"Diamond’s Steak & Seafood is now dishing up filet mignon tip skewers and seared scallops in Royal Oak’s former Cantina Diablos space. The Howell-based restaurant owned by restaurateur Adam Merkel debuted its second location on the ground floor of the 100 S. Main St. building last week. The newly minted, 7,000-square-foot Diamond’s Steak & Seafood in Royal Oak was designed by architect Ron Rea and seats 173 customers across the dining room, bar, and patio. It also features two private dining rooms, each seating 50 people. On the menu, developed by chef Craig Myrand, find options like steak salad, burgers, blackened ahi tuna, and carrot cake. The restaurant also features a full bar. On the weekends, Diamond’s will serve a buffet-style brunch." - Brenna Houck

Haven’t been here in a while so we decided to try Diamonds. Walked in around 4:00 and plenty of room at the bar. (Key point) Food was pretty good! If you get the tips, get the sauce on the side. Its glorified ketchup…IMO. Oh and please lose the crushed ice in the old fashioned! Pet peeve of mine. Not a show stopper but having a $16 drink turn to water is sad. You need ice balls or big cubes. Ok so…food was good but the bar staff is WAY over worked. We sat at the far end of the bar at the “hot corner”. There were constantly 4-6 workers TRYING to get their job done but they were all battling for a place to work. They were hustling but we were never asked if we wanted another drink, how our food was or if we needed anything. BUT…I don’t blame the staff. They were too busy tripping over each other. Was the food good? Yes Will we be back? Maybe.

Google
Second tune there. If you desire quality and service above others I recommend here. We enjoyed a variety dishes. The staff knowledgeable and competent. The food quality was perfect and fresh. Would recommend. It is higher on price bracket so I would keep that in mind when going in.

Google
Was recommended to go here and drove about 30 minutes here with 4 other co-workers. Very quick service. The ribeye was very good, not to fatty and full of flavor. The burger was large and flavorful, the desserts were just the right sweet. The brie app was very well prepared and tasted great. The calamari was not rubbery at all and was a good order. Our waitress gave great recommendations based off what we liked. The mac and cheese here was also Great.

Google
Unfortunately this was our first time and probably our last time going to dinner here. Not only did we get seats 30 minutes after our reservation time but they ran out of the meat my husband wanted plus the sides that were supposed to come with the meals. For $60-$70 a meal, we definitely did NOT get what we paid for. Each meal came with literally 3 asparagus stalks and a cup of burnt Brussel sprout leaves. I only have this a 1 because we got a comp for half of one of our meals. They should have prepared better for a day like Valentine’s Day.

Google
Our server Brie was awesome, and this was one of the most allergy conscious places I've been to outside a major city, so that was a huge benefit! I had the ribeye which was great, and overall the menu selection is fantastic. My only complaint was the timing of the evening, we arrived and were seated quickly but it took a bit prior to ordering and receiving drinks. When we did get them we hadn't ordered appetizers so those took a bit to come too, then the main course was also delayed. Despite not being busy, we spent almost 2 hours there, which was too long for our party which included several young children. Again, the food was good overall and we really appreciated our server, but the logistics of the establishment needed to be improved substantially. Just my opinion on this particular night, still had a great time. Thanks!

Google
Good ambiance and spacious restaurant. Our server was excellent! Thank you again. We had a special event with a large party. We had two issues with our dinner experience. First is, there is no beer on draft! Odd for a steak restaurant. Second is they only serve prime rib on Fri/Sat, which is fine, but they ran out! We had a 5:30 reservation and we were told there was only two prime rib steaks left! Our whole table wanted prime rib , so obviously disappointed!

Google
took my husband here for his birthday dinner tonight, both enjoyed our meals. He got the crab cakes which he said were good, but less breading. I got the 3 meat platter, it was excellent. Our server, Holly, did a great job!

Google
Went here for my wife's birthday 🎂. The restaurant is right downtown Howell. Beautiful atmosphere! Food and service were outstanding. We had the spinach dip. Both ordered steak that were cooked to perfection. The waitress was very friendly. They brought my wife's carrot cake out with a huge sparkler fir her birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 Highly recommend 💚💯💯

Yelp
Seriously amazing. Wasn't expecting a lot in a smaller town, and was sooo wrong! We came today after a local comp at 3 fire elementary, and will try and make it back again. Nicer dining atmosphere without going all the way to fine dining. Husband got the steak special, loved it. I got the fish special, love it. My daughter got a side of the Brussels and stole a bit of my husband's steak, and absolutely loved it (especially the Brussels). Now my picky son got the Alfredo pasta.... But ordered the enchiladas soup as a side (I think), and didn't love the smell? Strange child. He just pushed it away, and another lady noticed and inquired. THEY BROUGHT HIM ANOTHER SIDE OF HIS CHOOSING?!?! The lady didn't make him feel weird about it, nor seemed annoyed. She gets extra extra points for this! He loved his pasta as well. Drinks were kept full, and coffee warmed. Then at the end... my daughter finally made it obvious why she only got a side dish. She had her eye on a dessert, the pot de creme. This child (young adult) is VERY picky about this particular dish. She LOVED IT! Thanks for a great surprise meal! We maybe 90 min away, but will likely take side trips to visit!

Yelp
This was our first time back in probably 10 years. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was, from the bread to the salads to the entrees and cocktails. The mixed grill and ribeye were outstanding. Service was great as well - never waited or wanted for anything. Ambiance was fantastic, as we sat outside and people watched on Grand River. Super enjoyable dinner and we'll definitely be back - much sooner this time!

Liz W.

Yelp
It's good. Not great. Absolutely fantastic server. I don't think I'd hike out to Howell for it again but I had a nice experience. Basic salads but delicious dressings. Id opt for Caesar nect time, they looked better. The freebie rolls were very nice with the sweet honey butter. I had lobster risotto which was really tasty. Creamy and the rice was perfect. Just enough toppings to make it texturally interesting but not take it over. My husband liked their shrimp pasta creation but thought the crab cakes on it had way too much breading and found the asparagus woody and stringy. He was disappointed. The carrot cake was perfection. Warm and nutty with a generous amount of frosting. It was tasty without being overly sweet. Gooey and satisfying.

Yelp
Great steak good service loaded potatoes were fiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee.

Alaina G.

Yelp
walking distance from our house which is a win! another win, the BEST brussells ever! we always get the almond brie as well. usually easy to get a table, and love when outdoor seating is available. i suggest the drink with the fun dry ice!

Maryann M.

Yelp
Food was great, service awesome great place for a nice steak and anything else your craving.

Amy F.

Yelp
we sat in booth behind wine where everyone was coming in and out, we were being hit with cold air the whole time. People walking by us the entire time, I was cold my whole dinner and my appetizer never came.

Sandy M.

Yelp
Great service and good food, love their outdoor patio that allow us to bring our puppy. Will definitely comeback again next time

Annie A.

Yelp
We were able to sit outside on a nice summer night on the patio area. The service was quick and friendly but it was about 10 pm so there weren't many other people there eating. We started with the nut crusted Brie with berry compote. It was delicious but very sweet- the pita chips were covered in Cinnamon sugar and honey. I ordered the steak brazzo for my entree and it was good but was expecting more meat. I did like the mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce that it came with. My boyfriend got the steak skewers which come with a sweet chili sauce which tasted a little spicy for the record.

Allen M.

Yelp
The food is good but the service is less than satisfactory our server Jack was very rude. It was a birthday dinner for our daughter and it really put a damper on the evening. I have been at Diamonds several times but it had been awhile. It used to be packed but last night it was 2/3rds empty. I heard it sold and the new owners are absent. I asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't one I don't know if its management or culture changed but we won't be back.

Matt G.

Yelp
Party of four on a Friday night... every bit of food was fantastic. Highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip for a starter, along with the 1983 pasta, filet tips and scallops. Service was excellent too. Definitely worth checking out for an upscale night.

Michael L.

Yelp
You have heard it before if I could give less than one star I would. Took my son and wife out for her birthday dinner and had the WORST meal in a long time. Seating was as awful as the food. Bread was not even cooked, looked and tasted liked undercooked pillsbury dough balls. Spinach dip was subpar Fridays recipe. Oysters Rockefeller were 4 small oysters with what tasted like the subpar spinach dip tossed on top and put under a broiler finished with an indescribable sauce. YUCK. German tomato soup was ice cold. Perch was drowned in oil and tasted like absolutely nothing. Filet was ordered medium rare and looked and tasted like it was cooked in an old fashioned betty crocker oven with the light bulb, way to rare. YUCK. BUT all was not lost. My wife did get the steak tips that she seemed to like, so I guess it worked out at least she had a good dinner. Stay away from this place, read the rest of the reviews before wasting your moneyl YUCK.

Sherry H.

Yelp
It is my birthday today and I was thrilled they were open for lunch. Service was outstanding. The bread was clunky. The drinks were superb. Food was great. Carrot cake was the very best.

Cheryl R.

Yelp
The service and food was outstanding. It was our first time there and can't say nought about the ambience and the service and food. we were celebrating our anniversary and loved every minute. Music was not so loud you couldn't have a conversation.

Mary S.

Yelp
first, i made Mother's Day reservations & they neglected to mention it is a buffet. so disappointed. second, food was ok until they began overstocking the offerings which made them extremely dry. third, $158. for 2 people was quite expensive for the quality & we only had 2 alcoholic beverages. fourth, as i began to look around i noticed the floors are disgustingly dirty, bathroom included (not a pleasant smell!) not sure i'll be revisiting this establishment. sorry, they can do better than this!!! just get a clean mop!

camila k.

Yelp
The service was amazing, shout out to Ro! He was so attentive and helpful. The food came out amazing, the gluten free pasta was probably the best I've had. I do think it's a bit overpriced for what it is..

Yelp
We moved to the Howell area 2014 and have watched and enjoyed the redevelopment and expansion of Diamond's and other Adam Merkel restaurants. Sadly Diamond's has declined to a level of mediocrity in their products and service that are insulting at their price point. My family and I frequented Diamond multiple times on a weekly basis prior to the pandemic and did our best to support and understand the lack of quality during the pandemic. But, after our most recent experiences over the last year it's clear that Diamonds has lowered its standard while raising its costs. I present to you a $45 filet mignon, $15 Rangoons and 3 pieces of steak for $17. What used to be a go to for fine dining with elevated tastes has fallen so far that I hope this review is a warning to all that read it. Costs are rising, wages are rising and we understand that however as the price points raise we still expect and deserve quality product and service. You've failed to elevate the latter with the former. Based on my previous attempts to reach management via in person, email and phone calls I highly doubt this review will be considered by anyone other than the viewers looking for a decent meal. Run. These diamonds are zirconia.

Kerry M.

Yelp
Called ahead for carrot cake after an amazing dinner at another establishment. We did not have a reservation at Diamonds and our only option was dining at the bar. We opted to go elsewhere for dinner. We were excited for the carrot cake as we've indulged previously and the piece of cake was more than enough for two people. When we got home and opened the bag like children on Christmas morning, we were a bit disappointed in the portion of our carrot cake this go-round. When you are paying $10 for a piece of carrot cake, I feel it better be far better than anticipated. Don't get me wrong, the carrot cake tastes amazing; the portion size for the $10 price tag was a bit of a let down.

Yelp
We were entertaining our grandson who was visiting from Texas. It was his birthday and he is used to very good restaurants in Austin. It was very busy but we were seated on time. The waitress was super. Never pressured us and the food was wonderful. Guys had ribeye and prime rib. I had crab cakes. Sides were delicious. Even though it was packed we felt we had a private table. We are taking friends back this weekend for another birthday. We live in East Lansing and will be regulars. What a great surprise Diamonds was to all of us!

Lauren A.

Yelp
We used to absolutely love this restaurant and would go way out of our way to visit. Since it moved, they have gotten rid of everything that made it great (stroganoff, coconut shrimp, brown bread) and the food they now have is terrible. It's a tragedy and we will not be back.

Thomas B.

Yelp
We have wanted to visit this restaurant for awhile now based on several previous YELP Reviews. Becca provided us with stellar courteous and efficient service tonight . The food was beyond our expectations and the complimentary carrot cake was totally unexpected and appreciated. ( We are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary.) Both my wife and I agree that we will return another time! Thanks Becca and the the cooking staff for a memorable dinner!

MacKenzie D.

Yelp
I am not the type to leave bad reviews, but I visited diamonds after about 5-6 years of not going there & I was so disappointed. I was pregnant so wanted a steak tip salad while we were in the area, we got there right when they opened. I asked for medium well steak on my salad and they came out completely charred. I complained right away and they brought a new salad out, again... very charred. It was so charred that it was gross to eat. I couldn't finish my salad. The waiter was super nice & offered us free dessert, he also noticed I didn't eat the salad so he took it off the bill. The free dessert we got was the butter cake, it was also super dry & not how it used to taste 5 years ago. Overall disappointed in the whole experience & food. I will say the spinach dip was good, but the pitas were over baked and the spinach dip was also burnt on top!

Janet H.

Yelp
Mothers Day Brunch! The dinner portion hours. $500 for horrible, cold, dry, season less, boxed/canned food. I try to find the good in something, anything but there wasn't a thing. All 6 guest have agreed. Anytime no one goes for another portion, that says it all. I did go back to check out the dessert choices: all China Buffet type choices. Menu; crab cakes, noodles, beef stroganoff (no beef), skewered chicken, carved ham and roast beef, etc. No burners were in use to keep any of the food at at least room temperature! Service was very good. Waitress was quite attentive to our group. Ambiance is quite possibly good during normal business. Oh yeah, the red potatoes with parsley were 1"x1" burned/hard cooked.

John P.

Yelp
The Diamonds restaurant of years past had great food, friendly and personable service, and a warm ambiance. After the owners of the original Diamonds restaurant were bought out, the food was just "okay", definitely not great. Prices went up significantly, ambiance was cold, service was stand-off-ish. I won't be back.

Robert W.

Yelp
Good food and service. Great location inside very nice staff very friendly and informative

Whitney R.

Yelp
Oh this place was absolutely awful. Easily the worst steakhouse I've ever been to. I took my partner there for her birthday and it was such a let down. When we got our steaks, they were both extremely overcooked but also cold. It was like eating a hockey puck. And it's so expensive for what you get. I work in the area and brought up this place to my coworkers and we all just went on and on about how awful it is. The waitress was also not that nice. We'll never go back.

Dayna B.

Yelp
We are always happy when we come here. The food is excellent and we really enjoy the ambiance. The servers know the menu and can make great recommendation and are very attentive.

K G.

Yelp
Where do I start? Our waitress was either just naturally super chill (think sloth from zootopia) or had taken something to help her be super chill. She was in no rush whatsoever. What she was really great at was going to the beverage station and texting. Which cool, I get it, but a drink at all your tables first would be nice, also maybe not while your section is packed. The food was ok. Things seemed kinda salty but I'm gonna chalk that up to never having a drink refill. The steak tips were cooked exactly to order which was refreshing. The vibe in there though was just kinda off. I'd like to give it more stars but...I can't. I only had 2 in my pocket for this place.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Food-great Service-great Ambiance-great Just a nice place to eat. A bit on the expensive side but good food and the service are worth the price. It's also a nice place to go for special events and holiday meals.

Amy M H.

Yelp
Went for a nice dinner with my husband and left very disappointed. for starters we made reservations at 5:30 on a Wednesday when we arrived. Our table was dirty , seats were also dirty , silverware was nasty‍ . There was only two tables other than ourselves . We ordered crabcakes, the middle was cold. I let that slide because the waitress had not been back to check on us . I could see a group of workers just chatting away . When my scallops and mushrooms came . My scallops looked burned so I asked for another one to be made . Also they were not large sea scallops like they used to be . When my next order came out they brought just the scallops so I had cold burned shrooms and broiled scallops and they gave me sour cream instead of the champagne sauce . At this point I was over it . My husbands mixed grill came out chargrilled completely burned and they made sure to put the burned side down so when it came out it looked fine . It's as if whomever was cooking just completely forgot about our meal . He ordered another and the shrimp and chicken wasn't cooked but burned on just one side again . Before I sent any food back I placed a dinner Togo for our son at home . I also had started dinner with a glass of wine . The manager then came over and apologized saying he was going to comp our entire meals because we were pretty upset and disappointed . I didn't even eat anything but my salad and 1 cold crab cake . My husand ate a few bites and that was it . For being not busy there is no excuse in the world for this kind of service . I also wanted another glass of wine and had to wave down our server due to her chatting with her team members . I ordered two carrot cakes to go . Our bill came it was still over $100 . We left hungry , having to eat elsewhere after spending nearly 2 hours and $100 not to eat . I'm disgusted honestly and it's a shame this place has went completely down hill especially for the prices and quality they say they have . They should just stick with their carrot cake because everything else was not okay . The one star is just for the cake

Casey S.

Yelp
Service was wonderful! She even bagged my leftovers. The pasta has very fresh spices and parsleys. The crab cakes were the best! My husband steak was cooked perfectly. I will be back. It was decorated nice.

Lydia F.

Yelp
We were really disappointed with our trip to Diamonds. Some things about the restaurant are really cool, for example, they partner with local businesses to source a lot of their menu items locally. Their pasta is one example. Their bread is locally made too, and very good. We made reservations, but there was still a little bit of a wait. We paid a lot extra to get the dry aged New York strip, which I thought would have been impressive. It was such a disappointment. It was severely overcooked. The beef stroganoff, on the other hand, was really good. Their famous steak tips are mixed with a yummy sauce and pasta. We got the carrot cake for free as a yelp check in, and I am glad it was for free because I definitely would have been mad if we had paid for it. It was dry and made almost entirely of raisins.

Nate A.

Yelp
Salmon was burnt, extra side of scallops came out in burnt, the service was awful, I think her name was Cecilia. Two servers for the whole restaurant she couldn't keep up. Greeting took 10 minutes initially, no bread offered. Just not an overall great experience for a $140 bill. Very disappointed; no manager on the floor whatsoever. Gave them a second chance and just like last time it wasn't great. Will not be giving them my business anymore. Buyer beware!

Kait L.

Yelp
I don't understand some of the negative reviews listed on here. Our rather large group of about 10 friends had a wonderful dinner last Saturday. We had a wide range of foods - starting with delicious bread/cinnamon butter to enjoy before our meal. We had a variety of items from the menu including the mixed grill, steak brasso, filet tips, crab cakes, chicen skewers and I personally had the seafood pasta which was absolutely fantastic (and I am from New Orleans - so very hard to please). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal including the wonderful carrot cake! Our server, Hailey, was so professional and friendly - just perfectly taking care of all us! We cannot wait to go back!

Alison H.

Yelp
Food is awesome. Service is top notch. Atmosphere is really cool. Highly recommended!

Natalie B.

Yelp
Amazing service by Becca the waitress she was just wonderful she knew exactly how to serve people that have a toddler with them she took an extra care and making sure the hot plates were not put in front of him The food was amazing I will say my salad wasn't that great I was disappointed they did not put the blue cheese crumbled blue cheese on it but they made it right this morning with a gift card The rest of the food we had crab cakes lobster tail was absolutely a 5 plus star very yummy yummy The service like I said is utmost wonderful and they're very caring there

Mark M.

Yelp
With the name Diamond's Steak and Seafood and the seemingly upscale appearance for a small town eatery, I was quite disappointed in my recent dining experience there. I ordered the ribeye medium fully expecting a decent cut of ribeye at the 39.00 price tag. A reasonable price for a good ribeye....that was not the case. The steak was about a 1/2" thick at best and overdone and tasted more like a lean sirloin than a ribeye. Perhaps they do other fare well but in my estimation they need to up their steak game to a better cut of meat (or sourcing?) . Other than that the place has a nice upscale feel and pleasing aesthetics. If only I could have gotten a good steak.

Renée H.

Yelp
We showed up last Saturday night without a reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday. Unfortunately they were packed due to area homecoming attendees. However, there were two seats at the bar, so we snatched them up and watched the game! The menu is great, so hard to choose. Everything was hot and delicious. The only constructive criticism I have would be the length of time with service. We waited 20+ minutes between the dinner events (greeting, beverage delivery, order in, appetizer, main course, and dessert). However, we aren't complaining and will be back.

Corbin O.

Yelp
Let me start off by the staff and the drinks were great! The steak on the other hand was blah... as a steak house I expect not to have to use A1 sauce. The steak was not seasoned at all, even with salt and pepper. I'm giving a four star because the venue and staff was amazing! They offered us a new steak or dessert and really cared about us not caring for the steak. Other than the steak we had calamari and French onion soup. These were both phenomenal! Give this place a try, we're just getting over a pandemic!

Janelle V.

Yelp
The restaurant seems upscale for the area and overall the menu has a great selection. The customer service was great! However, the food was just okay. I ordered my filet medium only for it to come out very well done and charred. I hated turning it away knowing it would just go in the trash, but it was inedible. The manager was very sweet and offered us free dessert for the mistake. The Valentine's Day drink was very delicious, as were the crispy brussel sprouts and crème brûlée. The bathrooms need some TLC, they were quite dirty.

Shannon T.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday night 7:00ish for dessert.. ordered a Spanish Coffee (for me) and a coffee and carrot cake (for the hubby). First of all.. the Spanish coffee tasted "off" I did watch the bartender look for and ingredient.. it was super duper citrus flavored which I've never experienced in all my years and places of ordering a Spanish coffee ‍. Hubby got his coffee but waited nearly 15 min for his carrot cake. The portion size of the cake has really shrunk compared to what we use to get.. flavor and taste were excellent as always just small portion compared to the past.. so for $30 we got a coffee, carrot cake and a Spanish coffee.. kinda steep considering down the road we got 2 bottles of wine, amazing salad (with leftovers) and fantastic bread sticks for $60.. we keep trying to love this place just always it's just Meh

Chrissy C.

Yelp
We placed a carry out for 2 orders of ceviche a few days ago and this is what we found when we got home. To say we were very disappointed is an understatement. The chips were soggy and inedible and the ceviche was all over the place in the bottom of the container. Gulf Shrimp Ceviche is on the menu for $12.50 each, so $25.00 went right down the garbage disposal. Time to teach the servers that dry, crispy chips do not sit on top of anything that has liquid on it. Call the course "Basic Serving for Dummies." Now, to be fair, for the following reasons this review deserves 5 stars. We've eaten there a million times and have never had an issue until now. The Filet Mignon Tips are excellent, the steaks are always superb, the seafood is delicious, salads are always fresh, and the desserts will make your mouth water so we'll forgive this one time blunder. But watching $25 go down the drain makes 2 stars go down with it. Will we ever go back? Heck yes! Maybe tonight!

Beth H.

Yelp
Fine dining for a special occasion, however, we get the most enjoyment from a visit on a random weeknight just for a good dinner. Quality food, excellent service and great wine. The draught beer selection is impressive for a restaurant. The house wines are economical and nicely balanced. Bottles run $25. They have two reds and two whites to choose from. The rest of the wine list is fine, but I am also fine with the house and don't bother with any other. The skewers are typically our favorite, however, I opted for a med rare Ribeye this visit. Fatty, juicy and perfectly cooked. It was heaven. I asked for the Danish bleu cheese to be left on the side and very glad I did, as I am not a fan. I did try a bit though and it maybe good if you like that sort of cheese, however, the cheese really overpowered the flavor of the steak. Hubs asked for his loaded smashed potatoes to be extra loaded and they delivered. The crispy brussell sprouts were crispy, but also had a bit of agave sriracha liquid in the bottom of the remekin and a lime wedge on the side. Completely changed the flavor and was a nice surprise. The mac n cheese was perfection, as always - but to note - it's not sharp cheddar or any big flavor, just nicely done pasta and cheese sauce. Red pepper flake added to the top really sets it off. Chelsea was our server - she hustled for her tables. Great attitude and didn't let a spare minute go to waste, either. If she wasn't waiting, she was cleaning! Gotta love a clean restaurant. Parking can be challenging but we always find a spot, even with a huge truck. Diamond's is an absolute must try for anyone. If you have an issue - they will fix it. Don't skip the carrot cake.

Caroline W.

Yelp
Our local hometown restaurant that we will continue to come back too as long as we're around!! Andrew B. has been our server multiple times and has treated us with 5 star treatment each time. He goes above and beyond all expectations and carries professional friendly service. We must note the chef and their specials. Absolutely phenomenal each time. I have attached the photo of the tomahawk steak.. AMAZING. Price doesn't matter for food and service this good. Thank you all waitstaff!!

Diane H.

Yelp
Food is awesome. The service is impeccable for sure a 5 star service. The ambiance is also great. There is not a bad seat in the restaurant! I do recommend reservations on the weekends, especially on Friday, and Saturday evenings.

Luke C.

Yelp
You can make a reservation the day of, but if you cancel it 15 minutes later because plans change they charge your credit card $25 a person for how many anticipated people would be there. Dinner for 4 was $100 and we didn't even get to go because of a family issue. Unbelievable. Also on the times that we did go it's Great for a restaurant if you want any craft drink starting at $15 per. It's Howell it's not Chicago I don't know where they get off charging that much for a damn old fashion!

Andrea S.

Yelp
Bleak: a word I would use to describe the organization and preparedness of this restaurant. To start, the hostess was frazzled. Even with a reservation, we waited 30 minutes to be seated with no status provided. We waited another 35 for our appetizer. Our servers, were kind, aloof, and snail-like, and at the whim of the kitchen. The food was flavorful; however the steak was not cooked to the requested temperature. It is worth an 18 minute wait, but not the overall 2+ hour wait we had tonight. Very rarely will I write a review on the spot but I was overcome with frustration as I continued to wait for my dessert order to be taken. The least you can do is set the mood with a lit candle and please do not seat people in the back room which has the acoustics of a padded cell. My ears are ringing. Live update: Now they are resetting the furniture around us because we are one of the only tables left. Such a commotion. ...Ok at this point I am live reviewing. It's my birthday and they just forgot the candle. We just expressed some of these concerns to the server and hIs response was, "I'm sorry, let me get you a comment card and we hope you give us another try." Bleak.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday I had the spinach dip and homemade pita chips for an appetizer. For my meal I had the seafood linguine and it came with 2 crab cakes. This meal was so flavorful and filling. The service was phenomenal. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
The place was fine. But, to be honest I was a bit disappointed. The reputation of the restaurant led me to believe I would like it better.
