A Coffee-Obsessive’s Guide to Drinking the Best Coffee in Vancouver | Bon Appétit

"I wandered into Di Beppe while waiting for Juice Bar to open. Di Beppe looks straight out of a Roman alley, worn tile floor and all, with a slicker modern dining room next door. The food is confident but not flashy; think phenomenal pizzas, bright salads, and well-executed pastas." - ByChris Morocco

The octopus salad was delicate, but I thought the vinegar was too strong. Carbonara was well executed. Pizza crust was too chewy and thick, and the pasta with tomato sauce was nothing to write home about. Tiramisu has way too much alcohol.

Google
The pizza bread was very crunchy and fresh! The spaghetti had a chewy and delicious texture, although it would be even better if the sauce were less sour. The meatballs met my expectations as well. I must say, I absolutely love their coffee!

I’ve been very excited to check out this place! Food was flavourful, we ordered pizza and pasta because my wife and I were missing Italy. Unfortunately I can’t say that it was my favourite Italian place in town even though I wanted it to be since the atmosphere and the setting is great! One of the major reasons why I don’t see myself coming back any time soon is because even though we saw many tables available and ready and only 20% of the restaurant was filled with customers it still took our host 15 minutes to sit us down, he came up twice saying that the table is almost ready even though the tables were ready. Our waitress was very kind but forgot our pasta until my wife asked her if our pasta is still coming. Waitress apologized but I still think it affected how pasta was made since the flavour wasn’t spot on for Cacio e Pepe. Some time in the future we will give it another chance!

We made reservations for a dinner party for 10 people and Di Beppe was able to accommodate for us, including pre-planning the menu. It was $50pp for food and there was a lot of food for our party. Great service and setting to sit at the cafe side as it felt almost like a private room. Definitely recommend for large parties or special events.

Google
I had the prosciutto cotto pizza and asked for arugula on top — it was a great combination and tasted really nice. Adding a bit of chili oil really boosted the flavor of each slice and took the experience to the next level. For dessert, I had an espresso and tiramisu — both were excellent

Had a fantastic dining experience at this spot! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were super helpful with their wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal. Both the pizza and pasta were delish – overall, a top-notch evening.

If you’re daring enough to explore the Downtown Eastside, Di Beppe is hidden in a charmingly rustic old building that’s seen its share of stories perfectly matching their slogan: “A young Italian restaurant with an old Italian soul.” The pepperoni pizza with fungi is delicious, and the meatballs with bread for dipping in marinara was pretty good. The place has a cozy, slightly rough aroun the edges vibe that makes you feel like you’re getting a warm Italian hug in the middle of a rough area of Vancouver. Great food, great charm, just keep an eye on the street and your pizza! 🍕

Google
First time here and all went well. They were busy so we took our place at the bar. I had a pilsner with my pepperoni and mushroom pizza. My wife and son both ordered lasagna. Everybody was pleased with their choices. If you are near Gastown, definitely stop by this Italian restaurant. Very nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Stopped by Di Beppe for a mocha and loved the cozy atmosphere. The window seat was a perfect spot for journaling, working, or just people-watching--it added a unique charm to the experience. The mocha itself was rich and well-balanced, not overly sweet, with a smooth espresso base. I haven't tried their food yet, so I can't comment on the service, but the ambiance alone makes me want to return. Looking forward to coming back for a full meal!

Yelp
Overall, this is a very beautiful restaurant. Casual. The service was wonderful. I love the variety they have on the menu plus a few vegan items for those who are vegan/dairy free. Hard to find that at an Italian restaurant. I tried a small portion a pizza. The one I had was the 'basil pesto, caramelised onion, artichoke and kale (VG)'. It was good but I think it just needed extra flavour to it. The only real flavour I was getting was from the pesto basil. Overall good experience and I'd love to be back to try some other dishes out.

Yelp
Went here while we were visiting Vancouver and this was the best italian i've had in awhile! Super fresh, amazing sauce!! The pizza and pasta was fantastic! We will definitely come back when we visit. Service was also great!

Yelp
Great classic Italian food in the heart of a simplistic Gastown space. Yep! Enter through the quaint cafe and go through to the back where the restaurant sits. Staff is very mellow and honestly quite funny. This is not a stiff spot. Relax, be loud, enjoy, no frills. Food is large and prices are what you'd expect. The lasagne was clean, no mess or oil leakage, with a crispy top layer of cheese. Deceptively filling. The meatballs appy were melt in your mouth. Recommend for a casual date night or unwinding with friends.

Yelp
Di Beppe has a special place in my heart for serving my favourite carbonara in town. Located in gastown, place had a pretty casual vibes, though I do recommend making reservation just in case. Service was pretty friendly. Carbonara ($28) 9/10 When it comes to pasta, I honestly like mine super traditional, which is what I found in Di Beppe. Good ol' carbonara the way it's meant to be with perfect consistency every time. Could be a touch too salty. Eggplant, squash, kale, and chili ricotta ($27) 7.5/10 Love the pizza dough. Theirs is a Roman style pizza which I found to be lighter than NY pizza. Topping wise not really my favourite but pretty unique flavour combo for sure.

Yelp
Pasta la vista, baby because I will be back at Di Beppe, hopefully to eat this daily special again. It was a sublime Pesto Tomato Rigatoni with Squash and Pine Nuts ($24). From the al dente rigatoni to the creamy pesto tomato sauce to the bite of the squash and pine nuts, every flavour and texture played so well off each other. The kitchen also kindly accommodated my request for no added salt. You best believe my dish was spotless afterwards because I ate every morsel. My friends also ordered one of the kale pizzas ($27/$50) and that was delicious as well. Both portions were fairly reasonable, but between the two, I would still opt for the pasta next time. We came around 2:30pm, so we thankfully didn't wait long for a table, but I'd otherwise recommend making reservations as it does get busy. Di Beppe has both indoor and outdoor seating, providing a cozy and intimate ambience day or night.

Yelp
Can't decide between pasta or pizza for date night? Di Beppe in Downtown Vancouver has you covered! Their portions are perfect for sharing, so you can indulge in both delicious pastas and pizzas you won't wanna keep to yourself. Olive lovers, brace yourselves! Their MUST-TRY stuffed olives are a dream come true. (fennel sausage stuffed castelvetrano olives ) The pizza crust is light and crispy and holds its texture even when you reheat it. The bacon in the carbonara was the crispiest bacon I've ever had. It had a beautiful crunch to it and was surprisingly light. I highly recommend reserving a table even if you are going on a weekday because they are always busy. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Parking 4.5/5

Yelp
Best carbonara I've ever had! The crispy pork bits are fantastic too. You might consider the dish a little salty but its worth it. Nice cozy ambiance, had a long wait because we didn't make a reservation on a Friday night, but got added to the digital line and eventually sat at the bar. Really nice staff.

Yelp
Pretty solid dinner, a couple of highlights! Great spot, reasonably quiet and casual with kind and attentive servers. We ordered family style, and I think that's the best way to enjoy it. We started with the burrata with arugula and pistachio pesto, with sourdough and the meatballs. The burrata was not very value, since we got the half order which was literally half of a burrata. Though the pesto was good, I don't think this is worth ordering. The meatballs were cooked well, and the marinara is perfectly acidic. We ordered the prosciutto cotto and fennel sausage pizzas as well, and very much enjoyed them. The group's favourite was the fennel sausage, especially if you're a fan of sweet caramelized onions. We tried the amatriciana with rigatoni and the carbonara with spaghetti. The anatriciana sauce was very flavourful, though the rigatoni was a touch overcooked. The spaghetti was cooked beautifully, though the sauce was a little thicker and drier than we would have liked. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal that satisfied our craving for Italian food. After tip, our bill ended up being about $40 per person, which is quite reasonable for Italian in Vancouver.

Yelp
Went for a friend's birthday dinner and the food and service were great! A little bit on the pricey side, but the restaurant was really well decorated, albeit small. Definitely make a reservation if you are a group larger than 4.

Yelp
Had one of the most amazing meals I've had in a long time! Everything was so good, I loved the ambience and our server was so sweet! We ordered the burrata, meatballs, two pastas, a pizza and a baked eggplant involtini. So flavourful (although their tomato sauces on the meatballs and involtini were slightly too salty for my taste) !! The burrata was creamy and went well with the arugula and beets. The cacio de Pepe sauce was thick, the perfect balance of creamy and peppery and very filling. My favourites of the night were definitely the carbonara (best carbonara I've had!) - the sauce was the perfect consistency to coat the spaghetti, was the right amount of egginess with crispy bacon, as well as the fennel sausage pizza - dough was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside - with a great balance of savoury from the sausage and sweet from the onions. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Located in the middle of Gastown, Di Belle is a quaint little restaurant that provides an authentic italian experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming and went above to make sure we had a fantastic time here. I started off with the aperol spritz which served as a refreshing way to start off my dinner. It wasn't overly sweet and had the rights amount of alcohol lol it also came in a big glass. I was really impressed by cabonara. It was creamy and the flavors were delicious. It was also big enough to share between two people. My group also shared the the al metro pizza which was HUGE and came with 8 slices. I forgot which pizza I got but I found it to be a little dry and had too much crust. But it still tasted pretty good

Yelp
A cute and casual, but upscale Italian restaurant! The pasta was delectable, and very al dente...I felt like I was chewing forever, haha. Usually service is an afterthought in my reviews, but our waitress really made the experience stand out. Her wine recommendation, humor, and kindness would keep me coming back if I was a local. Can we be long distance besties?? Don't be afraid to ask for food and wine recommendations while you're here, the wine list is super detailed!
google avatar

Yelp
Really delicious and simple Italian food! Fantastic vibes and a really cute place. I totally recommend it you like authentic Italian food!
google avatar

Yelp
$30 for a pizza we were told would feed 2-4 people was not the case. Was a bummer to have to make a sandwich for myself after eating 3 small slices. As a Italian, no one should leave an Italian restaurant hungry even tho that's apparently the tread. Great staff and service, cute little space. I was really hoping to have become a fan of this place.
google avatar

Vincent S.

Yelp
Exceptional local Italian with lots of great options, and menu options. The cocktails are pretty delicious., and has great variety The dining experiences is a little bit more casual, with a café style in the front and a small tiny space in the back. If you are looking for a first date spot to impress someone this may not be suitable for you. But if you've been dating your partner for a while, I just want to get in somewhere quickly, this is a great bet. The pizza is more flatbread style with a stone oven grilled fresh flavor. Pastas are flavorful and simple. They also give a generous tiramisu as a complimentary item for any birthdays. The service was pleasant, staff were friendly and sweet. Would come back

Yelp
Bonjorno! Di Beppe, an Italian restaurant, is located in Gastown, which is part of the rough & tough Downtown Eastside or DTES. I've been wanting to check it out for awhile now & finally mustered up the courage to enter this part of town, full of druggies & people battling mental illness. If someone comes at you yelling - just keep walking! One always worries if you'll come back to your car & find a window busted up, with absolutely nothing in your car deserving of having a window smashed up to gain entry. Sign of the times. Highly recommend taking Uber to get down here. DB (opened 2017) is a charming old clay brick style restaurant that is actually 'cool like dat!' Being part of the Kitchen Table ( St. Lawrence, Pizzeria Farina & Ask For Luigi - see my reviews for all 3) group of restaurants = it's definitely in great company. The decor & texture of DB takes one on a trip to Italy for sure. You'll find at the front when you walk in a split room from the bar, deli & pastry shop to the dining area. Our small group shared a pizza - eggplant, kale, squash, chili ricotta (v) & a pasta dish - Carbonara (guanciale, pecorino, egg yolk & black pepper) - both were utterly - fantastico!!! Remember to ask for chilli oil & honey to drizzle over the pizza! Our waiter was excellent! We were definitely blown away by the taste of both - Ammazza! Grazie! Arrivederci!

Yelp
Oh pizza, thy greatest fan's name is Harry. What can I say? I love great pizzas. A friend of mine recommended Di Beppe and we were able to snag a lunch reservation while we were there. It is located in a pretty rough area but finding street parking was a breeze. The place looked very casual and homey. We had pastas, a margarita pizza, and a classic tiramisu. The rectangular shaped pizza was pretty amazing and was probably the highlight of this meal. The pastas were great but the pork flavor they used on both of the pastas we had felt overpowering and silenced other flavors in the pasts. We probably enjoyed our pastas at Ask for Luigi or Pink Door more but we still felt like Di Beppe had pretty great pasta. We want to go back and try other pastas. And definitely more pizzas!

Yelp
We aren't from this area and picked the restaurant from yelp. They gave us some Prosecco to start. Nice! We ordered a salad and pizza. It was delicious. The place was packed and everything was really good!
google avatar

Jade F.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my husband and his cousin. I made a reservation, but didn't seem like it was needed for a weekday lunch. The restaurant wasn't empty by all means, but it also wasn't packed/full. We were able to sit comfortably. The waitress was friendly and the food was great. We ordered a salad, artichoke appetizer, cacio e pepe, and margarita pizza. The flavors were there and we really enjoyed the food. The portions were substantial, so no need to worry you'll leave hungry. I had to my cacio e pepe to go so that I can enjoy the rest at a later time. I would recommend and come back to this place.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
How refreshing.. the warmest service ever, offering samples of suggested wines, incredible mouthwatering portions of salad, pizza and burrata. I wish I could keep this place as my own little secret. xo
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Pizza here is rustic crust with great flavor. I would have liked a little more selection, but I suppose you could always modify the options. The cacio e pepe pasta was okay. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, but the sauce/flavor left a little something to be desired. Our server was great and very accommodating for us. We had baby with us and they do have high chairs if needed.
google avatar

Yelp
I went here on a Friday night by myself. The space is divided between a cafe and a restaurant. The ambiance is lovely, it really feels like a European restaurant. I had the happy hour wine - not a huge fan of them serving it in what I would take to be more of a drinking glass than a wine glass. I also ordered pizza for myself and it was absolutely delicious and unique! I think a couple could share a pizza with a side dish. The service was good. All in all, a pretty great place! I am looking forward to returning and trying more dishes.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 My family and I came here to celebrate my brother's birthday and had reserved a table ahead of time which is definitely recommended since this spot gets busy, especially on weekends! As for the service, when we arrived the entrance was quite busy and it took a little bit of time for the host to greet us but the rest was pretty smooth sailing! Our waitress was super nice and attentive which was great. The restaurant has a really cute interior with quite a bit of seating, although some of it can be a bit of a tight squeeze - the 5 of us were in a booth that was pretty small which meant a lot of bumping elbows. For food, we decided to get the meter-long margherita with the bufala mozzarella, and each of us got a pasta dish as well. For the pasta, you choose your sauce and type of noodle (between spaghetti and rigatoni). Our waitress let us know that the plates are meant to be shared so might come out staggered time-wise but we were pleasantly surprised to find that everything came right at the same time. The pizza was definitely the best thing we ordered! Such a fun concept to see a meter-long pizza on your table and it was absolutely delicious. While I wouldn't say the pasta was my favourite, it was also quite good although the portion sizes were a bit small. I'd definitely come back for a date night or to try out their caffe.
google avatar

Nina T.

Yelp
We went here for a late lunch, but it took a while for us to get seated. The pasta was cooked well (al dente), but their carbonara is not something I would come back for. I'd recommend trying their other pastas instead, maybe those would be better. The pizza was pretty good - great portion as well. Maybe I just had too high expectations, but their food, overall, was just okay. I loved the vibe of the place though and might come back for a coffee or quick snack.

Aaron Brionne N.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by a local friend, and it did not disappoint! Perfect for the two of us to end a fun day exploring Vancouver. We ordered the sourdough with olive oil (possibly the best sourdough I've had), the penne carbonara, and the pepperoni & funghi pizza. Excellent across the board, but if I had to pick one, it would be the carbonara. Wonderful service and a fun casual atmosphere. We also enjoyed seeing the dishes others ordered; everything looked and smelled fantastic! Would definitely visit again!

A W.

Yelp
The food is so good, the serving sizes are comfortable. The servers are energetic and quick to suggest a nice addition to a meal. The ambience is one that is relaxed, more of a cafe vibe than a sit down. Would recommend for anyone coming from out of town or for the locals.

Andy F.

Yelp
Delicious pasta! They serve portions that are about 1.75x so sharing is a good idea. The carbonara was fantastic.
google avatar

Callista R.

Yelp
I've been to Di Beppe a few times and each time is consistently good. Great Italian spot! It is slightly on the pricier side but worth it for the quality of the food. I did try the cannoli dessert and found the taste of the cream to be odd but other than that it's a great spot for a date night or outing with friends/family.
google avatar

Paula C.

Yelp
Recently dined in one of the best places for pizza and pasta in town! Di Beppe is one of the many restaurants amongst the Kitchen Table group that truly knows how to serve up delicious Italian dishes! I ordered the Fennel Sausage, Onion, Provolone & Rosemary. It was my first time here and this pizza left me soo satisfied with the flavourful fragrant bites of fennel sausage and sweet caramelized onion that just dances in your mouth. And if you are not a pizza crust fan this place will change your mind with their perfectly cooked bubbly crust and the chilli oil they serve with their pizza! You will absolutely finish every single bite! Buonissimo!!
google avatar

Jess S.

Yelp
Wow, I absolutely adored this place! You enter their chic cafe and are taken to their "dinning area". Nice brick walls and comfortable seating. The server was exceptional! Food is exquisite and very fast. We shared the margherita with mozzarella di bufala! 6 thick slices of delicious pizza. Fresh basil, chunks of chewy cheese, and the freshest sauce. Paired that with their house made chilli oil and Bon appetite! We split the pomodoro (pera tomatoes, basil, evoo) and again, the sauce is so basic yet incredible! I would get this every time! Simple yet done perfectly! My friend got the cacio e pepe (pecorino & black pepper). Very rich and peppery! I loved how the sauce was like a glue that kept the family together! They ordered meatballs and lover them! For desert, I got the Canonoli! They were stuffed to the max! I wasn't a huge fan myself but my other friend tot the Tiramisu and she loved it! Definitely a repeat offender in my books!

Yelp
Polina has ruined my ability to eat out due to the fact that she provides unmatched service compared to anywhere else. The food was amazing and very well made and my friend and I enjoyed it very much alongside the cozy little ambiance provided by this place. We aren't from Vancouver but I would travel anywhere to find the kind of service Polina has to offer. She is one of one and every recommendation she made from the menu was spot on perfect. Again, the food was great but I would come back just for Polina. She helped us feel welcome and guided us through an excellent selection of amazing Italian accompanied by delicious drinks and dessert. If you come here you won't be disappointed and if you get Polina you won't want to leave. 10/10

Yelp
Meh. Idk.. didn't have a lot of basic dishes I would expect at an ITLIAN restaurant. Service was good though and ambiance was nice.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Do Beppe is the best Pizza in Vancouver! Every year we go to Vancouver, we head to Di Peppe. Their staff, their food and their inspired menu exceeds our expectations.

Matt D.

Yelp
Best pasta ever! I live in California, and hope to visit again someday. We ate there for lunch and dinner!
google avatar

Yelp
Di Beppe is a cozy little restaurant connected to the café side and both provide delicious items and drinks from the Italian cuisine. My friend and I came in at around 1:30PM on Monday, we were seated promptly and our server, Emma immediately came over and handed us menus. The menu is decently sized with a good number of items for each category (appetizers, pizzas, pastas, side dishes). We opted for the arugula salad, fennel sausage pizza, carbonara pasta. The salad was a quite light, almost bland - I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this light but I was expecting more acidity/sweetness/saltiness to a salad that only has 2 components and costs $16. I LOVED the pizza. It was delicious with a thick crust, yummy sausage, caramelized onions and rosemary on top. This definitely tasted better than your average fast food pizza and was worth the price it costs. Finally, the carbonara was creamy and fulfilling. Although, the flavour did not blow my mind, I do need to point out that the noodles were cooked al dente - perfect. *chefs kiss* Emma was fantastic, she came over often to check up on us and to ensure our experience was good. I would 100% come back for the pizza and good ambience. There's also tons of plugs in the booths where we sat so excellent lunch study date spot!
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
Their pizzas are non greasy and the pizza crust is quite thick. Yes the crust is fluffy but I prefer oil curst than dry fluffy heavy crust. Their pizzas have very strong flavors and unique flavors taste. Their pizzas are cooked in a stone oven. All freshly made upon order. If you order a fancy wine, they will send over a sommelier to pour the glass of wine and talk about the wine's history or location.
google avatar

Liane M.

Yelp
Ok. Full confession. WE LOVE PIZZA. And, well... we eat a lot of it. We even make it at home- homemade dough. Pizza oven. We're serious about it, folks. I have flour shipped in. But. Here's the thing. In our collective 100+ years of pizza eating, we had the BEST pizza of our lives at Di Beppe. We had to wait to get in (one hour) but by god, if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, I'll be glad I went here. Waiter was new, Adrian, but he was fabulous!! Go here. Now.
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Located in tandem with their cute corner café - the lunchtime ambiance is nice and warm. I was craving a Roman-style carbonara so was excited to try theirs. It was nice and chewy and Al Dente - sauce was rich and peppery. They offer a side of chili flakes or chili oil - I opted for the chili flakes and it helped to cut through the richness. The guanciale was over cooked though! While I may not order the carbonara again, I would probably want to come back to try other pastas and the pizza.

Yelp
Walking around on a semi warm day gets you quite parched! So when my friend suggested a cozy little hung out place, I was all up for it! You see, we've walked by this place and she mentioned how much she loves coming here. I have never been and been wanting to try it, it was a new experience for me and was all for it. Once you walked in, the sun hit the place perfectly and looked so gorgeous from the outside coming in! The place was also so beautifully decorated, it reminded me of Europe! We ordered our drinks and waited... but then saw the pastry glass and got to craving for food. It was not part of the plan. The food and the drinks were a perfect combo! I got the iced mocha and she got an iced Americano! The coffees were great! They were done extremely well! My mocha reminded me of a shot of chocolate with bursts of espresso that come through in between each sip! The place was lovely! They had so much room and food choices! It was hard to fix yourself on something, when something else looked yummy, so we got both!! I heard this place would be wonderful for lunch or dinner and would love to come back again and try those menus out! A lovely place to just enjoy the sun (if there's any) and hangout with friends! Would recommend!

Yelp
De Beppe was good and I think the pasta was worth the price! This place, however, is overpriced and if you're looking for pasta on a budget this is not it! Though my personal pasta was good, the other one and the pizza were not as amazing. I would go back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Went for Happy Hour on a weekday and was overall quite good. Nice and thoughtful wine selections, delicious burrata feature and good pasta. Overall great service and fair prices - taking a star away for the attitude of the guy in the coffee shop when we walked in. I simply asked if we could grab a seat at the (empty) bar while he was making some coffee drinks. He made a face and barked "I'll be with you you in a moment". Unnecessary

Yelp
I had high hopes for Di Beppe, but left the restaurant a little more than disappointed. A group of four of us arrived on a Tuesday evening just after 7:30pm - we did not make reservations (our bad). Promptly greeted by the hostess, we were seated at what appeared to be the restaurant's waiting area with the menus and glasses of water. We were very much hoping to sit at the 'restaurant' side of Di Beppe and were willing to wait, but the waiter INSISTED on us sitting outside at patio at a two-seater table due to the influx of reservations. Needless to say, I was staring into the restaurant at empty café tables, sipping on my pint of beer, while sniffing huge wafts of urine for 45 minutes until most of our food finally arrived... Our order: - the sopressata & anchovy pizza - pesto, potatoes, marinated octopus, arugula pizza - lasagne alla bolognese I thought all the dishes were overall just ok. The service could have been better, it could have been one of those off days. The interiors were really great. It could be a great go to spot for a coffee break. I'll have to come back to try it out.

Yelp
Edit 2.0: hey i got back guys. This time i got the Margherita with bufala mozarella and it was so damn good dont miss this. I think this is definitely the best option for the pizza. Get the smaller size because the bigger size is for party of 6 minimum i would say. The carbonara is definitely the best in town. They cured their own guanciale and portion is very good too. Would want to try the cacio e pepe next. Cheers! Edit 3.0: This time i tried the fennel sausage pizza and the amatriciana. The fennel sausage pizza was good but the margherita with bufala mozarella was definitely better so i recommend you get that one. The amatriciana was good but lupo did better but more expensive but bigger portion so definitely get the carbonara more than the amatriciana. And im back again with the tiramisu it was okay definitely not the best so lupo definitely did a better job. Cheers!

Max P.

Yelp
Ambiance: The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere. Food: The food is simply outstanding. The pizza is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the crust is delicious, and the portions are generous. Do not leave without trying the cannoli!!! Service:The service is impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and he made sure that we had everything we needed.

Yelp
Cute date night spot! It was the first time I had been and it was a quaint little place to celebrate Valentine's. We had some complimentary bubbly which was a sweet way to kick things off. Vibes were chill and service was great-- learned a lot about grappa and their wine selection. We had some specials for valentines so I won't spend too much time as those items are not frequent items on the menu. 5/5 I tried my first grappa here and if you like chamomile, I highly recommend trying: Marolo 'Mila' Camomilla. Really strong and potent but I love the chamomile that lingers Tiramisu 3.5/5 I've had tastier tiramisu elsewhere so would opt out

Yelp
after stopping by a frd's belated bday hh, s and i headed onto this cute little italian café/restaurant. note that there are TWO doors to the place but only ONE of them is the entrance lol we learned that the hard way! after we finally got INTO the restaurant, we were seated right away. s' eyes lit up when she saw the extensive vermouth selection. she had 2 that night whereas i had a lovely rosé and ofc the aperol spritz! the menu is short and concise, and our server was very helpful when we wanted clarification over the diff pizza sizes. i wanted the fennel sausage pizza and s wanted to try the carbonara. the portions are decent sized, and you can def share a dish with 2 people. if you want to a pizza with 3+ people, i'd recommend getting the al metro. the sight of the al metro sized pizza - it's eye opening! the carbonara came first, and i was amazed how much i loved it as i'm not a big of it in the first place. the smokiness, the crispness of the guanciale, and the perfect al dente spaghetti - SO GOOD. i also want to point out the ability to pick your pasta - spaghetti or rigatoni - so very cute! the fennel sausage pizza was steaming hot when it arrived on the table. there was a slight cheese pull but the overwhelm aroma of the caramelized onions made me drool. the hearty crust, the saltiness of the fennel sausage is countered but the caramelized onions with a possible drizzle of balsamic - mmm mmm mmm! we ended off the night with the tiramisu - strong espresso flavour, julia chokes on the cocoa powder and the smoothness of the mascarpone - we devoured that. a place to hang with your frds and i want to come back for more pizza!!

Yelp
Di Beppe hits all the markers of an amazing restaurant. The food was unbelievably good, the atmosphere was cool and cozy, and the service was perfect. Our server Polina was the best part of this experience! Her recommendations absolutely nailed it and she made us feel welcomed on our first day in Vancouver. I highly recommend Di Beppe yes for the food but more so for the experience that Polina provided! I hope to come back soon to try everything else

Yelp
I am a fan! The pizza and pasta were so good We came in for lunch on the weekend We had to option of sitting outside or in the dining room. We ordered and paid for the meal first sitting down. They had a plexiglass installed with lots of area to move around in on the cafe side We ordered the Pepperoni and Funghi pizza, and Amatriciana pasta with spaghetti The place that has gooey cheese pizza. It was so stringy I had to take a picture of the cheese They were so generous with the toppings! The pasta sauce so just perfect with the spaghetti amatriciana. The guanciale was still crispy after it was mixed in with the pasta and sauce. The flavor profile of this dish was just out of this world. The lunch menu and dinner menus are the same in terms of pasta and pizza price and portion. But they offer a display case full of sandwiches and pizza by slice on the cafe side We enjoyed the meal so much, we bought a gift card for my family!
