We had an absolutely excellent dining experience here today. Everything we sampled was delicious and we had very good service in an upscale setting.
From the outside, you wouldn't expect what you will find inside -- a top notch kitchen and a white table cloth venue.
Portions are quite large, so even though there's no separate lunch menu, don't despair when you see the price points. Many items can be easily shared or a portion saved for an additional meal.
While waiting for our ordered food to arrive, we were given some rustic sliced Italian bread with a small dish of chopped tomatoes and onions in a slightly sweet balsamic vinaigrette. The bruschetta was addictive. We used the last bit to add to our salad.
We began by sharing their St. Tropez salad. They nicely split this in the kitchen onto two plates. The serving was so large, I questioned whether it was only one salad. It was a delightful combo of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, kalamata olives, green peppers and cucumbers tossed in a light house made dressing and topped with creamy feta cheese.
After the salad, my husband had their traditional pasta e fagioli soup. He thoroughly enjoyed it. He said the bean base was hearty and he ate every bit.
For my main, I had their eggplant parmigiana appetizer. The layered tender eggplant was baked with mozzarella cheese and house tomato sauce. I ate half of it there (and had the other half for dinner). It, too, was very good.
Can't wait to come back and try some of their dinner options. This place is a must try and for us, a keeper.
