Diablo Paso is located in downtown Paso. The tasting room is dog friendly. My husband, our little girl dog and I came here because the host at EOS winery gave us a voucher for a free wine tasting for 2 to check out this place. According to Fernando, the nephew of the owner of this winery, people here tend to be friendly and recommend wineries to others in Paso Robles and not worry about competition.
Anyways, wine tasting normally cost $15 per person but is waived with a 2 bottle purchase.
Anyways, for the wine tasting, it comes with 6 wines. But for someone like myself, whom prefers sweet wines, mine only comes with 4. In the end, we ended up purchasing a bottle of Albarino ($20) and Tempranillo ($36), dessert wines for me.
We appreciated Fernando's direct honestly about the different wines and wineries in Paso Robles. He told us the story of how his uncle started in the wine business, although there is a newspaper clipping of the story framed on the wall. He provided additional details that wasn't in the clipping that made it very interesting and can see how clever he really was to start this business.
The tasting room itself is on the small side with some bar seating. It had a nice quiet vibe.
Please note that the unisex restroom down the hall was clean upon this visit and stocked with the adequately necessities.
Overall, had a great experience and would come back again.
Please note that street parking is available.
