Review for brunch only -- went here on a whim on a Saturday, and perhaps we didn't order the right things, or maybe they're just better at dinner food.
To start, we got the trio of spring rolls ($12), which are three large spring rolls with different fillings - buffalo chicken, pepperoni mac and cheese, and "steak bomb". In my opinion, the one with mac&cheese was just weird, and the texture of the macaroni just didn't work in that format. The buffalo chicken was really heavy on the blue cheese, which I didn't mind but my boyfriend didn't love. We thought it could've used more spice. The steak bomb was our preferred of the three, but still not great.
We both ordered the poached eggs+bacon ($16) which comes with avo toast on cranberry pecan bread, a hashbrown, and some fruit. The avo was actually guac. It didn't taste that fresh, and I think plain avo would've worked better with the flavor of the bread -- this was too bad because the bread was actually really good. The poached eggs were a bit overcooked, and the hashbrown was almost too crispy on the outside but soft and not flavorful on the inside.
Again, it's likely we just didn't order the right things, but there really shouldn't be right and wrong things to order at a restaurant, especially at this price point. Overall, there was just too much going on with both of the dishes we tried, and the flavors weren't really harmonizing or making that much sense.
