Fine dining for a special occasion, however, we get the most enjoyment from a visit on a random weeknight just for a good dinner. Quality food, excellent service and great wine.
The draught beer selection is impressive for a restaurant. The house wines are economical and nicely balanced. Bottles run $25. They have two reds and two whites to choose from. The rest of the wine list is fine, but I am also fine with the house and don't bother with any other.
The skewers are typically our favorite, however, I opted for a med rare Ribeye this visit. Fatty, juicy and perfectly cooked. It was heaven. I asked for the Danish bleu cheese to be left on the side and very glad I did, as I am not a fan. I did try a bit though and it maybe good if you like that sort of cheese, however, the cheese really overpowered the flavor of the steak. Hubs asked for his loaded smashed potatoes to be extra loaded and they delivered. The crispy brussell sprouts were crispy, but also had a bit of agave sriracha liquid in the bottom of the remekin and a lime wedge on the side. Completely changed the flavor and was a nice surprise. The mac n cheese was perfection, as always - but to note - it's not sharp cheddar or any big flavor, just nicely done pasta and cheese sauce. Red pepper flake added to the top really sets it off.
Chelsea was our server - she hustled for her tables. Great attitude and didn't let a spare minute go to waste, either. If she wasn't waiting, she was cleaning! Gotta love a clean restaurant.
Parking can be challenging but we always find a spot, even with a huge truck. Diamond's is an absolute must try for anyone. If you have an issue - they will fix it. Don't skip the carrot cake.
