A true neighborhood café steps from the water, pouring well-made espresso and serving a locally loved breakfast menu. Carries respected Panther Coffee beans and stays lively into the evening with wine—very Davis Islands, very Tampa.

Small bites, good coffee, nice areas to sit. Small town vibe ! They also have wine and a cool area to shop

I wanted to love this place so much but unfortunately they cannot make matcha. As soon as I saw how dark it was I knew it wasn’t going to be great. It basically tastes like water.

Renae Kotarski

Google
They have a really nice back patio area where they also have live music on Friday nights. I was able to have a coffee and a matcha while working. My husband offered the charcuterie board, I ordered the veggie and spinach egg bite quiche.

Carra Stewart

Google
Very cute little shop! The girls that served us were kind, quick, and accurate. GREAT PRICES! Delicious food. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the people I’m with said it was decent iced coffee. I’d go again to support local!

Google
I went to DI Coffee Bar to pick up some Arch and Sons premade bowls and ended up also buying a lasagna for my family. All the food was amazing...the bowls and the lasagna. The ladies there were so sweet and helpful and I will definitely be back!

Google
This is a great coffee shop. The staff is extremely friendly. There were two guys working when we went. Super nice and helpful. They have plenty of options when it comes to coffee and pastries. There is plenty of room inside and even has outdoor seating. They also have other things for sale like gifts, wine, and more. I would definitely return.

Google
The place is a great place with wonderful staff. The food was tasty! 😋 You have to check out wine tasting station. They had great wine selections from California to France/Italy/Germany.

Google
This is the cutest and coolest coffee shop I’ve been to. They have products from candles, wine, ball caps, cards, cups and more. The inside has small seating area, a patio in the back and in the front. You have to order your food outside and then they’ll call your name. We got the pesto on Cuban no ham and lays plain chips. Our sandwiches were so good with left no crumbs for the birdies. And my caramel iced latte had the perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness(don’t like my coffee sugar down). We will definitely be back for a pastry to try…And they have live music on Fridays

Yelp
What a great coffee shop in Davis Island! They have an outside window to order, or you can order inside, & as well as order wine or beer. They also have sandwiches and other food, snack items. I love the outside seating in the front and the back(really quiet and shaded), but there are also low and high tables inside if you prefer that. There's a small market inside as well with some cool stuff for the home. I ordered the Sweetheart mocha which was an iced strawberry mocha latte. I really enjoyed this and took it to go to sit by the water. They are opening a second location in Seminole Heights, so now I can't wait to check that out once it's open. They mentioned it on their IG! Service was great!

Yelp
I spend a lot of time on Davis Island, and I always hear people talk about DI Coffee Bar. So, after my recent aqua fitness class nearby, I decided to stop in to try them out. They have easy outdoor seating (a few tables) and a walk-up bar with a friendly team waiting to help you. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a veggie quiche. I was surprised by how reasonable the pricing was, especially the quiche which I believe was something like $4.75. But when my food came kitchen I realized why the price was so low. It's very small, about the size of a muffin tin, but the flavor was rich and lovely and the portion ended up being just right. The matcha was also so delicious! My friends joined me soon after and told me that the breakfast burrito is the best thing on the menu. So, I'll definitely be back and I'll definitely be trying that!

Yelp
I'm a big fan of DI Coffee! Their matcha and lattes are delicious. They always have great seasonal flavors. I love that they have the outside window with seating for nice days and an indoor space if you're looking to work/study. Their food is great too- I absolutely love their quiches, bagels and recently had the pesto cuban sandwich which was even better than expected. They also have cute items that can be bought in store like unique cards and other things. Lastly, everyone who works has always been so friendly and accommodating. Love going there!
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
Came here to get some work done on the island and found a table with an outlet right away. There's seating inside, outside in front and outside our back! Went with a cold brew (delightful) and the veggie egg burrito (great price of less than $5 and cheesy!). There's also an option to do their wine bar (after study time is done of course!) where you are given a card to scan into the wine wall, choose your wine (taste, half pour or full pour) and can choose from several types of wine including orange wine! Overall a great local spot.

Yelp
I always enjoy trying new coffee bars, and this was a lovely experience. This place was cute and cozy and plenty of room for people to dine inside or outside. I love that they had a variety of goods to shop from like various wines, candles, bracelets and even games. I love places like this where they give you an option to have a mini market and good coffee. I loved that my coffee was not too sweet and I enjoyed the avocado toast on Cuban bread. Having had Cuban toast from Miami, it will be different. It's not the same but it's still does the job. It was more like an avocado toast sandwich than your typical open faced breakfast sandwich. The staff was friendly and helpful when asking for the best options to try. According to their sign, they also have live music which is always a nice touch to any establishment. I always love when businesses offer live music.

Yelp
DI Coffee Bar is a super cute cafe on Davis Island. You order at the front window, but there's plenty of seating both in front of the cafe and inside. They also have a back patio with plenty of seating in the shade. Apparently they have live music as well! I ordered a 12 oz iced latte. It was a decent latte. A bit pricey for what it was, but that's how most cafes are. I was hoping they'd have a seasonal flavor, but I didn't notice any options on the menu. The baristas were really nice and the interior of the cafe has a cute gift shop. Overall, such an adorable cafe and a fun place to chill with friends.

Yelp
Love the walk up and order at the window. It makes it convenient. This place does get quite the crowd. They serve quick bites and drinks. We went for breakfast so I got an egg bite (ham and cheese) and a matcha latte. Upon walking inside to get a table and eat, I noticed the wine selection and area where you can sample the wines. This would be a great spot to have a girls day and sip some wines. Egg bite was nothing fancy and sort of runny in the center which grossed me out a bit. Matcha was great! They do have milk alternative so I opted for oat milk. They serve TeaBella tea which was also a plus. You order at the window then can get a table inside or out front or back. They do have a nice size back patio that also appears to have live music in the evening.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in Davis island. They serve tea from TeaBella which is nice also. They have limited variety of pasties and food but the chocolate croissant I had was tasty. The indoors has cute decor and it seems at night they also serve wine.
google avatar

Zeena A.

Yelp
This place is awesome! They have wine and coffee, alittle something for everyone. I came here with two girlfriends, we all enjoyed our wine. The experience is pretty cool too because you can do the self pour. I also had a pesto panini and it was delicious. Highly recommend coming here for a quick bite, coffee, or wine! They also have a lovely outdoor patio in the back!

Yelp
My favorite run club starts at DI Coffee Bar every Friday AM and they're super understanding of our unquenchable thirst post-run! They always keep their free water stations full for us and even brought out a second one to keep it from emptying so soon. I think most folks at the run club typically get in line and get coffee or breakfast after the run, and they're really great about our quick rush of people. I love DI Coffee Bar!!

Yelp
So adorable. I've gone twice for live music on the weekends and the vibes are absolutely incredible. The wine wall makes me feel like I'm living in 3025 and has a great variety of options. I also appreciate that you can get a sample size to try a certain wine or get a half glass if you're a lightweight like me. Also appreciate that they serve coffee/tea and food (mainly baked goods) up until closing. Makes me feel so classy but it's also so chill and casual. Plus super cute non-food/drink items like kitchen decor and stationary. Basically everything I love all in one location in Davis Island's quaint downtown strip.
google avatar

Amber W.

Yelp
Such a cute space to grab coffee and have a little work day! It was busy but service was fast and we were still able to easily find a seat. The burrito I had was good but very small. Can't wait to come back when the weather is better and enjoy their outdoor area!
google avatar

Yelp
DI is a staple in our weekend routine. Literally just showing up and standing in line at DI brings a smile to my face. The location perfect (right in the mini "downtown" strip of Davis Island). It's always bustling on a Saturday and Sunday morning, and you just feel a vibe of friendliness and happiness because everybody is getting their DI fix. Everything they make is good too. Breakfast sandwiches here are famous, and their coffee is second to none. My favorite is an iced vanilla oat milk latte. Hits the right spot every time!
google avatar

Ameesh P.

Yelp
I always forget about DI Coffee Bar when looking for a quick breakfast on weekends. This particular weekend it was a bit busy, but the staff was working quickly and had our order ready in a matter of minutes. Service is great and there are daily specials so make sure to check those out. I had the salted caramel latte and a breakfast burrito on my visit. Both were the perfect start to my day and were enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
Even though they were short staffed and busy they still gave out orders with a smile on there face's! I love the location of this coffee spot, small and even has an open faced window to be served outdoors. My sister and I wanted to grab a quick coffee and a couple drinks and snack for the kids so we got a grilled cheese for the kids to split and 4 chocolate milks and two coffees. We got a peppermint mocha hot and a cafe con leche with sugar, I could see the stress building up with orders and only two people fulfilling but I will say the both rocked it! I was very patient and I told them to please take your time and they appreciated it, when I picked up my order they made the kids an extra grilled cheese so it was very wonderful visit. Thank you for the hospitality.

Yelp
(From March, 2022) The coffee spot on David Island in Tampa, it's a solid spot for a quick pick-me up or hanging to kill some time. I stopped here during my exploration throughout David Island on a Sunday morning in late March for a latte and wound up getting a breakfast cuban sandwich since I saw a sign that said '2nd best cuban in Tampa' (first is West Tampa Sandwich shop, see my review on that). Both the coffee drink and sandwich hit the spot properly. There's something about that cuban bread that does the sandwich right. The staff was friendly and the customers and people walking by were friendly with a wave and smile. Seems people are happy being on this island and I don't blame them. Can I live here too someday?

Yelp
my chocolate chip cookies review: solid 8/10 really yummy. tastes like a sugar cookie with chocolate chips almost. not crispy, more on the chewy side but i wouldn't call it super chewy just more soft baked i enjoyed the texture. it tastes like a good family recipe your grandma would make

Yelp
I haven't been to DI in so long, and I'm sitting here asking myself why?! The coffee was delicious and the vibe was perfect!! They have a lovely outdoor patio in the back. I definitely recommend coming here. The patio was quiet enough to relax and read and the baristas were super kind. DI is a win!!
google avatar

Nick T.

Yelp
DI coffee bar is incredible all around. Baristas are always friendly, food is always delicious, and coffees/teas are made exceptionally well. There's an outdoor patio in the front as well as the back and a spacious indoor area that also includes a little shop with unique and what I believe is local goodies (cards, fun little games, candles, etc). Really great atmosphere to hang out and enjoy a small bite (or the second best Cuban in Tampa, per their sign), a coffee or tea, and get some work done, read, or catch up with some friends! A really versatile place in a friendly area. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Nalini R.

Yelp
The environment at Davis Island coffee bar is always so chill and relaxing. There are adequate seating options to come inside and study for a quieter vibe in the morning on a Sunday or Saturday and then the patio is a nice way to enjoy the outdoors in a dog friendly setting and be very social. They're cuban press med sandwiches are carefully created and have the right flavors. I just wish they would have more meat options outside of ham sausage, and lox. I personally am a turkey or chicken girl even for breakfast, so I'm always looking for a breakfast spot that has this. I did try to their pressed pesto sandwich and it does have turkey in it so if you take out the ham it does have pretty good flavor. Their basic breakfast sandwiches are also pretty flavorful.

Yelp
Iced latte was amazing. The Cuban style breakfast sandwich I had was amazing! It was busy in the morning but they provide great customer service and quick.
google avatar

Yelp
First off the website is terrible not friendly for ANYONE trying to view it in the sun or in the car. All black with super light weight dark gray font for drink description. My daughter got the special called Samoa cold and she said it was sweet and nice. Ordered 2 Cafè con Leches hot terrible no condensed milk in them at all so basically a plain latte, too hot to taste there, got home mixed thinking condensed milk is at bottom nope just a latte ‍. Do not recommend! It seemed to be popular for local people to park and pick up but for me it's a no!
google avatar

Zoe B.

Yelp
The drinks are decent but pricey. I have gotten matcha from there and I have to say it wasn't my favorite. However, the second time I went I go a decaf iced latte with almond milk and it was delicious! Service is usually good even when the place gets really busy. It has indoor and outdoor seating options which is great. The sandwich was tasty but a little overpriced in my opinion, however it does come with a bag of chips. It's right on the main DI strip so lots nearby to walk to and explore! It's a great place and they have cute merch and boutique items for sale inside as well.
google avatar

Sharon G.

Yelp
We come here frequently. In non-COVID times they have a lovely dining area inside with lots of interesting local products (including Seventh Avenue Apothecary candles) and a nice wine selection. Now, we stick to the outdoor window. You can get great coffee and pastries and it looks like glasses of wine in the evenings. They are located on the charming, central commercial street in Davis Island. It's a great place for a stroll.
google avatar

Gracie M.

Yelp
As I approached one of the workers was outside and standing in front of register so I was awkwardly trying to see the baked goods. It then took the other three baristas 5 minutes to notice I was ready to order. The outside seating areas are very cute though. They say they have live music on Friday and Saturdays. My coffee was so bad and left me to chug it because I did not want to waste it. My blueberry muffin was good and very warmed up. Too expensive for such a bad taste. I will come back again and try it for a third time to see if anything changes.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the best coffee shop in tampa, the ambiance is amazing and the perfect place to get some work done! They do seasonal drinks every month. The people that work here are truly wonderful - best service ever.

Caroline V.

Yelp
The service here is very good! DI coffee bar also has a wine bar which I loved. You pick your wine, pick how much you want (taste, 1/2 glass, full glass) and they pour it for you and you pay. They have a lot of tables where you can sit and enjoy. It is indoor and outdoor. Cool environment where you can shop around while you wait on your beverage/food.
google avatar

Dani S.

Yelp
Have always enjoyed their lattes! I do miss them having more cute items to shop/look at while there.

Yelp
Just Wow! I've lived in south Tampa for three years and I've been on the hunt for the perfect coffee shop ever since! With so many to choose from you can see why it might have taken me so long, but I finally found it! This is the cutest coffee shop in all of south Tampa. They have so many drink options (with non-dairy & sugar-free substitutes). The baristas were so nice and helped me decide what to get. I ended up ordering a chai latte with sugar free vanilla and oat milk and it was so good! There are so many options for seating - whether you're here for a coffee date or setting up shop to do some studying or online work for hours. Outdoor seating is so nice - they even have heaters and an electric fireplace. I just found my new every-day coffee shop! Update: I went back the next morning to get another chai latte and a Cuban sandwich, guava & cheese pastry, and caramel oatmilk latte for my boyfriend. All were amazing !

Yelp
Cute little oasis on Davis Island. Parking is available on the street in the front, or in the neighborhood nearby. I went late afternoon to kill some time while waiting on a friend, so it was pretty empty when I was there. I walked up to the window that faces the street, and said I was looking for something caffeine-free. I was instantly given options of decaf espresso, coffee or tea. I opted for the tea, and was then asked if I wanted to steep it myself, or have them. When I chose 'them', she told me it would be about 4 minutes, and she would bring it out. Which she promptly did when it was ready. Meanwhile, I was comfortably ensconced at a high top outside table, in the shade, utilizing their free Wi-Fi to read. It was so relaxing and peaceful just hanging out and reading in the quiet, with the occasional people watching. I've heard they now have a finished back patio, so I can't wait to try that out next.
google avatar

Bianca L.

Yelp
Good coffee but the breakfast is subpar and over priced I would go for the coffee and the ambiance and not get food because it tastes like they got a packet of jimmy deans frozen breakfast sandwiches and reheated them
google avatar

Liz F.

Yelp
Their sign says "second best cuban sandwich" but I'm gonna have to disagree. The DI Coffee Bar cuban has 1st place as far as I'm concerned! The cappuccinos are also on point. This is my favorite little lunch spot, and it's got a really cute, quiet garden patio out back too.
google avatar

Coral S.

Yelp
Spent the afternoon at this cute Davis Island cafe and left with a new favorite coffee shop! This is seriously a must for anyone in the area looking for a quick drink or snack to go, or to relax with great service and atmosphere if you have the time. I ordered an iced matcha with almond milk at the counter outside then found seating in the back area to study. There were three tables with umbrellas, a large communal table, and a smaller firepit table in the center with lounge chairs around. I loved the vibe inside, but the outdoor area really felt like an oasis! The music could have been better in my opinion. Otherwise, I was thoroughly impressed. The baristas were so friendly and seemed to know every regular who stopped by. I can't wait to spend another weekend here and try some of their menu items! I hear the Cuban sandwich is amazing.
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
Popular coffee shop on Davis Island. Good quality coffee and a simple menu of breakfast items. I went with an iced latte and veggie burrito. Service is friendly and quick, they have several people staffing the window. I recommend taking your food to go and eating by the water, take full advantage of this place's location!
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
Great little coffee, wine and "extras" shop on Davis Island. The cold brew was awesome and they put the cream/sugar in for you, iced chai was a little sweet, but still really good. One of the best chocolate croissants we've ever had. Breakfast burrito is more like a quesadilla, but a good size and filling. The pesto Cuban was huge- big enough for 2 people or 2 meals and very fresh tasting. The barista even gave Freddy a "pup cup" of whipped cream to enjoy out on the patio. Inside has lots of local candles and an extensive wine selection. Parking is a little tricky, but it's an easy walk if you need to park further away. Highly recommend!

Yelp
After a sunrise near tampa's oldest airport I was looking for a coffee place to have a quick coffee as well as breakfast. I searched for a coffee bar near me and came across DI Coffee Bar. It is an amazing and wonderful cafe with different coffee options and breakfast to eat. After browsing through the menu I decided to order Americano and Cuban Toast. I didn't had to wait much for the order and I got my order in 5 minutes. The coffee was hot and brewed properly. Loved my morning coffee and toast.
google avatar

Sabina G.

Yelp
Service takes a bit longer since there's only 2 people working but makes sense for a busy weekday. We ordered a cafe con lech & earl gray tea! 2 bakery items ! Great space to work and hang with a friend!
google avatar

Zoe G.

Yelp
Amazing. Go here! Stop looking! Ordered a small latte, and had a wonderful morning sip on the back door patio. Baristas were amazingly friendly but had a cool chill vibe Such a great spot. Lots of space to work inside. Will have to try out the wine bar component next!
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Nice simple spot for coffee and a quick bite to eat. I went with the OG Burrito and a Cappuccino. Both were good considering the cost. Certainly one of the more affordable places in the Tampa area. Adequate outdoor seating, although I'd recommend getting it to go and eating by the water. Service was quick.
google avatar

Donna C.

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly service- and fast! Here on Davis Island for a few days and so glad this was in walking distance of the place we rented! Need my morning coffee fix!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop that serves wine on Davis Island! Front seating area and back seating area. Perfect place if you're trying to knock out some emails and or connect with local south tampa!
google avatar

Ken R.

Yelp
Great coffee, tea, and other drinks. Nice indoor seating with nice decor, as well as great outdoor areas in both the front and back. They have a fairly extensive menu for a coffee shop with both breakfast and lunch items. A nice place with a great staff.
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
The coffee here is the best! I love that they get their coffee from a small roaster based out of Miami because it makes a world of a difference. Their coffee is so smooth and easy to enjoy without tasting watered down. I love stopping there before taking my dog to the dog beach on the weekends. They also have a lot of yummy small bites, I've become addicted to their quiches, specifically the ham and cheese one!
google avatar

Poorvi D.

Yelp
Their new outdoor patio is amazing!! They'll have a fire pit too! It will look incredible at night with these lights.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a true gem on the island. I'm visiting the Tampa Bay Area and stopped in yesterday (and today). First the staff, wow how great were they. Gerry was engaging, very professional, suggested foods and took time to explain the menu and coffee selection. The barista Justin not only made me a great latte but also explained how to properly steam milk for my personal espresso machine. Gabby was amazing at service. I ordered my favorite breakfast avocado toast tried it on an everything bagel--#fantastic! This is certainly a place to visit for great food and a fantastic coffee experience

John W.

Yelp
Went there for a quick sandwich. Son recommended the 2nd best Cuban sandwich. It did not disappoint! Hot, fresh, juicy. Very flavorful. Most places I've tried the meat is a little overcooked. This was spot on. Definitely will have again on our next visit to Tampa!!
google avatar

Katelyn D.

Yelp
While there are many great coffee houses in the Tampa area, DI Coffee Bar is one of my favs and most visited. The local spot is loved by locals and a great stop on Davis Island. The atmosphere at DI is casual and comfortable. They have both an inside area and a bar and tables outside as well. You will usually find the local four-legged locals enjoying the great weather in the outside area as well as their owners. Inside has a mix of tables, high tables and couches to enjoy your food and beverages to your likes. The coffee is tasty and has many options, including cafe con leche. They serve Panther Coffee which is roasted out of Miami, which I do wish they used one of the many local roasters, but it is good coffee. They also serve wine & beer if you need an early start or an end to your day. They have a variety of options if you need a snack or more, pastries to sandwiches. I love the avocado toast, smashed avocado with tomato on a pressed everything bagel. The last time I tried the breakfast sandwich, which is on pressed Cuban bread from La Segunda, delish!! Enjoy a very relaxing and comfortable coffee house by stopping by on your next trip across the small bridge!
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
A cute little coffee gem on Davis Islands! I decided to spend Sunday at the park and wanted some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I found this place in the middle of the village shops and it was busy on a Sunday around 11am! This is a dog friendly place with a walk up register so I was able to bring my dog. I got a medium coffee and the DI breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was good and made with La Segunda bakery Cuban bread. It was prefect and pressed. I enjoyed my picnic at the park thanks to DI coffee bar!

Yelp
the atmosphere is super cute! they have a little shop inside along with seating and then an area out back with more seating and a fireplace. the coffee is delicious and the people are friendly! only downside was that I was inside and I was so cold. overall perfect space to read a good book and enjoy some coffee and food
