DH Noodles & Grill is an absolute treasure for anyone craving authentic and delicious Chinese classics. Every dish bursts with bold flavors and comforting spices, reminding me of traditional meals straight from a Chinese kitchen. Their variety of noodles is unmatched — from hand-pulled to stir-fried, each one is cooked to perfection and pairs beautifully with their savory sauces. The beef and lamb dishes are especially outstanding — tender, juicy, and packed with rich, mouthwatering flavor. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty noodle bowl or a sizzling plate of grilled meat, DH Noodles & Grill delivers a satisfying and memorable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for truly great Chinese food!

Google
First review, I’m from Northwest China, and so happy to finally find a taste of home here in the Bay Area! The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the broth is rich and flavorful. I especially recommend their lamb kebabs, cumin lamb, and house-made yogurt. Everything tastes so good! 👍 Definitely be coming back often!

Google
I come to the store multiple times a week to have a bowl of their signature Lanzhou noodles to go. The packaging is nicely done. I just have to heat up the soup by 1 minute in the microwave, and put all of the ingredients in. I have a delicious lunch in front of me in literally 2 minutes. Everything is fresh, from the noodles, beef to the cilantro. The soup is a rich bone broth with a nice spice blend. This is a must try if you have not tried before.

Google
Service was top notch. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The food is good. Noodles were perfect. Until I found an insect leg (cockroach) in my soup. Ruined my appetite and night. We still paid our bill. They offered us free drinks but were so offended to take it.

Oliver Wang

Google
I come here regularly and always enjoyed the Lanzhou beef noodles. The beef was tender and well-cooked, and the broth had an authentic taste. The handmade noodles were silky and paired well with the broth and beef. The service was warm and attentive. If you’re looking for a good meal, I recommend trying their Lanzhou beef noodles.

Google
The traditional Lanzhou beef soup noodle is very tasty and authentic. The restaurant decoration is modern and nice. I come here often with my family. The children look the food as well.

Google
Great spot for Lanzhou style Chinese food. Large portions, competitive pricing, and delicious food. The "meat lovers" diy bowl is pretty entertaining. they bring a bowl of meat and a plastic glove and you get one chance to get as big a handful of meat to throw in your soup.

Google
Lamb in Basin 水盆羊肉 is really really good. I want them to keep this item. The soup is not oily but really really tasty. And the materials including lamb and verities of vegetables are well balanced and nutritious. And also other menus are very good 👍👍👍definitely one of our favored restaurants that we must go 2-3 times in a month.

Yelp
Excellent food! I wasn't realize they do have free refills plum drink too! It is nice cool me down in this hot day.

Yelp
Wanted to add to my review - as I've come back multiple times bringing out of town family and friends and I now have more favorite dishes!! Their lamb dry noodles with the triangular noodles! HUGH HIT with EVERYONE we bring - the triangular noodles are perfect with that delicious sauce with all that delicious cumin flavor... We also got the lamb skewers!! SO GOOD - so tender with SO MUCH flavor!! Their cold spicy cucumbers are also now a huge hit with family - if you like having that "heat" against the cold crunchy of the cucumber - this is a dish for you!! And another dish we tried was their spicy sesame paste noodles. Oldest loved it - for me it was okay - I think my taste buds got used to the bold flavors and texture of the dry lamb noodles - definitely our go to! In fact my BIL was contemplating getting another "to go" so he'd have it when he went back up the peninsula LOL... LOVE LOVE this place - definitely my noodle "go to" place!

Yelp
**3.5, rounding up. Review is for the chicken and lamb dishes.** Place seems very popular, there were 10 parties ahead of us when we went to dine in on Sunday afternoon. Restaurant is not very large, tableside QR code based ordering system in place like most restaurants these days. I frankly struggle with it as I like to replace the meat in their popular dishes with chicken as that's my protein of choice. Service was indifferent. So we got- **potato spiral- 3.5/5- This was actually pretty delicious, think of it like French fries but much better thanks to the cumin based seasoning. It was very salty though. **chicken noodles- 3.5/5 The fresh noodles were delicious. Not sure if it was cross contamination but there was a mix of thin and thick noodles in the dish. The chicken was soft and beautifully cooked. But, the overall seasoning fell a tad bit short, I was craving flavor and heat. **cumin lamb skewers-3/5 There were tough pieces of lamb. **dry noodles with cumin lamb-4/5 We ordered these with the triangular noodles. The texture was truly fascinating and I could see the sauce holding up really well because of the unique shape. The sauce it came with was delicious and the lamb in this case was soft and well cooked.

Yelp
Stopped by as I was craving some beef noodle soup. The noodles were cooked well and the dish also came with tender braised beef and bok choy. I do wish the beef had more of a beef flavor. They have QR codes to order off the menu and the service was pretty quick. Overall, a good experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I thought this place was decent. It reminded me of Lanzhou ox 9 noodles but with more selections. You could pick your noodles. The staff were attentive as well and were nice. I recommend the braised beef noodle soup. It was flavorful and decently priced for the area.

Yelp
I enjoy coming here for noodles and their lamb ribs. The food is super flavorful and hearty. This spot is great for both lunch or dinner. The shop is clean and comfortable.

Yelp
Giant bowl size of noodle, too many to choose from. Waiter and waitress are all speak Mandarin not very well English. But we navigate pretty well with our limited Chinese . Price is not high, we even packed to go. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
I am so glad I got to finally try out this place. Every time I visit HMart, the pictures of the food on the window seems so attractive. I am very happy to have visited and try this place with my partner. The restaurant has plenty of seating on the weekend with lovely decorations that resemble of Chinese legends from the inside. Their menu has a vast selection of items that can be obtained through the QR Code. The place is spotless and is welcoming to families with kids. Even the kids enjoy the food here. I bought the braised beef noodles. The food preparation was 10 minutes. They have different noodle types you can get. The flat noodles were okay, but if I were to go here again, I think the thin noodles would taste better. Thank you for the amazing food and fast service. I'll definitely come here again!

Yelp
I was quite hesitant to try it at first since I'm not a big fan of beef noodles, but I was pleasantly surprised when I came here. The beef noodles are chewy, and the broth is rich and flavorful. The other dishes besides noodles are also satisfying. Original Lanzhou Beef Noodle - 4/5: The noodles are particularly chewy, feeling like they were hand-pulled. The broth is slightly milky, rich, and delicious. Pork Hamburger - 5/5: The shredded pork inside is tender and juicy, while the outer bun is slightly crispy. The only downside is the small portion size. Lamb Kebab - 4/5: The lamb is perfectly balanced between fatty and lean meat, generously coated with cumin and other spices. Every bite is filled with the rich aroma of lamb. Dh Lamb Pilaf - 5/5: I absolutely love this lamb pilaf. The rice seems to include carrots, raisins, and cumin, which enhance the rich, fragrant lamb flavor and make it irresistible. The accompanying lamb on the bone is cooked until tender and falling off the bone, loved by both adults and children. The shredded potato side dish is also quite good. I will definitely visit again next time to try other dishes.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening because my mom was craving soup noodles. We got seated right away around 6pm. As the evening progressed, there was a 5-10 minute wait for a table. Ordered from a QR code at each table - very efficient. Servers are also very nice and pleasant. We ordered: - beef scallion roll: nice crunch and paired well with the black vinegar and chili oil at each table! - lanzhou beef noodles: came with beef, rolled eggs, carrots, and regular noodles! Very hearty and flavorful - dried hand pulled noodles: sesame/nutty sauce noodles with beef and bok chiy. Very yummy! Overall I highly recommend and I will be coming back. The noodles are very chewy and clearly handpulled, and the flavor of each dish hit just right

Yelp
Generally good food. The beef pancakes, diy beef noodle, traditional Lanzhou beef noodle were all pretty good. The beef pancakes have really thin and flavorful outer shell. The beef inside was cold though. A little disappointing. The noodles for all the soups were chewy and fresh. The lamb one was pretty bad. Lamb was too gamy and didn't seem fresh. The sesame sauce cold noodles were the highlight. Service as fast and to the point. It was very busy and I would say it is a solid joint. Just avoid the lamb noodles.

Yelp
A fun interactive experience & authentic freshly made noodles of multiple shapes. We got in close to closing around 30 min and service was prompt/friendly we ordered the noodles and got the thickest noodles, they were all thoroughly cooked which is usually the hardest part. Flavors were good & customizable spicy options. There is a bit of a kick so be mindful of this. The affordability is good too portions were large! We didn't get a chance to eat the beef scallion wrap but hear that's a good option too.

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience. Called ahead and my ready was ready for pickup within 10 minutes. Parking is available inside the private lot or on the street. Some staff wore black disposable gloves and all staff wore aprons. Some staff were smoking above a metal dust bin next to the dumper with a plastic rubbish bag...that may be a fire waiting to happen... The braised beef wide noodle soup was tasty. The noodles came uncooked and required a 20-25 second cooking before dipping with the soup and meat. The vegetables and crushed garlic were placed separately inside the container. The spicy lamb chops were flavorful and meaty, although on the pricier side at $26.99. ~$25/head after tax with plenty of leftovers.

Yelp
This is quite a different "Chinese" menu. It's more Cantonese than mandarin. Def more authentic and tasted good, however if you're craving fried rice it's not on the menu! There are more lamb options, just steamed rice and noodles. It's quite a cozy place and we certainly enjoyed the two dishes we ordered.

Yelp
Ordering at DH Noodles is so easy and efficient. You scan a QR code and a menu pops up with photos of every dish. The process was fun and almost overwhelming because everything looked so good! I recommend the stir fry cabbage and the spicy sesame paste noodles. I didn't enjoy the cumin lamb noodles as much. I also recommend the mung bean noodles with Sichuan sauce!

Yelp
I like Get the Lanzhou noodle soup. Fresh noodles customized to your preferred size. Broth is relatively light but pretty fire with the chili oil. Beef is tender (although I would have been happy with a bit more). And it's only $15 - awesome value

Yelp
I got the lanzhou noodle soup with lamp and the spicy chicken noodles. I loved both of them and I was able to customize the spice level for the noodles. None of the dishes felt overly greasy. The restaurant looks new, clean and the service was great! You can choose anywhere to sit and order on the QR code at the table. The food comes fairly quickly. Free parking the plaza.

Ellie K.

Yelp
Went there with my friend and the noodles were amazing. They offer different noodle thickness options, and I chose the medium thickness. The beef noodle soup was excellent. We also ordered some shareable dishes -- the lamb and cucumber were both delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the yogurt smoothie. It's not sweet at all, very addictive, and pairs perfectly with the spicy noodles. I'll definitely visit again with my family

Yelp
This restaurant is very authentic!! The fried noodle is very delicious!! Recommend anyone who likes noodle to try it!

Yelp
The ambiance here is great, the lamb is tender and flavorful, and the hand-pulled noodles are perfectly chewy. The service is excellent. I highly recommend trying the yogurt!

Yelp
Loved the spicy lamb chop and cumin lamb fried noodle the most. The service was overall very good. The place got crowded pretty fast. Be careful when walking, the floor was a bit sticky and oily.

Yelp
Ordered online. Lamb skewers (5) - I was shocked at how small the portion size was for this based on pictures I had seen online. It looked like a pile of peanuts in a box. We had a good laugh about it but there was probably less than 8 small pieces for $14 The rest of my order felt the same. Tiniest portions I've ever seen and we spent $100+ for 4 I was going to type out the rest of my order but I can't be bothered. TLDR don't order online from this place unless you want to go hungry and have a hole in your wallet

Yelp
Wow DH noodles and grill really surprised me! I am always in need of noodle soups in the winter, so I came here on a cold day with my partner. We got there right around noon which was good bc it got quite busy after that. I got the braised beef noodle soup with wide noodles, and he got some dry cumin lamb noodle dish with extra wide noodles. I will say the dry noodles isn't the typical dry noodles you think of. It's still quite saucy like almost the amount of sauce you'd expect with a pasta, so just know that before you order it. My braised beef noodle soup was really good! Soup was flavorful and the beef was super tender. I didn't love the wide noodles (They were kinda like the width of fettuccine), but the extra wide noodles were really good. They had such a good chew and texture to them. Service was also super nice!

Yelp
New restaurant in town. It replaced a Xi'an restaurant IIRC. They seem to be doing great so far. The place was mostly packed. Luckily we didn't have to wait to be seated but there was a line out the door by the time we left. There seems to be no physical menu. There's a QR code on the table to scan. I wonder what happens to people who don't have phones The kids split a non-spicy beef noodles. We got the thin noodles but then also added a side of extra wide noodles for them so they got to try both. Seemed like the wide noodles was preferred. Pro-tip: You can ask for a pair of scissors The noodles are really really long. Wifey and I shared a Big Plate of Chicken. No really, that's what it's called. And guess what? Yup, it's a big plate of chicken. Mostly dark meat. There's also potatoes, onions, peppers and some wide noodles at the bottom. Very hearty and tasty dish. Could definitely use extra noodles with it though. We also tried the sweet and sour ribs. I'd say we'd probably skip that next time. Not bad, but nothing special. All in all, a worthy addition to the H-mart shopping plaza.

Yelp
It's interesting that restaurant at this location kept on changing but they have almost always been Chinese noodle places. The latest reincarnation is a Chinese Northwestern style noodle place. I don't know whether this place is rated kosher or halal but traditonally this style of restaurants are operated by Chinese Muslims but I can't vouch for this particular restaurant. I like the noodle and lamb kebabs here. The noodles are pulled noodles (lamian) and technically that's that the ra in ramen (done by Chinese immigrants to Japan) came from. I like that they serve them with spice by default. I dislike other places that you have to tell them to add spiciness because it's akin to ordering a cheeseburger and has to tell them to add cheese. The place is smaller than it looks from outdoor mostly due to the irregular floorplan but I wouldn't say it's super crowded. You'll probably have more trouble finding parking because it's right next to hmart and the parking spots are notoriously small. There are a lot of choices for noodle thickness and I can vouch for normal. The super skinny ones are not as chewy. This is a noodle place make sure you order noodles. The lamb kebabs is also good as I mentioned but I wish it's fattier. I'll come try the chicken next time. You order through the phone so you don't have to wait for waiter.
google avatar

Liz B.

Yelp
Great beef noodle soup and I also like the variety of noodle shapes (wide and triangle were the best). We also got a diy bowl, where they bring out a big bowl of meat and you get to take as much as you can fit in one hand (with gloves on)
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
I love this place!!! Great spot for some classic Northern Chinese noodle dishes. I tried the Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, which was perfectly flavored for me. A nice clean and clear beef broth that was well-seasoned with plenty of chili oil (not too spicy). I ordered the thin noodles, which were perfectly cooked and clearly handmade. My friends got the wide noodles and loved them too. I highly recommend! Service is very quick too.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered online and picked up my order at the time it was estimated to be ready by. Lots of parking in the back and the location is in a clean strip mall. The staff was courteous. The restaurant had a good smell of spices and was full. That's a good sign people like the food. There was a buy one get one free deal, so I tried 2 of those. The soup was very flavorful and hand pulled noodles were not too firm and not too soft. There was a decent portion of meat and cilantro, etc.. in there. Overall very tasty noodle house with decent appetizers also!

Yelp
I decided to visit DH Noodles & Grill on a weekend and the wait was exactly 25 minutes for a party of two at 1:00 PM. You can only get on the waitlist once you register in-person iPad. I wish it had a Yelp reservation waitlist! The place is spacious, clean, and offers opportunities for large party dining. There were multiple groups of 8 during my short dining experience. The highlight of the meal was the two appetizers we tried - the styled pickled cucumber salad ($9.99) and the lamb kebabs (5 total) ($13.99) The cucumber salad was super refreshing on a hot day. The lamb kebabs were flavored well with cumin, peppercorn, chili powder and the fat pieces melted on the charcoal grill to form delicious, caramelized bits. I also got the signature Lanzhou beef noodles spicy ($14.99) with wide noodles. You were able to choose the thickness of the hand pulled noodles. However, I honestly did not think the noodles or the broth were better than Ox 9. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and I enjoyed how extensive their menu was. We spent around $65 after tax and tip for two noodle dishes and two appetizers. I would definitely visit to try more authentic northwestern Chinese specialities like their lamb hamburger and big plate chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered To-go twice. The sizes are 2/3 of average at the most. Being unfair is not the right way to do business.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
You get a lot of food. It's all cooked well. But seasoning wise it tastes like little lamb hot pot seasoning which is an issue for all of the Chinese chains in the Bay imo. Does not have the nuance of Northern flavors for big plate chicken or the lamb hot pot. Everything was too salty for my palate and there wasn't enough ginger, scallion and other northern spices im the soup or lamb to even out the flavors and balance the gaminess of the lamb. The belt noodles for the big plate chicken was also perfunctory at best, machine made so not the right chew and slightly rubbery. Everything is very efficient but would recommend Northwestern in fremont or taste good beijing in cupertino/milpitas for proper northern lamb flavors

Yelp
DH Noodle & Grill is conveniently located in a popular shopping plaza right next to H Mart. So after your H Mart run, you can come here for your noodle fix. We visited during their soft opening and were really impressed. You can order via QR code on your phone or there is a physical menu. The website is straight forward, easy to use, and features photos. They offer a lot of options like dumplings, steamed buns, noodle soups, stir fry dishes, and even dessert. The food took about 5-6 minutes to come out which was really fast and impressive. We came during the soft opening so they were kind enough to give us steamed buns and steamed pork buns on the house for us to try. The pork bun was super flavorful, with each bite you get a strong soy saucey flavor with the meaty pork. The steamed bun was plain but surely fluffy and soft like a good basic bread. *The lanzhou spicy beef noodle soup was fabulous and incredibly aromatic. The soup base was slightly sweet and just mildy spicy to me with notes of peppercorn that danced around my tongue. I ordered wide noodles but it wasn't as wide as I expected. Next time I would order extra wide. Now the noodles were super soft and tender. The beef was soft and not too fatty. The cilantro really adds that freshness and crunchy texture. *Cumin lamb fried noodle was decent by itself but once you add their chili oil, it was SO GOOD! I ordered the original noodles and they were chewy and soft. The flavor was on the milder blander side, but the cumin just hits you in the face. If you're a fan of cumin and lamb, this dish is for you. *Shrimp and chives dumplings- I enjoyed the chili oil sauce that came on the side. The vinegar added that zest and cut of acidity that really adds that strong contrast in flavor. The shrimp was snappy and slightly sweet. A noodle chart or some kind of visual would be a great addition so that customers know what kind of noodle they would want to order. In comparison to QQ Noodle which is my favorite noodle spot, DH is different because they offer more selection in terms of sides/appetizers and more noodle options. The noodles here don't have that chewy QQ texture, but instead they are silky soft and tender. I do feel like DH has more depth of flavor as well and is much cleaner than QQ. Its safe to say that I will be a regular here from now on.

Tao Z.

Yelp
The lamb and traditional beef hand-pulled noodle are both very good. I asked for extra beef which was worth it.

Yelp
We were in the mall here for something else and saw that this new place was having a soft opening. We wandered over to check the menu when one of the waitresses roped us in. We decided to try it out and I'm glad we did Had the chicken fried noodles and the eggplant dish. Both were extremely flavorful. Had the wide noodles which were very long and just right soft/firmness and texture. The sauce and chicken were perfect no wanted to just keep on eating it. The eggplant dish was also delish! Lots of garlic in a good way. And the sauce was again really good Service was quite good though you still order via QR code / online. The only problem was the menu doesn't always say what kind of protein comes with the dish. So if you don't want pork or beef it can be hard to figure out your options. One nice thing is you get to choose the type of/ size of noodle for each dish (at least for the one I had) Will try it again

Yelp
Checked out this new spot. They make you order with the online menu with a QR code on the table. I personally fine those menus annoying. I'd rather have a physical menu and a waiter to talk to. We tried 3 dishes for lunch Pickled Cucumber Salad (spicy). They give you a generous portion. Has a little bit of spice to it. Not as much as I would have expected. And has a distinct ginger taste to it. Very good and different from other cucumber salads I've had. Original Lanzhou Beef Noodles (not Spicy) with thick noodles. They let you choose from 5 or so different types of noodles. The broth was delicious. Savory, like comfort food. Noodles were also really good. I'm curious what the other noodles are like. Braised Lamb Shoulder with wide Noodles (spicy). They list this item with 2 chili peppers. It is spicy. But it's not THAI spicy. Definitely manageable for most people unless you can't take any spice. Really recommend this dish with a few caveats. Pricey for the amount of food you good. I Feel like this dish needs more noodles. Also there are of a lot of small bones in lamb. But very good dish. Highly recommend. We will definitely come back for more.

Yelp
The food was delicious and such a great find! If you love eating at different Chinese food places, you should definitely try this restaurant. It has a modern aesthetic mixed with traditional Chinese art. You MUST try the spicy lamb noodle. If you're wary of spice like me, the "two chili" -rated lamb dish was more like a level 1 on the Thai Spice level. You can also add spicy chili oil to taste which was perfect for me. The eggplant dish was a great appetizer and very garlicky. Perfect. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the dressing was also on the sweet side and hard to pull apart. We had to ask for scissors. The beef noodle soup can be ordered with different sizes of noodle length. Everything's ordered through phone and service was fast.

Yelp
Super flavorful, the noodles are chewy and not mushy. The quantity is pretty good for the price Recommend this dish 大盘鸡

Yelp
We came on their first day of soft opening. It wasn't too busy on a Friday night, got seated right away. We ordered the original Lanzhou Beef Noodles (not spicy) with the regular choice of noodles and really enjoyed it. The soup base was delicious. The noodles were the right chewiness. Service was delightful. The owner came by and gifted each table pork scallion steamed buns although they're called 小籠包 on the Chinese menu. They're not XLBs. We also got their cucumbers, it has a mustard taste and it's spicy. A delightful addition to the Hmart plaza

Yelp
Service was top notch. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The food is good. Noodles were perfect. Until I found an insect leg (cockroach) in my soup. Ruined my appetite and night. We still paid our bill. They offered us free drinks but were so offended to take it.

Yelp
Stopped in after noticing people enjoying fresh noodles. The food was great with some dishes spicy and others not spicy. Clean looking place with good service. The only problem it gets busy during rush out.

Yelp
New open with good taste bun free. Many Chinese tranditional northwest noodles can choice

Jeremy Y.

Yelp
With 4.2 stars this place did not live up to expectations. Started w/ beef roll and bok choy as appetizers. Beef roll had somewhat plain flavor and fried exterior was a bit too oily. However, the Bok Choy was clean and the sesame oil went well with it. My family also ordered 3 noodle soups which had decent broth flavor but the noodles were disappointingly gummy for a place with 拉面(pulled noodles) in the name. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
We had the plain beef noodles, a chicken dish plus lamb satay. The beef noodles is too bland, the chicken dish is kind of like curry but it's not curry? The lamb satay taste is fair. Service was ok.

Yelp
Was here on the day of grand opening. Quite impressed with the food quality--genuine flavor and generous portion size. Price is reasonable. Generally a place worth going!

Yelp
Complimentary XLB - soft open promotion. Clean and well lit, service was friendly and food promptly served.
