We found this by accident. 15 minutes from our house in a town I’ve never heard of. The service was awesome and the food even better. We will be back. Thanks for an awesome date night!!!

A hidden gem. Rustic setting in a small town close to council bluffs. Great bar food. Order a bowl of soup you get a big bowl of great tasting soup. Today I had the bacon cheeseburger soup and it was outstanding. The Dew Drop Inn is right on the main street in Mcclellan. I will be going back to try their other items on the menu. Went there with 6 of my friends and they all loved it too.. great staff that makes you feel welcome.

Excellent service paired with a bartender that actually knows the menu and the items on it. Definitely has a nice small-town atmosphere and I'll be back again. Prices are very reasonable as I had a full meal with add-ons and an adult drink for less than $20.

This is what it's all about. On a whim I decided to try the local flavor here in Iowa and the Dew Drop Inn did not disappoint! Extremely reasonably priced diner menu and atmosphere straight out of my childhood in the seventies and eighties. Hubcaps and vinyl records plaster the walls and vintage beer ad memorabilia take you back to a simpler , better time. The owner is genuinely friendly like your best friend or your family from your own hometown. Oh yes and by the way, this jewel of an establishment is nestled in the smallest beautiful town that you wish that you lived in! I didn't know places like this still existed in our country. Makes me proud to live in the USA. You should stop by right now!

Yelp
I've been here a number of times over the years, most recently this past weekend, and it's a good experience every time. The prices are good and the employees are always nice. I usually order the massive pork tenderloin but this time I decided to switch it up and order the Hot Beef with Hashbrowns, and I'm glad I did. The beef was flavorful. The gravy was good, and the hasbrowns were crispy, even under the gravy. The food was all really good, especially for $11. The interior could use some updating. Minor duct tape on some of the seats, but that doesn't detour me from going. This place is one of me and my Dad's favorite places to eat and we come out to the Dew Drop Inn once every couple months or so. A great bar/restaurant in a nice, small town. I wonder what I'll have when I venture out to McClelland again for some good food......

Yelp
My wife and I were looking to do something different to do. We both grew up in CB and always heard that Dew Drop had amazing tenderloin sandwiches so we decided to try it. We ordered fried corn fritters and gizzards for an appetizer. They were both amazing. I had the tenderloin sandwich and my wife had a cheeseburger. The tenderloin was massive and tender but what I liked the most is that the tenderloin was still thick and the breading wasn't overwhelming like some places. Anyone can pound a tenderloin flat, fry it, and make it look huge but dew drop hit the mark with this one. The burger was amazing too. They use fresh never frozen beef and it was a simply great cheeseburger. Beer was cold and cheap and the atmosphere was perfect for a small town restaurant. The bar is on one side with seating and TVs and the other side has tons of seating, arcade games, and the wall is lined with old vinyl records making for an awesome vibe. We'll definitely be back! One thing to note is credit cards get an extra 4% charge but I didn't mind since it's a small local establishment I totally understand. Prices are also super reasonable. Please check it out for yourself. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Can't beat all of the delicious food for what you pay for. The servings are huge and the beer is cold!

Yelp
So in my continuing quest to try locally-owned diners or cafes, my travels today brought me here. The previous Yelp reviews were spot on! The place was busy when I got there - packed full of locals on their lunch breaks. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but was the type of "joint" I enjoy - friendly folks, clean environment and home cooking. So I saw some reviews before about the Hot Beef and while they definitely offered theirs with Mashed Potatoes, they also offered the Hot Beef Sandwich with hashbrowns. I couldn't resist. Food came out fresh and piping hot. The whole thing was smothered in Gravy (my favorite) but yet the hashbrowns remained crispy underneath....yummy! Large serving was a plus and allowed me plenty of leftovers. If you are ever in the area or want a nice short drive from Omaha, definitely visit!

Yelp
Nice people, good food in a casual atmosphere great for families will definitely go back

Yelp
The Dew Drop has been feeding and entertaining hungry farmers, local residents, patrons from 10 small towns around, and even some regulars who make the drive 6-12 times a year from Omaha and other distant locations. It's not just that Keith and his wife serve great food with a determination to please, but once a visitor, always a friend. Locals welcome new visitors and conversations range from quiet to extra lively. Drinks are good, the beer is cold but beware, a row of beers may stack up in front of you you if you join a conversation because everyone tends to get a round for their table...or more once on regular needs a beer, so be careful or bring a DD. The Dew Drop Inn is Small Town USA at its very best. If you're a stranger for more than 20 minutes, it's on you. Week nights might be quieter but Friday and Saturday are busy especially as the evenings progress. EVERYONE is safe and welcome from age 1 month to 100 in McClelland, IA.

Yelp
Good food. Plentiful. Service is fine. Quaint bar with some biker character. I ordered a hamburger steak. A little overlooked. Another guy had chicken parm that was breaded, probably frozen. Others had a variety and said there choices were good.

Yelp
Stopped here after finding out that the Mexican place in Underwood is closed on Mondays. We had heard it was good... But it was far from that! I ordered the special which was chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and a side salad.. The salad came first and it was absolute DRENCHED in dressing I could barely eat it. And I ate very little of it. Then my meal came out. It looked good... I dug into the mashed potatoes and gravy because I love them. But they were only warm in the very middle. They tasted fine... Corn was gross overcooked canned corn. Then... The chicken fried steak... OMG! I literally almost threw up! I had to spit it out! It was cold and it tasted as if it was expired and gone rancid! If the waitress would had found time to come over and ask how we were doing.. ( But she never did.. Not once. ) I would have let her know that it was absolutely inedible! The rest of my family thought their food was just ok...they had burgers, blt, and patty melt. We wont be back.
