bit better.

Stephane Maes

Google
Devil Dawgs menu is unique for Chicago hotdog places with their unique options beyond the traditional Chicago dog. The other specialty is their burger sliders which are solid and just the right size to have a side order with a hotdog and fries. Nice handout fresh fries rounds out the offering. The vibe is indoor street art which gives a fun twist to the usual decor of most hotdog places

Google
Got the Chicago dog and bag of fries. Generous portion of fries and they gave me mayo. Fast service, great location and cozy atmosphere. I will say that both the Chicago dog and the fries were both perfectly average. Nothing really wrong with any of it, and nothing particularly special. The fries could have used a bit of seasoning or maybe a little more salt. Prices were also mostly reasonable.

Google
Good food great staff. Kinda quiet on a Sunday evening which is nice because we didn't have to wait really long. The giant Shakes really are just a mcdonalds large but they are thick and heavy. The fries are fresh cut and well done, but the cheese sauce is just the regular taco bell stuff. The onion rings are really good with lots of batter. The devil dawg sauce is just a spicy mayo with a little bit of sweetness like pickle juice and really no heat. But pretty good prices.

Google
Today was National Hot Dog 🌭 Day so I decided to enjoy a compliment hot dog with my purchase of at least $5 minimum on anything I wanted from the menu. Extremely delicious hot dog 🌭 and the fries 🍟 were plentiful and excellent. There's an outside seating area that I was never aware of till today so I'm glad I brought my pyrenees with me. It was a gorgeous day for an outside picnic. The place is kept immaculate and the hot dogs here are delicious and served with all the toppings.

Kristina Williams

Google
My favorite hot dog spot. The relish is always fluorescent, and the dogs always snappy. My actual dogs thoroughly enjoyed the slider with peanut butter and bacon, so thanks for having that on the menu! You can’t go wrong here. So many great choices, and everything they do is solid and tasty—but the dawgs are king!

Yelp
It's my first time having a Chicago hot dog. Surprised how well all the toppings go together as I'm use to NY style hot dogs. Very tasty. Very messy. Generous toppings and filling for a snack. Would definitely stop by again! Service was quick and kind.

Yelp
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the reason it is sacrilege to put ketchup on a Chicago hotdog is that it will disrupt the harmony. If I've learned anything in my three months and change in the city, it's that Chicago hotdogs are all about balance This is why, thus far, the stand across from the art Institute has been unbeaten. Everything works beautifully together, and the celery salt is prominent and noticeable. With such perfection, who needs ketchup? While it wasn't at the level of needing ketchup, the Big Chicago at Devil Dawgs was an okay hot dog, but one where are the execution put it behind others I've had in the city. It comes back to balance. Namely, the applies to the mustard, neon relish, and celery salt. The relish was in over-abundance, which overpowered everything else with its salt and acid. Meanwhile, the mustard and celery salt were just wisps instead of a more prominent and noticeable flavor. The frankfurter itself also fell short. I find that a truly terrific hot dog has a bit of snap to it, and this one wasn't at that level. Thus, while Devil Dawgs may fit the bill if one is hungry and nearby, however, for a truly great Chicago hot dog, there are better places out there.
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
Well....if you like stale bread and cold hot dogs... This is your spot! Better off gettin a 7/11 hot dog!
google avatar

Jorge M.

Yelp
Came to get the chicken tenders after hearing great things about them and they were just okay. They hit the spot for what I needed, however I think I will just go elsewhere as they were nowhere near what I was expecting. For example, I expected them to be super crunchy based on what I was told and they were just alright. Service was good.

Yelp
We stopped in at Devil dogs on a Friday evening and we had a good time. I really like the atmosphere and have cool pictures and drawings in a public art and stuff that I really enjoyed. I got couple chili dogs, cheese fries. It was good. My wife and kids didn't like the hotdogs because it was a snap type of dog but I liked it, I would go here again service cool fast to the
google avatar

Scott N.

Yelp
The atmosphere was pretty cute for a hot dawg place. Staff was super helpful. The dawgs were darned good and the shakes, holy moly! Tater Tots and Fries were also good, but surprisingly it was too much to eat. I think that's a good thing. After a long day of running around, this was the perfect spot for a quick bite. It's also right next door to our hotel, so super convenient.
google avatar

Ernie H.

Yelp
It's a a hole in the wall with a really interesting menu(see pics). It's also right next to the Belmont red brown green and purple line really convenient Tater tots is always a plus as opposed to the ubiquitous french fries. Having had the Icelandic dog in Iceland I can tell you the original us better, their version however is not bad at all. Onion rings on a hotdog is a good thing. Be warned as advertised the blue demon dog is spicy. The shake selection is also noteworthy.

Yelp
Seriously not for the faint at heart! While in Chicago, it seems necessary to consume a hot dog or two.....so I found this place......whoa! The place is just a small little shop....decorated to look graffiti'd and plastered w/ pictures, posters, etc........while there I ordered something called a "Bulldawg".....what's that? How about a deep fried Chicago dog piled with chili coleslaw, & cheese! It was a mess of a hot dog (intended) it definitely was not health food, but it was tasty.....and yes, dogs are defiantly better in Chicago.....it was definitely a Vienna beef dog. No fancy presentation here....the dog is wrapped in paper. I also ordered a Milkshake while I was here......it was really one of the better milkshakes that I have had in a while.....extremely tasty. Check them out
google avatar

Jose C.

Yelp
Great convenient location, right underneath the red line. I've been meaning to try Devil Dawgs for some time now, and with a few locations around the city, I'm honestly surprised it has taken me this long. All the hot dogs, especially their "Devil Dawgs" are on the pricey side. Especially when you don't get fries with your order. The quality of the dog is definitely there though. They use all beef Red Hots instead of Vienna. I ordered their Blue Demons Dawg. I wanted something spicy, and this came with devil sauce, onion, sauerkraut, pickle, and spicy mustard. I was really hoping it was spicy, especially with their "devil sauce@ but it lacked any serious heat. Overall a really delicious dawg, and I can't wait to try a few of their other offerings.

Yelp
We went here with 14 middle schoolers and it was a hit! The vegetarian option was fantastic! The Shane's looked amazing, I'm bummed i didn't get one :( I'll definitely be returning!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely the worst restaurant in Chicago. I was on vacation and someone used my $10 birthday reward. I think one of the employees is committing fraud because this had happened with another $10 reward from this exact restaurant. I wasn't even in town and they used it, not sure how they must have my number or don't want to give out the rewards. Terrible please don't give these cheaters or liars your money.
google avatar

Tess H.

Yelp
YUM YUM YUM love to be able to get a vegan chicago dog!!!! Also the milkshakes are top tier. Great spot to grab a quick meal when I'm out and about in the area.
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
After a long day of apartment hunting, my partner and I needed a quick lunch and after walking past Devil Dawgs earlier in the day, I was craving a good hot dog. I ordered a classic Chicago dog and Diet Coke and could argue that I didn't have a better meal in Chicago than this hot dog. With all the classic fixings, the dog was both warm and toasty, while being fresh and tangy. My partner was a bit hungrier than I was and ordered the chicken sandwich, which was quickly devoured. We also ordered a bag o' fries which was more than enough to split and well worth the order. This will definitely become a staple for a quick, cheap meal when we move into the neighborhood.

Yelp
Another location of this place for hot dogs. Devil Dawgs has a few locations and this is the Lakeview one. It has a lot of hip places to eat around here and it's full of commuters and tourists. Even if you don't want any hot dogs you can still get something else. There's hamburgers, and they have a few vegan friendly styles. I got a vegan hot dog and actually found room inside to sit and eat. It was lunch and it was pretty busy, but there were a few tables inside. The menu is mostly hot dogs unsurprisingly. Many styles of these to choose from. There's of course the famous Chicago style, and many other kinds that are quite similar. It also has the choice to replace any hot dog sausage with a vegan one. This is a good way to not get that nasty stuff they put into these. I had a Chi-Talian. It's about $6.50 for most hot dogs. That's kind of a lot. It at least is kind of big. There's also lots of good toppings. It's a variation of the Chicago style with a few important changes. This has cheddar, giardinera, mustard, and onions. It's vegan without any cheese. This is one of the more popular styles. Check out this location for a hot dog before going anywhere else. It's located just next to the Belmont Brown and Purple Line station. The seating is pretty limited so most people get takeout.

Jantz V.

Yelp
Stopped here before a show at the Vic. Great collection of hotdogs. Had the coney and big Chicago , fries with a side of cheese. All was delicious.

Jenelle H.

Yelp
Terrible service. Server was rude when asking questions about the menu and had an attitude. Food was at best 3/10. Hot dog had no gurth and was rubbery. Would not reccomend or come back
google avatar

Kaleigh W.

Yelp
Hotdog lovers, gather round for the best of the Chicago dogs in town. If you're a vegetarian or vegan - they've got you covered with both hot dogs and burgers. Don't sleep on the shakes either :) speedy service, cool vibe
google avatar

Thomas H.

Yelp
Hey management! Do you know what a "paper hot dog holder is". Absolutely incredible you don't use them. Your hotdogs are amazing, but when you roll them up like a burrito your customers have to deal with with a bun that's turned into oatmeal and a mess all over their lap! Newsflash! Hotdogs must be served in one of these, The bun will stay more intact, your business will double. Guaranteed.... I was going to give you a five, but lack of hot dog awareness was disappointing.

Yelp
EVERYDAY IS NATIONAL HOTDOG DAY @devil.dawgs Had the best time trying their whole menu in celebration of national hotdog day this week! # sponsored DID YOU KNOW? devil dawgs had a fried chicken sandwich on their menu way before most fried chicken places did? HAVE YOU TRIED? their Elvis slider that has peanut butter in it? It's actually pretty good! Perfectly paired with maple bacon & sriracha who knew! BIGGEST SURPRISE - their milkshakes are really damn good. A good test for us is ordering banana-based milkshakes - most places put in fake banana flavors but wow devil dawgs does it right, their Chunky Monkey was so good with chunks of real banana in there. We had the : Hotdogs: bulldawg (made by the manager at this location) comes with a battered & fried hotdog, Chilli, BBQ sauce, Cole slaw, cheese & pickle Big Chicago with devil dawgs (slightly spicy) + relish, mustard, onion, pickle, tomato, sport pepper & celery salt Sliders: Elvis - peanut butter, inferno sauce, bacon Kick ass- like their Chicago dog but ona. Slider! Chicken sandwich Clucker - slightly spicy on a pretzel roll & spicy slaw Classic - got the spicy , with house-made spicy & buttermilk battered chicken on a brioche. Sides Hand cut fries with devils sauce Whiskey battered onion rings with awesome sauce More on Instagram: @midwestmunching

Yelp
Veggie dogs, hooray, hooray! You can get any of their American hotting dogs vegetable or vegetarian style through the magic of their incredible, edible Field Roast time machine! oOoOO! We got the Southern slaw (surprisingly good), Chicago dog (it tastes of Belmont Avenue, in a good way) and Blue Demons dawg (nom nom nom), along with a bucket of delicious and greasy fries with the skin on. They have Dr. Pepper on tap, so I had to indulge, contrary to my usual anti-soda tendencies. Corn syrup for the win! Food is quick from the counter and it's a clean and fun place and we enjoyed it!
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
We love Devil Dawgs! If you really wanna feel comforted by some good, greasy but delicious food, this is an amazing place. We've had hot dogs, sliders, chicken sandwiches, fries, and onion rings from here and everything has been awesome. The chicken sandwich was so much larger than we expected - we got the variation with the spicy slaw on it and I cannot recommend that enough! Portions are very large, it's really affordable, and even getting it delivered the quality is still great. You cannot miss their milkshakes, and even getting these delivered on a hot day we avoided any kind of melted mess!

Maureen S.

Yelp
In my opinion, these are the best Chicago's style hit dogs Try the devil sauce, great!!!
google avatar

Gerry T.

Yelp
From what I've read, Devil Dawgs is related to the old Demon Dogs that was on Fullerton, which was right next to DePaul (Blue Demons). But when the CTA expanded the Fullerton train station, Demon Dogs went away and as a result, Devil Dawgs was born. I believe that's right but to my meat encased aficionados - please feel free to fact check me. This particular location (there are 4) is very convenient, just East of the Belmont Red/Purple/Brown line. You can stop by here and grab a dog or two before walking home. The decor is cool and it's quite deep and spacious for a hot dog joint. I've enjoyed eating here and outside - in my car (practicing that social distancing). The $5.50 hot dogs are pricey but well worth it. So are the sliders, very good - zero complaints. Warning - The Chi-Talian dog may be a bit spicy because of the giardinera peppers but that's ok. The Big Chicago Dog is really good and is a great representation of a beefy dog. I can hardly wait to try all that they have to offer.
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
A wonderful and sloppy Chicago dog! They use an abundance of sweet relish which means you will likely use several napkins but it is delicious. The fries are freshly made and provide a combination of large soft fries along with shorter crunchier ones. What else can you ask for in a quick and satisfying Chicago lunch? Oh yeah, a delicious root beer! Their selection of Hank's or other soft drinks fits the bill.
google avatar

Minh P.

Yelp
Devil Dawgs is a reliable fast food staple right off the Red Line, with particularly good fried chicken sandwiches. I've visited Devil Dawgs a handful of times, and tried the Chicago Dog, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Clucker (Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich on a Pretzel Bun), and the French Fries. Everything here is solid. Best fries I've ever had? Maybe not, but they certainly do the job and taste good, which is all I can really ask. I would say Devil Dawgs is perfect for a late night pit stop, quick meal, or fix for the munchies. They are quite consistent, so I'm sure if I tried more items on their large menu, I would find them similarly solid. The standout in my opinion is their fried chicken sandwich. It's hot, crispy, even when doused in sauce, and truly hits the spot every time. I'm a sucker for a pretzel bun and a little heat so I opt for the Spicy Clucker (it's a subtle spice). Odds are, I'll get a Spicy Clucker again on my next visit! The interior has lots of lighting and eclectic decor, with old school food signs and photos of celebrities. The staff works very efficiently, and the food comes out quick and hot. They've got staple condiments for free (ketchup, mayo, mustard, etc.) and speciality sauces available for a small fee. I will say: I tried their BBQ sauce, and was not a fan of it... Could just be me though! All in all, I have had largely positive experiences at Devil Dawgs, and am very glad that this location exists. Looking forward to my next Clucker!
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
You really can never go wrong with Devil Dogs. As long as you're feeling ready to break that diet or eat some casual junk food that is step up from most fast food joints, this is you're kind of place. I really like this location since it's literally right next to the Belmont L station which makes it easy to get to from all directions. Every time I've gone in, the service has been great, and the food never takes too long to come out. I've tried several dogs here, and they've all been tasty and wholesome. If you're looking for some relatively cheap place to eat before a Cubs game, this place is not a bad option. It's about a 10 minute walk to Wrigley Field so good choice here! I still think Flub A Dub Chub's is better for a Chicago dog, Devil Dawgs is a very close step below. I'll be back!
google avatar

Chelsi B.

Yelp
Devil Dawgs really stood out to my husband and I agreed it sounded good. Tevin got 2 sliders, and an order of fries, while I got a Chicago dog. The inside looks amazing with awesome artwork and even the chairs were artistic and colorful. The fries smell like heavenly potatoes made from the crop God grew himself, and they tasted about the same honestly. The burger was good according to my husband and the hot dog waa decent, but the fries were the star. I am not surprised some of the hot dogs come with fries on the hot dog now that I tasted them. At first I was like "that's weird, I've never once heard of putting fries on a hot dog. I don't think I would like that" but next time I am for sure trying it. If you love hot dogs, I'd check this place out immediately.
google avatar

Khadijah H.

Yelp
I went here with a friend after work on a Tuesday evening. I was waiting for the facility to open as I watched them build it. I always visit the facility on state street in the south loop. I wanted to do something different so I got a Sig EP hot dog. It was one of the cashier's favorite. When I tell you I HATE onions BUTTTTTT I decided to leave the onions on the dog, it was a good choice. While it was TOOO many onions, more then the meat or bread lol, I enjoyed the food choice. Experiencing it in its natural made to order, was the best choice. The bag o fries is like Five Guys. They give you your bang for your buck. I do wish the fries had been fried harder so they're not all wriggly like noodles. Add a little bit more salt as well. The ambiance is super chicago like. Gives off the artistic sense that it's modern and retro.
google avatar

Chase S.

Yelp
This place is what you need it to be -- serious comfort food, open late, and more palatable than many of the alternatives. The food arrives after a few minute of ordering -- wish it was quicker, but that might reduce the quality. The Rooster is a great buy for $7. Some of the other sandwiches are $1-$2 less but only half the size. The chili cheese fries are exactly what you hope them to be -- disgustingly awesome. Can't say I'd come here in the daytime for a casual meal, but that's not what this joint is for
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
I've had their awesome, unhealthy food before at the Sheffield location, where the only places to sit are three small tables outside. So I never went back. Now Devil Dawgs are sprouting up like weeds. I'm very protective of Belmont/Sheffield, and constantly bemoan the changes here in recent years. However Devil Dawgs is a good addition to the hood. They have veggie dogs that can go with any of the dog styles. This is a southern slaw veggie dog. It's probably my favorite veggie dog in the city. Their fries are also ridiculous. 5 stars for the veggie options and good prices
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
oh boy. there are just certain things restaurants should be upfront about. the main one is ingredients in their food. I went to grab a vegan hot dog and a side of fries one night. I was barely able to get through the hot dog, but it was very good. as I was actively shitting my brains out later, I knew there must be something awry. I soon learned the french fries are fried in beef fat. a place that serves vegetarian and vegan hot dogs on a menu, fries their side item in beef fat. remember when a huge corporation that started with Mc and D did that ? I wanted to make sure, so i got the reply "the fries do not have soy as they are completely cut fresh and no preservatives but we do fry in beef fat. thank you for the inquiry Kindly DenaB" thanks for the poops!
google avatar

Joel G.

Yelp
Great dog, great fries, great interior and great staff. The sport peppers are the bomb!
google avatar

Bobblehead B.

Yelp
Great fries! Great staff. Incredibly, the hot dogs are not hot enough. Street parking only, and it is limited to 15 minutes with car blinkers on by the City. This place has the potential to be a legendary Chicago hot dog joint. Heat up the hot dogs!!

Andrew B.

Yelp
Want a Chicago Dog, go here. Fast, fresh, hot. My son is vegetarian and said the vegetarian version was the best he's had.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
New to Lakeview- we went here twice within 24 hours. First night we both got chicago hotdogs (super yummy), a bag of fries (really good!) and ranch (eh) and honey mustard (the best sauce!!). The next day we went back to try their sliders which were amazing and my favorite thing to get now. We also tried the onion rings which weren't really that great :/. They also have the really good ice (like sonics). Super good and super cute on the inside. Staff is also super nice :) Location is also right off the L so it's a perfect stop right after work.
google avatar

Josey T. W.

Yelp
Ate here for first time ever this past night after watching Mark Normand at The Vic! I had the Sig Ep (hot dog with bacon, chilies, pickle and grilled onions), a bag of tater tots and peach iced tea! Everything was DEEEELICIOUS!! The service was quick and smooth too! Tough to get a table though on a late Friday night -- this place was packed and obviously hella-popular! Young diverse city crowd; good people watching! Loved the cool urban street art wall murals! I'd definitely come back here!!
google avatar

The Chicago Diva T.

Yelp
My go-to for a greasy smash burger! Yummy! The fries are just as delicious! Like the old school days of Demon Dogs (if you are from Lincoln Park!) I love the hot dogs too! The service is fast and the price is very reasonable!
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Solid spot for hot dogs and other tubular meats in a town that takes sausage very seriously. I love Chicago dogs more than any other so their rendition hit just the right marks. The pickle is large and the other toppings are equally measured out to create a perfect bite every time. I love that they're generous with the sport peppers. They add such a lovely spice and crunch to the dog. I even tried the chicago polish which was even larger except comprised of mostly grilled onions and peppers. I preferred it slightly. Nonetheless, both were well worth the bus trip from downtown. Along with Chicago classics they have flavor combinations from around the country as well as hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and a plethora of sides. This is the kind of place that I'd frequent multiple times per month if I lived there. Everything was well done. Give it a shot!
google avatar

Annemarie H.

Yelp
My goodness I am crazy obsessed with you! The shakes ok they are BOMB like BOMMB. But the coleslaw hotdog and the Chicago dog are bonkers amazing!!!!!! Pretty incredible price too. One suggestion... you really should get a hotdog with creamy peanut butter and maybe a pepper jam. Or maybe a peanut butter hotdog with bacon! Name it's the ANNEMARIE lol or serve me The first one when you test one out and realize that it's a game changer... yes I definitely deserve the first one! Keep killing it guys!!!!
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
Great dog, any variety you like, plump and juicy. Onion rings were great, fries less so. Not super speedy, but a neat vibe.
google avatar

Alecia G.

Yelp
Rude as hell at this location in particular. I mistakenly placed an order online for pickup at the wrong location. I realized immediately and called within seconds of placing the order to cancel. I apologized and explained my mistake to the girl that answered the phone and asked her if she could cancel the order. She says "ok" and hangs up in my face. Five days later and still no refund. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company.
google avatar

Paola R.

Yelp
Had it delivered so I didn't get the full experience but I will say, it's better than Portillo's (Portillo's is still good but Devil Dawgs is definitely better imo)
google avatar

Marissa P.

Yelp
So I don't love hot dogs, but I like them. I went here late night (soberly) and ordered a Seoul hot dog with a poppyseed bun and it was SO good! I fell in love! I will definitely be back to try this again. Also weirdly enough they have the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in my life... I was a bit hesitant as they are so close to the Belmont stop but I was in awe. Their location is perfect if you want to get off the train, go next door and get back on with your food. Will be back again to try the multiple types of hot dogs! Maybe I will learn to love hot dogs.

Yelp
I was scouting the area for a quick bite to eat, and Devil Dawgs caught my eye. It's right beside the metro link station, so it's super convenient. I ran in and perused the menu. There were an assortment of fun ideas to do with hot dogs and burgers, and I wanted something different. I had already had a Chicago Dog at Wrigley earlier in the trip, so I wanted another variation on the hot dog theme. Boy did I find it! The Nate Dawg was a burst of flavors on the palate that on paper don't seem to make sense, but on your taste buds come together quite nicely. Service was quick. I got a bag of fries to go with it, and the serving is overly generous. I was thankful that while their fountain drinks were Pepsi products, they had Coke products in a separate case which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommend for a fun and different spin on hot dogs!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Never heard of this place but apparently they've got quite a few locations in Chicago. For good reason! Amazing shakes, onion rings, and the coney dog and Chicago polish we got were delicious and totally hit the spot. Really great price for what you get! I'll probably be coming in many more times since it's really close to the Belmont station.
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
Good dogs! Excuse me, I means dawgs...definitely worth a visit. My favorite is Nate's dawg which has peanut butter and sriracha and grilled onions. Sounds weird but it's amazing. My friend who didn't want to try it but eventually gave in said,"wow, okay, you were right." I have had plenty of their dawgs and honestly they are all good. Oh and their Elvis slider is good too. Haven't tried their shakes but will next time. Solid place for a quick bite!
google avatar

Pat P.

Yelp
I friggin love this place. The shakes are excellent and the dogs are even better. And they're surprisngly reasonably priced for what they serve. The gourmet dawgs are about 6-8 bucks, which isn't bad IMO. I highly recommend Devil Dawgs
google avatar

Steven G.

Yelp
Glad (and possibly regretful for what it will do to my health) that they finally opened a new Devil Dawgs location closer to my home. Super clean new location with more space to move around than the others. Staff is fast and friendly. It's the same great collection of fries, hot dogs and burgers you'll get at the other Devil Dawgs locations. The dogs are modest but excellent. And, as I mentioned for the other locations, their true strength IMO are the cheese fries. MASSIVE quantity of fries and liquid cheese, and they get it right by dumping cheese in as they fill the cup with fries rather than filling the entire cup with fries and just dropping a bunch of cheese on top. Devil Dawgs nails the cheese fries: Totally get some. They're gonna get slammed on weekends if/when they stay open late, because Lakeview is the spot and this place does a great job. But in the meantime, come check it out before 10pm on other days.
