Have been waiting for their new location on West Broadway to open and finally visited, and so glad we did. Diamond Jack’s vibe is a little bit Nashville meets Marilyn Monroe, with ample seating for date nights and dinner with friends. The owners greeted us with a smile and conversation at the bar. We tried a handful of cocktails and some suggested wine, which were all fantastic. They have a small menu with apps, entrees and desserts unique to their culinary style. I will be back, probably often, and I suggest you do the same if you’re in the area!

When my husband and I just want to have couple of drinks but we ended up ordering food. It was so good, esp the sweet potato fries(ftw)! The place was cool. I love the modern touch, and unique vibe for Maryville! Excellent customer service, shoutout to the chef and Amanda! 🙌🏻

Did not expect to get wings but man were they the best and SO flavorful! This was the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday with friends. The entire staff was excellent. Highly recommend the wine tastings to find new favorites 🍷

This was a wild one. Let’s begin with the positives. The place has tons of potential. It was clean and it felt good just being welcomed in. The interior is decorative as well as imaginative. The hostess was most impressive. She was gracious and accommodating but very overworked. We were seated after a short wait which was expected because we did not have reservations. This is where things fell apart. The restaurant was severely short staffed and ill prepared for its relaunch. We ordered the Wagu steak to share and selected our sides. After a time we were informed that they had ran out of the entrée. Disappointing to say the least. We made our secondary choices and tried to put the situation aside and enjoy our cocktails. The cocktails we crafted very nicely even though the bar was overwhelmed. Again, I was informed my choice in food had ran out. The front of house manager was apologetic when I asked for my check without ordering for a third time. I was a little taken aback that the chef never stepped out to explain and everyone appeared to feel like this was acceptable at a reopening that was highly marketed on social media. Maybe my expectations were to great?

Really enjoyed the new space. Hadn't been for a year so we were overdue for a visit on our Saturday date night. We did the saltine cracker appetizee with pimento cheese (Must try!). Followed by gnocchi, egg salad, fries and wedge salad. All were excellent shared and just the right portions for small appetites that evening. The only ding was on the bar. Ordered a dirty vodka martini that took a while to get and didn't really taste dirty ($18). Regardless, look forward to a return trip sometime soon.

Our first visit. Staff was friendly and our server was very kind, probably stressed as he literally ran through the dining room between requests from his tables. Underwhelming food. We had trout and chicken thighs after the fried pickles for a starter. The space is very loud and chilly. I guess I was hoping for a cozy “wine bar” vibe with someone talking with me about the wine and offering to pair the dishes with wine. Maybe a wine flight? Big whiskey menu but really skimpy on rum and vodka choices. Just not what I expected with a $160 steak on the menu. Side note…20% gratuity is added.

Google
Amazing! 4th time in 1 month! If you are looking for a sophisticated place that still feels cozy, look no further! The bar is stocked with fresh squeezed juices!!! DJ, Morgan, & Chef Jack are fantastic & friendly!

I have too many compliments to fit into one review! We were immediately greeted by the friendliest face who would later be our server (and a manager, we found out!). Yuki was SO kind and helpful from the moment we walked in the door, even going as far as to box up our leftovers. Lucky for us, Thursday was half price wine night! The sommelier came over & spoke with us, making a perfect wine recommendation for our taste. It was reasonably priced & super drinkable! They had lots of options, but it never felt overwhelming, which I appreciated. Most importantly: the food - phenomenal. This was my second visit, and the new menu is amazingly delicious. My friends & I started with the Buffalo chicken dip, the disco taters, and the sourdough bread with house-made butter! Everything was so good, and I wish I could put the disco tater sauce on EVERYTHING! I had meatloaf for my main entree - cooked to perfection. And we split some cherry cola cake for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal. My friends got the hangar steak & the pasta - both looked delicious. Chef knows what he’s doing 1000%! Another touch I really appreciated was the automatic 20% gratuity. I didn’t hesitate to add to that, but, as a server, I love that you can see they take care of their staff! At a smaller restaurant where they may not turn as many tables, it’s really cool to see that they want to ensure their hard-working staff gets taken care of. Kudos to them! If you’re looking for immaculate vibes with a delicious, locally-sourced menu & great drink options, this is the place for you! The drive from Knoxville to Maryville is absolutely worth it :)

Yelp
I'm really glad to have gotten to go here before it closed. 5/5 experience and everything was awesome end-to-end. The food, beverages, and the look and vibe inside looked awesome. The staff was super friendly as well. Thanks Diamond Jack for all the time you served the area.

Yelp
What an amazing place. We came with the recommendation of friends. We got here at 2:00 for a late lunch and discovered they have a limited menu from 2:00 to 4:00, Happy Hour. We opted to share a Smash Burger with their fried Brussels sprouts as a side. It comes with chips, but you can upgrade with fries, sweet potato fries or any side. We also ordered the roasted bone marrow served with apple chutney on what is similar to Texas Toast. We met the owners we are delightful and made our time relaxing a memorable. The setting is chic with lots of touches that make it special.

Yelp
Cute wine bar right in Downtown Maryville! We stopped in on a Wednesday evening for dinner, drinks, and dessert. While the food menu is very limited, the wine list is huge. We had great service and an enjoyable evening. The highlight was the tiramisu!

Yelp
First time in their new, bigger location. The decor was lovely. Glad they still have the wine flights, and thorough list of other drinks. Sadly, the food was very uneven and some of that very poor. More noticeably, the timing was hoorrible....the four of us saw another couple sit down next to us, order and eat and depart before we were finallly served. When the waitress and then a manaager type both came by to say "your food is on the way out soon," we knew there were problems. Even then, 3 plates came and then there was a 2-3 minute wait for the fourth. I had the chicken dish. Some of the side items (sprouts) were cold, and the chicken was extremely tough-- overcooked, and so the sauce on top was virtually burnt/melded into the chicken skin. I think the topping was supposed to have goat's cheese and other things, but it was just a darkened thick extra hide on the bird. Lastly-- they were out of desserts. This was EARLY on a Friday evening....did they go all weekend then, without dessert offerings? We wish them well and hope that this was an anomaly, but it makes it difficult to go back, since there are plenty of good restaurants even here in little Maryviille that seem to be more consistent.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for a date night to try something new. We were not disappointed. We made reservations just to be sure we could be seated. We had a cozy little table for two. The restaurant is classy and elegantly decorated. Service was phenomenal, from our hostess greeting, our server's attentiveness, and even our food delivery from the owner. My only suggestion for improvement would be the wine availability. After all, Wine Bar is in the name of the restaurant, and they did, in fact, have an extensive, eclectic and unique offerings...by the bottle. But, there is a very limited wine menu by the glass. That being said, I enjoyed my Sauv Blanc they offered by the glass. The food menu is fairly limited too, but we each found something we liked. I had the butternut squash ravioli, which was excellent. The raviolis were overstuffed with tender squash, the sauce was not too sweet like a typical browned-butter, and the addition of some (unknown) tiny mushrooms was a nice touch. The serving was about right too, because we don't like giant servings that require you to take home. We'd rather just have an appropriate sized single serving. After dinner, we decided to sit at the bar and have another drink with dessert. Our server was very accommodating by keeping everything on one bill. Actually, she was the one who moved over to the bar and continued our service. We shared a slice of their chocolate cake. It was just the right amount of sweetness, and was very enjoyable. I opted for one of their many Buffalo Trace offerings (Buffalo Trace Small Batch) with a large ice cube (one more thing they had that impressed me.). This is a perfect place for a date night.

Yelp
Fun ambience, friendly service, do recommend for a date night. Bone marrow appetizer, meatloaf entree & multiple cocktails were very enjoyable.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in Maryville, a little outside of Knoxville. It was very well decorated and the ambiance inside was perfect for a celebratory night. My date and I were particularly hungry this night haha so we ordered two appetizers. The French onion sourdough toast really hit the jackpot for us. The themed drinks were fun to try. They had quite a selection to choose from depending on your liquor preferences. Now for dinner, the SALMON was perfection. If you're a seafood person at all, the unique combo with the carrot purée was something new for me and blend together very well with the fish. I was a bit disappointed with the brussel sprouts and I'm a brussel girlie. Just felt like it was fried in tons of oil without any seasonings. The chicken entree was great too but minus the brussels again. Our server Micah was absolutely phenomenal and even changed one of our entrees after we had ordered it for like 15min before changing our minds. Overall, a great vibe and I'd go back in another season to try out their new themed concoctions!

Yelp
Stop reading this review and go to Diamond Jack right now. HOLY YUM! I had high hopes for this place after finding it on IG and seeing how great their photography and food and cocktails looked (I do Photog & social media for small businesses so having a great looking feed matters to me. If I go to your IG and I have to scroll a lot before knowing what your biz or food looks like and I can't find a menu or website link it doesn't encourage me to go. Diamond Jack had me drooling over them right from the start). My bf and I moved here from Sacramento months ago, but I finally got to go when we had a friend visiting so I brought her here and wow wow wow. It did not disappoint. From the artsy quirky cool decor to the cute aesthetic dinnerware to the INCREDIBLE food and cocktail/drink selection and beyond amazing staff...This will now be my new date night and celebration spot. 11/10. Just know that it's pricier than most places in town but sooo worth it.

Yelp
We spent our anniversary dinner here and I'm so glad we did. Our waiter - James - was the best. Attentive and very knowledgeable, and when I asked which wine he recommended he brought out three for me to sample! He even brought a red (which I don't typically drink) and I loved it. The atmosphere is very cool, from the mismatched flatware to the art on the walls. The music was a bit loud, but that's just me nitpicking! We ordered the Eleanor (their twist on a whiskey sour) and it was delicious, as well as the Gwen (a cocoa liqueur cocktail) and it was even better! For food we got the pimento cheese appetizer, and I ordered the wedge salad with steak, and my husband got the smash burger with Parmesan herb fries. WOW. My salad was very filling and the steak was cooked perfectly. The flavors balanced beautifully with each other and it made me want to try their full steak next time! The burger was so good, again cooked perfectly, and very juicy. But y'all, THOSE FRIES. I could eat a plate of just those, and I don't even like fries normally. 10/10, definitely go if you haven't and give James some love - he deserves it!

Yelp
I decided to update my review since DiamondJack is rocking a new location. One word...PHENOMENAL. Although the new digs aren't quite as cozy as the last location, Diamond Jack is still slinging out some seriously delicious food. The Watermelon Salad was refreshing, tangy, spicy, and beautifully balanced. My wife's steak was wonderfully cooked and seasoned to perfection. Shrimp and Grits can be found on so many menus in the South, but DJ manages to make theirs standout with a dish that's spicy, creamy, comforting, and yet still refined. But the real show-stopper was the S'mores Pot de Crème, which had us swooning until the check arrived. Between the cocoa nibs, marshmallow creme, and house made graham crackers, this dish is an absolute delight from start to finish. We almost ordered another one but decided against it, at the risk of looking like total pigs. We'll never let peer pressure keep us down like that again. If you still haven't tried Diamond Jack at this point, I assume you've been living under a rock. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some the best food in the greater Knoxville area. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and awesome drinks. Especially recommend the Disco Taters. However not a fan of the 20% gratuity being included as I never tip that high on my drinks...

Yelp
Dropped in for brunch. The Rosti Benedict was absolutely delicious (hollandaise on point)! As was the chicken biscuit. French 75 was the best we've ever had So many good choices. And in such a beautiful setting! A Maryville gem. Brunch @diamondjackrestaurant should be on your short list!

Yelp
A group of six of us ate at Diamond Jacks on Sunday, July 21, 2024. First the coffee comes in tiny tea cups which the men could not put their fingers in to hold. Two sips and its empty and they have to keep refilling. Had to ask for sugar, spoons, etc. We all ordered different entrees. Two were good but 4 were terrible. The woman who ordered shrimp and grits said hers was very good. The woman who ordered french toast said hers was good also. The brunch hamburger was a see through dried up piece of meat. Not edible. The chicken waffle dish, the chicken was so dried out and tasteless. The eggs benedict was served with burnt bologna which was as hard as a hockey puck. Needless to say the 6 of us said we would not return.

Yelp
This place is off the normal restaurant path located in downtown Maryville, very close to the courthouse, they have a great patio with a great view! It is located in an old house. They have a variety of small plates, and a very nice wine list along with quality cocktails. If you've been to JC Holdaway or BlackBerry Farms then you probably will recognize a few faces here. The owners are exceptionally nice people and they go out their way to make you feel comfortable. The bathrooms here are incredible! I absolutely love them, from the tops to the bottoms, the wall paper really stands out to me. So make sure to use the bathroom because they really are cool bathrooms. If you are looking for a chill place to check out then go check this place out because I'm sure you will love it too. My only suggestion would be dimmer lights besides that I'm a fan and hope you will be too! Cheers & Enjoy!

Yelp
Very cute spot that was worth the drive from Knoxville. I love the feminine decor and color palette -- perfect for a girls night out. Staff was super attentive -- we had three different folks approach us to make sure we were being taken care of. Cocktails were gorgeous and bar menu was vast. We were mainly here for the drinks but we enjoyed snacking on the creme fraiche with herbs, served in a teacup (cute!!) with a side of kettle chips and veggies. Overall, I was impressed with the amount of vegetarian options on their food menu and look forward to coming back to try more.

Yelp
Having Sunday Brunch what a great Menu, Food, Atmosphere will definitely be back recommend to everyone in Maryville and surrounding areas.

Yelp
This place is so adorable!! I love how cute and modern the establishment is. The food menu is small but the drink menu is large. The food was very good and the staff was very pleasant to interact with. The staff was very on top of everything. I just wish there was more food for the money you were spending. My Marg was good.

Andi H.

Yelp
Love this place!!! It's so cute and a very innovative/progressive spot in terms of food/concept for Maryville. I appreciate seeing a place trying to introduce fresh ideas and bringing a wine bar to small place like Maryville where it can be hard to get ppl out of their comfort zone or to try new things. Keep doing your thing!
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
LOVE this place! I've been twice in the past couple weeks and everything I've had has been delicious. There's a fun atmosphere and the chef and the sommelier are both so kind and welcoming. I'm really into their high-low concept and how approachable they make everything. The hardest decision we had was whether to order another hot dog or the brie & prosciutto sandwich. Luckily there was no going wrong with those choices. The wine flight was also well balanced, fanciful, and exactly what we were looking for. I overheard the table next to me say they drove all the way from Knoxville and were so glad they did because they had almost every dish and they were all delicious. They seem to be trying new menu items regularly, so can't wait to see what they come up with next!
google avatar

Allison S.

Yelp
This place is great! A beacon for Maryville restaurant scene. Great wine selection and the food was interesting and excellent quality. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. The decor is modern and fresh. I can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
Lovely spot, my Mom brought me here and the service and food was delicious! The atmosphere is lovely. We had a great time!

Yelp
This is the perfect place for brunch with your girlfriends! Everything from the decor to the food is just wonderful! My friend and I dined here for brunch and had the best time. The ambiance is perfect and the staff is really friendly. They have an excellent cocktail menu, but we opted for a couple of mimosas. The mimosas were $12 each, but we wanted to treat ourselves and it was worth it. They have a smaller brunch menu, but we still had a hard time choosing what to order. We couldn't resist ordering the pumpkin cinnamon rolls as a starter and they did not disappoint! They tasted as pretty as they look. The tart flavor of the cream cheese frosting balanced out the sweetness of the rolls perfectly. We decided to split the grits and the sweet potato and egg hash and they were both delicious! The whole experience was a lot of fun and we will definitely return. They're open late on the weekends, so we'll definitely be back for drinks one evening.

Yelp
Several evenings we have found ourselves sitting on the patio with friends for a wonderful meal and fellowship. So far the main course selections have ALL been delightful. The drink and appetizer selections have been appropriate. We have left a time or two without a dessert when the options were slim. Service and accommodations have always been exceptional. A gem of a location to create a evening to remember.

Rachel W.

Yelp
Such a great place to relax and have a drink. I felt as though I was in some swanky big city place in the middle of Maryville.

Yelp
What a gem the Talley's brought to downtown Maryville! Set in a historic home the decor is absolutely gorgeous! From the unique wallpaper to the table settings it's just stunning! There isn't another place in blount county like it. The wine list is extensive and the sommeliers are continuously searching for something new and different. Even though it is a "wine bar" the cocktails are unique and tasty! The food menu is small but is always rotating with new creations from the chef. They also offer a cake of the week! It's always a joy to see what flavor combos the pastry chef will come up with. Diamond Jack is the perfect place for a girls night, date night or even a solo trip. The cozy atmosphere is welcoming to all. To top it all off the service is impeccable! Definitely a must try!

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! This is such a gem in the Maryville area. I used to live in Franklin TN and I miss it dearly. This place was like going back to my favorite spots in Franklin. It's classy, gorgeous, and delicious! I think I've found my new favorite place!!

Trisha H.

Yelp
Disappointing is all I can say. Out for a girls night and thought it was going to be a cute new place for us to hang. WRONG Only one wait staff, which meant long waits. While they may have an "extensive" wine list, they only had one Chardonnay by the glass. The menu was very limited and kind of odd. We decided to get several appetizers to share. The charcuterie board seemed like a great choice for 4 given it cost $30 so we thought it would be fairly substantial. We also order 3 other smaller items. The board came out with 3 pieces of cheese! It was so sparse I wish I had taken a photo. Finally, most of the cooking is done on a griddle that must have been way too hot or there is really bad filtration b/c it filled the entire place with smoke/smell so bad that our eyes were burning and we had to change our close when we got home. Will not be back. Loved the outdoor seating option, cute table settings and lots of potential. Needs a lot of work. FYI - This is my first ever yelp review which speaks to how strongly I feel about this experience.
google avatar

Eric Hickle- C.

Yelp
We got food poisoning from eating here last week. Avoid the chicken salad which was a special. It tasted great and didn't smell bad. It was likely not Refrigerated appropriately or left sitting out. Now that I think about it, it wasn't cold. Yuck! Also server wasn't wearing mask appropriately and kept messing with the mask. Mask worn below nose. We aren't mask wearing people, but if someone chooses to wear a mask then wear it the appropriate way or don't even bother wearing one at all. Cute place. But we won't be back.

Yelp
It was a real treat to spend a couple of hours at Jack's last Saturday night. I had a fabulous cocktail (a fresh spin on the Last Word), before diving into a wine flight which paired perfectly with the yummy food. We loved the salad, ham sandwich and risotto, but the desserts were off the charts. Tucked into a lively bungalow, it's clearly a labor of love by the friendly hosts. Everyone, guests and staff, was so relaxed and happy, which made for a wonderful evening.

Lance F.

Yelp
These folks are top notch! They are super friendly and will go out of their way to accomodate! Great home town experience with a super fun atmosphere.

Karissa W.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Food was very good!! Service was prompt. Atmosphere is comfortable, fun, and unique. Hope this place can survive! It's a perfect addition to Maryville!

Yelp
This place is so cute and fun. I never go to Maryville but when I saw this place had just opened up, I knew I needed to make the trip from Knoxville to go and I'm glad I did. The house-turned-bar/restaurant is one of my favorite things and gives it an Asheville vibe. The wine list was top notch and I highly recommend doing the wine tour with 3 glasses of wine for only $19. I have to admit my crew didn't actually try any of the food but that just means we will have to go back soon as I really wanted to try some of the "fancy gas station food" as well as a charcuterie board and chess pie. The owner has Blackberry Farm roots and you can really see the attention to detail in everything from the wine list to decor down to the fancy pens you get to sign your check (which I reaaaally wanted to take but you know, I'm an adult so I didn't). It's hard making the decision to start a new business in these crazy times so kudos to them and I hope everyone gives them a try soon!!

Yelp
We were so excited to come dine here in person the other night after having take out several times recently. We had reservations to celebrate Mother's Day that had been confirmed however we arrived at the restaurant to find it closed. The phone number was disconnected and when I finally heard from the owner the next day (through an email I had to send) he said they got a better offer for a private event and just forgot to let us know. As far as I'm concerned there are "better offers" for dining/service as well.
google avatar

Leah N.

Yelp
Made reservations here to catch up with a girlfriend. We shared a bottle of excellent rose (recommended by our awesome server), the charred onion dip, roasted pear salad with creme fraiche (amazing!), and, of course, some chess pie. This is a cute little joint and a great addition to maryville. Not once did we feel rushed or uncomfortable. We will definitely be returning.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
The ambiance was great, the wine was great, the food was okay. I would go back for the wine flight again for sure. The decor is amazing and I am glad to have a place like this in Maryville.

Yelp
Brilliant in every way imaginable. A place to return to for years to come. Impeccable design, wonderful staff, just one hell of a good time. 5+ stars!

Yelp
This place is new and I am glad we tried it. Diamondjack wine bar is in a beautifully refurbished craftsman bungalow. They have managed to decorate the place in a manner that is chic, comfortable, classy and casual all at once. They did a wonderful job. The wine menu, especially by the glass is small but the selections are interesting and they promise that it will change often. The food menu is lighter fare. We only had potato chips but they were good and served with a delicious cream fraiche and fresh herb dip. We noticed several plates, sandwiches etc, coming from the kitchen to other tables and it all looked great. Two things I appreciate - proper shaped stemed wine glasses for the wine and huge clear ice cubes for the cocktails. We had a few questions and the staff was gracious and knowledgeable. We chatted a bit with the owner and he has a good handle on what the space should be. I look forward to many visits.
