De.Wan 1958 truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best spots for authentic Malaysian cuisine served with style. The presentation is beautiful, from the vibrant colours of the sambal to the elegant plating of the mains. The portions are generous, and you can tell that every item is prepared with care and passion. The restaurant’s ambiance is warm and classy, making it perfect for family gatherings, celebrations, or even a casual lunch. Service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. Overall, De.Wan 1958 offers a wonderful balance between traditional taste and modern dining comfort. Definitely worth visiting if you’re craving authentic Malaysian flavours in an elevated setting.

Food was fantastic. Ordered the asam pedas, ulam-ulaman, pomelo salad, and grilled slipper lobster. Asam pedas was fantastic though it was not pedas (spicy) enough for the Malay taste. Pomelo salad was refreshing. The ulam-ulaman came with tempoyak and that was great. As for the slipper lobster, it could have been more fresh. Overall, good food, and great atmosphere and service. The staff, including Natasha, were happy to serve and were very helpful.

My son and I had lunch on Christmas Day at De.Wan 1958 at The Linc, KL. The Kerabu Pomelo with soft shell crab was an excellent starter salad: light and textured, with deep fried soft shell crab at the side. Highly recommended. The fillet assam pedas (sea bass) was delicious! The first taste of the gravy confirmed the rich assam flavour that surrounded the nicely steamed fish fillet. We had Lamb Shank Opor Hijau - it was a little too gamey for me but the sauce was interesting. All in all, we had a wonderful, visually stimulating (the presentation was great) and tantalisingly flavoured meal. We'll be back next year!

I always thought Malaysian food was sub par until I went to De.Wan 1958. This restaurant blew my mind! And I didn’t even realize it’s a Michelin rated restaurant until after dinner! We flew into Malaysia the same day we had dinner at this charming spot because it set the tone for the rest of our food trip! The menu was so diverse, but not too much tacky! I truly enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant that I’m writing a review about it!

We had our office dinner here & we were very happy with the selection of food especially the kerabu pomelo with soft shell crab & the desserts - chendol gula melaka & the som som, highly recommended. We are also very impressed by the service especially our server Mr Ayad. Very attentive & accommodating. Thank you so much for the complementary food platter.

Had an amazing dining experience at De.Wan Restaurant, The Linc! The food was absolutely superb — we tried the Ayam Salai Cili Padi and Seabass Fillet Masam Manis, both bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Love that they serve three types of rice, unlimited refills! The ambiance is cool and cozy, not too crowded — perfect for a relaxing meal. But what really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure everything was just right. Special shout-out to Ayad, who was super nice and had a great chat with us. Overall, 10/10 experience — great food, great place, and amazing people. Definitely coming back!

One of my favourite restaurants in KL so far 💯 we were greeted with such attentive staff and beautiful interior decor. The venue looked so spacious, so elegant and we felt very comfortable from the moment we walked in. Service was prompt, a waiter/waitress was always close by if you needed anything. We ordered their fried prawns (cucur udang) appetiser which is definitely NOT appetiser size 🤭 marinated beef tenderloins (similar to rendang) and nyonya asam fish. The rice “set” was also a highlight. They offer two rice mixes other than traditional white basmati which really adds depth and diversity to Malaysian cuisine.

Food choices were plenty, especially Malay dishes. Taste was good overall, quite rich and flavourful. Place is spacious and comfortable, suitable for family gathering. Price is a bit on the high side but acceptable. Came during peak hour so it was quite crowded. Thanks Natasha in recommending foods to us i.e. asam pedas ikan jenahak, ayam tomato prune, kari hijau salted egg prawns, cucur udang. Overall a good experience.
